The cache was full of water and stunk to high heaven. Somebody must have put it on it's side or not closed it correctly. I won't replace it.
There was a lot of water in the container, a lot of the contents were ruined. I dried it out as well as I could without a towel (towel didn't make it back into the pack after a soaking earlier in the week), and took out all the ruined paper and cardboard. I've put the container into a plastic bag which might give it some protection.

Didn't have to walk as far as I thought I would L: Black Wolf for some "Horsing Around"
8:50am on my way past on a mountain bike ride. Yes, a 40+ degree day, that's why we start early. At that time of the morning it was still c-o-o-l. The local marsupials were in abundance. Plenty of Blue Wrens about for the ornithologically inclined. Good to see this site some 30 years after Alcoa's rehab efforts.

Thanks!

Thanks!
Even though it was a very hot day it was reasonably pleasant walking along the tracks as there was a lot of shade around.
Found without any trouble.
No swaps made. Thanks for the cache.

The second cache today in an area I have spent time in driving rally cars. Our speed was a lot more sedate today.

Nice bushy spot
Took probot painting left WA cup.
Cache in reasonable condition, fungi growing underneath.
I put a few leaves on it so it doesn't stick out so much with the blue lid.

Found the cache at 6pm. Enjoyed walk to the cache. TNLN SL. Thank you for organised the cache and hunt.
First find in my two day geocaching and camping trip. Pretty much followed Team Gunn Parker's approach, picking up Buckland Road. Got to within 40 metres of the cache. Then battled the dryandra to the cache. Signed log, took something (forgot to note it) and left a scarf and Samsung N105 phone case. Cache is in good condition.
If anyone is considering doing this cache over the weekend of December 10 - 11, 2005, it is likely to be muggle central with the WA 12 hour MTB event taking place here.
Thanks Cache Rangers for bringing me here. Must come back to explore more fully.

Our second one found. Managed to drive quite close to and then walked almost straight to it. Must bring the bike up here as nice place to explore.
Icecream in Jarrahdale, then off for one more for the day.
Took 2x mondo and a dice. Left stickers & hair lackeys.
Thanks for the fun.

Found this one quite easily thanks to the directions in the log by nobodyZ, we managed to get within 20m of cache. Took-compass, Left-Cards SL. TFTH
Interesting drive in as we arrived from the 'wrong side' of the park by 4WD! Seemed to drive in circles for a while following the tracks but we got there eventually. Cache was an easy find even though the co-ords put us about 15m away.
Another spot we would never have found! TFTH.

This wasn't far from where I had just visited my Mum in some cottages amongst the bushland. IRD Cottages I think they are called, very nice if you ever want to stay in the area.
My GPS'r was abit out but Bibra Boys were with me and their GPS'r took us straight to it...doh! Dont ya hate that.

Last one for the day!
GPSr had us in the valley....but logic said it couldnt be in there (no place to hide it) so had a squiz and found it under the usual pile of you know whats.
I like how Zeus never mentioned I helped him find it...is he scared the bibraboys are showing him up? lol
Cool spot...we took a right instead of a left and ended up at this orchard much to the fright of about 20 roos!
Took: Nothing
Left: One of my favourite recipes and some collectable star wars cards (original bubble gum cards from the early 80s)

Picked the right tracks again. Entered Langford Park, stayed left at the roundabout, first right, then left, then right, through a T-junction near a fence (T was sign posted too but I do not remember the names, the offshoot starts with A and the track I was on starts with B) and then stopped 150m short of the cache as there was debris across the track which I couldn't be bothered moving and a hump to negotiate. If I _had_ kept going I would have ended up 40m from the cache but what's a 150m walk after completing Kitty's Kache earlier.
The cache was quite visible from 10m away as the rocks that were probably supposed to be on top where laying beside. Replaced them and added a couple more.

Left the printout for this one at home so only had waypoint to go on. took a couple of detours, and ended up in some camp to start with. had a another go, and got there in the end and managed to park only 50 metres away. Found without any probs
Found it!

First of all, sorry about our English.
After two founds at this beautiful area, we decided to stay overnight at Jarrahdale. But it was only just afternoon and what to do till evening? No question, caching.
We tried to drive to the cache, but the tracks becomes very narrow, so we left the car under a shady tree and walked the last 800 meters (as the crow flies). It was the right decision. We saw some kangaroos (may be wallabies) and heard lots of kookaburras (sadly we don't see them).
The cache was found after a few minutes of searching.
We enjoyed this little walk very much. Without geocaching we never get to know this place.
Thanks very much and best regards, Mattes + PaulHarris

Found this one after "blue rock"
I turned off Jarrahdale Rd into Lyster Rd onto Nettleton Rd and from here just went bush, I was able to park 50 mtrs from the cache but It still took a bit of lookinf to find it.
I took nothing and left nothing, this was some very good driving along some very narrow tracks thanks a lot
now to find "Right on Track"

We think we came in the same way as Varuna. It was only 380m to the cache from where we parked and its an easy flat track to walk along. Walking in quietly gave us the chance to spook heaps of roo's. One went past us at about 30km per hour straight into the bush and was gone. You would never think that something could move so fast in such thick bushland. This must be a great area for mountain biking so we should get back and have a bit of a day out sometime in the future. Took the travel socks (someone will need these for next holiday) and put in a Tazo toy and a very large Australian keyring. We could hear the sound of chainsaws in the distance, the sounds of winter firewood collecting. When we went to leave we had no idea of which way was which, so we used to GPS to point us in the right direction until we found the track again. Another great cache from the cache rangers
Found it on the spot without any difficult. Drove down along Reeds Rd via Jubb Rd and followed GPS until 0.32km from the cache. Parked and walked along the narrow track until 0.40metres before turned off and went into the bush. TN L: key ring. Saw the several big grey roos hopped across the track and several mountain bike riders passed by. Thanks for great spot and hunt, The cache Rangers.
Difficult to locate, but finally found. My GPS was giving various readings and directions. I love this area, and bring some of my clients up here (Langford Park) from time to time. There is a new road into this area from the main road into Jarrahdale from South West Hwy. T: Beachbums Melon and the Magellan Disk, L: A dead mouse (soft toy)
Found this one on the way to a family BBQ. You could come in to this one from Langford Park but there is a quicker entry into this one and if your not looking for exercise you can pull up about 80 meters from the cache but expect a few scratches for the last 500 mtrs. Been around this area 'b4' but never to this part and we saw a couple of horses on the trails. If you do drive to this one be careful as we found some tracks had been roped off and the ropes are difficult to see at about bonnet height. Would hate to think what it would do to a horse at speed.
