Thanks Tramper Ted. Have checked cache site and to my dismay, yes the cache has gone and I suspect, not to a better place. I even checked in both directions along the trail for any discarded contents to no avail.
Those little %h#th&@ds with their spraycans serve no use to society.
Riverhills cache will be replaced shortly in a slightly different location.
It was tucked in under the N'Western end of the bridge closest to the football grounds.
Cheers

Second time trying to find this one. Area is badly vandalised, full of rubbish and tagged. Amazing the deterioration in a short time. Still couldn't find it. Would like to know if it is still in fact there. Tried all possible combinations of errors, locations etc etc. Oh dear. Watch your step on the way in from the fields too. Mozzies bad.
Reckon we were in the right place, and got filthy checking the troll home, but maybe its not the right one. GPS didn't match up with the information. Have to go back and sharpen up the investigation.
4.20pm. Floundered around a little with this one initially finding a route and at GZ but success was bliss. Lovely day for it.
+ toy car & rotozip keyring;
- soft woollen doll (covered in mould & needing a wash) & Gideons New Testament.

I'd missed this one at Xmas time but with a bit more experience under my belt found this quickly. I was in the act of writing up the log when a silent lady muggle appeared at my shoulder. Oops. Spent 5 mins explaining the basics of geocaching - she was a boatie and familiar with GPS - but declared that bowser (dog) was sufficient to get her out and about. Placed the cache back when she's gone so all's well. Thanks
On our way to visit our neice and this one came up so she had to wait. Plenty of soccer going on in the park, but no one anywhere near the walking path. A nice little bit of bush, the creek was a bit festy though. Found easily enough, +bible - Magnetic Key Holder and TB
2nd Find of the day, took quite a while, as co-ord put me about 10 metres off real placement. Couldn't it recommend for kids as even I was surprised where you must stand to get it.

More rain was coming, so we pulled the umbrella out of the boot and made a hasty walk to the site. Found easily but retrieving was a bit harder. Just got back to the car in time.

Is it still there? We crawled through the home of your clue and found nothing.
Cool place. Our little girl loved the 'troll's home. Mossie spray came in handy as we were eaten alive by mossies. Thanks.
Took Shrek bug and replanted at 'Motukaraka View' also in Auckland.

Have been hanging on to Shrek with intention of placing him in my new cache ............ which sadly was not approved. So placing him here in my original cache.
Sorry for the delay.
Sorry for the delay.
Third in a run of DNFs today. Used the clue but didn't help. Mozzies had a bit of a feed while we were there, so we were happy to give up on it.
Was a fun wee walk in the dark (2100) Well not quite dark, I discovered that the light for the camera on my mobile phone makes a great wee torch! Struggled for decent signal so ended up using the hint. Nice container and well hidden! No exchange made. I also frightened 2 or 3 possums on my way in and out. Cheers Gav [398]
GPS was all over the place.Looked where clue suggested, but couldn't fined anything.I grew up in Pakuranga & used to kayak up here all the way up past Cascades road. Will try again next time I visit my mum.
Oliver and Gus found it, for once without help of clue[after bashing around in the mangroves for a while.]
Nil in or out.
Kenny & Bella came too, didn't see any seabirds to chase but give it a good wuff rating anyway.

12.37pm. GPS had us 26m away from where we eventually found it. Took quite a while. Had to use the clue, checked all, then an easy find. No sign of the bees that St Owens logged, but beware the mozzies they go you straight away and don't let up at all !!!

Not happy! this would have been 5th for the day but no luck.
GPS seemed to be operating OK; distance from path looked unbelievably do-able, then made the mistake of reading the clue. Within 5 mins I was seeing monsters everywhere; but was that a troglodyte or a pixie - whah.
Anyway, It spoilt my run and I'll have to return later.
Oh and by the way watch our for the bees or wasps nest on the uphill side midway between the bridges.

Clue was very helpful thanks. Nice to see Lonely Texan TB again. We brought him over from Aussie and liberated him in the Waikato - never thought we would see him again. Those ammo boxes sure are good at keeping things dry! Might have to check out some army surplus places to see if I can pick some up. Nice walk thanks. TNLN
Great little hiding spot. Container seemed
stereotypically good location to drop off Texan TB!

Apologies for the late log.
Found around about 20/7.
May have put something in, and may have taken something out.
I DO remember that it was very wet, and very slippery though

Was only 1oom away from Mrs. Dwarfs meeting, so, rather than waiting in the warm, I nipped out into the Auckland SW gales and sleet
Attacked from first direction. Hmm - Mud + business clothes didn't agree. Quick check of map gave second possibility - Nope, someones front lawn (although access marked on map, there was no evidence of access, and I felt too self concious wandering around their driveway)....Third attempt found me caged into a playground, but I could see a guaranteed way in! So back into the car and 3 min later I was on the hunt. Cache fell quickly at second possible site and no problems with E-Trex lock.
TNLNSL
Left One Ring TB freshly arrived from the USA.

Oooee - I'd forgotten how cold wintercaching is.
Having been without decent Geocaching for over 3 months (with various things - wedding, lost GPS, work, lack of work), it's nice to get back into it.
Found the wrong "home" (see clue), and spent some time looking there. Eventually gave up, and checked the next one on the way back, just in case my GPS was off. Found it in about 1 minute.
Out: PowerPlay CD
In: Sunglasses.

Nice family caching. We're currently heavily into dinosaurs, so the track went through a scary dinosaur forest.
An easy find; I can see why the Americans rave about ammo boxes for caches.
Out: Blue spongy ball & rubbers

GPS stuffed up so we drove around for a while to find a car park.
Nice walk down the track and I had a great time finding it.
As I opened the lid Geo Jaguar bounded away happy to be travelling again. Caught him and I am taking him to Hamilton.

Left: Batteries

Called in to drop off Geo-Jaguar. When Rastus the dog saw the big cat coming in he had to get out for a pee.

Decided to have a go at this one between my partners split shift at work. Not very far from home and the weather wasn't to bad.
Took the across field path, and wasn't long until we found the correct bridge. GPS had a little trouble under the trees but not to difficult.
Nice spot for a cache, would never have known the path even existed.
OUT: Music CD and Silica Gel
IN: Gray Cat in the Bag TB, Exploring Your World (key) TB and a toy glider.

Maintenance visit. Replaced log book and glued 2 x pages from original book into new one.
Also added zip-seal bags for anyone who needs some.

Nice little walk. Had to spray ourselves with mossie repellant while searching, so thought that would be a good item for the cache. Took out the blank CD.

A nice walk on a pleasant day. Relatively easy find and no muggles. The carpark had 3 cars when I parked but more like 53 a few minutes later when I returned.
