Found the cache... unable to leave a log entry due to the log book was completely WET, as was every thing in the Cache. There was a heavy smell of urine and small traces of mouse droppings in the box. Did not take anything or leave anything. Thought you should know. Was a little disappionted as this was my third cache for the night. hope that it can be set back up soon as it is a great place to visit. Thanks, Snakecatcher.

I found this cache quite a while ago and was also puzzled by the name. I realised it was in the Fountain of Friendship park but where were the fountains? Recently as I was driving along the main road I saw some rather large plaques on a bluestone "wall". This wall is the remants of the "Fountain of Friendship" hotel that was once a busy watering hole for travellers through the area. If you do the cache stop and read the plaques for a history lesson. Cheers VP4

Having nothing to do, so thought i would go through some local caches logs, found this one needing a replacement log book. As its approx a 5 minute walk from our place, grabbed a little spirax pad, put the dogs on the lead for a quick drop off.

Hi Thanks for the note explaining the name. We only just read it though when I came in to write this note.

We drove past the park this morning from a different direction and it dawned on us what the connection with the name was.

13-Nov-07
the parks name is fountains of friendship.
friends are forever
therefore fountains are forever

Ok, so the ones that remember us from when we started all those years ago know we sometimes have a twisted way of thinking and had a strange obsession with caching at night. Much more challenging and loads of fun to.

enjoy

Found by Roma and Max.
When GZ is close to a waterway, Murphy’s Law determines which side we usually choose to start our search from! This proved to be the case 3 times today, with one instance even involving a 2m high security fence.
However once this hiccup was sorted we proceeded to make an easy find.
In: Mondo Figurine.

Found in a very prickly location by Mr Emu & son, plus (punctured!) daughter. A new area of Geelong for me, so nice to have a look around. The only muggles around were in the skate park to the West, and seemed well out of view. Thanks for the cache.

Having finished shopping (looking) at 'Ray's Outdoors' while in Geelong, checked the GPS, just over two KM's to the nearest cache... so off I go.
Many wrong turns and dead-ends later, I get to with 200m, close enough to walk.
A very prickly location, made easier with the help of a stick. After several minutes of proking, I made the find.
TNLN, TFTC.
Although this does need a new log book, as I had had to sign on the back of the pad.

An easy albeit prickly find. I didn't realise how prickly until my hands made contact with the undergrowth. After that I was a little more circumspect with my searching and soon had success. TNLN thanks Uneven distribution team and hi to beccaj.

Last for the day, a quick find...almost too quick...I could clearly see the container from about 4m away! So we made sure it was not so easy to spot when we left it.
Not sure where the "fountains" comes into it? Maybe if we came at it from a different direction perhaps? We found tomtom navigator taking us on a royal tour of Norlane.

1st find of 6 for the day. Quick trip to Geelong to drop off Deano's iBook for some repairs.

20-Jul-05
This was my twenty first of twenty three cache finds for the day, in company with Dak Emu. On arrival at the car park net ball was in full swing and the place was Muggle city. The cache location was soon found and some skill had to be used to retrieve the cache with out being spotted. I removed some dog chews from the cache, with all the dogs going past here it would not belong before the cache was sniffed out. Wait several minutes to return the cache, so that we would not be seen. Thanks.

Found this prickley cashe after a short look, constantly looking over our shoulders for passer-by's. Decided to find this cashe on our way to buy a loaf of bread, nice walk.

05-Jun-05
This was our third and last for the afternoon today, or should I say sixth for the arvo because we did Mr Blobby's Multi "Pocket Puzzler", which is actually four caches but you can only log one. (Ripped off, I say) Anyway this was surprisingly hard to find even when we pretty much knew where it was, We got sprung by a muggle just as we retreived the cache, he came right up and asked if we were looking for rabbits. Just didn't see him coming at all. Well we tried the evasive answers but eventually told him what we were doing, but I don't think he really understood as his english wasn't good. He left and we rehid the cache very thoroughly, as it was before. Took a lizard with a fly on his tongue and left a lion and a small car.
Thanks very much Team Uneven etc.

This was the last cache we found on our trip from Adelaide to Melbourne on the Great Ocean Rd. Took a candle and left a Mondo Doll. Thanks for this one.

On a high after "deleting" a nearby DNF from my list, off I trekked for this one. I walked straight up to the cache at 13:35 and scratched myself silly retrieving it (ouch!!!). (I'll have to ask my cryptic gurus what the first part of the clue means once they've done the cache.)

Took a koala, left a sticky gecko. Thanks Team Uneven Distribution and a Happy New Year to you all.

What a lovely day today was.. too bad I was working, but work put me in Corio today, so i figured after work I would cache my way home. I was a bit concerned about the crowd at the skate/bike ramps, but the cache proved to be out of sight from the louts.
I didn't need the clue, but when i looked at the clue it confused me. Is that really a [wattle tree]?? I thought it was more like a [pine tree]

Out: a dog chew toy

Caching around Geelong with barcoder. This is the Emu Mob's first Team Uneven Distribution cache. It was a nice easy find, once we got close. We found it at 0935. However, finding it was one thing; retrieving it was quite another! Barcoder's arms weren't long enough, so dak had to do the honours. Smile Thanks for the cache TUD.

IN: Mondo figure

In Geelong with dak's Emu Mob. This is our first Team Uneven Distribution cache. It was a nice easy find too. We picked the right side of the water.
