16-Aug-13
Passing through albury today and Nail Can Hill looked like a good spot to grab some caches. And in an hour, we managed to get most of them up there. This was the fourth of the grabs. Not sure I'd class this as a regular size though. Still appreciate the cache. Would love to ride these trails. Nice spot. TFTC.

Log was damp. Could do with a dry out.

Today the weather was perfect, no rain so the views where perfect! Pushed the stroller with both kids in it up the hill so the serenity was quashed by the sounds of Mr Lost Wanderer huffing and puffing with the kids laughing loudly. Mrs Lost Wanderer enjoyed the hike as well. Left the kids at the main path 50M from the GZ and proceeded in on foot. Mrs Lost Wanderer yelled that she would slowly start the walk back, the cache was quickly in hand (the pen does not work BTW and the pencil was blunt Sad) signed the log with the hastily sharpened (well kinda) pencil. Had to run to catch up with the family as the 2.5 year old had started to run off down the track laughing. Thanks for the cache Free Tibet.

An earlyish start was made with the Jim/Josie Family to make this find.. what a nice spot for a walk.. we bumped into Rebel Acts a few times also.. This was one of about 30 today (including 14 FTF's), and 100 for the long weekend.. After this we stopped at a cafe for brunch, however that plan was interupted with a FTF chase.. Thanks for the hide, the exercise and the views.. TNLN Find #2312

Found @1530 #1355
While attending the OzMega with ahomburg & Kwokka this was one of many caches found. 11th find so far today of 101 found over the entire long weekend.

Was in the area and after a bit of bush bashing was at GZ to see a cache in a poor condition, like other logs this one needs attention.

Find # 1569

Today was day two of a massive adventure weekend caching in the Albury Wadonga region as well as incorporating the OZ Mega event. I would be spending most of my time with Team Kwokka (Brother and Sister in Law) as well as my caching mate and partner in crime, SedgwickDave.

Today we were to attempt to get the caches in and around Wodonga with most of them being in the surrounding bushland. This was our second cache in this piece of bushland, some great views of the surrounding area nearby. Its a pity this cache is so neglected, not even a lid. I places a second snap lock bag on the log book so hopefully it survives.

Thanks to Free Tibet for the cache. TNLN

Our 5640th overall find.

Found with FarmerFrentzen, The Rats and steeba on our Albury invasion trip. This was a very hot day today to wander around here. We found a very sad neglected cache. Can you give this one some loving?

Thanks Free Tibet for the cache.

24-Feb-12
On a caching run around Albury/Wodonga with Big Matt, steeba and FarmerFrentzen this was one of a few we found over our 4 day spree.

Continuing up the hill from the Frog hollow the heat was unbareable but we pressed on. Finding the cache we were surprised to see that have the cache had been, maybe eatin away. This one needs some TLC.
Thanks

2nd of 5 for the day. Great views. Took the geotreddlies to do these throughout Nail Can hill reserve. Was going to start with Rusty Resting Place & do a loop including Frog Hollow & Nail the Trail. However, once on sight & halfway to the latter, we decided that both our fitness wasn't up to it & that there was an easier way in. turned around & focussed on the other 4.

30-Jan-12
Cache still in need of maintenance.

Fourth and final cache of the day. Quick find but container lid is broken. Wish I had read the logs before walking up the hill as we only had 200ml systema spares with us in the cache bag. Log had dried out enough to be signed. TFTC

09-Aug-11
It looks like a muggle bushewalker might have stood on the cache unwittingly. With all the recent rain, the contents, especially the log, are destroyed. Could not SL. TFTC.

3rd of 4 today with my 4yo twins James and Jemma. The geowife dropped us off at the top end (south end) of the ranges and we walked into this one after a bit of a climb. Bit of a walk from Nail Can to this one, but a great day for it. Found no problem, but container lid cracked. No water inside surprisingly. SL. TFTC.

12-Feb-11
Found at 2.45pm on an afternoon of high humidity after a day of rain yesterday. By the time we found this we were thinking that we (two, unfit, overweight and over 55yr olds) should NOT look for steep, uphill (or downhill) caches in high humidity. We are glad to say that we were successful, tho' hot and sweaty. The cache container is in a very bad way - both the lid and the container are broken. We did not have a replacement with us today. Having just mentioned about the rain, it goes without saying that the contents of the cache were damp - except for the log book which was snug in its zip lock bag. Took: Aldi trolley token Left: $100 to repair cache container. TFTC and the chance to explore some of Nail Can Hill.

11-Feb-11
This is in desperate need of a new container - especially given that the long range forecast promises us more rain for the next few months!

31-Aug-10
The cache container needs replacing. The plastic is decaying, and it has a couple of large holes in it. I've enclosed the logs in an additional zip lock bag, but that's only a temporary fix.

31-Aug-10
Another nice cache on Nail Can hill. Alas, it's time to replace the cache container. It's sun affected, and has multiple holes. The log books have gotten damp.

16-Aug-10
Did this one after Kurrajong Quarry, why not its only 758 meters further along. Bloody beut view from GZ and GPS was spot on. The container has seen better days tho looks like the mountain bikers have used it as a jump but was suprisingly dry. TNLN TFTC

Our third cache on the Nail Can Hill. Was pleased it wasn't too far from Nail Can, It was a quick easy find. Funny to see a pile of rocks not far from this one all piled around a little dried flower......dunno what that was about? We signed the log taking nothing and leaving nothing.....looked forward to our walk back down the hill. TFTC!

Visiting Albury/Wodonga for the National Square Dance Convention.

Climbed Nail Can Hill to find both caches.
Nice climb.

25-Apr-10

After finding the Nail Can cache it was a bonus to find the neighbour close by. Some downhill trekking was appreciated after the tough climb through the bush.

All of the crew were having a good time and it is great to have some regular successes when you have the young ones tagging along..

Left a small token.
