We found the plane table no problems, put the pointer on Mt French and walked the 60 metres to the tree and for the next 30 minutes scratched around the bace of that tree till we thought it would fall down through lack of soil around the roots and came up empty. Win some lose some.
Visited today to pickup a trackable and the cache has gone. I did see what a thought might be the cache lid in the ditch but no sight of the container or anything else. Might be time to archieve or move this one.
Was raining but had a good look and no cache. Was snagged by the local community watch patrol who did advise me there had been reports of prowlers about but I didn't see any despite being out all night in Hokitika caching - oh now I understand.
Broganbranch had read the notes wrong so we started looking around the garden beds.
After we realised we were in the wrong place, we hunted around for a while trying to find the hotel. We eventually found it down in the ditch with the contents missing, including a few trackables. I made my way into the deep dicth to check if any thing was there. I found it hard to get back out. Broganbranch needs more weetbix to pull me out:)

Sorry just catching up on some TB pick up's and drop off's after holiday in Sth Island
In - PCXRE1 which we picked up from Pancake Rocks
Out - An aeroplane TB that I have been unable to find on trackables - it has gone into Wanaka Poplars (if anyone is looking for it this might help)

Found with The Waimanian and Ton-ick on family trip down west Coast to met up with others for sking/boarding holiday in Wanaka. - tftc
We thought that this was literally at the information center so got a bit confused at one point, but the GPS pointed us in the right direction. When eventually found it was looking a little empty for such a big box!!
I had been looking forward to this cache and had a TB that would be perfect for it. However, unfortunately the cache is very wet and does not contain any of the TB's. I could barely make a smudge on the wet paper. The cache was in its hiding spot but exposed. Since the TB's are missing, I was hesitant to drop off more. I recovered the cache, but it needs a new log book. Cheers for the cache.
Found the cache OK, book is very wet requires to be dried out. Left GC took TB will move this on to Nelson
Great site. found it after reading the instructions CAREFULLY!!! Very wet contents. TNLN. TFTC
1. The cache is not at the posted coordinates. It should be classified as a puzzel cache and not a traditional cache.
2. The log book is gone. Someone has added a scrap pf paper to sign.
3. The cache is very wet. The type of container used is not waterproof.
4. All trackable items in the cache inventory are missing.
If the cache owner is still an active geocacher, they should open each bug's web page and select "mark item missing" in the Action field (top right). The bug remains active and can be logged if found somewhere else. But, it will no longer apprear in this cache's inventory.

While in the bushes someone was walking their dogs. The dog came to the edge and sniffed around but did not see me only 2 meters away.
Quick find.

Staying in Hokitika for a few days so me and my nephew walked up the hill to checkout some TBs, but there were none there I droppped off Best of British 2007 Geocoin anyway so the next cacher can be happier than me Beautiful day and nice views. TFTC
Walked to this one from our motel, the gps said 3/4 mile as we are not metric in the uk.
It was a lot more than that as we had to go round the blocks, but a lovely walk none the less
on a very hot day. Found it fine but no TB,s so did not leave mine in case. MTFTC SL TNLN

1. Cache incl. log book is very wet. Everything needs drying indeed. Container may not be waterprooved anymore.
2. All trackables in this cache are missing for ages.

# Gum-Ako Baby Bug
# JF's USA Geocoin
# Kansas Sunshine Geocoin
@owner: Please remove them from the inventory.
Go to the TB/coin and select "mark item missing" there.
Thanks EST

Very nice cache with the pointer thing!! I'll give this cache 4 stars @ GC-Vote!!
Thanks for the Cache, EST
Btw. the cache would be better declared a multi-cache because it doesn't meet the requirements for a traditional cache (where the cache has to be exact at the coordinates)

An easy one on a walk before breakfast. A good view of Mt Cook in the distance. TFTC. Hatas
Caching with Sidewaze. A quick Christmas day find after a bit of a hunt around and non find at dusk the night before.
It was a bit difficult trying to find this at dusk last night. A much better proposition with sunlight today. A great spot. Great views. TFTC
First looked in the wrong direction, but very quickly got my fault. After that it was an easy find.
Container is wet, but log still usable.
In: TB
Out: Nothing (there was no TB or GC in the container)

Very disappointed there were no bugs or coins to move on. Cache needed drying out and cleaning but all ok now. TFTC.
Straightforward find but a big disappointment as no TB's. Had intended to leave some but decided against it.
Greetings from Ireland however to all genuine cachers.

An interesting find had NO trackables in it at all so we left 1 for the next person as it was a bit of a let down....
Not reading the cache page and just turning up at a waypoint had us hunting in the wrong place to start with. As the rain set it again, we returned to the car, read the cache page & it all made sense. An easy find from there.
Boy there are some people who need to log their trackables they've taken cos there was only 1 coin in there and yet another 5 are listed. Either that or they have been muggled.
Good to find this one though. TFTC
+ P is for parrot TB
- Durvillegirls Coin

Awesome we found it - took some newbies with me - perfect, took a travel bug & geo coin and left my geo coin
On our way to Arthur Pass we stopped here on our way. We had to long for a while, cause my gps didn´t nearly show the right place [xx(] But after thinking, we had the right idea[^]
Thanks for the view, although it starts raining, just we found the cache! We see a nice Coin with north and south, but didn´t know where the other was, so we let it here.
Greetings from Germany!

dropping in coin. Needs to get to the northern hemisphere for summer. Hope someone can give it a lift to a cache near an international airport.
Given the log back in February about no TB's in the cache, could someone please let me know if my Bat TB is still in the cache.
Couldn't leave Hokitika without doing a cache (in fact we ended up doing 2). Pity all the mountains were cloud clad.IN: Victorian Bush Fire TB and out Bright lizard TB. Our travel tip.. Oparara Basin north of Karamea..tho' we don’t have the coordinates..magic placeand with a virtual cache.
Found by McAdies on our holiday around the South Island.
Had to read the instructions because we couldn't see anything at the co-ords. Great idea for a cache. Found easily and no muggles to annoy us!

arrived at cords and wandered about aimlessly until I read the cache notes and then found cache very easily -alas only 2 tbs in residence-where have all the TBs gone - to the black hole in the sky?- TNSL tftc - on tour from the UK
Took yellow Mr Brave, left paint brush, small child had fun finding this with aunty in tow. Didn't seem to be many travel bugs in there tho'. TFTC.
Found without much hassle - little bit damp so aired out cache for small time while I was there.
Caches like this remind me to get a notebook to write TB numbers down on - but then I get home and always forget!!
Took two TB's but didn't find I should leave some until later. Left a TB in nearby Jonathon's cache so hope that is alright.

Checking in to Hotel to P/U some TB's and also show family Geocaching and how it works. P/U 2 TB's to move along.
Last one for the day. Great views and a lovely evening. Dropped off Humphrey TB as he needs to move right along, he has been sitting in a cache for ages. TFTC
Enjoyed playing with the plane table. You should add a label "cache" to it, next to Mt French... Cache was right where the instructions said, but I didn't have any TBs needing a dropoff, so TNLN.
The only trackable present was TB196PJ Dad's Tigger.
Thanks Moneydork

There was an easier way in than the one I took - as usual. Left 2 TBs and took the 2 in the cache. TFTC
Took a while to find because I thought it was a peice of rubbish thanks to the plastic bag over it.
Lots of travel bugs waiting at the terminal.

Found the TB Hotel quite quickly. It needs maintenance because it's wet inside and it doesn't look like a TB Hotel. We took te only two Geocoins and put in two TB's. The following items are not in it any more.
TB FLOWER BUG
JF's USA Geocoin
J & K's Kansas Sunshine Geocoin
Carolin & Matthias

Nice and easy to find, we have taken Yas the thirsty donkey with us as his was a little wet and in need of drying out, only had a coin to put back in so hope that this is ok. TFTC
Hello to the next finder,
please take my TB Yas, the thirsty donkey to another cache. Or send me a message if he is not there. Thanky you. Buxti

A fun way to find this cache. Grabbed a TB to move along but sorry didn't have any other to drop in. Also spotted our old friend YAS the Thirsty Donkey. TFTC.

Our 2nd stop in Hokitika. Dropped Vacation TB and took Coin and Kiwi Bug. On thr road from Christchurch to Haast today...Great holiday so far. TFTC!!
Pays to read all the instructions. Scratched our heads a bit when we saw all the small plants at the coordinates. Cache was easily found when we headed in the right direction. - 2 TBs and left geocoin. Was going to return with more TB's but was unable to log them out of a previous cache at Wifi cache so sorry cache is rather depleted.
This had to be a very quick find as we could see the plane coming as we piled out of the car for this one. Cache in hand while plane was out over the Tasman. Just managed to see plane touchdown in time. Both Little Miss Woodrows and Woodrow.72 were glad to see mrswoodrow.72 again after a week. TFTC
