Tftc Team Crackers. On a weekend Engineers trip in the area and we had an hour to spend for lunch in San Remo (found 2 of 4) before the bus moved on to the Kilcunda Bridge.A bottler if a day with full sun and only a light breeze.Took in the speech about the history of the bridge and subsequent maintenance and preservation. Once that was done it was time to hunt out this little sucker. Took a bit of searching but spotted it in the end.
A little walk along the rail trail seemed like an excellent idea this evening so i set off to find some more of this series. I loved the structure this one highlights and the little cache container as well. Brilliant spot. Every now and then i find it very therapeutic to skive off from what i really should be doing to enjoy some time in nature, walking, exploring, adventuring, or just being. These days, of course, that also includes geocaching. I was feeling a bit inundated and decided to head for the coast for a sea change, at least for a few days. Phillip Island has long been a favourite so i hit the road and after a busy drive through the city i finally arrived on the island and immediately felt myself beginning to relax. When i was young i enjoyed quite a few family holidays down here and some of my happiest memories were created on splendid days exploring the beaches and rocky coasts. I will certainly find some geocaches while im here but i will probably spend more time just walking and sight seeing i think. Wooden Work 2- A Track to No Where is find number 3,718 for me. A fun other sized traditional cache I enjoyed finding as one of my caching adventures in Bass Coast Shire. I am logging this one on Wednesday 24 July 2024 at 7:40 pm and the weather is Overcast Clouds 14C 62% 9 m/s . Thanks for placing this cache for the rest of us to enjoy Team Crackers.*Found with [Geooh GO](https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.mobiltal.geoohGO)*
My second time searching for this one, this time I brought along uncle doeraeme. With his eagle eyes he made the find for us today! TFTC at such a stunning location!
Took a while to get up in quite a cramped spot but a nice cheeky spot! Well camouflagedTFTC
TFTC!!we were wondering why the cords were so off then realised we had to go lowergreat spot
TFTC SL - found the easy way to the cache on the way out! This bridge would be one of the most photographed structures on the Bass Coast. So beautiful
Came to Cape Paterson for a weekend. We were going to ride our ebikes but the weather was to rainy So decided to explore the area. Trip over to Wilsons Prom finding a few caches on the way. On our way home to Geelong today and finding a few caches on the way home. TFTC
This spot is such an iconic Killy view, we hope the bridge never goes it is so beautiful. We thought we were approaching it incorrectly at first but we only did the last bit properly, we could have come from several different spots to get to the correct elevation.
Even on a quiet weekday with no holidays there was about a dozen bike riders and joggers that we greeted as we were waiting to pounce on the cache, very popular spot.
Thanks Team Crackers for the cache.

A target cache for today! Here on holidays so had to hunt out some oldies! We had a holiday house at Venus Bay when I was a teenager so this bridge always holds a sentimental spot as it meant we were two thirds of the way from home! Love old bridges and their history.
As Luke knew this was a cache spook put out he was so eager to find it and went straight under! Also added a special log for you as opposed to the “found with mum” one most get. Thanks for the hunt and the memories! Fav added.

I made this harder than it needed to be. I got there in the end for an easy find. I added a bit a paper to the cache.
Took the chance to take a walk along the foreshore before sunset, following a lovely scenic dinner at the pub.
We couldn't resist the urge to see if there were any hidden treasures nearby, because this is the perfect locstion fornsome sneaky hides.
After having our breath taken by the beautiful views from the bridge, we set out to make the find.
Took the entirely wrong path to get closer to GZ, and needed to be a little inconspicuous and sneaky as a group of muggles took selfies with the beautiful background nearby.
After battling a series of spiderwebs (and likely spiders) and a dead puffer fish, we soon found what we were looking for!
Log book is full (we didn't bring any spares from the car before we left, sorry) but made our mark before replacing everything as found. TFTC

#229 I love this bridge so much. Definitely an awesome cache! I think I first tried to find this mid this year when it was heavily covered in spiderwebs.
Also logbook full. Thanks!
Also logbook full. Thanks!
A trip to check out all the awesome places in eastern Victoria. TFTC.
What an excellent bridge. Saw it driving past and had to come back for a closer look. Plus a cache. Nice.

TFTC! Took us a while but the hint was very helpful. Couldn’t log it though, the log book was full.
So much fun! Thank you for the great find - lovely adventure for the pup and I on our morning walk.
Wandering along the coast with stainless steel rat on a gorgeous sunny winters day and we realized there were a couple of older caches around so we set our sites on two of them, this being the first. A quick find once we got to GZ. Great views from all around here. We're used to seeing Bass Strait from the southern side!
Thanks Team Crackers

This was a late addition to our short list but we were pleased we added it as it has a cracking view of the bridge and the cache was a quick find.
This was a long weekend of caching that we had planned to take toolman on with us when he had recovered from what his doctor call a 'tune-up' but due to a delay here and a setback there all he could manage was a catch up over coffee on Saturday morning, it's been a while so it was nice to just have a chat. In the end it was a Friday to Monday trip where myself and goose searched for a small amount of caches to help fill a few of our grids, it was a few days of mixed weather but we still had a good caching trip, thanks to all the COs.
Thanks for the cache.

Found with icw. The treatment given to preserve this historic trestle bridge is impressive. With so many potential hiding places the hint was most useful. Tftc.
Superb location. Had helpers - daughters and friends. They wanted to see what this geocaching thing is. When I said it might be hard to find their collective competitive spirit kicked in to be the one to find it. It was great to sit back and watch and hear squawks when spider webs encountered. After a while I joined in the hunt and found it! Log full so took photo to send to co for verification. The best day. Thanks Team Crackers. Awesome spot
Took side track and was right on coordinates and using hint, just couldn't find these last ones but this one was a bit tricky because believe or not there were two muggles standing above me in the exact spot I needed to come out of cover to search better. On the whole length of area they stood at the coord

Yay. Came today without my son and i was sure i wouldn't find it. Almost gave up, but yay, found it. As others have mentioned, no place to sign. Placed back where i found it.
Nice, easy find in a nice spot. Logbook is full and needs replacing. TFTC
Epic trail up to locate this interesting cache, another new one we hadn't seen before. Log book in great condition but is totally full, now I've signed at line 21. Where the sticky tape is, ( I have a pen that can sign on that surface). Favourite from me, got great photos from this spot!

Found on this beautiful morning, fantastic place for a cache . Many thanks for bringing me here
On a road trip to Phillip Island for a couple of weeks, picking up random caches as we travel around seeing the sites. Today we were heading across to Venus Bay and spotted this historic bridge and stopped to take a pic and of course there was a cache here as well. After checking out the beach, and the bridge from the top we definitely took the longest route to the cache. With the help of the hint it was Mrs Pooky who eventually made the find in an area Mr Pooky had already looked. TFTC.
A great experience introducing some new cachers to the game. A cache we have often looked for but never found. TFTC
We stopped here on our way home from Inverloch. Another one in this series found. Took some photos and admired the views. A quick find due to the helpful hint. In good condition.
We are staying in Grantville for a few nights as we are going to the River Garden Working Bee CITO Event on Saturday. The Geodog that broke her foot a few weeks ago needed a dressing change. While we were out and about we picked up some lunch in San Remo and headed to a lovely place to eat it. The sea was wild today near the trestle bridge and provided us with a spectacular view while eating and the two little geodogs had a ball running around. Once lunch was eaten we checked to see if there was a nearby cache and indeed there was. Once we worked out how to get to the cache location it was a reasonably easy find. The cache log is very full and unfortunately insufficient room to add another slip. Thank you, Team Crackers for this cache in such a beautiful part of the world. This was the first place Mr Dromaniax ever surf fished.
Found while on a trip out with the family. Geo daughter poked it with a stick to get to it. Lots of harmless cobwebs. Great bridge. lovely views. TFTC.
we visited yesterday
to see the sights and beach and scope out the lay of the dunes but there were just too many passers-by passing by to have a proper search
so after a morning walk and some lunch at the general store we returned to complete the paperwork
we do love a good trestle bridge, having recently toured the one in noojee
this one is perhaps a smidge less spectacular, with its more modern safety-minded touches and its lack of an aesthetic curve
but the bridge holds up well for a 111-year-old
thanks for the treasure, mighty fine part of the world here

So took the wife on a short break over Christmas and New Year, along with that came the mandatory lets find some caches each day.
Started just before Christmas down in Metung in Gippsland and explored the area as well as visiting the koalas on Raymond Island and the beaches of lakes entrance.
After that we spent a few days in Kilcunda and walked the George Bass trail as well as a visit to Philip Island.
A pretty great trip to relax over Christmas and New Year.
Ended up finding 50 caches and 3 new travel bugs as well as placing one... unfortunately I also had 8 did not finds which I think is a record for me.
The caches took me to some wonderful places as I got to see Koala's, Seals, Dolphins and heaps of spiders and creepy crawlies..
sorry for the generic log.
Thanks for the cache and the hide

Last time I'd done the George Bass Coastal Walk I thought about visiting this bridge - I do like a good trestle bridge. However, I was a bit worn out and the extra 1km return was not appealing.
However, lockdown had done wonders for my fitness so this time I happily headed along to this bridge.
Quickly located the cache (though with the help of the hint) - not quite the camo I was expecting here...
Then had a conversation with a couple that were also looking at the beach, and I was able to inform them when they asked if I knew when the bridge was made - thanks to the cache description. Not doing too badly for 110 years old.
Thanks for the cache.

Covid-19 restrictions are now lifted and Geocaching is allowed so it is back on line.
Going through lists and logs in my spare time (giggle) no seriously I have some spare time today to catch up on logs and when looking at a list I had from last year I see I failed to log this one after a quick trip to Wonthaggi and then down this way.
Sorry for the late log TFTC

We cycled over this stunning bridge yesterday on a 15.7 bike ride with 3 adults and 3 kids (one kid was on a non gear bike and the another was in a bike trailer due to breaking both arms 6 days ago) Today Hubby made the find despite the rest of us being there before home. We had lunch nearby and had a short play on the beach before heading back into a new METRO COVID lockdown. Thanks for the cache.

First on the trail today. Has us poking around but coords were right on. Nice camo SL TFTC
We’re staying in kilcunda for a few days and had a whole-family wander after dinner. Boys were very helpful hunting over and under and eventually making the find.
Meandered back to our house afterwards to watch the sunset and the tennis.
Ironically we found another cache today with the word “erehwon” (read it backwards) in the title.
Thanks heaps for our evening adventure.

We approached the GZ from the bottom and it was a lot higher up than we thought. Clever camo and a great find, in amongst the showers and hail stones.
