Everything was wet and smelled of mildew - container is past its use by date - time to put this cache to rest - there is another one close by
Very interesting area, and a nice walk through to the Demons, but it was overcast and very coooold all morning - had to put on the spray jacket AND the gloves, even though forecast was for fine and 18. T mini paper punch, L waiters friend. T4TH

Had no information but noticed the waypoint in the GPS so went for a look. Still a small amount of damp but generally in good condition. Well hidden.
This was the first of series of caches we have found on our Kalgoorlie road trip. Found the cache in good condition, but we did replace the outer bag. Was found at 9:44 AM. Took playing cards and left a Palm charger plug adaptor. Thanks for the hunt.
Hi Rangers, as Bear Left mentioned I live fairly close and it's as good a place as any to take Billy the Geo-Mutt for his walk so I called back today and picked up the logbook, which is VERY wet. I left some sheets of paper as a temporary logbook. I'll dry out the book and hope to replace it tomorrow or Wednesday at the latest. The 'Please Read' sheet is also ruined so if I can remember where they live I'll replace that too.
I also removed a 'mammogram badge' and key tag which, although not totally ruined, were unlikely to ever find a home. I'll stick in another couple of items when I take back the book.
Greydemon
Well hidden for such an unlikely-to-be-muggled spot!
There was water 3cm deep in the box, so I spread the contents out to dry while I went demon-hunting. The late afternoon winter sun didn't have much effect, but only the leather keyring seemed ruined. I think it may have been overfull, so I also removed the sunglasses. I've replaced it upside down, with the logbook at the 'top', so at least it shouldn't retain any water, even if it still leaks.
I had a Sharpie with me, so I could sign the wet page after a fashion, but my usual cache-repair stuff hasn't gone back into my bag yet after a trip, sorry.
(Greydemon lives nearby and has offered to go dry it out if you want him to, Rangers!)

16:23 Very enjoyable walk in an area I knew all to well some time ago. Although well hidden, I found without too much ado. Tnx for the memories. TFTH TNLNSL
Last time I was here was some years ago for Orienteering and the picnic area was much larger and there were no gates across the tracks. Where once there was parking for dozens of cars, you're now lucky to park 8. Doesn't quite seem the family picnic spot it used to be.

A great little walk through the bush to GZ. It took a little bit of sniffing around to uncover the cache, but it was located - eventually. Of course once the goodies were out, who should appear but "muggles on wheels"!! They kept on going... and so did we - onto Les Demon Gris.

Found the cache at 5:50pm. Great place for walk... TNL-calling card and sign log. Thanks for the hunt.
Thought we'd pick this one up along the way to Grey Demon's. It's a lovely place which I had not known of previously. Will visit again.

Cold wet and windy. Fellow geocacher has just got a new gps and wanted to try it out. We picked this one as it was on the way to a new cache (Les Demon Gris) and as I have never been a first finder I thought a bit of bad weather would not stop us.
Left : dog pencil sharpener & calling card
Took: gliter pen.
Bush at it's best. Good time of year to be out walking.

Stopped by on the way to the new cache nearby. Found after a bit of a search as all I had was the coordinates without any notes. Find was made a bit easier by the cachers who had visited earlier in the day. The last time I stopped here was an orienteering event a couple of decades ago.

30+ teenagers at my daughters party last night, 9 slept over, Billy the Geo-mutt and I had to get out of the house today and 'Leisurely' seemed the way to go. We haven't been out here for a long time though used to visit regularly some years back when there was a well signposted walk trail and information leaflets relating to numbered points of interest. There was also a play area with see-saw etc. Things have changed so that it is now 'low maintenance' but an nice area once away from the road.
Billy and I found the cache without any problems, a thin tail flicked out of sight behind the cache as we approached but I am FAIRLY sure it was just a lizard! Everything was dry and in very good condition.
Took: notepad.
Left: embroidered jeans patch, gel pen.
Many thanks.

What a pity they dont allow weekend camping or 4WD's out here it would be a great place to go and get away from it all on the weekends and only 20 minutes from home. We drove to the parking area and walked from there and a nice easy grade walk it is. 15 minutes later we had found the cache and used our quiet time here to work out just how much out coodinates varied from "cache ranger" GPS and which direction out they are. We found 4-5 metres and North is where we must go from "0" to find the cache. We will try this out whan we have another try at Green acres cache later next week. We had just worn ourselves out trying to find that one and called it a day after we had had this one find. Took the Book (that Rhymes doesnt it) and added the Scooby toy. On the way out while looking along the fire wood road nearby we found that people still like to dump rubbish We even found a swing set. Lately we have found lots of locations like this. It must be what people do if the price of rubbish tips gets too high. We never found TLC's TV set as we would have loved to see if we could fix it for them it looked like it just needed some TLC.
I parked the car, and started walking along the track to the cache. I was trying to beat the rain, but alas as I reached the cache site the heavens opened up on me for the second time today. This one was the last one for the day, so after finding the cache it was time to head off home and dry off. Took the Budgie, and left a plastic spider.

Found it! The carpark area appears to be completed now with a toilet block and tables. This would be a nice area to explore if they let 4WD's in but alas we can't have everything
Found Sydney Bear hiding in my backpack so I got the other natives together for a group shot as they wouldn't fit inside for a stay.
Also found the alleged TV hiding behind a grasstree. I looked everywhere for a GPO but couldn't find one ('shrugs')
So I CITO'd it back to the car (think my arms are slightly longer now?)
Took - Tiki
Left - Leaf Keyring
Thanx for the hunt The Cache Rangers

I bought the wife(Ashley) the "CALM Family Walks In Perth Outdoors" book for xmas and this was one of the walks in it. Just so happened the cache was there. We found the cache easy enough. Following the path was a different story(our fault) Oh well nice walk on the bush on a Sunday morning.

CALM are still carrying out work so the beginning of the track is not that obvious. Beautiful walk in the jarrah forest with the occasional showers causing bush to give off a eucalyptus smell. This is the first time my wife has come on a cache hunt and she insisted she knew where it was even before the GPS said we were close (she was right). TNLN
We brought out some rubbish but there was a broken TV that was too much. Instead we moved it behind a small grass tree - coordinates shown. If any other geocachers are able can you take it right out or at least move it closer to the road (out of sight - and post the coordinates. Very good to know of this walk. We had an enjoyable picnic before the rain bucketed down and bought lots of fruit on the way home

2.30pm: Found it on spot after brisking walk down the track (to loose up after a difficult steeply climbing at Old Cave cache). TN. L: a gold ball from other cache. Loved the bush surroundings and peaceful place. Thanks, Cache Ranger for beautiful spot.
When I arrived at the parking area, the gate was not locked, so I drove through and parked about 60 mtrs from the cache. This is a wonderfully peaceful area - bouquets to The Cache Rangers for finding this spot. T: LCD clip watch, L: Tike, keyring and a calling card.
