As there's been no cache to find for months, I'm archiving it to keep it from continually showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements. If you wish to repair/replace the cache sometime in the future, just contact us, and assuming it meets the guidelines, we'll be happy to unarchive it.

Unfortunately the area has been reduced to a toasty warm smokey black ash ... the southern end of the park hasn't been touched so we may move this one close by ....

TLC, There was a big fire in this park on Fri 7th April 2006. It could be worth a trip out to check the condition of the cache.

Great walk, had to leave +1 and dog at the car (no dogs allowed). Sorry had to do a bit of bush bashing and spider web bashing to get to the cache.

Thanks from Two+Four

Another nice walk with this one being easier on the harder ground. Cache was exposed as it looked like an animal had pulled the covering of the cache. Cache is in good condition but no finders card to add to the collection.

2nd one for the day. It was a beautiful walk. When we left the path it was spider city. Bel ended up letting me break the path through. Then we missed the end of the path on the way back. It is a very pleasant piece of bushland well worth the visit.

We took nothing an dleft Life Keys Travel Bug. We will log thsi as part of coinquest.

Found the cache at 2.45pm. Oh boy I love walk in the bushland also smell nice flowers and trees from shower. Took - nothing as I can't see any left finder’s card for me to collect. Left - calling card and sign log. Again Thanks to Team Landcruiser for the cache.

First for the day and the first legitimate cache hunt with a borrowed Garmin GPS 12. Was worried the accuracy would leave me looking in too many spots (distance is in miles..so 0.1m = 16m...and arrow spins at reading of 0.00mi). Luckily I read the hint or a log previously...and the population of grass trees was close to nil (these being common hiding spots)....so found cache without too much trouble.

In fact all caches attemtped today (five from memory) were all found..so maybe my fears were unwarranted.

Nice little walk if you wear long pants! Legs copped a beating and I lost most of my right calf due to the gnawing mosquitoes. Besides that it was a lovely walk amongst the wildflowers.

Thanks for the hunt.

Lovely walk in, the wildflowers had me sneezing after about 10 minutes. Heaps of birds. Took-tissues and sunglasses Left - kitchen thermometer SL.

Great walk! Kids saw kangaroo's and we got to photograph some early wildflowers.
Fairly easy find, co-ordinates were spot on.
Took: China cup and Travel Bug
Left: Sunglasses

I hadn't planned on doing this cache so hadn't read the information about it when I saw it appear as I was driving further south so stopped at the nearest road which happened to be the northern end of the trail not the southern end as suggested. Found it quite easily when I arrived at GZ without knowing what it was I was looking for as the GPS put me right next to it.

Left TB Aussie Spirit #1 and took nothing else.

A quick find to let kids stretch legs. The Menzies Banksias were in full flower - very nice. Mrs Rhombus stayed in car while we donated blood to the mozzies!!
Cheers

Well Well..... I saw my fist Geosnake today......so be careful. This on top of me slicing my finger open on the hunt for New Caledonia it was a mixed day. A few finds, a snake and a sliced finger. Anyway the little blighter was fair way from the cache and I wasn't paying a great deal of attention to where I was walking. from that point onwards it was eyes to the ground!!!!!

Found cache easily just by using GPSr, spare of the moment find on the way home when searching for nearest caches.

Thanks TLC

Good little walk to find this one, we had three 'Junior Cruisers' with us so we were a little cautious about where we were treading.. we saw a very large spider in a very large web, which may have been a Huntsman we were told.
Found the cache OK, took Lizard, MacToy and a Padlock left Two Balls, a Game and a CD.
Thanks for setting this one,
The Coastway Cruisers.

Found today after a short walk. saw lots of Kangaroo tracks and scrapes where they crawl under fences. Also saw a paddock full of emus who were very curious, coming up to the fence to have a look at us. ( Maybe they wanted to learn about Geocaching!)
The cache is in good condition and well stocked. We swapped a soft toy lizard for a "Bird Camera" and signed the log.
I think it was a smidge easier than "Oakley Doakely" Smile)))
Thanks Mike and Therese for the hunt.

Cheers, Team Beachbums

Found by Team GeoCoopers.
After having lunch with the Grand parents in Mandurah, this cache proved a good opportunity for a walk to settle lunch. Some interesting wild flowers along the track, nothing like the ones that we have in Adelaide.
Thanks TLC

The trees made it interesting to find and we got to learn a few new curious nuances about our Magellan Platinum. We walked right past the cache and slowly wandered back to the correct area as it averaged. We think thay must have a slower update rate compared to the Garmins, maybe its the inbuilt maps slowing it down. When we found the cache it was showing "0" so its accurate at least. The bushland is easy to walk through but we could have made a "web" jacket out of all the spiders webs we had walked into on the way there. We took the "Arrow" TB and added the Dinosaur. The mosquitoes were hungry for blood so we logged the cache and had to leave without a chance to sit and enjoy the peaceful location.

Another one we found sometime ago, but are only just logging.

This one took a bit of a search but it wasn't long before the geochickens uncovered it's hiding spot. Don't recall what was taken or left, but the walk through the bush was nice.

Looks like some louts recently had a party. The parking area is littered, probably because somebody rammed the waste bin and everything fell out. Didn't have enough plastic bags to contain it all. Across the street, the trail is still ok. The cache is fine. Nice walk through the trees. When we got back we saw 3 Scarlet Robins and a Golden Whistler. Great location.

Found today at 4pm. Never knew this reserve existed. Nyoongah Trail itself was kind of weird, it was just a dead end.. except for us cachers. Wink
TNLN, as I was needing to get to Mandurah before much later (not that stops one from getting caches on the way!). Thanks for the exercise (I ran it.)).

I cannot believe how many parks they are putting around the Peel region and was surprised to find this one tucked away amoungst the farms.

After finding an appropriate starting place I set out - I had changed into jeans after the morning experience BUT had taken off the boots and was wearing a pair of teva sandals. Great for walking but not across prickly bush, I will remember not to do that again!!

Finally I found it - the tree cover had my GPS leading me all over the place and there are sooooo many likely looking places to hide a cache if you are just guessing!!! Not saying that I guess the last few metres or anything. Obviously and as usual I hadnt read the complete details of the cache and was surprise to find Eyes Right ensconced. Excuse the spelling. Anyway, have taken him for a ride around.

A great cache well stocked with goodies - I took a calling card to add to my ever growing collection and left one of ours.

Thanks Team Landcruiser I really enjoyed this one.

6.15pm: Went for bush walking along the tracks and to the end of the track then off to cross bush at the dusk. We were expecting that some one will find it before us. Spotted at the right place and surprised to be first finders. T: Batteries (in case we may need it, should our torches’ batteries go flat before we get back to our vehicle) and a First Finders Cert. (thanks for that); L: wooden mask from other cache and Travel Bug: Eye Right. We will come back in the daylight for further bushwalking to enjoy. Thanks for the great location.
