Due to the poor management of the park at this time of year we didn't get to see as much as we'd have liked. The buses only ran once every 20 minutes, the lines were huge and as a result you could never get on and ended up having to walk or wait. Very disappointing as all the other National Parks we visited were so efficient in their shuttle services. However we made the most of our day and were amazed and inspired by Yosemite Valley. The falls had a great flow and were at their best with all the melting winter snow. There was still a nip in the air and ice on the ground which made it all the more picturesque. Collected the clues and messaged the CO.

Cheers from Sydney Australia!

After a beautiful day hiking the Panorama Trail yesterday, we took it a bit easier today, and enjoyed exploring around the Valley. This one was first up on the list for today, and after a great morning exploring we headed towards GZ. We enjoyed the walk out, and quickly spotted the information we needed, before grabbing a few photos Big Grin

I had been in SF for a conference, and added a few days on my trip to visit Yosemite. On my way out of the park, after checking out of my accommodation, I drove up to the visitor's parking and then walked up to the falls. Due to the drought and lateness in the season, they are just about totally dry, although I was happy to see a tiny bit of water coming down the rocks. I clambered across the boulders until I was right at the cliff's edge, so that I could rightly claim to have "touched" the waterfall. TFTVC

I visited Yosemite today on a one-day tour and will have to come back so I can have more time to look around. One day just isn't long enough. I emailed answers to questions thru yesterday - hope they were all ok. Thanks a lot for the cache. This one definitely gets a FP.

Visited on my US trip, the falls looked amazing. I liked the way that the path lead up to the observation area, with the falls in plain view along the walk. I was also impressed to learn of the path that ran all the way to the top, switchbacking it's way up the steep cliff faces. I'm sure you would get great views from the top of the falls.

After torung around western USA we thought we had seen it all but day by day we got to know more about each area we visited. Our tour guide did not think we would see water over these fall. Lucky for us he was wrong.

I hope I can come back to this place as I would have loved to have walked to the top. Unfortunately organised tours do not provide time to do much more than swing by for a look.

Thanks Big Grin

Spent three days in the park! Havent been here for probably 20 years except to go through on the Tioga road! Water flow was good due to recent California downpours! Sending answers!
