Visited today as part of a visit to Greenwich. Cool to see all the tall ships on the river and even better as we cruised down amoung them.

Headed up and started this virtual and once everything was all was good. E-mail has been forwarded to the CO and hopefully all should be good.

Thanks Master Mariner for the tour and the history lesson.

We did the hemispheric walk twice this day and we enjoyed it really.
The answer finally was not easy to recognize, as we were late to look at the firework too at that brilliant evening.

Thank you for the cache

Found with the_dave on a sunny day in Greenwich. Part 1 took a little wandering back and forth before enlightenment suddenly struck Dave! TFTC

Found while out with goldfish62 - a most enjoyable wander, although part 3 was a little puzzling at first, until I re-read the description & paid slightly closer attention!

This exploration fit quite well to the other ones we were doing today.

Since this was my first visit to this place with a GPS-enabled device I "saw" it differently than on my last visit several years ago.

It seems to me that a lot has changed in the last few years since my last visit to Greenwich and I am already looking forward to coming here again.

Ein schöner Spaziergang rund um das Observatorium mit Ausblick auf alte und neue Gebäude! Die Runde hat mir trotz Regen gut gefallen, vielen Dank.

Started off Saturday morning's London visit with this cache. A nice walk around the area on a beautiful morning. If it hadn't been for this cache, I probably would have never thought to go look for a spot like in step 3. Took some screen captures from the GPS with W/E all zeroes.
Thanks for bringing me to that location, and then the final spot of the virtual multi. Afterwards, rewarded myself with a very locally produced beer Smile

On a beautiful Sunday I spent half a day in Greenwich. Many years ago I had visited Greenwich already and had gone to the Observatory at the time. This was long before geocaching existed, but of course I had to go back in order to see a row of zeros appearing on the gps. Thanks from the Netherlands.

First day of our 4 day visit to London.
After a smooth journey we arrived shortly before noon in our hotel. We parked the car and decided to go on foot towards the O2 Arena. The walk turned out a bit longer than planned and resulted in 30km in total!
Very enjoyable and sunny weather, great day [^].

Today our target was to find eight different cache types on a single day. This should not be a big issue in London, but we did not consider that parks get closed at sunset in London, so the Letterbox was not available any more in the end. Nevertheless, we had found seven different types today, weather was fine, we did see a lot of things on our walk and had a wonderful day.

We had a wonderful walk here in Greenwich when searching this cache. In between we did some other caches but finally we reached our target and could gather the requested information.

Thanks for the cache

Today, we tried to get as much cache types at one day as possible. First, we started at greenwich to get the Virtual, the Mystery, the traditional and the WhereIGo Cache. Additionally we wanted to get to the meridian zero (because I think every geocacher should go there if he is in London). After that, we went to Westminster searching for a multi Cache, a Webcam and an Earth cache. At the end, we wanted to go to a letterbox, but unfortunatly, the park in wich the letterbox is was closed because it was quite dark, so we just got seven cache types at one day.

Thank you for the Cache.

I was here at Greenwich some years ago already. I don't remember if this Cache was already there then. But today during my second visit i absolved this Cache. All the tasks could be solved without further problems.

Thank you for running this Cache and thank you for log permition.

I thoroughly enjoyed this virtual, even if it did take me two visits to complete - be careful with those co-ordinate conversions!!
The tide was in today, and I nearly got soaked walking near the waters edge as the waves splashed up high.
Many thanks for the tour. Have a fave Smile

Our Michi stands a few days with alefran in London.
We have seen so much beautiful places but in the short time we can't see all what we want.
The weather was very beautiful und the people are very helpful.
It was a good time as we stay in London.
A great pity that the time was going so fast.
We also made some caches.
They are sometimes very tricky hidden.
We say thanks to all the Owner for the caches.
We are coming back to another time.

Many thanks for the very fast answer from the owner.

This virtuell cache bring us to very interesting and nice places.

We were heading back home from the Kent Mega and decided to have a few hours in Greenwich.

We parked at the Observatory and went in there first completing that virtual cache. Then we headed down the park to the waterfront collecting the blue blood and sludge puzzle, before heading over to the Whisky Galore virtual. From there we started this virtual multi.

Stage one completed and we headed off towards stage 2. Rob had seen a boating pool so Pam and Rob went on the paddle boats whilst I went and found stage 2 of the cache. I then returned to meet them at the boating lake before we finished the cache.

Thanks for an enjoyable walk on a warm afternoon. Information on its way

Like others, I hit this virtual after seeing/completing most of the caches in the area which meant trekking back up the hill. Mind you this isn't a bad thing as its a beautiful area and I could use the exercise.

Answers emailed, thank you for creating and maintaining this virtual... this one gets a favorite!

Found this with fitzy_1965 and AwesomeL during our European holidays...

Looking around Greenwich today. Walked around finding the 4 Virtuals and the 10 Greenwich Gate series of caches. This was a lot of fun ! fitzt_1965 gathered the info and sent it to the CO.

Greetings from Australia !

8232 + 981 = 9213. Found with ACBC66 and AwesomeL during our European holiday…

Our last full day of the holiday and we spent most of the day at Greenwich. I have been here several times but this is the first time as a Cacher - so lots to do ! I targeted the 4 Virtuals and the Greenwich Gates Series. We caught the DLR to Island Gardens (glad it was running despite the Tube Strike) and walked through the tunnel. After the other 3 Virtuals and the Gates series we completed this one. Loved walking around this place. Info sent to CO.

Thanks Master Mariner ! A Favourite Point from Me !

On our second day in Great Britain we made a visit to Greenwich. The answer to the first part was found really fast but after looking at the coordinates for the second part we let out a sigh: going up the hill for the third time for this day. We found the desitred spot, got our answer and finally we arrived at the spot with the answer for this cache. The facts were noted for later use and shortly after that we got on to our next goal for the day.

Thanks for this virtual say

Oh the fun I had with this one.
Got the first item easily. Then plugged in the coords for Part II and wondered in awonderment, but then eventually went around there anyway. Couldn't find Part II but the description mentioned somewhere else I'd passed earlier in the morning so I re-traced my step and was rewarded with the correct solution. Walked back for the goodies and was pleasantly surprised by the whiole thing.

Another cache I wanted to collect since I first got to England... 18 months ago Razz Now with just 2 days left in the country before heading home I finally found the time to visit and wander both sides of the old and new Meridians. While the other virtual at the observatory is nice, dont ignore this one as it will take you on a great tour and explain a bit more about the Greenwich area with interesting waypoints. Doesnt take that long. The only problem I encountered was projecting the waypoint half way through as the calculator didnt know how to hand the East/West Shift in co-ords... so I used a more old school way of marking the co-ords, taking a bearing and walking the distance in a straight line. That fixed it! From there it was all downhill... literally Razz

Answers sent to the CO.

Cheers from Sydney, Australia.

I had a great time around Greenwich doing this cache, wandering around the West and East hemispheres, even standing in no-mans-land where the hemispheric is not clear Smile.

This visit to the prime meridian was very poignant for me as in May this year I was straddling the prime meridian on the other side of the world on Taveuni Island in Fiji.

Thanks for this cache and the wander it took me on, and the information it provided.

Found by Mary & David from Australia at 1525. In Greenwich for the day to see the sights again and this time add in some caching. Enjoyed the tour of the town and the park while gathering the info for this cache. All those historic exhibits and buildings are well worth a second look, particulary those at the end. Our thanks to Carharty for an interesting day.

4:55pm

We had some trouble with this one. The second set of coords took us over a half mile from where we needed to be. But luckily we knew where we could find Wolfe. It all seemed a bit confusing to us but we are no experts in maths or technology. Anyway, we enjoyed the nice walk around the area.

Thanks.

#2 of 43 on "Mad Cache Dash II: The Solo Journey."

When I found this cache earlier on the 30th I did not know that I would be going out on a marathon session later in the day. I found this cache at about 1:15pm.

Nipped over during a lunch break to walk around Greenwich. Am pretty sure I have the right location (e-mail coming). Enjoyed the stroll! Thought I might be the first to find as I hadn't checked the listing for a few days. You just can't trust those Canadians!!! TFTC!
