Collected the numbers and did the maths. Nice easy walk. Cache found and log signed.
Stopped in on the way to the nearby witchcraft circles and collected the WP info. Will make calculations at home and return another day. Cheers... Gaztek
Found it!!This one Ive had the solved coordinates for a long time perhaps a few years and its close to my work so you would think Id have no issue picking it up quickly.. right?Well no, often when Im in the office and have my caching clothes with me I never get to caching because of some work drama or I just have too much work to do and it gets dark, or it starts storming. Well today was the day. I was able to sneak away just after 4pm and headed out into the bush for this cache. An oldie and a goodie. The maccas docket logbook is holding up really well. Thanks team chaos for the Cache TFTC
Out caching with Brewmaker, Martin Cousins and Everest High. After a nearby FTF we came around with Brewmaker to look for this cache. Thanks Team Chaos.
Found with 4Rods after a decent scramble through the bush. I had gathered the info a few months ago. Once at GZ, the cache was soon sighted. The old log is a mess, but the new sheet is dry. Good to get some gold! TFTC
Found It!
I visited the first couple waypoints a few months ago then today I came back to do the walk to the final location. Once I got there I found the cache after a short search. Nice spot for a cache!

Needed to break in a new pair of hikers - thought this one might do the trick.
Off to WP1, ooh, easy. Toodle down to WP2 for the next piece of info. Continue on the track under M2. Stop by at Terry Creek Waterfall (slightly disappointing) to do the maths. Onwards to the cache via some easy bush walking.
Confronted with the usual multitude of great hiding places. This is My Kind of Cache, you can swear as much as you like - noone will hear you.
SL, cleaned it up a bit, and replaced.
Hard work on the "shortcut" back to WP1 and the car... Most enjoyable!

Gathered some useful numbers and short walk down the track, then off the track. Found container in good condition but where's the logbook? Signed on a old receipt and added to the cache note baggy. Replaced then headed back. Noticed a small bag of "rubbish" stashed under nearby overhang and turns out it's the logbook. Completely mouldy. Returned book to container and rehid again but needs a new logbook. Thanks for the walk!
Nice bushwalk along track, then scramble up to GZ. Found the cache out in the open, and open with it's contents scattered. No log book. I have put all back in, put lid on, and placed back in shelter. TFTC
Third time lucky. Helps doing the math correctly. Found bag with log and pen out in the open. Log very wet... No sign of container. Re bagged log and left it in a dry location with a rock on top.. many good hiding spots along here.
Have had the coordinates for a while but no good weather. But today was great. Thanx for the walk out here.
I had visited the first two waypoints and gathered the required information a couple of days ago, but ran out of daylight before I could make it to GZ. I had another chance this afternoon, but thought I’d make the task a little easier and drive to what I’d calculated as the closest access point. Well, I forgot this time that the map is not the ground, so possibly I made this harder than it could have been, but with a little climbing and bush-bashing I got to GZ and was rewarded with a large cache in excellent condition. Of course, I found a slightly easier path out! Thanks for the cache Team Chaos.

Thanks for the puzzles.
I made a poor route choice. I think I got a dodgy GPS reading on the track, what with being in a valley with heavy tree cover. After leaving the track and climbing the hill, the location reading seemed to suddenly jump 50 metres, at which point I realised I'd left the track way too early. There's a lot of heavy undergrowth at the moment, so a 50 metre error translated into a lot of slow bush bashing. Took almost an hour after leaving the track until I found it. I was within 20 metres of it for a long time before finding it. I'll blame that on being a newbie.

Nemesis cache conquered! Today was the perfect still and sunny winter's day for hitting the northshore & hills district trails for some geocaching. I was determined to tackle this one early in the day because in times past I kept running out of time/ daylight! Such a great area in here! Mrs novo & I lived just over on Vimiera Rd for quite a few years, prolly around the time this cache got published in fact. I am ashamed to say we had no idea that these trails existed through here. I dipped our [Jasmer coin](https://coord.info/TB7AXHF) plus a few others, took nothing. Cache dry and in good condish even though the clip locks on the lid are broken. It has good cover so it's prolly not a big problem. TFTC, Team Chaos!

Today I was down in the Sydney area to find some solved puzzles and other selected gems but had a rather average hit miss day, perhaps my worst ever actually: 5 finds, 4 DNFs. The previous cache was the 5th find which was in Hunters Hill done just on dusk and for some strange reason, which now turns out it was a dumb idea, I thought maybe I'll come up here and try and find this one before I go home. I'd gone to finish it on at least two occasions since our DNF below. Time to make the find!
In the dark. With no headlamp. No phone (battery went flat and I also forgot my charger). Just the light from my battery drill which I found in the back of the vehicle.
So I parked in the street which is around 400m west of GZ, donned my jacket/ backpack/ high tech light source, and off I went waay down into the dark nether. I got down to the creek and while it was very beautiful and peaceful under the moonlight down there, I lost the trail at the bottom in both directions, also realising that, contrary to what google maps/ my Garmin topo/ AND the GC map shows, the trail is on the wrong friggen side of this creek! In the dark under this dumb light and in the cold/ leeches etc, I decided to pack it in and go home! This has officially become my nemesis cache this one! See ya next year!!

Today I found 2 caches that have been on my radar for a long time, this one because the puzzle on the cache page was gone for a while and the other because being vertically challenged I could not see, feel or reach the other.
Once the puzzle reappeared I stopped at WP1 when passing the area then another day at WP2 to collect the info. At home I did my calculations for GZ and looked on google maps for the location. It looked possible and was on a walk I knew.
So about 3 weeks ago I leashed up geodog and we headed over. The walk was good as its a fairly weed free area and there's lots of birdlife which I love.
We saw an echidna beside the track which really intregued geodog. The echidna was waving his snout around and geodog watched tilting his head in rhythm. Wish I'd been quick enough to video the 2 of them!
Once I was about 50m from GZ I realised it was a bush bash off the track from there which wasn't suitable for geodog so we walked on a bit and left the cache for another day.
Today was that day.
I wore long sleeves, log pants and gum boots just in case of spring ticks or snakes. Today the wildflowers were in bloom so there was plenty to see along the track as native birds were enjoying the nectar.
The metres decreased much quicker than I expected as I left the track and I could soon see where I was heading. The cache was a quick find as the co-ords are really good.
It a good old fashioned logbook where cachers actually wrote something for their log so I sat on the rocks and read through it. There's even a few people from the early years who are still in the game.
On the way back I stepped fairly close to a red belly black snake - lucky for the boots!

I approached this one with a bit of trepidation, having read some of the horror stories in past logs. However I collected the data and did the calculation- carefully- coming up with a result that looked reasonable considering the locations of the 2 way points. Set off down the track on a glorious sunny day, past lots of colourful wildflowers. A bit of scrub for the last 50 metres or so but nothing too difficult. Then I arrived at a likely looking location and found the cache straight away, nice and dry in it's hidey hole despite the recent rain. How easy was that! Such a nice location, I took my time signing the log before heading back. I wish I'd thought to bring my lunch with me.
Today the kids and I were in the big smoke for non-cache activities. We stopped nearby at the end of our day to kick the ball for a while on Vimiera Rd before heading back to the central coast where I noticed we were close to this Team Chaos cache. We collected the WPs, did some sums, and then headed over to GZ. But when we drove out to the general area we could see it in a likely spot but that it would involve searching for a trail head. Eventually worked it out and proceeded down the trail but it was getting dark (around 5pm). A great little trail though. Once we got to around 150m away, it appeared I would need to bush bash, which I did (the boys stayed on the trail) and once at GZ I came across a very likely spot for a cache... but it was really getting too dark so I could only give it 10 mins before it was time to concede and get the heck out while I still had some light . No backpack or TOTTs today, just a pen from the glovebox and an old dodgy app on my i4S which allows me to punch in WGS84. That'll teach me.
Once I got home I realised that I had made probably the same error that Crash made! I had mis-read one of the final formulas and *added* where I should have subtracted!! Arrrgh!! Explains that. The "new" GZ looks just as good. Wow I was sure there was going to be a cache where I was looking! Very tricky, knowingly or unknowingly there by the CO. We'll be back with the GPS...

Found this old one today and got unloved days as well. The cache is still in good condition. Thanks team chias for maintaining and placement of this cache Cheers
Hi Team Chaos. Just doing a recce for a Sydney cache trip next week and looking at this one, it appears the "cryptogram" is gone. Something is gone anyway. Could it be reinstated somehow? Cheers!

Weather: Lovely autumn morning
Cache condition: Good
I decided to explore this section of bush for my morning jog, so parked at the end of Kissing Point Road and headed across the creek along the cycle track. I obtained the details from the waypoints before completing the calculations. I was careful, nervous of the comments people have made before, but the calculated co-ords seemed plausible both in themselves and based on previous logs, so I headed into the bush towards them. When I got close I bush-bashed my way until I got close. A previous photo showed me I was definitely in the right spot, and I soon had CIH. It was interesting to read the logs from the cache's early days, and good to see that even more recent finders had made an effort to write in the physical logbook. I replaced the container, took a moment to enjoy the serenity, then headed back to the path and then my car. TFTC

A bank holiday was the perfect excuse to go out geoCaching with the geoMrs. We had just finished a newish, "nearby" mystery cache when geoMrs says "this multi looks interesting".
A short drive from where we were took us to within 600m of WP1 as the crow flies - but probably more like a 1km walk. So off we headed along some tracks I had trodden before. Soon found the plaque and plotted our next destination. Hmmm - that's another nice walk even further away from the car but a quick look at the map and we guessed that GZ would bring us closer again.
At WP2, found the second set of numbers and did some calcs which proved our hunch to be correct. Made a quick side trip to pick up an unloved traditional before continuing to GZ. From there things went pear shaped quickly but we wouldn't discover that for quite a while. A rooky error had us searching more than 500m from the real GZ. Reading some logs, suggested some alternate ways to combine the numbers to give a location only 150m away. Both of these spots actually had some great possibilities for hiding a cache which kept us interested for far too long. We nearing the time we had wanted to be home when we had another look at the instructions. It hit me like a ton of bricks. What's worse is that I had made the exact same mistake on another cache a few months ago. Arghhhhhh!!!
A quick recalc and considering we had to backtrack along the path to get to the car anyway, we discovered that we were within 300m. Considering how much we had already invested, we felt we should continue but the dilemma was that we now had 2 methods of combining the numbers. We tried the closest result first and again there were even more great hiding spots here. But I soon conceded and bush bashed another 150m to our 4th possible GZ. Eureeka !!! We struck gold - but we were now late, tired and frustrated, so high tailed it back to the car. Spotted an echidna - which is my first while geoCaching.
Advice to future seekers: it really is simple maths - no tricks. But as always, make sure you are answering the correct question.

I've been wanting to pick this up for a long time but last time I was confused by the (in hindsight) very simple maths. This time around however I got it right and after a quick bush bash had found the cache. It was a nice quiet morning and quite a pleasant place to watch the birds. Thanks.
Found at 6:35pm with JordsAU.
Last night we celebrated New Years at my parents place in Silverdale and I was keen to keep my streak alive so I thought it was worth knocking off a cache or two. In the end I finished the day with a total of five finds - a couple of which were temporarily disabled listings but we had word that the cache's were still in place. My find streak had been going for eight days as of today so I was hoping to maintain it with a bit of interest. In the afternoon I met up with JordsAU and we went to go and grab a handful. A good start to kick off 2016.
'The Gold It's In The...' was my fifth and final find for the day, it was also the most difficult and ended up sending us on a wild goose chase. We began at WP1 and comfortably retrieved the coordinates, from here we were tossing up whether to walk to WP2 or drive, a good call in retrospect.
At WP2 we once again retrieved the info without hassle and sat in the car to do the calculations on the Cryptogram. We originally came up with the wrong coordinates, pointing us to go to someone's house in North Epping. We considered heading there and asking to search their lounge room but we thought better of it and recalculated by swapping around one aspect of the method.
This seeeeemed to work so we headed in to the trail where we were in for a 15 minute hike to reach GZ. We were met by some rugged terrain when we veered off the trail to knock off the last 30-40 metres. We searched one spot that the GPS pointed us to which appeared to have some very likely cache-hiding spots. After spending 10 minutes here, JordsAU was beginning to have doubts about our calculations to which I dismissed by saying 'Naaaa it's definitely here'. Sometimes I'm right, but most of the time I'm probably wrong, haha. There was a previous loggers' photo which confirmed that we were in the wrong area.
We headed back down to the trail whilst trying to take care amongst the many trees and loose sticks that seemed to be EVERYWHERE! Also, this rather large blowfly wouldn't stop following us, he would land on our legs and just crawl around and of course by the time we realised we are under the impression that it's just the bush brushing against us. Anyway, we got rid of him and figured out the REAL GZ which gave us a lot of pleasure once we realised we were on the money this time round.
Once we arrived to the real GZ we engaged in a bit of climbing and then made a quick find.
It's awesome to have this one ticked off the list and luckily for me it fills in a square in my 'Hidden Month' grid so thank-you Team Chaos. It also falls within about a 10km radius of home so I'm also pleased to have it off the map in that regard.
Signed the log and replaced cache back into position. Thanks for the great multi cache Team Chaos and for keeping it going for over a decade.

Found The Gold It's In The... Multi Cache with Jase90 at 6:35 PM. Seeking a find on New Year's Day for the Say Hello to 2016 digital souvenir, Jase90 and I teamed up to tackle Yangoora Waterfront first. We felt there was still enough time left in the day to attempt another one, so we drove down Epping Road to Marsfield for this one next. Having not been found since the 13th of June 2015, we wanted to give this cache some love on this particular public holiday and help us along on the various 'unloved cache' challenges around the place.
We collected the information at both Waypoint 1 and Waypoint 2 easily enough and began crunching the numbers in the Chaos Cryptogram™, which is at the point where the difficulty level shot up for us. There are multiple ways to do the calculations but the second method pointed us to a spot in the bush not too far away from where we were. So, off we headed down the walking track until we could walk it no more, and we had to head into the scrub. There was a 'desire path' of sorts in the reasonably dense growth and we followed it to the suspected co-ordinates but were unable to turn up the cache. I referred to the photos and was having trouble matching up the images of Ground Zero to where we were and then came across a definite matching picture from superslothsonya, with the caption "*jedi wave* This is not the GZ you are looking for". Drat... no gold here, so it was back to the drawing board (or calculator if you will)!! On the next attempt, using another method to deal with the tricky double digits, we came up with promising co-ordinates approximately 150 metres away from our current position. Back through the scrub and re-joining the track, we re-traced our steps along the walking trail until we had to deviate yet again. This time, the 'desire path' was a little easier to navigate and upon reaching the suspected Ground Zero, I immediately recognised some physical features of the area from the photos posted in previous logs.
EUREKA!!
Soon thereafter, we had the Cache In Hand and performed the signing duties in the nice original log from 2004. We returned the cache and its cammo to their hiding position and made our way back to the car. Thanks For The Cache Team Chaos.
Temporarily written as a note but will change to a found log once I catch up on my backlog of overdue logs.

Started off with a walk to WP1 and then a walk down the street to WP2. Didn't find a good bush path to take so it was just the road route.
Did the calculations and got an unlikely result. Redid the calculations for a more likely result and off I went.
Great trail and lovely walk although the sewer works are really ruining the bush and the trail at the moment.
Passed by GZ without finding a good trail so redid the calculations again to find a stupid error. Tried these new coordinates and realised a bush expedition was necessary.
Soon enough found GZ, a good spot to rest for a breather.
Returned via the bush trail, which I had well and truly found now.
Thanks for the cache!

Still mortally shocked that it has been around 8 months since someone was here last! After a great walk around the park, we got to see how the other half lives... Back into the park for the cache and a little way off the beaten path. Great to see the old ones still kicking. TFTC!!!
Found this one this morning whilst out on the calendar gap and DT rating cache hunt that brought me out to Macquarie University.
As CJ is away, I did this one solo. The month has ticked over to winter and so has the weather. It is much cooler out here now, but bush walking and geocaching are great ways to warm up.
I took the train from Wollstonecraft out to Macq Uni and then walked through to find the cache. Afterwards, whilst I had the time, I walked all the way back along the Great North Walk through to Lane Cove and home. A great walk and certainly worth the effort.
The cache was straight forward and once I calcualted the coords, I followed the tail for a quick bush find. As I wandered into the bush heading towards the GZ, I was a little paranoid about leeches, with all the recent rain. However, all was good. The cache log are in good nick. I did the signing duties and replaced it exactly as found.
Anyway, you've gotta love an excuse to get out into the bush and find a cache. Thanks Team Chaos for your cache. SL TNLN TFTC

I have made the same error as previous searchers. I found WP1 a few weeks ago. The coords of WP2 seemed a bit off, but there was an obvious item with the necessary numbers. Off I went... to nowhere sensible - it was very pleasant, but the coords were 50-100m off any path. So I quit and now I know the take away message is to read more carefully. I'll be back - it's a great area for walking.
I'm pretty sure I took the hardest possible route to the final cache. I did find it though, my first multi-cache. It felt good to have to solve a puzzle rather than just find a dodgy looking rock in a crevass somewhere. Thanks for the effort with this cache.
Found it after a couple of recalks as I had miss interpreted the instructions
Loved the bush walk though

Came here about a month ago, got the numbers, did the calcs, and started the walk to GZ. Unfortunately whilst the way-points were dog friendly, the cache is in an area which is not. (Perhaps you could add the attribute?)
Tonight I came bag sans dog, and had a pleasant walk, and got to look under something that I have been over many times. Narrowed in, and was greatful to find that my calcs must have been correct.

We felt like finding a cache this hot sunny afternoon and this multi was quite close to home.
After collecting the relevant info at wp1 and wp2 we enjoyed a nice little bushwalk, bush bashing last 50 meters or so. Spotted the tell-tail signs and had cache in hand soon. TFTC Team Chaos!

Drove to the start then to WP2 collected coords and drove back to WP1 and parked. Punched in GZ and off I went, path went one way so I went the other walked along M2 fence line and cut back in towards GZ being 50m from motorway. Spotted paths around GZ but nothing. Spent a further 30mins here. Oh well, DNF it has to be.
Returned to vehicle where it won't start. Great, this is turning out to be awesome. Rang NRMA, where the operator explains they are in heavy demand and expect 2hr wait.
OK, might as well recheck coords, slap across the back of the head. Added instead of subtracting. Punched in new coords, and off I went. Again bushbashed to GZ, signed and picked up a book that a previous cacher had left nearby.
Returned to vehicle where I waited.
Replacement starter motor is required, so now off to find an auto electrum.

I'd picked up the clues for this last month, but having grabbed them in the wrong order, I decided to find 'Deliverance' instead, as it was closer.
Set off on a pleasant walk to GZ - how many times have I walked under the M2 to find a cache?
Was very grateful for a Geotrail which made the last 50 metres much easier.
Arriving at GZ, the gold was, indeed discovered, as was the cache in an obvious hide.
Surprised someone left the paperback in a plastic bag - it doesn't fit in the cache container.
Took the TB, left a smiley face bouncy ball.
Signed log.
TFTC - great spot.
Have a favourite point.

Thanks for this excellent cache.
This was our second attempt - the first time we got the arithmetic wrong because we didn't notice the minus sign and added rather than subtracting! We went to another nice location in the Lane Cove Valley but alas found no cache.
The hiding spot for this cache is perfect - the bush is beautiful and its not far to walk, but far from the crowds that seem to hang out near other caches and make searching difficult.

Oh, my God!
What a fun cache! And on ANZAC day!
I met up with The Dino-Mites in the carpark on the way to the cache, noticing the youngest had a GPSr and asked him where he was off to. It was really nice walking into the cache with someone else who's been geocaching for a while.
It was a bit of a scramble to the cache - I was more than happy to bulldoze a path, being a lot bigger than the little Dino-Mites.
After a little bit of climbing, the cache was in hand and a number of trackables were swapped over
Thanks to Team Chaos for a fantastic puzzle cache for my first and thanks to The Dino-Mites for a fantastic afternoon caching

Found with ScoutWizard on a beautiful Autumn afternoon. We would probably not have found the cache without his help. We got plenty of exercise walking to and from this cache. Thanks for the cache and for the company, ScoutWizard.
I put this one off the last time I was in Sydney with time to cache, because I was a bit unsure about how long it might take, but today I was looking for somewhere around Mac Uni for a jog, so decided that at very least I'd collect the info at WPs 1 & 2.
I found the info and calculated GZ, and figured it was close enough so off I went. In hindsight I left the beaten track a bit too early, but once I got within a few metres of GZ I was pleased with how easy it was to spot the cache hide. A very satisfying find, and I'm glad I chose to aim for this one as part of my jog this afternoon. TFTC!

Amazing adventure! When we were on the concrete track, we saw a white tailed black cockatoo. Then on the thin muddy track, Dad yelled out 'run, it's a red-tailed black' but he meant a red-bellied black - snake that is. I didn't see it, but I ran for ages. After we got over that, we kept going and Dad's GPS & iPhone got us closer & closer and he suggested we look in a few spots near some rocks. I found it, but there was also a book in a plastic bag next to it which was kinda weird. I left a spoon TB that I found in Cygnet-4, and I picked up my very first pathtag! TFTC
3/02/13 5:07 PM. Cache #421. Current streak: 147 days. Hey, nice Pink Floyd reference, Team Chaos. Obscured By Clouds...great album.
Yelyac & I worked out the first 2 waypoints back in November, but left the big walk at the end & did Lucky Somerset instead. So today, I wanted to close it out. Parking at the top of Vimiera near WP1, we took the tunnel under the M2 and followed the Cycleway and then Terrys Creek Walk. After the snake dramas (see Yelyac's log) we got to 40m before needing to bushbash but it wasn't that overgrown. Glad it was easy to find, considering there's no coord checker on the web page and the hint is about the puzzle not the location. Great multi, Team Chaos, a fave from me.

Started working on this cache yesterday but knew it was obvious we had our calculation wrong. Went home, figured out our mistake and went after the final destination today. Enjoyed the walk and bush bash. Nice adventure. TFTC.
Found WP2 first after getting the nearby traditional cache, then WP1. Not exactly what I'd call a "plaques" but I guess I had the right things because, lo (and luckily!) there was a cache waiting at my calculated coordinates. Bush bashed a shortcut from WP1 to GZ which made for some fun (and probably resulted it talking a bit longer than if I just kept to the track!). Great location. Thanks!
Calculated the coordinates some time back and was very cautious with my calculations due to errors contained in previous logs. Calculations complete and the resultant coords seemed very likely. Finally had a chance to make a dash for the cache today as it was such a great day for being out in the bush. Started bush bashing when close enough and spied the likely hiding spot fairly quickly. The view from the top was well worth it. Signed the log and replaced cache. Thanks Team Chaos for a great cache.
Almost a year and half after my previous attempt, I decided to give this one another crack on the way home from my parents place. It was a nice overcast afternoon, perfect for a bit of bush caching. Parked near WP1 and set off towards my calculated GZ (I'd had these co-ords sitting in my gps ever since my last attempt).
Found a faint trail through the bush which I decided might save me some time by cutting a corner off the track ...oh, how wrong was I!!! After descending steadily for a while, the track soon petered out (at least in the direction I needed to be heading), and so I had to begin some hard core bush bashing through the dense, above-head-height vegetation. I got to about 40m from GZ when i saw the light and clearing of a path just to my north - hurrah! So out of the dense vegetation, onto the track and then walked a bit further till I was closer to the cache (perpendicular to the path). One 'final bit' of bush bashing put me at a fairly reasonable looking GZ (complete with rusted out car and truck bodies ...how on earth did they end up down here?!?). Looked around for a while in all the obvious locations, but nothing came up. Thankfully there was phone reception, so I quickly sent some SOS messages out to a few cachers I knew who had completed this cache previously. Much to my dismay, none of them remembered any rusted automobiles ...and soon I had the sinking realisation that - like others before me - I must have miscalculated GZ. With a heavy heart I headed back to the track to start the walk back to the car.
The sound of an incoming message heralded some divine *cacher* intervention - correct co-ordinates!! With daylight fading quickly, I rushed off and quickly reached the true GZ (I was about 150m off ...not sure what went wrong exactly!). Happily, the 'bush bash' from the track to GZ was considerably friendlier / less dense than the previous one!! Cache was found in a likely spot, and I breathed a sigh of relief to finally be able to claim this smilie! Signed the log, made some swaps (see picture) and replaced cache. Just before I replaced the cache, I actually found a lone travel bug sitting up on the rock platform!! Grabbed it to move it along (and out of the elements!). TFTC Team Chaos, what an adventure ...and thanks to my PAF pals - you know who you are ;p

In trying to solve this one I could not get a sensible result until I read a few previous logs, had the light bulb moment and realised I had “boxed” myself in. It was a great walk to GZ, though I was almost mown down by a speeding mountain bike. Despite the proximity of the motorway this is a very beautiful stretch of bushland. SL TNLN TFTC
What a complete mathematical disaster!!!!
Please give me complex maths to do not adding and subtracting:)
After finding the to pieces of info easily I completely cocked up the arithmetic up and ended up in inpenetrable scrub in North Epping and nealry lost. Funny thing was that my GZ had me right near a very likely hide which I scoured for 20 mins before reconsidering my predicament.
A desperate call to Baktrak confirmed my fears and I retreated with my tail between my legs to reconsider my miscalculation. It was only when talking to AlfyBoy that the error on my ways hit me between the eyes - I had simply not followed the instructions - DOH!!!!!! Alf provided remote guidance on the likely access points and I was off.
I used a trailsl in from Nth Epping and although I seemed to be heading away from GZ, I found myself at a familiar spot which allowed me to head off in the right direction. As everyone before me has commented it is only the last 60m that requires a moderate bush bash (nothing like the horror show I had gone through earlier!!!!!)
Spotted the likely hide from a distance and sure enough had cih quickly after.
Great to collect one of the oldies!!

I probably started this almost a year ago but was thwarted by the roadworks at the time. So needing a cache for the day. I pulled out the numbers and plotted an alternative route.
Starting west of GZ, a vague track winds its way to the final path to GZ. It doubles as a watercourse, so wouldn't be a good idea after heavy rain.
Nearing GZ, I checked a likely spot, before moving up a level and finding the cache. It's fine and dry, despite having broken clips, as the location protects it and it's paperback buddy. At nearly 8 years old, to the day, it's good to see how well these veterans age. TNLN, TFTC Team Chaos.

A wet morning to finish off this cache before we fly out of Sydney this afternoon. 9 year old battled through the drips and spiky plants to find the cache. Dropped the lighthouse tb. TFTH.
Had fun doing this with the geokids while trying to learn how to use a new GPS. We did the extra walking, along the path after WP1, then returning when we got to the closure sign. We then drove to WP2.
Calculations were straightforward, then off on another drive, then walk followed by about 50m of bushbashing, until the GPS said 2m. It has to be here, and sure enough it was!
Everything was completly dry inside, even though two of the clips are no more. SL. Thanks Team Chaos.

All found without too much fuss.
All added up ok.
GPS spot on unlike this morning and yesterdays readings
Covered 13.5km in 2.5hrs coming in from Turramurra end
Great walk in the bush. Had to take the shoes off to cross the ford on Lane Cove River due to the recent rains.

Access to cache from WP2 closed. Use cement path and track along creek from WP1 instead. M2 upgrade.
Also crypto image too small on htc wildfire geo app to see minus sign. Must be viewed via browser with zoom. Math is a plus and a minus.

For a supposedly simple multi I sure made hard work of it. Added instead of subtracted and ended up bushbashing in totally the wrong area. Sat down to work out my mistake and then had to bush bash out of there to GZ. Soon found the cache. Lost my trusty pink Kathmandu torch on the way back. (Not very manly I know but I pinched it from the wife.) So the next finder might spot it. It has two pathtags attached.
Thanks for the adventure!

Returning with the final coords after the last hiccup and a hiatus in WA. The maths was easy, made no mistakes and found myself on a lovely stroll along a bush track. After reading previous logs I was prepared for a bush bash but I found nothing of the sort. I guess it's all relative to ones experience. I walked along an established track to within 60 m of the cache, then found a track of sorts, well maybe a footpad that took me all the way to GZ. Nothing out of the ordinary, light scrub on either side but relatively clear "sailing", er walking all the way to the cache. No spiders webs and certainly not much of a bush bash.
GZ was a great spot. The banksias surrounding the area are in full bloom, and I spotted some waratahs which should bloom beautiful in the springtime.
The cache is in relatvely good condition but 2 of the clips are broken. The next cacher may be able to bring some duct tape, I had nothing on me to do a repair to the container. I love finding these caches that have stood the test of time. Another find on a 7 year old cache. Nice work!!!!! Took the 2 TBs and left the Breast Cancer Geocoin. Great cache in a great location.

Attempted this cache after the CITO event (and a DNF on 'Hernia's Hill'). Discovered that the Terry's Ck track is closed under the M2 due to the current road works, so had to enter the track from the end of Vimera Rd (rather than through Somerset Park). Got to within ~30m of the cache on the track, but the undergrowth was taller than I am, and quite dense =( I'd normally be happy enough to bush bash through such vegetation, but everything was soaking wet, and I'd already changed into my dry clothes after getting saturated in a downpour at the CITO event, so I had to admit defeat on this cache for the time being! Will be back once its a bit drier =)
Well this was bitter sweet. Chasing gnomes in the area I decided it was time to do this long standing multi. Both Wpts were easy to find, doing the maths was no problem and then...... oh no........ the iPAQ does not show the cryptogram when using cache mate. I do not have a smart phone so couldn't even look it up online in the field. So these numbers will go back into the caching bag for another day. Bummer!!!!
Wrote down the numbers at WP1 and WP2, now to put them into the CHAOS CRYPTOGRAM =)
100th cache yay!!
We saved this one for it as it has proved to be a bit of a nemesis and we really wanted to knock it off.
On the 20/2/2011 we visited the waypoints and got the info. Seeing that a bushwalk was required to retrieve the cache we figured we would come back with bikes.
A week later - we rode to the closest point and then bush-bashed a lot - the logs mentioned this was on the cards but it seemed harder than it should - like no track at all. With no cache to be found we realised that a simple mathematical error has caused a pointless trek. D'oh!
Today 13/3/11, we finally return with the right COs. We enter from Crimea and miss the track and have to recover with a fun bush bash down to the path. When we got to the closest entry point to the cache it really isnt a bush bash at all - more a hidden path.
TFTC Team Chaos - lots of fun and a favourite. Dropped off TB Jens Peter - he wants to go to Jutland but not likely with us. Dropped off TB Merkels Sightseeing too. Took Checkers and signed the log.

Found the plaques, found the numbers, did the maths and went for a pleasant walk. Came across a huge goanna (never have seen a small one) crossing the path and up the nearest tree. After locating the closest access point, went in and bush bashed a short distance. Soon the cache was in hand. Thanks. TNSLLN

Great cache! Wasn't sure if i should trek 30m into the bush but didnt see any other tracks TNLN TFTC
Note to self: if I'm going to continue geocaching during my lunch break I need to bring another shirt. I can't keep coming back from lunch covered in mud, scratches, spider's webs, sweat and in this case, charred by soot.
Got the coords from the waypoints a week or so back. Followed the path from a nearby street without drama. Being tech-free, I made an educated guess as to where I should leave the path and was soon on the rock shelf (quite close to GZ as I would eventually find out). But of course I headed off in the wrong direction (which looked more promising) and some 30 minutes later clawed my way back to where I started, when I thought "I might just look over there". And there it was.
Good sized container with a book on top of it. Took quarter dollar TB. Signed log. TFTC!

Got to WP1 AND WP2 with no issues. Final coords were carefully worked out and off I trekked into the bush from WP1. Very nice walk and a bit of bush bashing to get to the beautiful spot where GZ was. What a nice spot! TFTC! left a TB
Yea Hoo - Finally after lots of effort managed to track this down. Did it with lunch time walks from nearby Macquarie Centre over 3 days.
Certainly was a bush bash but worth the sweat.T: Nil L: Scorpia by Anthony Horowitz. Thanks for the Cache!

Hey Hey...Cracked it and found it. Simple addition, is really that, simple addition. Don't let it fool you. Got the final co ordinates and took off down the path. Last 70m was a bit of bush bashing but nothing to major. Found GZ and cache, all dry, even after the recent rains. Thanx for the walk. SL. TNLN. TFTC.
Well this has been a popular cache recently! An still in its original format and everything, never been muggled! Found WP1 and WP2 but after what intuition told me to do with the numbers I hit a snag... a quick glace at earlier logs made things clearer and from WP2 I took the logical path towards GZ. Ignore the boxes, just use the whole numbers is what I'd say, oh and watch up for the trick that catches most people (judging from the log book! hahaha) No such worries for me today but after a few hundred metres walk I saw something I didnt want too. Too cranky at red-tape to turn around and give up I closed my eyes and pretended not to notice the offending sign but made a mental note to be extra gentle on approach to GZ. To achieve this I moved early to the rock shelf and stayed there so I didnt have to cut any paths or disturb the undergrowth rather successfully. Also meant I avoid the bush bash some people do which is unnecisary with planning. Found the cache pretty much bang on where it should be, and bar 1 broken clip in very good order. I know Team Choas havent been around for a while but they did a good job here. Cheers!

Got really close, then when we were just about to go in the bush, me and Baldie Bear dropped the GPSr. Luckily managed to find the cache with a quarter of
the GPSr screen showing. Now we need a new GPSr. TFTC. [:(!]

Well, this one has given me a few problems over the last few weeks. Found the 2 waypoints without any trouble, but ran out of time to find the cache the first time round. Still I did have the fortune to come across an echidna that was just wondering along the path. Second time round, tried what I thought was a shorter route in via North Epping. Bad move - got to within about 100m, but the bush was too thick to go through. Still came up face to face with a bearded dragon on the rocks this time. Third time round, took geoson Darth Boy. Everything going smoothly until we got to the part of the path where we needed to head off into the bush. At this point, the 2 of us conspired to drop the GPSr, which broke on a rock. But using the quarter of the screen that was still working, we somehow managed to get to the cache.
This rather cut our geocaching short for the day, so will have to leave the others in the area until a new GPSr is bought. Took the German geocoin that was left the other day. TFTC.

I located both WP1 and WP2 quite easily, a couple of weeks ago, but I struggled for days with the correct method of completing the enigmatic 'Cryptogram.' I can see from the online logs that others had the same questions and worries and that some geocachers ended up searching for non-existent caches in weird places. This was a worry for me.
But re-reading the CO's advice, I now realise that he says: "Take the two numbers and just add 'em up!"
Nevertheless, it was with some misgivings that I set off today to trek to my calculated GZ. The place looked good on Google Maps and Google Earth. Two friends who had logged the geocache a long time ago couldn't remember the coordinates any longer but said -- as far as they could remember -- I was 'in the ballpark' with my intended location.
So off I went -- aiming to hit GZ from the northwest instead from the south. I can't say more without giving the game away, but in due course I arrived at a very, very likely-looking bushy spot, supplied with the required 'rocky platform' and within hearing distance of the M2 -- and there it was! I left my GPSr running for a while and the result -- once the satellites had settled down -- was that the calculated coodinates are nearly spot on.
The cache container was in good condition except that one of the four clips has broken off. The contents were dry and in good condition. The log book was one of the nicest I've seen in a long time. I left the German 'Maulef' GC. TNSL.
Many thanks to Team Chaos for a memorable adventure!

I quickly found both waypoints today, and recorded the necessary five digit numbers. Published coordinates seemed quite accurate and the 'plaques' weren't hard to spot. With limited time available, I drove the short distance between the two locations.
However, the resulting Chaos Cryptogram™ computation somewhat confused me, seeming to direct me to the M2 motorway. I wasn't sure if I'd done it right, although the task appears fairly simple.
As my lunch hour was nearly finished, I decided to go home and consult Google Earth before trying for GZ on another day.

Found the track ok but when getting close to GZ and have to do the bush bashing which I hate it [xx(] anyway we found the cache . Thanks for bringing us here...
Oh yeah,,, this one gave me a bit of turbulance!! like Blossom, I did add instead of subtract!! I ended in a bush lost my way and had to jump a fence and back to my car,,, tried again and found that I had to do my math the right way,, then voila!!! cache in hand!!
I liked the natural platform, stood there and signed the log

OK, I have the sums right this time. I've added where I needed to add and subtracted where I need to subtract. We've managed to pick a day that's even wetter than last time but that's all part of the fun I reckon The track was a running creek as we made our way along. We picked a spot to head bush and made our way to a rockline to follow where the going was pretty easy. Then not long after - cache sighted I love this sort of cache, head off into a lovely bit of bush that's nowhere-in-particular, follow the gps until it says stop and hey-presto!!!!! There's a cache hidden We sat on the rock and wrote in the log, enjoying the bush, the birds, the sound of water running everywhere and the peace. It's fabulous to see how long this cache has been here and all the logs from cachers over the years. TFTC Team Chaos, I hope it keep going another 6 years.

found WP1 and WP2, quick bit of maths and something was amiss. Checked WP1 again and soon worked out the issue.
Good cache hidden a small way from GZ but reasonably in view if you look in the right way.
Loved all the planes flying low overhead. 747's seem awefully large when they are only just up there.

Smurfyguy and I enjoyed this multi. WP1 was found easily and numbers inserted into Cryptogram. Found WP2 and inserted the information. Did the maths and had co-ords for WP3. Off we went on a nice little walk down the track. A quick bush-bash for the last 40m or so and we were at GZ. However, a search did not reveal the prize. The search area was widened and we soon had the container in hand. We estimated the cache was hidden some 12m away from where we found GZ to be. What a peaceful spot it is even with the M2 close by. All I could hear was the local birdlife and an occasional plane overhead on its approach to Sydney Airport. Took a Ronald McDonald figure and left a mini-frisbee. Also dropped off "Geo Cash" TB to see what else it could buy. Check out the termites at WP2!!!

Like Yurt, we gathered the details from WP1 (why on earth is the road closed half way along???) and then WP2. Not to look stupid, I sat down to quietly work out the final co-ords and carefully did the maths. Not quite sure the best access point, we tried my "best guess" and made our way along the track. The gps persisted in telling me we were going the wrong way for quite a while so I eventually listened and we made our way back to the car.
So we tried my "better guess" and made our way along a fairly narrow track this time. With misty rain, eveything was VERY wet and it was not long before we were both VERY wet too! Eventually the gps told me we were at the closest point on the track and had 70m to go straight through the bush. It looked very thick and totally wet and strike-a-light vetoed continuing So we went home.
As it turns out, that was lucky becasue I'd very carefully made a mistake in my maths So, like Yurt, we will return!

Great cache, good clues and Google maps won't help much with this bush basher, a pure GPS find. A nice wet day which caused few people to be about (coming from Kissing Point road the ford was flowing fast which meant either turn around or accept wet shoes, I took the wet shoes option), beautiful track. True to our word we returned on a hot Sunday arvo and knew where to go this time. A bit of a bash through some nasty spiky scrub that hasn't seen geocachers for a while but then a quick find. Yurt senior managed to slip forward onto a rock and give himself what felt like external cardiac compression! Ouch. Survived to get back and write this. Took 0, left 0. Thanks!
Found WPT1 easily and took on the challenge of walking through the bush to WPT2 - wish we'd checked the map beforehand. Nice walk but didn't need it. Then we thought we'd worked it out (well GK did) and found that GZ was a km or so away. Went all the way to the end of Kissing Pt Rd South Turramurra and into the bush to go on a wild goose chase. Realised we were in the wrong spot (although found a great hide) when I noticed the bush looked untouched in the past 5 years. Didn't have the paperwork to check but when we got home discovered that someone had simply written in the numbers without doing the maths!
Worked out on Google Earth that it wasn't far from the first two WPTs. Next week then [:(!]

Good Point...
I have my pretty little number now, but what do I do with them?

I too would love the cryptogram...
It USED to be here on the web page,
but it seems to be missing.
Now that I've come back for another try, I need the cryptogram!
Thanks,

Foud this one on second attempt. The first attempt was a 4 hour wild goose chase because a rookie added the coords instead of subtracting them.
Ended up being a straight forward and logical search along a nice track I've never walked before. Great day too.
Did this one without the other two dwarves.

Quick find tonight, got the math’s wrong the first time and obviously didn’t find the cache, spot on this time. TFTC
Nice cache & location. Went with a few youth - their first cache, and our second. They left a napkin. Took nothing. All were very satisfied. Thanks for the cache!
Nice cache... If you come from near WP2, turn right into the bush at a large red tree just before the wooden stairs. That is the easiest way of getting there.
In working out the location of the GZ, you should carry the numbers across the grid, if that makes sense. Do it like a proper maths equasion.
Nice spot for a cache.
