As there's been no cache to find for months, I'm archiving it to keep it from continually showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements. If you wish to repair/replace the cache sometime in the future, just contact us (by email), and assuming it meets the guidelines, we'll be happy to unarchive it.
After about 20mins looking for the cach , i found a old lid of a texas holdem game , could this have beeen the cach ??

After spending 30-45 mins searching all around the co-ords I found what may have been the remains of an old cache. There was a pen nearby and some computer memory sticks, I was right on the co-ords and that is all I could find.
For that area maybe next time you should use a tuppaware lockable container with cammo paint, that way the sea air won't destroy it. Also if the new one was in a plastic bag I think the winds could get rather fierce around there and would have surely blown it away.
On the plus side it was a nice walk and I got to see some whales.

After months of planning a suitable container was selected. Contents were carefully positioned in the container which was then wrapped in a high-tech carbon-compound sheath to protect it from the elements. Because of the extreme atmospheric conditions in the area awriting implement was not included to avoid possible explosive ink combustion.
Translation: On an unplanned visit to Kurnell I grabbed the only available container and stuffed it with the surviving cache contents. I then stuck it inside a plastic bag. Unfortunately I didn't have a spare pen with me.
The cache is now tucked safely in its proper hiding spot. Let's see how long this one survices the effects of oxidisation.

Found this cache easily! We took a nice bottle opener keyring, and left a helicopter pin. However, the cache is completely deteriorated, and is now home to a shrimp. The log page is unreadable due to rust stains and dampness. Perhaps a less metallic container would have been more hardy? Nice little spot though, not many muggles would find it easily!
Wow what a cache container...
Ah container is too much, actually there is only one sheet of rust on top and one keeps it dry from below..
Anyway any new container in that spot as it is "hidden" will be gone with in a week as teh rock fisher will see it on their way back up (as I did).

Found this one without much problem in a sunny day while spotting whales. I approached this cache from the north side, walking along the cliffs. And yes, the container is indeed almost gone!
Back at the parking lot a whale greeted us with a series of spectacular breachs. What a lucky day this was!

If I had only read the cache page.... at least the notebook is in a plastic bag as the container has had it's day.
I nice day for a work from 'Northies' to Kurnell visitor centre (with only the occasional light rain). We managed to see 3 whales cavorting and heading north on their migration...spectacular sight.
TFTC
(I will check online next time and add a new container when next I pass)

OK - I've got the message. Been out of the loop for a while so cache maintenance has been a low priority. I'll try and get out to the cache next week but in the meantime if anyone has a spare container you'll have my blessing if you wish to carry out some maintenance.

Wish we'd have seen the latest log as we would have brought a container with us. We too came from the south and found a very hard route there trying to follow the path marked on the map. It was much easier on the way back keeping to the cliff tops and following the white tape that someone has kindly put out.
Lovely spot, but the container is in a very poor state.
Thanks,

We came in from the south on a hot Australia Day - could see the chopper with the big Aussie flag in tow circling around the city. Great day for it. Grabbed coin.
This is in dire need of a new container - we didn't have one big enough with us today to do the job - would need to be at least a 15 x 15 x 5 to do the job properly.
great Views,
This cache has personality, I like it.
Dropped off geocoin in this one.

Well here we are at Captain Cooks Landing Place Park.. Found this one with ease after jumping down the ledge after being told I didn't have to.. I didn't actually have to. Wow, how old is this cache, the container is completly rusted and falling apart.. Still works but a new one maybe in need soon.
The sun is slowly falling down, will we run out of light?

I had to wait for a group of walkers to leave, each of whom "needed" to have their photo taken right at GZ. Once they had moved on the cache was soon found. The container had seen better days and the salt air has taken full toll on it.
Decided to visit this end of the park which we have not been to before. Lots of whale watchers around, there had been some sightings earlier today but we weren't able to spot any. After finding the cache we continued on to the lighthouse, it's a nice walk except for a few muddy spots.
thanks.
thanks.
A nice run along the cliff edge in the pouring rain. the surf ant the site was masive and the spray nearly reached me when I had the cache. The lid was a bit smashed up.

Found at 4:40pm. Loved the walk out to this cache. We have been out here whale watching many times, but have never walked along these tracks. The rock formations are just something else!
Cache is safe and well, though the tin is getting rather rusty, and the lid is starting to fall apart & may need a bit of maintenence very shortly.
Took nothing & left a clip on pen. No coins or bugs moved here today.

Wow, was it windy! I parked in the totally wrong spot and had a 1.6km walk according to Gizmo. Of course when the cache was far closer than that I stumbled accross a much more appropriate car park
As the wind increased I found the cache and left for the walk back to the car.
TFTC, I had never been to Kurnell before.
Cheers.

Little buggers have increased the parking price to $7, you have to watch them.
Apart from that, it is a great park, and a very enjoyable walk to GZ. A nice hide and a good view from GZ.
Thanks, Robmc.

Great cache, great location and great views. Due to the corrosive effects of the environment the container may need attention soon.

Excellent hiding spot!! We had been in the park diving so we decided to try our hand at finding this cache. We took the travel bug and will help him on his journey.. Thanks for helping us to explore another part of this great spot.. WE also picked up a few soft drink bottles that others had left behind.. Gotta do the geocache thing where ever possible..
Found at about 12pm with muggle friends and muggle kids in tow. Kids thought this was a real adventure. Fantastic views on a grey overcast humid day. Perfect for hunting as no others around. Tin is very rusted but the contents are bone dry. Took Eeyore, Octopus and keychain and left Aussie flag tattoos. Took Puff Daddy TB and Leroys Aussie Coin No 4. Left Chuckles TB. Cache is in a top spot well out of the elements. TFTC.

Parked in the southern carpark and found the cache just on dusk. Saw a great sunset and two whales swimming by but had to hurry back to the carpark before we got locked in!
Took nothing, left T Rex Travel Bug to enjoy the view.

What a great location with fantastic views. Very pleasant walk in. The cache was found fairly quickly although we were initially thrown off track by someones rubbish that looked remarkably like a cache. Left a new log book and pen in a snap lock resealable bag. The park entrance fee is now $7.00. Thanks GEK.
Retrieved Little Australia Three, Little Australia Four and Little Australia Ten Geocoins.

My last find in Australia, at least on this trip, so I unloaded my remaining geocoins. The cache is in pretty good shape, but the log book is missing and a couple of items were outside the container on a ledge below.
Nice easy find and is always a great walk along the cliffs. Mousie was freaking out due to her fear of heights, especially when I 'disappeared' during the hunt.

So you're not supposed to ride your bike here, but we did, OK? Lots of other people do and we didn't see any rangers so that must make it alright.
I let my muggle friend find her first ever. She didn't know what GC was and was incredulous that there are these containers all over the place. We enjoyed the view as we logged the visit on this magnificient day with fabulous scenery. Took Map. Left Pliers. Thanks again GEK.

Our second of nine finds for the day including a clean sweep of the Kurnell penisula. Several fishermen were right at GZ when we arrived, but Abuseme was able to spot the cache and retrieve it with due discretion. Took the SES whistle and left a mouse trap. Thanks Gunmen. Top spot for a cache!
Found this cache, co-ords spot on. Took circle of willis C/D. left an assortment of things. Thanks Gunmen. Regards Philma, geoson Rhys & geo-granddaughter Bronte.
The unrequited lure of chocolate!

We continued our walk from the Southern Carpark collecting caches along the way. This was the last before turning around and needed stealth to avoid whale watchers.
This is a great spot for spotting whales as they make their way up the coast. Once we where done with the caching stuff we where jumping up and down yelling there she blows. Take your binoculars and look for the waterspout, which gives the location of the pod. Then just keep an eye on that area and you should see them when they surface, we even soar one breach COOL. We where talking to another couple who have been coming out everyday and they said you see more whales when there are white caps around. As when the water is glassy the whales don’t seem to surface as much. According to the whale experts at the whale lookout all the whales where Humpbacks.
The track from the west runs along the back of the refinery and years ago you could drive out here. It’s also the spot where they filmed the panel van scene in the movie Puberty Blues.
Took CD.
Left DVD and mini krab thingy.

A nice easy find (right where the coordinates said it would be) but had to be careful not to be spotted by muggles.
I saw a minke and a humpback whale while looking for this cache today. Amazing! I have often looked for whales but have never seem them before.
As I sat there looking through the cache contents I noticed muggles approaching, so I quickly re-hid it before they got too close.
A great cache!

what a great place to go for a bike ride on a nice day, the view was spectacular, as the waves crashed against the shore.
Snuck into this spot today and then quickly out to the cache before the authorities caught up with us. Nice hiding hole. Did the usual swaps and took the TB..... Thanks Drunken Gunmen
What an interesting piece of history! You learn something everyday when you're caching. I actually thought twice about whether I'd found it or not when I saw the cache container. But only for a second...
All the trio decided to give this one a go. It was well worth it. Great views and well hidden. TNLN Thanks GEK.
Great spot for cache!
Looks like the trio got home before me
Kurnell is getting quite busy for caches these days.
