I am regretfully archiving this cache since unfortunately there has been no action to restore it, or any communication from the cache owner, Varuna, requesting additional time.
An ample opportunity has been provided for the Cache Owner to respond, but since this opportunity has been ignored, I can only conclude that the cache has been abandoned.
Caches archived under these circumstances are unable to be Unarchived, and this location is now available for the placement of a new cache, by somebody else.

###Cache Owner Action Needed###
This cache has been brought to my attention as likely to be missing.
After a string of successful Finds, it has now had a string of DNFs. I agree that this certainly suggests that something has happened at the cache location which requires investigation by the CO, Varuna.
The cache will be disabled and I'll check back in 30 days to see if either
- the CO has checked or rectified the apparent problem
- the CO has communicated in a Note log here, when action will be taken
**If the CO has not taken either of these actions, then we can only assume that the cache has been abandoned and, regrettably, it will be archived.**
The Geocaching Community needs to have a degree of certainty that a cache is out there to be found, and the CO has a responsibility to maintain their caches.
Thank you

Looked for about 10mins. Plenty of litter. No sign of the cache. Previous hints suggest the GPS might be off?
Searched with Phillario for about 10mins then we gave up. Searched high low in out. No luck. Off for lunch now!
On & off the bus today touring the island and stopping to find a cache or two. No luck with this one and with time restrictions we had to give the hunt away. Hope we can come back one day.
Kapelula, Meme28 , geo kids and I C nothing headed for a day out at Rottnest. With the sun out shinning and the bikes collected we got the tracks to find some caches.
Took a while to find it, but so obvious when we saw it! Found whilst out on a caching day with I C Nothing, Meme28 and Geokids. TFTC!
Well this one took the longest to find today. I don't know how many times our group walked past the cache. So obvious once found, thank you Varuna! Out with Kapelula ICNothing and the geo kids for some swimming and cache hunting.
Thanks Varuna for placing and maintaining this cache. Out and about with Itskate getting a few smily faces.
It was in a bit of a mess so I cleaned it up and put it back the way I thought it was before
Thank you! Having been told to take time off work, I took the opportunity to spend a day at Rottnest. The goal was to cycle to the west end, as I don't know if I have ever been to that side.
Happy to make the find here.

A long overdue trip over to Rotto today with the bike Very very quiet here today; in some more distant parts of the island I had the whole place to myself! Was fantastic to get out & about in this beautiful place, and perfect spring weather for it too Focussed my time in the south and west of the island and picked up a decent amount of caches on the way too.
Goes to show how quiet it is here: 25 and sunny and only 2 people on the beach. No-one else around. As I downloaded all the Rotto caches the other day but failed to actually read the descriptions, I had a proper *DOH!* moment when I realised I was totally under equipped for the nearby multi. Laughing to myself I headed up the trail to this GZ instead. Found a way in and was pleased to make a fast find once at GZ. Great view back out over the bay No problems here - TFTC

A couple of attempts to access from the right direction but very easy once I found my path. Views here are stunning. Have left a travel bug. TFTC
We followed the track down to this one but had trouble getting to it. The coords were fine and the GPS pointed the right way, I just struggled to get there. I pushed on and eventually signed the cache. Great view from here! We took a bit of a track out without having to duck through the bushes again.
Thanks Varuna
Thanks Varuna
We had a nice day at Rottnest island and saw lots during the day We hired some bikes and explored the island and saw many quokkas along the way
The caches were well maintained and easy to find Highly recommend.
Thank you

Caching with oldmorty during our stay on Rottnest.
Today we took the Island Explorer Hop-On Hop-Off bus service and made our way around the island, hopping off at various locations to find geocachers placed by several CO’s.
TFTC Varuna.

POCW frazeydaze on Rottnest Island during a few days break on the island with family and friends. Today we used the islands hop on hop off bus to grab some random caches around the island whilst taking in the sites. TFTC
Here we found this box but the terrain should be a little bit higher. You had to go through the bushes and the toilet place from the tourists.
TFTC and greetings from Austria

A trip to Rottnest has been on the cards for a while so we thought that we would give it a go today. Beautiful weather but thousands of flies, we economised on lunch as I head already eaten 4 by then! Lovey views though. TFTC
The inside of the container is wet. I wish I saw that maintenance was needed before I went as I could have fixed it. Found with 3 Little Blonds while on a school trip.
Middle blonde enjoyed an excursion here, and was lucky enough to have a teacher in the 'know'! Osprey nest was amazing, TFTC!
Hi there Varuna.
We found your cache **"Where the eagle dare"** today. (This makes our find count 22915).
We cached around Rottnest Island today & found your cache **"Where the eagle dare"**.
(This brings our total find count to 22915). We had an interesting trek around the area & found 8 caches today & DNF'd 0. We didn't find this cache "among some bushes" but in a tree about 5m further awat from the road.
We thoroughly enjoyed the walk and the scenery but unfortunately we were a little too ambitious and didn't manage to get all of the caches on our todo list. We will just have to return another day to pick up the ones we missed. Thanks for placing this cache here, without geocaching as our guide we would never have found so many interesting places on our nomadic wander around Australia.
**Coordinate Accuracy:** We found your cache around 5m from where the GPS said we should be looking.
**Cache Condition:** The cache was soaked, we spent some time drying it out, but it still needs some "Owner TLC".
**Took:** Nothing
**Left:** Smiley Badge.
Thanks for the hunt today,
Regards
Ian & Penny

Perth Day 2: Today’s main agenda was to make the trip to Rottnest Island, back to Freo and whatever other caches I can get in between. The weather was perfect for cycling around today with the quokkas, and with that, we picked up many a cache, and enjoyed ourselves immensely.
This is the specific log for this cache:
We took the Parker Point Loop, and this was the next one. The view to Little Salmon Bay was lovely, but I had to head into the bush to look for this cache. Initially entered the fray from the wrong side, but after getting to the right angle, the cache was spotted. All good here, TFTC!

Today we used the good weather for a trip to Rottnest Island. Found the Cache quick but was wet. Tftc
Scratched around for quite a while but only came up with the reward of Blue Dot here. Thanks anyway Varuna; we can't imagine that it's not her; just our incompetence.
Great cache. Hard and mysterious spot. Would be better if it wasn’t in a spider infested bush.
Found on a weekend trip to Rottnest Island. This one was open and exposed on the ground. Collected the contents and re-hid nearby. The location unfortunately seems to be a popular toilet spot... ewwww Thanks for the cache.
Took a bit of time to get to it it, but found it quite quickly once we got to the area
Tom & I are over in Perth staying with relatives for a few days so we’re doing a bit of caching too.
Today we were in Rottnest island 38c so I cached via the hop on hop off bus, too hot to get me on a bike.
Beautiful day, a nice quick find then some snorkelling. TFTC

Who would of thought that a chance meeting at a first to find last week would lead to a massive Rottnest onslaught.
Rottnest has been in my to do list for quite some time now but I never quite got around to it. Speaking to Barnzy12 we both realised we had a day off the following week and plans were made, with Lachlan1.77 joining in on the fun.
Leaving home at 5am we met up and made sure we were aboard the first ferry out of freo - The Quokka1.
Lachlan the experienced cyclist in the group brought his bike across whilst Barnzy and I opted to leave ours at home and hired the electric bikes as I knew my dodgy knees would not stand up to the hilly terrain that is Rottnest.
We trekked across the island in an anti clockwise direction. I had forgotten how beautiful this island really is, making for plenty of photo opportunities Despite being school holidays most of the beaches were deserted and we had very little trouble with muggles and only one slithery thing encountered at 'The blowholes.'
One thing I did notice was how much friendlier the quokkas were away from the settlements in the quieter areas of the island with one group being particularly friendly and the babies quite adventurous and curious of our belongings.
The highlights were definitely the locations but there was still a good variety of hides available and the earth cache numbers were fantastic and much needed. We had come prepared supplying maintence to all caches that required it replacing logs, cracked lids and replacing the one cache that was confirmed missing.
It was a hard slog at times especially trying to do it all in one day but we managed the 40 caches with time to spare which allowed for time to reflect and enjoy a well earned cold one before we caught the ? wave riding roller coaster.
The sea eagle nests are certainly an amazing sight, wouldn't want a newborn to fall. Loving Rotto TFTC Varuna

Out for a day on Rotto with some other crazy people, with the intention being to nab all the caches on the island. We were worried that time was going to be an enemy today, but we blitzed through them all and even had time for a quick beer (always important) before the boat back to Freo. I ended up with 36 finds for the day, having already previously found 4 caches on the Island. We even found a cache that had been archived for almost 4 years! We have conducted maintenance for all caches in need, including; replacing logs, lids and caches altogether. All in all, a successful day out at Rotto! [^]
Made a quick find in the shade! Cheers Varuna!

Managed a quick find here. 2004, that’s a long time!
A big caching day out to Rottnest Island that has been on the pipeline for too long but never quite eventuated, but with a timeslot open today, plans were set. joined up with locals WebblyWA and Lachlan1.77 for an action packed day.
We all met in Fremantle at 6am, to depart on the 7am ferry to Rotto. We had done some pre work for this trip grabbing some information on a multi in Bold Park in times long gone by. Got into the Island, and walked over to the bike hire place, to rent an electric bike for WebblyWA and myself, as we are inexperienced cyclists.
We cached the various bays of the Island, starting on the Northern side of the island, working our way to the Extremities of the west end and back to the settlement via the Southern side of the island.
I don’t remember much from my last rotto visit back in 2002, some 16-17 years ago, but the island does look different. The island had some amazing sights, I was shocked that beautiful beaches were deserted, because there was something even more picturesque around the corner.
We enjoyed the great variety of containers on our travels and the amazing locations that the various COs including the Rottnest Island Authority have decided to share with us. The number of Earthcaches really helped complete a fulfilling caching experience.
We completed our days caching around 4pm and retired to a local establishment for a well earned “coldie” before the rough ferry journey home.
A good days effort with all 39 caches on the island found, and another found in fremantle on the way home that we did all the leg work for on the island
Thanks to WebblyWA and Lachlan1.77 for a great days caching.

After a brisk snorkel on the trail I ducked down the path for a rummage and made the find after going a bit further in. TFTC.
Very nice hike down the trail to the interesting tree cave. No eagles but a very nice cache. Thanks for the fun!
