Found what we think are the remnants of the cache - burnt lead pencil, springs and charred coins. Think they have had a burn off in the area recently. Have attached a photo.
Found what looks like the remnants of the cache. Burnt pencil and a few unidetifiable swag items. Area has been burnt back.
Lovely bush land. Quite easy to find. Medium sized plastic tub with grey lid.
Out caching with N Delfos. Was looking for a puzzle cache in the area, but no luck yet so went to get this one. Fairly easy find

Nice find coming back from another cache ,with help of steve2398 found with SykesKids
Convinced geobuddy Mark that it wasn't going to be too wet for caching today - bit of wishful thinking on both our parts. We headed up this way, hoping to make a bit more of a dent on this area of my map. Despite the frequent rain squalls, we still managed to find 26 caches, with two of them being multis, and only two dnf's. So was a great day all round. Couldn't decide on which was the best place to park for this one, but enjoyed the walk around the bike track then up to gz. Great wildflowers here. Thanks Team Gunn Parker
We headed here after spending a bit of time in the rose garden. We parked on the road, made our way in and began the search but couldn't find anything - hoping the spoiler photos would help but all we saw was bush haha. Eventually after widening the search we came up with the goods (which now has a white lid). Woo hoo! TFTC )
GPSr was a bit unsettled here but had a find in minute or so.
Left TB too!

Not such a quick find as the GPS would not settle. Log book is a bit all over the place but found a spot to sign it! The bush looked lovely after a recent shower of rain! TFTC Team Gunn Parker!
Today was our large day. That is we set out this afternoon to find 5 large caches.
Continuing this was large listing number 3. We parked near the pipeline and followed some half tracks towards GZ only to see way too many grass trees for hiding under. We let the GPSr settle and then a tell time sign was spotted nearby to make the find. We completed the signing duties and re hid. TFTC

Found it after breakfast with the family at the lovely Rose Cottage. Kids are excited
FELIX and I had been planning a trip to Kalamunda Hills for about 2 years, but the seasons just passed by and
we have never quite made it.
Over this time the list of unfound Caches grew astronomically and we are now left with needing to spend a week there just to make a dent.....
Anyway today was the first day of our assault on the hills...and we started with a decent enough 3 hour walking loop around the northern part of the Banyowla Regional Park picking up a number of caches as we went.
Good to see these older caches still in great condition.
Easy find.

Wow I have been looking forward to today for 3 weeks. A big days caching with The Machman and SpatialRiQ
The Machman and Mrs Felix left home at about 6am in the dark to be joined later by RIQ. We walked a circuit from Bickley Bush Bashing II taking nearly 3 hours and making us late for our meet up but had a very enjoyable walk even if there were lots of hills
Another quick find by MM. Log book is nearly full but I left my replacement logs in the car sorry. Still has some room for now.

Parked the car outside the locked entrance gates to Victoria Dam. A quick 180 mt walk to gz where the container was located. We had brought a replacement container with us and transferred what we could and discarded the damp mouldy stuff. Cache is now a 2 lt plastic container.
TFTC, The lid, as mentioned, is buggered so it won't last a downpour.
A very nice area to walk in!
A very nice area to walk in!
[:(!] Went for an afternoon of caching, parked the geoGrand Vitara as close as possible to GZ and walked in the rest of the way, on arrival at GZ the cache was in hand in a matter of minutes.
This cache requires maintenance, the lid is literally falling apart.

Chesty1984 and Benny and I found this one and as I'm about to head home to Europe I thought the Bugs would be good to send around the world. TFTC
A nice walk and an easy find for the kids. I saw the bright lid as we approached GZ but allowed the geokids to make the find. The lid is starting to crack but the contents are clean and dry. We took a spiderman lanyard and a plastic dinosaur and left some Hello Kitty erasers and a plastic whale and dolphin. Dropped off GPS travel bug. TFTC!
A good wander around to find this. Great Bush walk for family. Cache lid is falling apart some dust etc getting in.
Had a rare Friday off, and on such a nice day who could resist a bit of hunting...took a friend out. This was the third of 4 for the day. Really nice wooded area. GPS was bouncing around a bit, (walked in a 'U' shape when we could of made a direct beeline from the truck) it settled down and had the cache in hand within mins. Nicely stocked cache. Took Blue Heart Travel Bug, left JRR Traveling Hibiscus - sorry for having it for so long oops!! Thanks Team Gunn Parker.
We haven't been in the bush in this part of the hills before, and it's lovely. After a short forest walk Detour Junior found this one and made a swap or two. TFTC
One of our rare finds for today! Wandered in after visiting the nearby rose farm. Lovely day for a walk and neat bit of local history. Thanks Team Gunn Parker. TNLN SL

I'd been in this area before, doing the Victoria Dam Walk from Hardinge Park. This time I parked at the Melville Rose Nursery and approached from the other side. With a beloved senior as my companion, we first went to to the dam, and took the Mason-Bird trail as the final leg of the triangle. This cache got our walk and our geocaching started. Fairly straight forward find, thanks for this one! Looks like some ripper mountain bike trails in this area that I'd love to try! Some nice wild flowers starting to emerge as well. I'm curious how you can access the dam by road - it has full facilities including walk trails, gazebos, and toilets, but it's been completely deserted every time I've been here, despite being a wonderful location. Is good old Victoria now forgotten?
Definitely needed a gps for this one - the iphone and the ipad both conked out with the app upgrade for some reason. Found it though, the benefits of caching with a larger group! PS. That track off to the left that looked like a washout was actually the path! Following the main trail around to the bottom, we had to come back up through the bush to find it.
Nice big one in the bush. Found with my friends in the bush. Tftc

Nice place for a walk and the last found for the day on my way home. Left Bunya's FSM Geocoin for someone to move on, Might need the lid replacing on this cache, There was a bit of water in the cache that I dried out, But the lid had cracks in it, Log was ok just slightly damp. TFTH
Quick and easy find with local parking. Collected a TB and will move it on to a new home soon.

Was out caching with my brother this morning, and was not far away from this cache. He had already located it previously, but I couldn't resist ticking another one my list. TFTC!
Our first ever Geocache and we were so excited!
Left a vintage brass fire sprinkler head- apparently very precious to my husband who reckons some one will appreciate it and a folding dog bowl.
Took the green rattle and a pencil.

Thanks for the cache.....Left a whistle and a bouncing ball or little maracca...Took an autism keyring....My geo partner had to take a packet of tissues as he thought he may of needed a number two whilst heading to the next one....Glad to say he didn't...."Go safe"....
Nice spot for a walk. Geowife found the cache pretty quickly once we reached GZ. Thanks for the hide.
Released the Samurai Keyring TB to begin it's journey to the Kawanakajima battlefield ... this is a bit off the tourist track I know, but the TB's in no rush and hopefully someone will soon drop it off somewhere its likely to hitch a ride overseas.

Could not wait for the cooler weather, so attempted this one. It was a lovely stroll and because of the trees and shade not too hot. TFTC
Nice hide this one ,found after a little walk in the bush, nice big cache had a few to do in the area but dogs were not allowed so will have to go back. Will try out the Melville Nursery which was very busy. Thanks for this Cache.
Breakfast at Melville Rose Café and decided to crab a couple of nearby caches.

Nice little spot. I do need to find a few more in the area, but this was a good start to the day.
A short walk through the bush from where we parked and found it with ease. Nice a quiet spot with no-one around for miles (it seemed). SL. TFTH.
What a battle I had retriving this one in the dark. Such a big cache with a red lid but Barbie the GPS was in a bad mood and there's lots of hiding places. I was really disapointed that the Cache Critter GC was missing. It should be marked as such to remove it from the cache.

Easy find, got soaked as I was signing the full log book. No Geocoin there, there was a log for the 26th July so I guess they took the coin and haven't yet had time to record both the log and coin. TFTF
Such a pleasant spot of bushland. Found easily with donut#2 and Ella the geodog, who unfortunately got bitten on the foot by one of the enormous soldier ants at the nest within a metre from GZ.

Geodog "Baxter" and I went on a bit of a tour de Lesmurdie today and while we didn't find too many caches, this was one we did.

Third cache of the day on a wet and wintery Sunday morning.
Hiked in the Hadringe Road via Old Victoria.
Easy find once the GPSr settled down.
Great little cache in a top spot.
Took TB and Geocoin.
Left TB
Interesting place on the way in from the Victoria Dam.
Looks like a grave site for a two day old baby girl from the 1800s.
Anyone seen it before?

Thanks to those that put it there.

After winding through the trails leading down to the stream from the Rose farm and back up the hill we found it fairly quickly, and without fear of waking any newly thawed snakes.
Took nothing, but left the Plane from Holland travel bug and Urch's Geotalk Geocoin.

A beautiful spring day to play hookey from work and go caching! A pleasant stroll to an easy find.
Took Smurf and Counterclockwise TB
Left BookCrossing Book- This is like TB for books and not necessarily associated with caching. Logged like TB on bookcrossing.com This is a Mills& Boon from 1968-so very terrible it is worth the read for a good laugh. It had us in stitches-enjoy!

Housesitting in Kalamunda, so time for a couple of caches whilst up here.
Nice easy find along a nice looking trail..Have walked most of the trail a few years before geocaching, so will have to return another day to grab the other caches further down.
