Lived in London for years and this was the first time I’ve been into St Paul’s! Well worth the visit, the views at the top were amazing.
What an awesome virtual. I haven’t actually been here before and it has been a place I wanted to visit for a while. I haven’t been able to go in and I want to do this with the family so I’m saving it for then. What a beautiful building. Managed to get someone to take a pic- yay! TFTC
During this Football Weekend, I take the opportunity to visit these different sites
Thanks for everything

The rain stopped and the sun appeared making for a very enjoyable visit to St Paul’s Cathedral on this extra day of caching. TFTC.
Our geocaching week started once again around Frankfurt ...
On Sunday morning we flew from Berlin-Tegel to start a week full of adventure
We did not only pay by euros and British pounds but also by favourite points ... and that despite I only have so few of them left ... it is time to stock them up by a powertrail
On Monday evening we continued to London-Stansted and from there headed south to Stonehenge, before we strolled around London for about two days. On Friday (veeeeery early in the morning) we took a flight to Cologne, where we had planned to visit the mega event in Bonn on Saturday. Of course a few special treasures were visited before we had to leave on
Sunday morning, with reams of earworms, back to Berlin. Well, but after one trip is before the next and so while logging online, I will once again reminisce about this brilliant week. I am really looking forward to the next adventure... The world is my playground
About the cache:
During our trip to London St. Paul‘s was a must see of course.
Many thanks to all cacheowners for this great week, the unique places you showed us and best regards from Berlin from

First of all I would like to thank all owners of virtual and earth caches, who reacted so quickly and kindly to our answers and confirmed their log permission.
We landed in STN this evening, took our rental car and drove towards the mystical stone circle. To Salisbury.
The next morning things got up early because many miles and interesting caches were planned.
First we visited a virtual "Salisbury Cathedral" with the Walking Madonna.
Then it went to Stonehenge.
We parked at the visitor parking lot and walked around 2km to the stones.
It was an impressive sight.
Then we drove over Woodhenge to The Sun Gap Cache and then east to Ultimate Treasure Seeker.
After a very muddy strenuous climb, we were rewarded with a closed rainbow.
I will print out this photo and hang it on the wall.
Madness! Thanks TurnerTribe.
The handpicked caches led us further south.
"In the Footsteps of Edward Thomas" - was our next goal. Here, too, came a friendly confirmation from the owner.
Now it was a little longer to get there. It went to
Halnaker Windmill.
After that it was hello Ärmelkanal!!
We visited one
Ridder Tiuri earth cache at sunset and almost complete low tide.
There was a lot to discover here.
Thank you my dear for the friendly communication.
In the dark we drove to another very exciting virtual cache: "Rock Faces" by Moody from trapps.
A place with soul.
I felt something here.
It was mystical.
We visited the webcam in the same place near the Skinner's School.
Afterwards it was time for the evening and off to the accommodation.
The next morning we went to the
Royal Observatory Greenwich Cache.
From now on we left our rental car in the garage of our accommodation and went a lot on foot and also by bus and subway. the next destinations were the British library, platform 9¾ and also the most famous zebra crossing in the world. it went on to Paddington and further into the city center to Trafalgar Square and also to Harry Potter's Diagon Alley.
Day 3:
day three started on this beautiful "island" and after the bus we ran many miles through London City. museum of london, golden gallery, st. Paul cathedral, Millenium Bridge, borogugh Market, London bridge, tower bridge, tower of London, let a squirrel bite me at GC7B7J1, we were high up in the sky garden, Monument of the great fire, and on a T4.5 = Under the boardwalk.

Here we were able to determine the information we were looking for well, send the owner the answers and take the desired photo and attach it to this log.
it is not enough just to be a fox, you also have to know about the forest

unfortunately the time was not enough to climb the upper level. Sorry for that, but some other caches waiting along the way today.

I've always wanted to visit the Whispering Gallery, so a trip here was always on the cards. Unfortunately, not only did we run out of time (and money - it's not cheap to get in!), but the gallery's been closed for the last year, so we had to make to with the attached photo's instead TFTC
St Paul's is a spectacular structure and was enjoyable to visit as it lacks the crowds you run into at other London sites. While the Whispering Gallery was closed, I was not going to miss out on visiting the upper galleries. If I'm going to do a cache, I'm going to do it 100%. Even my little ones were gung ho about climbing all the way to the top, so everyone was very excited and felt quite victorious when we made it to the top and took in the fantastic view all around. Deserving of a favorite point. Thank you for maintaining this virtual and TFTC.
On our Hop on Hop off tour we stopped for visiting this cathedral. I was very impressed of it. Thanks for this VC and greets from Austria!
Today we made a Trip with the bus and so we also stopped here to lit a candle and have a Short look into the cathedral. Thanks for showing.
Visiting this cache during our short holidays in London.
Many thanks for showing and TFTC

Marshall’s Geelong found this virtual today, didn’t realise you could go up it! Such a beautiful church, I wish we had more time here! Very cold and windy today.

Always enjoy grabbing the old virtuals.....and with the added bonus of trip up about 500 stairs to get to the required area, this one was fun. No problems getting up the top with about 50 other people and once there, lots of photo's were taken...with the one required from on the to of the lsit.
That done, it was back to earth and off to find something else. Thanks for the fun and exercise with this one. Fav point added. Greeting from Australia....

After looking at all the beautiful scenic photos already posted that are similar to many I took, I decided to post the photo of what I saw when I looked back as I came out of the stairway onto the Golden Gallery ... No Way Down ... for a moment I was almost afraid I was going to be stuck up there, and me not to fond of heights! What some of us won't do to get that next cache.
dog’s little tracks were filled in within ten minutes of his morning stroll.
The snow is light and fluffy, and puffs away from my boot if I stamp my
foot. I’ll bet the alpine skiing today will be outstanding, especially if it keeps
on snowing. Nordic trekking will be great as well, whether on skis or snowshoes;
this last storm of the year should make outdoor enthusiasts very happy indeed. The
wind is going to pick up speed as the day wears on, so be extremely careful on your
way to and from festive events later tonight. Drive defensively, and if you plan on
celebrating with alcohol, use a designated driver or have your own party at home.
When I let the dog out at midnight, snow was gently falling and
there were three inches of soft fluff decorating the yard. Later the
wind came up into gale force gusts, and now the yard is bald as an
egg, with no trace of last night’s magical carpet. Fresh new snow adds
more bulk to wind-driven sheets of blown powder; when I stepped out-
side earlier I was too occupied with merely breathing in and out to pay much
attention to the view. The wind is straight out of the northwest, frigid and literally
breathtaking. A broad band of lake effect snow is just to the south of us; if it drifts
north only a couple of miles, we will be in the thick of it. I imagine that the snow
is sticking to the forest floor, and when the wind dies down the skiing should
be pretty good in sheltered spots. As it is now, there is too much debris
falling along with the snow to be safe in the woods. I wonder how
many wild critters get bonked on the head by branches and such
as they go about their business on a windy morn such as this?
Little dense snowballs falling from the sky are so small that they are
nearly invisible, but boy, howdy, I could feel their sandblasting sting when
I was outside earlier. Free dermabrasion, courtesy of Mother Nature. They
sit on the bare ground in the yard like a truckload of styrofoam beads has
been scattered, perfectly round and white against the frozen crushed shale." />

A Big thanks to the cache Owner for his/her effort to contribute to the Caching community by hiding this cache.
Had a wonderful time in London with Junior. The weather was fantastic and we enjoyed visiting a lot of the sites, spending hours in the Science Museum and doing a bit of shopping. We also managed to fit in a bit of geocaching. With time being limited we picked a number a caches we definitely had to attempt.
This was one of them. Standing at the bottom looking up I have to admit we weren't too keen on the prospect of all the steps. But I am glad we did do the trek. Boy, was it worth it. Great views. Especially on a clear day.
Thanks for bringing us up here. Without geo caching especially one member of the party would have persuaded me to stay low.

Unfortunately the entry to visit the Golden Gallery on Top was closed on Sunday. So I made a photo-shot from the bottom "with" the Golden Gallery. Later I took a similious view from the monument, witch was also difficult to climb

After 15 years of living in and around London, finally made it for a visit today. We have so much for which to thank geocaching, and this was another stunning example. The Church has so much to show, and a good stiff climb up to the top through all those narrow little passages was a bonus. The view today was spectacular as visibility was excellent and the trip ultimately better than going for a flight on the wheel as there were no time constraints. Pity no photos inside. And a virtual tb too. tftc and a favourite point.
We've not been to St Pauls since it's revamp and thoroughly enjoyed our visit here today. We spent a couple of hours looking at everything and then we started our climb. We stopped off on each level and spent some time trying the whispers, but didn't put enough 'power' into them, so it didn't work for us - that's what the warden told us, anyhow. The views from the top are spectacular. We could almost see our house .... This was an amazing and special cache to do and one of my favourites. TFTC
A visit to London, usually have Cee-Jay in tow, but not this weekend. Just needed one last souvenir for August, so what a way to finish this little challenge! I had attempted to come Sunday, but due to a lot of services, Sunday is not the best day to go! Returned today, ready for the climb. I did this first without picking up me headset etc! Stopped at the Whispering Galelry on the way up which was fabulous, had fun watching families trying it out! Went out for some views at the Stone Gallery too, but the rain was quite heavy, so I continued up and was rewarded by a view of London you would not otherwise get. Even with low cloud and rain it was stunning. Can only imagine what it would be like on a clear day! Thank you for this cache - definitely worth it! Fave point awarded!
I had planned to visit St. Pauls before even knowing that there was a virtual inside. I enjoyed the cathedral very much and of course climbed the tower. Thanks from the Netherlands.
I've lived in the south of England for many years and never been here. Fortunately my boyfriend bought me tickets for my birthday. I am a scared of heights but I made it to the top and it wasn't too bad. Amazing view. Photo sent by Tom Clark. TFTC
Gosh-pleased to have achieved this one. We stopped at the Whispering Gallery(nice easy wide steps to this) to admire the beautiful dome before moving on to the Stone Gallery. This level too was OK as the area is wide and the protecting barrier tall and strong! The view from here is pretty good too peering between the pillars. Now for the final push.... hmmm now it's hard! The stairs are narrow, spiral and made of holey metal and not my favourite bit. The Guide showed us the little window where we could peer down to the floor of the cathedral far, far below! Once at the top the barrier seemed quite low and like others I stayed close to the wall rather than the edge. The views are however absolutely stunning and well worth the puffing. I took some lovely pics and then set off down again which was much better and easier than I expected. Thanks you for setting a virtual cache here...definitely worth the entry fee for this bit alone and the rest of the church is wonderful too. I'm almost ashamed to say this is my first visit here. A favourite point!

I was here two years ago. Several new skyscrapers have gone up since my last visit.
Views from the Golden Gallery are fantastic!!!

Absolutely, it's a golden place here. The guide at the boat toldus that it's the cheapest way in London to get such a great view over the City. TFTC and greetings from Austria
A really excellent place for this ghostcache. We enjoyed the visit of the St.Paul's cathedral, the thombs and naturalley the golden Gallery.

Really enjoyed the cathedral today. We took a group of 12 scouts from BC Canada to the top. Wonderful.
we visited the st. pauls about more than 2 hours.
a very interesting building with a great history.
after the tour trough the church we climb to the dome.
if we stand on the golden gallery st. petrus was disgrunteld and send some drops from the sky.
a wonderful view over London. thanx.

St Paul's Cathedral was the first stop on our day of sight-seeing in London. We arrived early enough to find the front steps almost empty so it was perfect for photos. Once inside we had enough time to climb the stairs.
It wasn't so hard but we stopped on all the levels to catch our breaths.
Bee3 and bee4 being a bit younger, much fitter and a bit smaller scrambled up to the top quite quickly. At the top we had expansive views of London which was 1 of the 3 reasons for visiting the cathedral - the cathedral, the view and a cache.
tftc flashj and greetings from Australia.

Found it after dragging my mother up all the steps with me. Don't know how we did it and managed to smile at the end?? Thanks for the cache
Golden Gallery is still closed so I was only able to climb the 257 steps to the Whispering Gallery. Staff were conspicuous by their presence so discreet photo was not able to be take so an email with a link to a photo is being sent. Occupy campers still out the front of St Paul's. Thanks flashj for the cache.
I'm claiming mega bragging rights! Went right to the very top today. Legs are a little shaky right now. Photo to follow. Brilliant views.
Still getting over the effects of the trek to the top. Well worth the climb. I was talking to another tourist up there who said the view was better than that from the London Eye.

Absolutely the Best Cache we have ever done. Fantastic Views and a wonderful visit of a truely awsome building. Thank you for this terrific spot.
