Spent around 20 minutes looking for the specific numbers but couldn't locate them.

Weather was raining, cold and foggy so will return on a nicer day.

Be interested to see if someone else finds it.

We found your cache while exploring the area, a tad misty and wet, but a good day out. No views today as the clouds were very low.

A nice walk to GZ, cache and contents were in good condition.

Thanks Geoffor placing and maintaining this cache for our enjoyment.

*Cache find # 10652.*

Today I headed off to Toorongo Falls for the 10 year a cacher event but once the event was over, it was time to find a few more caches before heading for home.
This one has been on the to do list for some time now and today seemed like a good day to take a drive to it and a drive it was but an easy drive.
As I was getting closer to the top of the mountain, the fog start rolling in, at least I was hoping it was fog and not smoke the way things have been lately but I was a fresh smell not a smokey one so I continued with my mission.
With there being not much of a view at this time, I went straight to finding what was needed, shortly after this was done and now it was time to find the cache.
After a bit more of a drive, I was time to start walking again and a little while later I was at GZ where a short search was had and the cache was found with a bit of loving once again, it has been a while.

**Thanks to Geof for placing this cache.**

freezing to find it. After that the tire went flat. Dad fixed the tire. It was quite cold. We had to duck at least 20 branches. Then had to climb roughly 5 very, very,VERY steep rocks it is one very dangerous but fun geocache.

Well, it doesn't get much better than this. Caching with my 8 year old son, hitting up some unloved caches that really should get more visits than they do. Just over 2 years since this one has been found and turns out it's Geof's first one too. Sounds like an excellent adventure. So we load everything we may need into mum's Subaru (because my Falcon ute just won't cut it on these roads in the wet) and we head off to make as big a mess of the car as we can.

Well we got to the posted co-ords and found the little silver tag easily. Geojosiah read the numbers out to me whilst I worked out the next location. Done. OK, back to the car.

Once back at the car we encountered our first problem. Flat Tyre.

Oh crap.

But after a quick change to the spare we were back on the road again, however a lot slower as I didn't want to lose another tyre as we only carry one spare. We parked a few hundred meters from the final location and bush bashed our way in. Geojosiah may only be 8, but he is a solid little bush-basher, and he is way better up slippery wet rocks than I am too.

In the end with a good hint at GZ Geojosiah pointed out the likely location and so I stuck my arm in and pulled out a lovely ammo can.

Left some toys, took the TB. (Thanks Steve)

Thanks Geof for the cache, a stunning spot.

Visited a month or so back. Gave everything a good drying in the sun and swapped some stuff. Returned the unactivated coin. Added an external container for the original.

10-Oct-15
Came for a look and found it was no longer level and had taken on some water. Will have to return for a full dry out. Removed TB to continue its travels.

Was to be my third unloved cache for the day on my trip South to explore the forest. I remember looking at this one back when I first got into caching and wanting to come down and do it then after doing Geof's nearby dashing multi. Access to waypoint one was easy enough although deserted I had the place to myself to crawl all over looking for the required info. It must have been great in the past being able to climb the tower. Anyway I was really having trouble finding it so i called ° who was busy moving house and while he remembered the cache could not remember to much about the location accept that it was where I had been looking. With much noise in the background about him needing to help move a bed i let him go and decided to keep looking. Not 2 minutes after hanging up I spied what i needed. Ever since finding the add waypoint feature in the Geocaching App I have really enjoyed paperless multi caching.

So with a new set of numbers I set about heading to GZ. A short drive later and a small stroll through the most serene forest I came across another stunning location. In many ways better than the first. The cache was easily located, although i am not sure I would have been so keen to look if i had had my run in with the monster black snake first before the cache. Smile

I would away from GZ to sit on a rock and open the cache. I enjoy the old caches the history and the logs. Back when it was the custom to write a log in the logbook not just sign your name. I sat reading logs from cagers I know and many I don't that found this cache before I even started caching. The log from Maccamob back in 2003 stood out having just seen them complete 21,000 finds in QLD. I cleaned out the cache and made a trade which I suspect the next finder will take Smile hopefully trade for. (I did notice the log book is exactly the same one as used by Derringer in his Boulder Dash cache from 2001)

So after placing the cache back I set about exploring the rocks and thats when I had my run in with the biggest black snake I have ever seen. Thankfully like most black snakes he was trying to get away from me as much as I didn't want to be near him Smile Anyway it did make the walk back to the car more exciting as I had discounted finding snakes to day as it was starting to get cold.

Thanks Geof for another truly memorable cache and I am sorry I ran out of time and never got to you ones in Warburton today. I hope to get back down there soon.

Came out with kmps today too spend a day in the bush and hopefully find some unloved caches. After a beautiful drive through the bush we arrived at this fantastic spot only to find four vehicles here(3 Telstra+ the Firewatchers vehicle), this was probably fortunate for us as we would have had to walk from the locked gate about a kilometre away. It took us a while to spot the tag we were looking for. We then made our way to the new waypoint along a beautiful track to make the find at another great view. We were surprised to find that there were 4 T/B's having sat here for in excess of 18 months. We removed them and will move them on.This is a great cache and thanks for bringing us here.

When working for the Tarago water board I would visit here to keep check on the two way radio transmitter that the board used. That would be about 25 years ago. A great view on a clear day. Thanks Geof FTC.

After we successfully found the old Dash cache, we ventured out to go for another unloved cache. It turned out to be quite simple. I really wonder why it hasn't been found for ages since it is a nice walk and the views are probably awesome ... well they weren't today Very Happy

Finding a cache when there is a snow around is seriously cool (and not the cold cool!). What a great day out. We only found one other cache on this day but had a great day out with fantastic company and a lot of fun. Looking forward to the next time. TFTC

Found at 1200 hours, drove all the way to WP1, spent some time here taking in all the views.
Then headed to GZ, where the views were just as good as at WP1.
Nice easy find here, while filling in the log book a small lizard decided to sun himself on the cover for the cache.

TFTC and the great views.

I found it at last Geof, but not without a few difficulties. I had looked on the google maps and seen that some logging tracks running off Stony Crk Rd came fairly close to the the tower (about 800-900m). After initially missing the turn off, I found that the google sattelite maps are really out of date and the tracks are now overgrown with trees making them inaccessable and with 1.8km straight up the side of the mountain I gave up on that idea. So I had to go up to Toorango Track and found the gate closed (again). The walk was great as I love this type of bush. The GPSr had me about 5m from where I found the plate with the final co-ords. The views from both locations are fantastic and I guess were even better from the tower. I took a shortcut down through the beech trees to the track again as it was getting late. TNLNTFTC

Droped by for a pre winter inspection all OK. Perfect view. Gate open.

08-Jul-06
Found at 11.35am on a cold wet and cloudy day.
An excellent cache, The gate was closed so a short walk ensued. The summit was bitterly cold with strong winds.
The short walk to GZ was delightful due to the forest and rock gardens.
No views today, but we will return in summer to explore more of this lovely area.

Thanks for bringing us here

Picked up the TB as it's had a good holiday.
The cache is still in good order and all there. The gate was still open.

17-Dec-05
After reading Muzza's log I thought it was time for a visit and a rethink at WP 1. Thunder echoed about the hills and a bit of spiting rain came and went.
Droped in TB "The Big T" as all the things he likes are here.

I made a real mess of this one. When I arrived at the published co-ord.s, there were four muggles building a fence around the main tower. Not having looked at the cache page, I started looking for the cache. It aroused their interest, so I explained all about geocaching. They even downed tools for a while and helped in the search.

Eventually they finished for the day and left. After a bit more of a search, I consulted my PDA to learn that it was a multi. I then answered the questions, did the calculations, and headed to GZ. This was my second mistake. One of my answers was wrong and I ended up looking in the wrong area (but not by much).

I eventually gave up and rang Rabbitto, who explained that I had made the same mistake as them. Once I used the correct answer, the new GZ was the real one and the cahe was found soon after. Thanks for the cache, and for some great views from both of the locations visited.

Dear Mr Geof,

Rabbitto are please to announce that we have finally found your cache. We left Noojee at 12:15pm after completing another nearby cache and this time were able to more easily discover the approach road. The road is actually quite good as a grader has given the road a once over and although gravelly it is quite smooth. We were especially pleased to find that the gate was indeed open.

It is amazing how cold it is today considering it is only a few days from summer and near WP1 it was also extremely foggy. Even though it was early afternoon the dew and drizzly rain still hung from the trees and grass. After playing for a while at waypoint 1, we proceeded to the cache proper. We found the correct approach but upon arriving at GZ it was soon obvious that we were in the right general area but wrong spot over all. After wandering around the area for a while, I decided that your intent would have been a spot some metres away. Since we were surprised to have phone coverage, we rang the kind Mr Pprass who pointed out that we probably counted a certain item incorrectly, which was indeed the case. The new co-ordinates pointed us exactly in the area we had worked out before and an easy find was now soon to be had at 2:30pm.

Upon leaving the cache, rather than return the same way, we decided to continue our jaunt in anticlockwise direction back to Noojee and we enjoyed a fine lunch at The Red Parrot. Thank you for inviting us to your cache. We had a fine time. The views were fantastic although the fog tended to lessen the distance we were able to see.

Your friends,

D & S B-A.

Thought about making an attempt today on this one but arrived too late at the entrance road and we were fooled by a no through road sign anyway. We will return when the gates are open and the days are longer possibly.

21-Aug-05
Was in the area so poped in for an inspection of the cache at GZ. All OK.
Gate shut & no snow.
Tested the banoculars and took some photos.
TB Lilo Elvis visited but he wants to move on.

14-May-05
This was my first time at this and thought it would be pretty straight forward but apparently counting ladders is harder than i thought but not nearly as hard as typing numbers into a small hand held device. After about 4-5 hours i finally got it right and found the damn box. Took the maps CD and left black duct tape all is in good condition. Shame about the view.

25-Apr-05
Found by Mary & David at 1445. We had to wait a while at the posted coordinates as another couple in a 4WD followed us up the track. Turned out they had no maps and wanted directions to Noojee. This area is just superb - breathtaking views and magnificent alpine vegetation. Loved the gnarled, twisted trunks, the tuffets of grass, ancient beech trees and the rocks. Took compass/whistle, left a wedge car mirror. Our thanks to Geof.

21-Nov-04
All values in the clues now comply to the one letter for one digit rule. Sorry to any one who has been missled[:i]. The numeric values have not changed in any way.
Congratulations to Biggles Bear & Pprass on their FTFCool + thanks for the advice.

21-Nov-04
Found at 1.00pm in the company of Biggles Bear after scouring the area for an hour. We thought there was something not quite right with the instructions given to work out the co-ordinates. We tried a few combinations of the information that we had, but all to no avail. Eventually and after a lot of perserverence and interpretation of the log notes, Cat managed to find the well hidden cache. This would be a hard find in the snow. Took: Maps CD, Left: Binoculars
Thanks Geof for a tough cache.

21-Nov-04
Found in the company of PPrass, after an extensive search of the area Sad luckily it was a great day to be out and about in this area.

Took TB Captain friendly and left whistle/compass, thanks GeoÆ’.

09-Oct-04
Made to the top ,about 5.30pm, with the keeper of the keys TB, Found the elevation, lucky I had a map with me, yes I know I should had looked at the GPS, counted the flights of ladders, counted the rungs, worked out the numbers, and went for it. As light faded, clouds rolled in, and wombats come out to see who was making all that noise, I missed the track, that I should had gone up, I cut across country about 100 meters and made it to where the cache should be.Check addition hints, to bad trees all look alike in darkness, I had a torch, in the car, I looked here and there, but couldn't see it, bugger.
I now had to decide become lost in darkness or go home.
I went home.
Drove my car to the locked gate, walk the rest of the way to the top and there was no snow.

17-Sep-04
Up sized to 2 litres & added some maping CDs + some Music CDs + Compass + Sticky tape. Small patches of snow in the shade only.

Droped off Captain Friendly TB to continue his visit to Oz.

12-Sep-04
Nutcache and I checked this one out a few weekends ago, the first way we tried to approach turned out to be a no go.
By the time we reached the locked gate it was too late to attempt the walk and also make it home for a previous engagement, so we left it for another day. There was a fair bit of snow around then but after this weekends weather i'm sure there will be alot more! Looks like we'll have to wait a little longer.

03-Sep-04
Poped by with a cache sheet and "did" the cache just to make sure all was OK. Worked Good. No snow - great views cache holding out well.

Time to move the TB on as he is a bit bored!

04-Jun-04
Droped of the TB. A few very small snow patches. Drive by mode was still available.
