Logged with permission thanks for the cache - will certainly try to return in summer as advised - yoyo + 2x mini pegs

Logged with permission. It must be said that we would NEVER have found this well kept park if it was not for this cache. Future cachers should find a lovely rose garden in the summmer. Today was a lovely spring day - if it was not for an appoinment we would have lingered longer. Nice hide. TFTC TNLN SL
3.00pm The cache is there but took a good look to find. Amazed to find that the answer to the question is a distant relative of ours!! Thank you Sallies for bringing us here. We should meet sometime. It may even be that we find we are related too?? David & Noeline
Found today by Mr Emu @ 3.05 p.m., GAFF3, and logged with permission. This was a nice big park to visit - pity the kids are 2500k's West of here at the moment! Oh well, I enjoyed my visit anyway. Found the cache reasonably quickly and then the additional information I needed after a short hunt around the area. Always nice to visit a park AND find out some of the history behind it's establishment. My thanks to Sallies for the cache.

Found it ok even if there were some picnicing muggles close by, sent the email with answers to the Sallies

Nice spot, + bath bomb, - Froggy. Thx, Had a Nice day introducing mate to this whole new world.
Yes I've found who Beverley is and lots of various bottles from passing revellers and bits of foliage presumably from previous searchers but no cache. Searched for a while until forced to abandon looking by school getting out and lots of passing students. Is it still there?
Great spot - didn't realise this place was so big - nicely tucked away. The paradise ducks are still about - see pic. TNLN. TFTC.
Found the cache then explored the entire park, during a recent trip to Christchurch. TNLN, TFTC.

Fair walk to get this one, but better than spending the night couped up in the hotel room. No problems finding the information or the cache.

Logged with permission. 8 am on a Monday isn't a good time. The muggles are all moving fast and they suddenly appear at the wrong time.
I didn't know the rose garden was there and I learnt a bit about my local area.

No one here when I visited. Lovely spot. Find was nice and easy as was the answer to the question.
Took the Navstar geocoin and have taken it north. No other exchange made as I left my goodie bag behind.
Thanks for this cache in such a pretty spot.

Great day for caching, and for some reason not many people about. Mrs Moose was looking around the gardens seeing what would be nice back home whilst I found the cache. Someone's put the Navstar coin in here that I had a couple of weeks ago, so left that for the next finder. TNLN Thanks.
Great cache, well hidden as it wass raining when we looked for it we got soaked. Thanks
Cool place, but we must have come just after work time as there were lots of people out walking their dogs. Managed to get it in the end, and had a fabulous time running through the rose garden sniffing all the different roses, fantasic, T4TC!
Nice spot, really only stumbled across it when driving through the area.
Whilst on holidays from Australia, the geaocaches have been good to see places nnot necessaryily listed in tourist stuff.

A lovely park almost in the middle of the city. No roses, though we did visit and use that area while a couple of muggles used the bench close to gz. Logged with permission - thanks for the cache.
E-mailed the answer. Nice park. Thought I should log it now as I took the Sign n Send Tb and left it at Buried Avenue. The tracking number does`nt work when I enter it so I can`t log it through the tracking system.

Nice easy find here today.. Took a wander around the park also. Never realised most of it was there. Thanks TNLN
First tried this with lat and long scribbled on a scrap of paper. No luck. Returned with solved hint in my head -- but after dark. + TB Sign'n'Send. - Nothing. Garden will be more interesting in summer. Thanks.
Logged with permission. The grass was flooded from the recent heavy rain but the cache was high and dry. Nice park, no muggles except a couple of kids on the playground. TNLN Thanks

Nice quiet park, we will have to come back in the summer to check out the gardens in bloom. Did our bit for CITO and picked up some nearby trash. Logged with permission. Think we made some small swaps but forgot to write it down, maybe bouncey ball for marble. TFTC

Did this cache on the morning of the Marathon, going round in circles to find a way to the correct park, as many roads were blocked off. So pleased to have found it, though, as it is a true gem! The roses still had some lovely old world fragances. Found the answer to the question - quite a surprise - and picked up TB da Snoopy Bruddha, as they did not look prepared for the likely icy storm brewing. Thanks Sallies for this cache placement - this is what we love about caching, taking us to lesser known places with history.
Did this cache with my two sisters, had a lot of fun on a lovely Autumn day after the Super 14 final. Sister dropped TB da Snoopy Bros into this cache

Found late Saturday afternoon. All very quiet and peaceful. Lots of bottles, cans & food rubbish in garden near cache so did a quick tidy up. Not an area I pass very often so quite surprised to find a rose garden tucked away at the back. Took a stone & left a shell.
Found it without to much trouble, driven past 100's of times never stoped, its much bigger than what I thought. My grandson had a great time here.
No swaps

Had to avoid muggles, but an easy find. Lovely spot out of the wind. TNLN, TFTC.
Logged with permission. It is a lovely spot and a treat, as always, to find some space in this sprawling town. We especially loved the outdoor space the house in the north west corner had created on their roof...including what looks like a spa! TFTC. TNLN.
Only in Christchurch for a short time, so didn't have a chance to track down who Beverley was unfortunately.
Lovely little park in the middle of town though.

I walked to this site from our holiday accommodation and made a quick find but stumbled on finding the info about Beverley.
In fact I had to return next morning for another look around. I asked two council workers and then a local lady who gave me quite a history lesson including the background to the Widows Walk on the nearby house but did not know the Beverley connection in spite of being a supporter of the local initiative. She wondered if perhaps Beverley was a mistress of a early leading citizen who lived nearby!
Luckily I persevered in my search in a direction she had told me would not help.
In the end I found the info myself, it was pretty obvious really but ultimately took me far longer than finding the cache.

Two "muggles" on a nearby seat were a frustration but I didn't have time to wait so quickly grabbed the cache and took it away from the immediate vicinity. The muggles then came over to see what I was doing so I gave them a run-down on the game (which they found quite interesting). They then departed, I replaced the cache and headed for The Square (and the Buskers Festival)

We have been keeping our eye on this cache site for some time now. The gardens have all been tidied up and the park is in very good condition. We have replaced the cache today so everything is in place. The new cache is a camo-painted vegemite jar.
The gardens have all had a lot of loving care and attention recently and the cache appears to be missing. We took a rubbish bag with us and cleared up any rubbish in the general area, but it wasn't too bad today. We will assess the situation in 2 or 3 weeks and see whether or not to put a cache back in place.
We found the location but it does not seem to be there. Are you sure it has not been plundered??
Couldn't find cache. Some undesirable rubber objects littered around area! Didn't want kids digging too much. Might pay to check if cache still there.
Found the cache but forgot to find the answer to the question while we were there - oops
Looks like the local lads are into Bourbon, half full bottle next to the seat!
Not many pages left in the book. Bag was torn so we replaced it.

Logged with permission of the Sallies. A nice easy find on a dreary morning. And the added bonus of meeting another cacher(Mordor&Andre) at the site. Took a small hair-tie(for my grand-daughter) and left the Wild, Wild West Saguaro Cactus TB
Found at night in the wet without GPS. Sent the answer to Sallies and bumped in to Gandalf the next morning rereading who is Beverly! Took bad teeth, popped party popper and left birthday candles.

Nice little park this one. Found cache straight away. Coords right on. Out: TB Some kind of strap. In: Carabiner

An easy find - although we did have a peek at the clue as it was too hot to start thrashing around. Too hot for muggles too. Loved the rose garden - Ciotach is now planning her next rose purchases! Logged with permission. Took red lizard, left a White King.
Another lovely place to visit in the evening. No muggles. Lots of mosquitos, but they weren't biting.

A nice "GPS discovered" park that is much bigger than it looks from Stanmore Road. The logbook made great reading - lots of people have stopped by this cache! Some suspicious looking characters looked like they might have been geocachers, but it turned out they were gardening The cache was dry and well hidden. TNLN Thanks for the cache Sallies.

After the good natured ribbing that we received at the Bear Left leaving party about the number of caches we found last year (8) we thought we better get out. This one was a real contrast to the other cache that we visited today - this was a traditional cache (like the caches when we first started caching). A box in a park (near a kids playground for good measure), which I have to say is probably the type of cache that we prefer (the instant gratification of finding the cache rather than finding a number on a pole, then another number on a plaque, then another number on post and then the cache if you haven't screwed up the maths). Good stuff Sallies. Added a marble and removed nothing.
Cheers Nick and Bernadette.
