Sounds like this one has gone walkabout. I will disable until I can get out there again.
Have visited this spot before. Nicer now there has been some rain. Great spot for weekend. Chester the Border Collie had a great time. Thanks Four Bears, left Anzac Day hat pin.
Got it. Scratched around in the wrong spot for a while in fading light with a wife and child waiting in the car and enjoyed a steep walk in taking the scenic route.

We had a bit of trouble finding the track in but were rewarded with a lovely location near gz. Thanks for showing us this beaut spot. TNLN.Thanks The Four Bears - we left a new log sheet because the other one was too wet.
Out on a day trip with the "Queensland Jeepers" club.... Had morning lunch nearby, after traveling up to the portals to check out the views.. Great spot for Lunch, and a cache. Cache was easily found after a very short hike, and remains in good condition.
Many of the Jeepers were intriged by this "passtime" of mine!
Took a party blower, and left a party popper...

Scorpionboy has explored this area many times, from climbing on the nearby rockfaces to swimming under the waterfall when its running....its a great place for scorpions. Thanks for the cache Bears. TNLNSL.
There is a bit of action at this campsite at the moment during the school holidays however this didn't stop us from searching for the cache which we found easily. It was a surprisingly hot day for caching today.

After a little Less and a bit More of the Summits it was time to tackle the real Mt May.
Nice hide just off from the camping area.
Word of warning to overnight campers I lived in this area and when it rains there have been significant flash floods (10-12 ft one year) so take care if you pitch a tent on the lower camping spots.

Campsite was empty this time, no trouble finding cache.
Took a leaking stamp, left something that stamps can go on.

Well, unfortunately only one cache to log this weekend when we had planned to claim maybe three or four in the area. The hassles of one of us getting crook and the other getting toothache whilst out hiking. Camped here overnight and found the cache at about 8.30am. Will have to come back to this area in the near future to try some of the nearby Summits when feeling better.
Thanks for the cache.
Shirley

Was out with Rogainer again and also a freind I had drag out from the UK. Must say I found it without the aid of the gps having been told it is over there somewhere.
A massive cache that the the pack of children who were playing in the nearby creekbed would have have had great fun with if they had discovered it.

After conquering Both of Mt Mays' Summits, we popped in here for a quick easy find. Cache site was quite obvious and cache visible, so Dtay did his best to cover it up a bit better as there was a squadren of kids playing in the immediate area.
One of these places I have been meaning to come out to for ages - with the lure of 2 new caches nearby - on top of mountains at that (my favourite kind!), I just had to come out.
Thanks for the cache Paul - a nice big one too.
No swaps today.

My word what a cache! Without a doubt the largest one we've seen so far. Had a few GPS problems in the trees - I went for a huge walk whilst the other half of the party went off & found it in 2 minutes. The plan was to walk up Mt May but time made that not quite possible, we did make the first peak though & the view was fantastic. TFTH
Oh what a feeling!!!!
Another cache that the Garners have not found!!!
Tripple YAHOO a cache that the HawMorFords have not found!!!
Come on guys. I was always humbled by the HawMorFords and Garners for their dedication. But now I must aspire towards my own greatness and leave you behind...
I beat you! I beat you! Ha ha de ha ha!!!
Sorry folks. Just had to score a few brownie points...
We had wee bit of drama finding the right road as we approached from the Maroon Dam end. Google maps are NOT a reflection of reality in this part of the world.
Once we got on the right road we en-counted a neat camping area beside a creek. We pulled out the biscuits and coffee whilst we waited for a few lingering campers to leave.
Had a few issues with the GPSr (extrex legend) under the trees. Did a few re tracks from a distance and got to within 15 meters. Then started a spiral search.
The cache is very well placed and visible once you know where to look.
(We must of lifted every rock and climbed every tree!)
On our way out we checked out Flanigans reserve and decided to camp there over the September school holidays. Check it out if your in the area.
4 of 4 for the day... PERSONAL BEST!!!!

Had planned a walk up Mt May in conjunction with finding this log but senior maruader injured and junior marauder with bad cold. Found cache OK and removed Mikey to further his travels. Took glowstick and left starfish and block face.

Dropped off TB Dorothy the Dragonfly so she could enjoy a view of the waterfall.
Finally got back to this one. This is the cache that introduced us to geocaching (with Ridgerambler), finally got back to log it as a member.

Took the billy lids, they love caching. Found with no real drama. Nice place for camping, TNLN
I don't believe that this cache has been here undisturbed for so long at such a popular campground. Took the family and some local friends to find their first cache and now they're all hooked. Off to get a GPS and start over Easter they reckon. Took some kids toys and left more toys. This is a good one for the tin lids to find.
Found after a nice drive through the Condamine Gorge. Fantastic scenery, and a lovely campsite. Might have to come back for an overnighter! TN, left "Scoobie" created by the eldest in the car on the way there...
Last night we camped just down the hill and over the creek (literally) from the cache! Following a late arvo swim under the waterfall (after the local hoons left), a few quiet drinks and a beaut roast pork in the camp oven, we had one of the best sleeps ever - right above the gently flowing creek!
With some light rain on the tent overnight, we woke to a glorious day and ventured up the hill to find the cache. Got it after dodging all the massive spiders' webs between the trees. It was in good condition, but a little wet at the bottom.
Thanks for bringing us to this fantastic location! We'll be back for sure! TNLN
Cheers,
Crido (& Mucky)

Campe the night at an ideal location, which doesn't charge fees, and doesn't normally have thousands of people camped next door.
Up early in the morning to climb the mountain only to find that the cache is not up there.....nice walk none-the-less.
I'm amazed more people don't come out this way and explore the area...their loss i suppose.
Found cache easily in the end.....swapped something, can't remember now. (might be a set of batteries). Nice cache.

A quiet little detour off the blacktop was a pleasant surprise today. Most caches around here are on top of great big hills. Just happened to notice this one was close to a road and in the direction of no big hills. A very nice little spot and a short walk to the cache. Climbed the little hill behind the cache for a bit of a view too. Took fridge magnets and left the pink piggy.
Great site, lots of 'hoppy' things around. Found the site with a Bear behind. Nice location, thanks for this one.

Team Wizbang's first cache for the weekend. A gerat camp ground, something we wouldn't normally have stumbled upon.
Emptied some water from the bttom of the container, all else was in good condition (lots of goodies), Took nothing Left nothing. 8.57 am Thanks.

Found it difficult to get a good GPS reading under the trees. Took stamp set and left a photo frame.
Yes, the possums were pretty active when we were there too so we had to keep the dogs tied up at night. Must be mating season or something because they were 'active' in more ways than one. We have been here at other times of the year and seen none at all.
Bloody MANTA!!!! Thought for sure we had this in the bag. Oh Well!! Get That!! (easy find hey Manta???!!) Had not been here before so we stayed for two nights and will be back with the Supercachesniferouterer....(Bloody Possums Too!!) The other big bonus was not just the camp area or bagging a cache but the views from the very top of the road!!
Great little spot Bears. An easy find, due to the relatively obvious hide! Took a friend with me for her first geocache and she spotted it pretty quickly.
Didn't swap anything but enjoyed the outing on a great day for caching.
(Two firsts in two days...aah..just like the old days!)
