At this time "Hunters Twins" is under going Earth works and infact the Cache along with the site may have been destroyed ~ BAYMAN.
Nice easy find - on our way to Ripapa View and a day up on Herbert Peak, in perfect weather. No swaps.
Whew, lots of traffic coming past. We needed to use the clue, but it was OK 'cause the clue was quite cool. Sat down behind a bush and filled in the log. Cheers for the cache Bayman.
Well, the gps was a bit off, by about 105m . The clue did it for us in the end when Nandor stood back.
Called in with Swanny after doing Ripapa view. Wow - those coords are so wrong - about 100m out! I took another reading with my GPS at the spot - averaged over 300 measurments. I think the big problem here is the cliffs up above - causing heaps of multipath interference. Ah well - thanks all the same
My last NZ cache find this trip. Thanks to you all for getting me to some great places I wouldn't have visited otherwise! TN left seahorse keychain and a Habitat for Humanity coin. Hope I can look for some more out here again soon!
The GPS was playing up but found it based on "intuition". Read the hints now when it was time to log the find. Good view down the valley.
TNLN.
TNLN.
Not sure of my military ranks, so searched everywhere, before realising that maybe it wouldn't be directly viewable by passing motorists. TNLN, now off to the Bear_Left dinner in half an hour to meet all the other geocachers around.
Gave us a bit of a challenge. Lots of car-muggles made life difficult. Finally cottoned on to the hider's intentions. No swaps.
Thanks for the cache

This one also had me a bit puzzled. Finally reverted to the hint and found it reasonably quickly. Had to watch out for traffic as there was quite a bit of it on the road today. No exchange made. Cheers Gav [263]
Took a bit of time to find it.
Had to decifer clue. Then was foiled by the number of stripes.

This has been on my nearest unfound driveable cache list for some time. As the skifields were closed today due to bad weather a 100km return caching journey was needed to combat cabin fever and get this cache off my unfound list.
The latest published coords took me past but the clue soon bought me back.
Uplifted Red Dog TB.
Cheers.

Well, with our cache list for the last 30 days empty, our nearest cache list on to its second page, a TB in our possession and a sunny day, we just had to get out and find this cache!! We found it quickly after reading all the logs!
Swapped Travel Bugs.
Thanks

Uplifted Inspector Gadget Travel Bug and left Birdbrain Travel Bug.... gorgeous warm sunny day - wearing too many clothes for the day but enjoyed visiting a really good friend in the area - always nice to spend time with your favourite people.......
Great sunny day after a very pleasant lunch with my best friend. A great way to end my visit today to this gorgeous part of the country.
Took nothing (left the travel bug for another cacher to find) and added a blue bear for luck.
The coordinates do seem to be out a bit but found it anyway.

Yep co-ords are out, we didn't bother reading much about this one, just followed the GPS (we only live down the road.
Ended up spending a bit of time bashing through broom b4 finally reading the hint
Real co ords are
S 43deg 38.075min
E 172deg 43.388min
Lucy (aged 19 months) chose the whistle so we left her smiley button.

I suspect there's a map datum error or similar here, as the cache is 220m away from these coordinates. Might be worth checking that your GPSr is set to WGS84, Bayman!
However, the clues are just cryptic enough to be interesting but useful and we found the cache under its rock OK.
This is a lovely spot, and seeing the methods the locals use to get up and down to their houses on the steep coastal hill make it worthwhile getting diverted to the incorrect coords!
Took some earplugs (Papa Bear snores!) and left a whistle on a carabiner.
You don't need to stay at 1:1 for found:hidden caches, Bayman, but better this extreme than the other!
