It's a great place to visit but the cache is in a precarious position so I'm taking it out.

Found it ok after leaving "Kangaview". No other cars at car park so had the place to myself. No problem with blackberry bushes, just followed the track. A word of warning. I was there after rain and the track was extremely slippery, especially near the cache which involved some steep scrambling. If you had a fall you could do yourself some serious damage. TN, LN.

Had a great day out. Got scatched severely by the Blackberry bushes, but enjoyed the hunt all the same.
Cache was clearly visible in the crevice, we placed some rocks on and around the cache to hide it from any muggles.
Took: nothing.
Left: Small model car and blue knuckle head, and our calling card, for the 1st time

A pleasant walk in the bush, with good co-ords. The actual location of the cache had a fair bit of close vegetation in the vicinity and made it far more humid that the day actually was. I was sweating buckets by the time we had finished doing the log thing and made our way back to the track and the cool breezes. TNLN. Thanx guys Big Grin

Found today after fighting the blackberry bushes growing near the cache. Hadn't read that there was no log book so didn't take a spare but I used my 'note' book after ripping out a few pages of my notes so there is now a log book in the cache.

No swaps made. Thanks for the cache.

Found easily on a overcast Sunday afternoon. No sign of blackberries for us. Must have been blown up. No log book present.

21-Oct-06
Quick trip out with geokid & friend. Dodged blackberries & found o'k. Was 5'ish when we got there, so rushed as didn't want to get locked in, as '6PM Gates Locked' signs not adhered to by the rangers.
T: Ball & magnets
L: Pinball game & beanie walrus
Thanks for fun.

After a rest from the last cache I went of to find this one. Nearing GZ I saw the blackberry brambles so found a way round them. The track is very slippery when wet so be careful. Found the cache easily.

Nice late afternoon walk with plenty of roo's and cockies around. Nice walk to GZ, but that blackberry bush is horrible and very prickly! I swear it jumped out and grabbed me! We found a good pair of size 8 jeans close to the cache...I guess the blackberry bush won that round?? Nice big rocks around here. Ursula found the cache easily at 6:20pm. Had to laugh at Comdeks comment in the log saying that the blackerries should be blown up! I agree! Nice and peaceful up here...well, it was until the black cockies started screeching. I was tempted to go for a swim as the water looked inviting.
TN-LN-SL. Thanks for the hunt and good exercise Cache Rangers!

Found and followed the track easily but when we had to go bush, that was a different story! The GPSr were all over the place swinging around and changing distances! Must have been the Trees or the granite?? Eventually the gps lead me back to very close to where we started looking but from a different direction. I knew we must have been close because, like Belken, I donated quite a lot of blood to the Blackberries!
Took: Lots of blackberry thorns!
Left: Copious blood!

Thanks for the hunt..... and the pain!!

Phew!! My second attempt at finding the cache. Plenty the spikes bushes (ouch ouch)... very nice area and view too.
TNLNSL. Thanks for the hunt.

Found it! Yipee! This was our second attempt at this one. We noted Belken's comment about the right hand side and as we where in the area, decided to have another go. Again we found it a challenge as we came in to far from the right and had the GPSr swinging a bit. Thankfully, even though it was swinging, it would settle down for short periods of time making it possible to narrow down the search area. Glad to put this one to bed. Thanks Cache Rangers for an interesting hunt. As the pencil was broken and there was no sharpener, left a sharpener after working the pencil over. Took nothing. Signed the log book. Cache is in good condition.

My second attempt at finding this one with Dad. Had fun climbing the rocks here. Took the dime and left a Ericsson T18 mobile phone case. Thanks for the hunt.

Was up the road and decided to duck down and give this a go. The GPS does fluctuate wildly as you move up the track. However retreated a little got clear signal then took our bearings and went for it.

The cache location is bloody huge and once you get through the scrub the GPS settles again. Bel spotted the cache from about 20 metres away coming up the right side(Where there are spiny plants. Blackberries maybe). We have hidden it a little better.

Took nothing Left nothing but a few pints of blood.

Thanks for the cache

Walked from the top carpark through the bush long walk but nice find.

Another great Cache Rangers cache. These guys place caches in some of the best spots and we just love being able to have a walk to get there instead of just driving up. (ask me if I still thought that at the end of the day!!!)

30-Dec-04
nice little walk apart from the honky nuts and the spikey bushes.

05-Dec-04
Went in search of this one with Minibenkst but with out luck. Just couldn't get a decent fix on the GPSr which was jumping everywhere. Even walked away and came back from a different angle and then had the GPSr suggesting a completely different place from when we first arrived! Would have liked Varuna's clue but it seems it is not to be. Will be back to have a better look, hopefully with a better signal. Thanks anyway.

Went in search of this one with Dad (Aushiker) but couldn't find it Sad.

Parked the car and headed off along the track. It had just been raining so the track was a bit slippery in places, plus the bushes dumped a lot of water on you when you knocked them. Got to the cache site and the heavens opened up. As I stood there dripping wet and waiting for the rain to stop, I looked down, and spotted the cache. Took travel bug Small World, a bonus for getting drenched, and left tiki keyring, then trudged back to the car to dry off.

The track to the cache was so enjoyable yo walk along. We were kind of disapointed that it wasnt a full loop trail so we could continue the rest of the way around the lake. We followed the GPS untill close to the cache then the Needle went mad. It told us we were 1 metre from the cache when infact it turned out we were about 20 metres from it. We had to wait untill it averaged and as time passed we moved closer to the location. We used the clue as it looked like there could be 100 hiding places around here. We missed the cache on the fist look but found a suspicious looking rock out of place and turned it over ...presto there it was. We added the Travel Bug "Small world" and took out the Snoopy toy. Thanks guys for the reason to have an afternoon walk.

Arrived at GZ with accurate co-ords but before we went on –the rate of terrain was 2 for nice little track down until approx last 18m from the cache, the rate of terrain has became 4 . There are lot of the spikey bushes to get thru climbing up on the left side of where the cache is. Retreated back to the little track and continued walking further around to the right side of the cache. Found much better and pleasant bushes area without any spikey ones and climbed up to GZ. TNLNSL. Thank you for bringing us to this lovely spot. It has been always very pleasant to spend the relaxing time around by the water and a nice picnic spots too. Thanks for the hunt and walk exercise, The Cache Rangers.

I was already wet to the skin after walking in and out of "Robin's Ramble", and it looked like the rain was here to stay, so I set off to find this cache, in the drizzle, without an umbrella. Wayne and Kathryn are correct about the trees here; they seem to retain an inordinate amount of water, and Heaven help you if you brush by one! I had water literally streaming down my back after I knocked against one on the way back. Of course, it didn't really matter, because everything I had on was already dripping wet anyway. The joys of winter caching! Wink

It was an easy find at 1130; the coordinates are very accurate. The rain actually eased off a touch as I found the cache, so I was able to write a semi-decent log entry.

A cautious walk along a slippery track with drip laden bushes on either side, just waiting for you to bump them, allowing them to release their burden as an unexpected cold shower that you know you can only blame yourself for. This is a lovely spot, especially in good weather. Coords are accurate and we found the cache without problem. T: a small tin with a fridge magnet inside, L: Swan River Trust keyring and Snoopy (soft toy). Thanks again to the Cache Rangers for the showers, the cache and the hunt.

The coordinates of the cache were mixed up with another one. Have to re-submit it to the geocache site.

Went in search of this one this morning. I think the first co-ords are out (706 instead of 076).Transposing these took us to the Dam area. After some serious bush-bashing and a fairly thorough search we were forced to give up on this one.
Maybe the owner could verify co-ords.
