As this cache has been out of action for too long, I'm archiving it to keep it from continually showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements. If you wish to repair/replace the cache sometime in the future, just contact us (by email), and assuming it meets the guidelines, we'll be happy to unarchive it.

Hi
It appears that this cache has been inactive for quite some time. Is it going to be replaced or should it be archived to make room for possible future caches? If the cache owner does not contact me within Three Weeks, I'll assume the cache needs to be archived.
While I feel that Geocaching.com should hold the location for you and block other cachers from entering the area around this cache for a reasonable amount of time, we can't do so forever. Please either repair/replace this cache, or archive it so that someone else can place a cache in the area, and geocachers can once again enjoy visiting this location. Also, if you haven’t done so already, please pick up any remaining cache bits as soon as possible.
I want to thank you for the time that you have taken to contribute to geocaching in the past and am looking forward to seeing your cache up and running in the future.
Thanks for your understanding,
Regards,

On the way to Tongoriro we did look for some caches. This was one of them but we did not find it.

Targeted this one attempting to fill my Month Placed matrix. Nothing there. I think the cut-paste log from the Germans in March is a mistake as there is a very obvious location according to the hint object, with 3 previous DNFs as well. This needs checking.
Fevalas and I couldn't find the Cache.
I am wondering if ollibasti8 really found this cache - nobody else could - since month...
Dear Owner please check if the box is available!!!

Our journey todey goes from Tongariro to Te Awamutu. But we have enough time to found some caches near the road. So we found this one.
Thanks for showing this places and hidding the caches. Greetings from Germany!!!

Five of us searched the obvious spot as per clue, but didn't find it. Hasn't been found for a few weeks, might pay to check it's still there.
Found while on drive heading west. Great views at gz. I was lucky I was alone when I attempted the cache, as it would have been pretty obvious to any muggle nearby. TFTC TNLN SL
Still heading north and stopped here to grab this cache as we used to stop here often with the kids when living in Taumarunui. Great view from here today - TNLNSL and left as found. Thanks for this placement too mardonasaurus.
After attending the event in Turangi we headed over to National Park then returned on the northern road back to Turangi.
Enjoying the scenery and different cache locations - thanks.

I was glad no one I knew could see me here as I made my way to GZ. Going to the cache was quite o.k. but from the angles of the foot holds and the top of the fence it was a difficult proceedure getting back. But I made it and our signatures are in the log. Phew! Ha ha! Old ladies!! Thanks mardonasaurus for this cache!! Cheers!
Logged with GCDroid. Another of the caches I didn't stop for last night but found on return journey back tracking on my way to Turangi for Mega.
Heading up the line for a week of r&r and taking a couple of days to get to my destination, caching on the way. Quick stop here, ran in to the lady exercising her kid goat again! Easy find with a beautiful view. Cache a bit damp inside. TFTC
TFTC, first cache of the day. Watched the Northern Explorer go past just before finding the cache. Managed to grab it in between cars turning up.
(4668) Quick stop on the way south from Auckland to Whatapaka. Nice place.
Thanks for the cache.
Thanks for the cache.
Found it after staying in the Piriaka campground, we got a bit wet because it was raining.
Such a beautiful view here, in our road trip...took longer than first thought, with miss 7 being a little unsure , but with the help of a big cuzzie, cache was in hand...tftc
Last time we were in New Zealand and spend our holiday on the Northern Island – that was fantastic!
We landed in Wellington and from this great town we went through the island – we were near Mt. Taranaki, in the Tongariro Nationalpark, on Lake Taupo, in two Thermal Areas, in Rotorua, on Coromandel Peninsula, on the Bay of Islands, on the Ninety Mile Beach, in the Sand Dunes, on Cape Reinga and in Auckland.
All the time we visited there the main attractions – but we wanted to do our hobby (geocaching), too.
So we looked for the boxes next to the highways and on all the wonderful places of this very nice Island.
Here we could found the box very well, we say thanks to the owner and thanks for the cache.

Stopped here on my way down to the Central Plateau, from Auckland, and took a look for this cache, which was a nice easy find after jumping the fence. TFTC!

Driving around with work. Have never stopped here despite driving past frequently. Really beautiful. TFTC
Heading south on the third leg of my holiday journey so decided to grab as many "drive by" caches as possible. Great views. Had a chat with a very knowledgeable worker who was emptying the bins then moved on to grab the cache. Realised I left my pen in the car but left a pathtag so hope that counts as proof of having been there. Picked up a Czech Wooden geocoin, TFTC mardonasaurus
The cachers we had met earlier had this cache in hand when we arrived so was a nice easy find. TFTC
I spent an enjoyable four weeks in New Zealand. I saw a lot of beautiful natural sites. On the way back from south to north, I found this cache. Thanks for the cache, greetings from Prague.
1738 Breakfast stop on way south. Great views with fog below. Collected TB and dropped two.
Time to leave Ohakune in the direction of Auckland. Quick P&G with a great view. TFTC
on the way to wellington we stoped sometimes for a geocache. thanks for showing the places and the cache, greetings from germany.
Kiri jumped the fence while BB kept a fish cleaning muggle occupied with questions about trout! Nice lookout, TFTC
Beim View kurz angehalten und Cache gleich gefunden.

Was travelling to Mt Ruapehu for a walk and decided to go through this way, this was a nice quick find after jumping the fence, heading towards the cache was no problem, getting back was more of a scramble.

We were travelling from Hamilton to Waikanae for a family wedding and decided to take this route for a change as we drive Ham - Wgtn fairly regularly. We really enjoyed the journey.
Thanks for encouraging us to stop here for a great view.
The cache was soon retrieved - without going over the fence. Another good sized cache.
We have decided to do a leisurely caching trip down to Wanganui some time, so we are just picking up a few easy main road caches on this trip.

It was a little hard to get. I took a small lion out and left a green anodized titanium bone screw (unused !)

Took a new geocacher here just before dark. Easy find & pleased to see that the area has had a significant cleanup since last visit here
We had to fight with many branches, but we managed to get to it! Great view from there too! Thanks for hiding!

Find #2373. Found on my return journey to Wellington. Raining but stopped to see the view. Nice spot, shame about the weather. SL TFTC
Stopped there to grab the cache and found out the car was smoking. Bursted AC pump. Good place for this cache obviously... TFTC
Stopped at cache while on a road trip down south. Amazing view and great photo op!!! TFTC!
Found today on our way to the National Park for the weekend - kids first time at the snow!!! TFTC and the views were amazing, thanks for making us stop here today.
This was tricky. No trouble locating it but then a car stopped in the lookout right next to the cache spot meaning I had to out-sit them in order to put it back. My trip home to wellington was considerably delayed but I did enjoy looking at the river below. A great spot to stop. Tftc
Looked for cache to show another prospective cacher. Grab track able pc6p2k (woody woodpecker) and will leave in the next traditional I find.
We had a little detour just to see the views took photos and swapped a TB then headed back down to continue to the lake TFTC
Contents dry despite the very heavy recent rain. Accurate co-ords. Certainly a good view from here. tftc
On our tour through New Zealand we visited many inspiring places, enjoyed delicious meals, met friendly locals and tourist AND found some Caches.
So this Cache was one on our trip. Thanks a lot for hiding and maintaining.
