We have looked everywhere and this hasn’t been found for about 3 years. Please confirm if it’s still here?
Thank you.
Thank you.
Well that’s pretty shit!! .. just because it hasn’t been found for 3 years doesn’t mean its not there surely?
One finder with no finds couldn’t find it, then another with 155 finds puts a N/M on it .. very sad to see this happen on a 16 year old cache

After dropping FlyingPigSquadron off at the airport we decided to continue on our way and Cache Armadale. We had a wonderful time, the weather was perfect and the caches interesting.
Thanks WanderingAus, for your cache.

Found it the first place I looked. Nice not to have to do too much bush bashing to get there. Lovely and quiet out here today I feel like I've got the whole park to myself. Tftc
Found Settler's Serenity. Nearby the cache could see the magnificent view of Mount Richon and the Swan Coastal Plain – Fremantle. No trackables to trade TNLN SL TFTH WanderingAus.
Decided to take a chance with the weather after yesterdays atrocious state. Although overcast, grey and a bit chilly it was perhaps the perfect day to tackle the Armadale Tails series and to grab this one with JacobsCrew. Thanks WanAus
After finding 'Ye Olde Settlers Inne' cache (Pity it wasn't open....we could have done with an icy cold drink) we continued on through the bushland and after a long hot walk eventually reached this cache, which was a nice easy find. There are some well signposted tracks running throughout this area and the views from this cache location are really lovely. TFTC
Last April I logged a DNF for this cache. I was happy to see it had been replaced - thanks. I took a jog on Sunday and was happy I finally got a

Hi, I thanks for cache. Very good place. I caught this cache when I was on holiday in Australia. Greetings from Czech.
Chil and I decided that it was such a nice afternoon that we needed to go for a walk. We decided to look on the map to see what smiley faces were needed. Parking on Settlers Rd we started the walk along the wonderful bush track. Jett the dog was really enjoying the smells along the track.
We spent a good 20 mins searching for this one without luck, including using the hint. Thanks WanderingAus for bringing us out to a lovely bush walk in our backyard.

We came armed with a WanderingAus styled cache in the bag just in case we could not find the cache. The cache has not been found since 12/Oct/2011, there is signs that a fire may have been in this area in that time.
We have placed a replacement cache there until WanderingAus can check it out. We have placed the cache so the hint makes sense, it is covered with the usual natural objects.
We have added some co-ords to help narrow down the search...

After doing the nearby AP cache, we decided to walk to Settlers Serenity, we actually walked back down the track and walked down the Paradise trail. We really enjoyed this little trail, and was ruing not bringing a few spare containers with us. When the compass started turn we then followed a fence line to a track which lead us very close to GZ. Technically not a found I suppose but I will contact CO to make sure all is good. SL Thanks for bringing us here WanderingAus

My thanks to Keego_and_Chil for keeping this nine year old cache alive for me. I think the DNFs and fire evidence make this a well earned Found It, not sure what the 'Purists' would say but 'It's my cache', and I don't think it's breaking any 'Rules'.
Well done Jett (and Adrian and Suzy ).

Left it too late on a Sunday afternoon of caching and it was nearly dark by the time I got there. Had to turn around and go back. I took a wrong "short cut" in the dark and ended up walking a couple of extra km back to the car. What a great day!
Try again next time. And I think I'll get a map of the park!

I noticed the cache had not been found for quite a while, so I was not surprised by my DNF today. May I suggest a visit to the area to ensure the cache is there. Definitely a great area for a cache. Thanks for the run WanderingAus, but no Smiley for me today.
Needed to get out in the bush after 2 days of preparing for the verge side pick up. Lovely walk in to GZ and a nice easy find. TNLN TFTF WanderingAus.
I've added the parking spot recommended by ShortcutHicksy and confirmed as good by Me&B as a waypoint.
Thanks ShortcutHicksy and Me&B, that should make it easier for future hunters.

I decided to walk my belated birthday lunch with the kids off this afternoon, and do this cache, which has been on my to-do-list for 5 1/2 years.
I can only recommend the parking spot ShortcutHicksy recommended (S 32 09.455 E 116 02.663) from here its basically a stroll in the park...unless you get lost on the way back and have to bush bash for most of the way!
There are lots of wild flowers and native Orchids in bloom right now and we really enjoyed the walk.

This is a cache I had missed in my travels in the local area so today was a perfect day for a walk in the bush. You can approach the cache from many directions so decide if would like to climb up the hill or something a little easier. If you were to park at S 32 09.455 E 116 02.663 the walk is reasonably flat and only about 3km round trip but you can walk for kilometers in Settler's Common if you like.
Thanks WanderingAus.
Thanks WanderingAus.
Found this one no problem, nice piece of bushland and great views. Took shoelaces and left Car Air Freshner the pen wasnt working i only had a pencil with me so left that, there was no sharpner though, Thanks WanAus anohther great Cache.
We certainly found 30 on this one. 1.76 km bushwalk each way. We parked on Settler's Road where the gate is. Great Hide WanAus!
Hey there! This was our first real geo cache and the kids were so excited! We wandered through the bush a bit (as I said our first geo cache ) but ended up finding where it was meant to be. There is now a fence to make it out of bounds (and a bulls ant nest) as well as the exact point is in the middle of a bulldozed path. We tried to find a [fallen log] on either side of the path but alas I think it is no more - at least we didn't find it. The kids were so disapointed but we will try another one and hopefully it goes a bit better. They loved the bush walk though!
We came in from a small carpark (really the start of a closed-off track) on Carradine Rd. About 1.4km each way. Easy walking -- but one of those days when I was glad to have marked a waypoint as we left the car... Lots of tracks, usually winding off in the wrong direction!
From that direction we did follow an uncrossable fence but did not need to cross it. It looks as though another fence is planned but, again, no need to cross it.

We followed the info in the previous log and walked from the track off Settlers Road. The round trip must of been near 4km but it was relatively flat and some shade was provided by the overhanging trees. We enjoyed the walk and getting the exercise. TNLN. thanks WanderingAus
We couldn't find a short way in so we parked at the Settler's Road gate and walked in from there. We were grateful that we were on the correct side of the high new fence which follows the track and even more grateful for the little fly headnets that were tucked in the bottom of the caching bag as they were out in force today. We tackled this one about 2 weeks ago while my Colorado was out of action and waiting on a replacement part, we tried with the Nuvi thinking it would get us in the general area and then we would spot the likely cache hiding spot.
We returned today and discovered we were not even close to it last time. We approached from below and made it a lot harder than it needed to be and with two young ones in tow it was even more of an adventure than last time..
After a bit of a search we had some luck and the cache in hand.
Great walk out this way, thanks for bringing us to the area.
TNLN
There is a new fence being built, and it will only be a short matter of time and this cache may well be out of bounds. just a heads up.

Today was bike ride day. So we thought we would ride to the end of Tonkin Highway and then up to the South Western Highway and into Armadale. We wondered if there were any caches reasonably close that we hadn’t done and saw this one. Had a quick peek on the map and thought yeah, that’s close to it. No worries just ride up Bedfordale Hill Road over to Albany Highway then up to Waterwheel. No problem, not too long of a ride, yes going to be a hot day but if we leave early we will beat the heat! Someone forget to mention we were Mischief’s Crew when working this out.
Away we go, we get to Thomas Road no problems. Going along single file (busy road and no bike lane), I was leading, then Matthew and Gav coming up the rear. I spot something on the road wonder what it is – then it moved! Oh my God it’s a SNAKE! My first snake in the wild (even if the wild is a bitumen road), So then I let out a pathetic little girly squeal, hit the brakes – terrified the life out of Matthew behind me, he just spotted the snake as I started braking, so he hit the brakes trying not to slam into me. It is quite amazing how slow motion things become at a time like that. I could just see me running over it’s tail and it swinging up around and biting me. It seriously took us 5 minutes to pull ourselves together to be able to ride again. I was laughing so much – ok so it was a little hysterical at the start (the vivid imagination saw the bite!), but then just from the fact it must have looked sooooo funny. Oh for that video camera again.
So we pull ourselves together and off we go. Riding along the South Western Highway and then ‘whoops, Matthew has a flat tyre’. So out comes all the bike stuff only to find that someone had used the little spanner and not put it back. So it’s a case of repair the tube whilst the wheel is still attached to the bike – which means you cannot get the tube right out. However, with good ole Kiwi determination we got it sorted and off we go again.
It is getting really hot now and the little hills are starting to feel like mountains. So after some serious discussion and intense deliberation we piked! We decided to go back down the hill, bike home and get the car! WHIMPS! So off we went and we did have a nice uneventful ride home which wound up being a 32km round trip. A quick little rest at home, grab Amber and off we go in the car. We decided to go the long way again and see how far the hill went up Bedfordale Hill Road – yep quite a long way, we felt we could have done it, but it would have been hard work (was that just the fact that we were in the car we felt we could do it?). Well then we turned on to Albany Highway and found out how far up there we still had to go to get to Waterwheel Road and then up to Settlers Road. Thank Goodness (praise somebody – anybody) we changed our mind – we would have died! Seriously Died!
So we drove to the gate, out of the car with plenty of water bottles with us and off we trot (yeah all right quietly walk) to the cache. It was just like walking through a sauna that never ended. We got to the cache and we were sweltering, it took a quite a few stops on the way for water stops. It was nice at the shoe cleaning stations so we could actually sit down. Amber found the only piece of shade whilst we signed the log and we dropped off the TB and GC and then it was back to the car. We were still in fine form upon our return though as when we saw the gate we started joking that it was a mirage and we were delirious. Then we dreamt that one of the houses had a pool and created a little story of what we would say to the people when they found we had thrown ourselves in their pool, clothes, back packs, fur and all. A total day of fun, yah for being with younger ones, it allows you to let your imagination run even sillier than normal. May I never grow up!
Great Fun, really enjoyed it and had a lot of fun.

Last one for the day, it was too good to stay inside, so it was off into them dar hills for a few caches.
Had a little trouble finding the parking spot. But once there it wasn't too hard.
Thanks for the cache.

Again I left my run pretty late in the day, but a bonus this time - met a couple of blokes from the fire brigade just in the process of closing the gate so I cheekily begged a lift and they obligingly carted me the first 1km. Cache found easily, but contents somewhat moist although log book is ok. Black covering bag is disintergrating also.
On way back to car was amusing myself with wondering which of the many great hidey holes Mischief's Crew might have hidden their new cache, but no, I didn't fluke on it.
TNLN Thanks for the hunt Cache Rangers.

Parked in a carpark off Carradine Road and walked to the cache area, where we couldn't find the cache. Started heading back with the two geo kids and got lost along the way. We finally found the car with the help of a couple of passerbys. Will have to come back with our usual navigator.
Enjoyed the walk to this one even on a hot afternoon...
Some good views too..
Found the cache OK, TNLN.

Found the cache at 3.15pm. Gee! long way to the cache - 2.4km each way make 4.8km return. Enjoyed walk along to the cache - I have to remember the way back to the car so I wont lost in the bush!!. No swap. Thank you for organise the cache and hunt.
This waypoint was sooooooo annoying everytime I went down Albany Highway - "so near and yet so far" so went around the long way. Pity about that gate!! T:Brum and German Geocoin.
Waited for a cooler day for the walk in. Geokids and friend enjoyed walk.

Found the locked gate along Settler’s Rd and hiked in the few k’s to get this one. The day was warm but with a cooling breeze which made it bearable.. Found GZ easy enough but spent a few minutes wandering in ever-decreasing circles to finally nail down the cache’s location. Made no swaps, but did discover two TBs which we left in the cache. As this was a great cache, I’m also pretty sure I left a TFTC card in there too [^]. Cheers Cache Rangers. Nice one.
I really felt this walk as it was a very hot day and I came
in from the bottom just off Albany Hwy. The view was very good once I caught my breath again.
The cache however was in full view as it was between the bushes and not under either. There is not very much cover left as a lot of it has died but I put it back as best I could and used some leaf litter over it.
No swaps but I left a TB and "Caitlin's Frog" geocoin.
Thanks for the cache.

Attacked by scratchy bush (juvenile banksia's?)and Huge flies (March flies in October??)! Cache still in good condition. Fair old walk given they've closed off car entry. Again, today I was shown up by my 11 year son. I was about to give up and log a "not found" but he had a couple of more minutes in him and found it. Found cross (Grave/remembrance marker)on track for a Denise Faye Bell 24/5/2000 @ S32.09.629 and E 116.02.281) T little magnet and podcacher mini cd (deosn't work in my pc will try another) Left: tape measure so you can measure how long it took me to find the cache!
After a rest I went & did this one. Walked in from Settlers Rd as it looked reasonably flat on the map. It was another easy find. I had a black plastic bag in my backpack which I put the cache container in to give it a bit more protection. It was a bit large but it will do the trick.

Billy the Geo-mutt and I enjoyed our walk in from Settlers Road - a couple of kilometres. Found the cache without difficulty, I was surprised to find there were views, I hadn't expected to be so close to the edge of the scarp.
The cache had a fair bit of water in it which I cleaned out as best I could. The logbook was safe in it's bag.
I took away various bits of paper which were wet - stickers, transperth leaflet etc. Also took the drinking chocolate because the box was sodden, and the surf wallet as it was developing mildew, it will be usable when washed and dried. Left a mini-cooper.
The plactic shopping bag containing the cache had disintegrated, perhaps the next team heading for this cache could take a new one.

Went back to this one as I have not had a travel bug before and got it. Now I have to find something to do with it.and find a good cache to put it in. Didn't write in the log book as it was raining and I was soaked and didn't want to wreck the book.
This is the first cache I have tried to find. I don't have a GPS yet, so I had to work out the location by a map. I live close and rode in on my mountain bike. Took a while to find but after about 30 minutes I found it. Thanks
Parked and then walked all the way in on this one. Quite a long walk but not too taxing and along good established trails.
Caught site of my first ever snake whilst geocaching. Have got used to lots of minor rustling in the undergrowth but this was quite loud. Second time I heard it (it seemed to move parallel to me) I looked over and caught a glimpse of something disappearing into a bush. Then it broke cover and crossed the track right in front of me. 1.5 metres of slithering snake (dugite I think) was a sobering reminder to always stay alert out in the bush and when reaching for that ellusive cache.
Went on to find cache without any problems and took in the sweeping views of the coastal plain below.
On the walk back I spotted a "grave" marker/memorial. Thought this was an odd place to find one - wonder what the story is behind that.
Took: Mini gel pen
Left: 2Xpr boot laces and safety pins

Found it. Isnt it funny how we turn up in Perth and half the caches have been shut down due to the bushfires. This one, not shut down but a GATE, so we walked. Makes a change from walking in the heat but one geoterrier had to have a lift anyway.
A great stroll on a lovely Perth morning.
Thanks to the Cache Rangers.

at least you could have left us the key to the gate insted we had to walk for miles and miles. but it was a nice walk.
[We found it this time.]Hint the fallen Banksia tree is what you are looking for.[Because we had walked to this cache the day before and because it was raining heavily we decided it would be prudent to to drive to the cache this time and save our legs. We used the new coodinates and they were within 2 metres of the location but the GPS did bounce around a bit before it averaged out. Great location for a cache and its far enough into the park that there is no illegal rubbish dumped here. We never can understand why people do that it just has to cleaned up by someone else later at ratepayer expense.
We put in a Ahmedadad handmade coaster that we picked up at changi Airport last month...its made in India... and we took out the Australian keyring.]

We can only blame ourselves for not finding it. the sun was setting and we didnt have a torch so we parked in the wrong place and walked through the bush. We didnt notice the log statting the new suggested coodinates so we just kept hunting at the old ones. We didnt find it bust only noticed the other coodinates when we got home. We will be back with both figures loaded and find this one soon
Found early in the morning nice peaceful area with lots of wildlife. Found the cross so do we get a bonus point??
Nice secluded area I'm amazed that you had one disappear from this area 'b4'.
Took - Sydney Bear
Left - Pencils
Thanx for the hunt The Cache Rangers.
P.S. For those interested the cross is at 32 09 625 S / 116 02 275 E.

5.15pm: After work in the city, we went to find this cache with friends – introduced them to the new geocaching sport. They love bushwalking and add GC is a bonus to them. Saw roos in the green pasture down there when we were at the top. The beautiful orange sunset at the horizon after the cache is found. T: Subway card and a massage bar. L: Aussie key ring and Sydney Bear from the other cache at Rottnest Island. Red Roo is lucky to have a day off to do all GC while we all are at work. Thanks for great view and walking exercise we all enjoyed and look forward to visit to Cache Rangers’ other caches.
This cache is under two kms from my home, and I had the day off. What a beautiful day it was too - not a cloud in the sky, warm and perfect for geocaching.
The cache was found easily after deciphering the hint and loading the second set of coords. T: Scrunchie and the Royal Mail Van TB, L: A small bear and a calling card.
The view from here is one of the better views around. Thanks to The Cache Hunters for a great cache.

We dropped off Red Royal Mail Van after stopping at the old Jarrahdale Post Office. We also saw a flock of beautiful Elegant Parrots in the cache area. The GPS was all over the place and this time settled on S 32 09 770 E 116 01 870 at the cache.
