I thought I archived this a couple of weeks ago. It is definitely been muggled and with a history of being attacked I will not restore it.

Following a couple of DNFs Iwill disable this cache until I can check it out. maybe a week or so though.
After talking to Navigull at WWFM Kiwi stylie, I still could not find it. Looked in all the obvious places.

Searched for quite a while but to no avail. Looked in all the obvious hiding places but no evidence of any cache.
Nice spot to visit though, would never have come here otherwise. Dragon is impressive.

I dropped off a new container today and relocated the hiding place. The description has been edited somewhat and the clue updated.
I will check this out in a few days time. Will have to arrange a new container it seems.
Went to reclaim this again due to change in user name, expecting it to be in same place but couldn't find it. Reckon it's been muggled as evidence of plastic toys and beer bottles around the area.
I must not be in tune with the local cachers. We looked for ages but didn't go very far into the trees. I 'dunno...
Nice View and pretty easy to locate although I did have to go there twice. Thanks!
Took a wee while. Was sitting chatting on the phone to "primary eyes" and spied the spot!
Lovely cache with a lovely view. One of those places we've drived past numerous times but never stopped to visit. Thanks!
A lovely day and a very interesting seat! Found fairly quickly.

What a cute wee beasty! He watched us carefully, but must have thought us safe enough to leave us alone. Good quick find, TNLN, TFTC.
Loved the mosaic bench and pleased to see it in such good condition in this public place. There were four of us searching for this cache and it still took a while. Not sure that where we found it was the correct hiding place, so put it back where we thought it should have been. SL. TFTC.
Also logging in and out our England Geocoin.

A gentle stroll to visit a most magnificant beast,
but horror - this one consumes fairies!
The butterfly would like to linger,
and enjoy the colourful beast,
but wings engaged and heart all a flutter,
dared not stay so close to the danger.
Upon retreat a much more powerful critter was spied,
as a line of cars stopped both ways,
and mother duck herded her offspring
across the very busy main road.
Now tell me do, which creature is best,
the one that eats tiny fairies,
or the one that protect tiny young?
Just to remind the dragon, we left a small butterfly figure in the cache - thanks for this excellent placement.

Cute dragon. We walked over the grass instead of using the track and it was sloppy, wet and muddy.
Great find the kids loved climbing and exploring the dragon while Mum found the cache nice and easy family fun. Great day sunny and windy and nice view.

Took a walk in between afternoon showers to pick up this one. Found the Dragon first, and the cache was easy from there. Took TB for travel further south. Many thanks for the cache
Rala could finish work some hours earlier today, so we headed off to the Northshore to get some caches there done.
After we had walked along the rain soaked grass, we actually found the convenient walkways that would have taken us to the dragon with dry feet. The dragon reminded us of the parks of Antonio Gaudi in Barcelona/Spain. The dragon is so cute that Rala immediately made him her friend. With his help, we also had no problems with the cache.

Great spot and loved the dragon, looks magical and lives by the sea, could it be Puff?
Don't know why I made this hard for myself but I did, searched in all the wrong places to eventually find it was really quite easy.

I enjoyed a nice walk over from HMNZ Naval Base, Auckland after wrapping up a third working session of a two week Navy business trip. Curiously, our meeting site is visible from “The Seatâ€. The soccer kids were actively engaged in practice sessions as I entered the grounds. Loved the seat. Perfect theme for a Team Gecko find (we like to think geckos and dragons are distant cousins). It began sprinkling a bit shortly after I found the container. Fortunately, I was able to duck under cover for the short time it took to log and make exchanges. Left a TG card, a collared lizard and a blue horned lizard. Took a small green frog. Thanks for the fun hide and a novel seat with a view.

Eventually found ourselves in the park. Interesting seat and so colourful - loved it, plus the view. Left frog and took skateboarder.
Very difficult finding a parking area, had to park across the street and then nice walk to a very nice surprise. signed log.

This seat is indeed beautiful and a lot of craftsmanship has gone into it. It is a surprisingly quiet part of the park during the week, so it is good to see, that thanks to Navigull this location is getting a lot of visitors. TFTC
The dragon is beautifully crafted and deserves the numbers of visitors it is getting thanks to Navigull. Easy find.

Found late afternoon - easy to find at high tide with nobody whatsoever lurking about on a fine summer day. Very interesting seat to have a gaze at the harbour bridge and marae. +-nil. Cheers, -j

As others have noted, walked here easily from Waters of the Bay.
Grew up in this area, and never knew about the Dragon seat (but I guess it was a rubbish dump for a while).

What a great seat! Found in with Kaimai and Widgy. It is just down the road from Widgy's house. We were off to find another cache and Widgy said she knew where the seat was so a speedy u turn was excecuted and we were off to find our first cache of the day!!
Beautiful, outstanding dragon. Lots of work to create this colourful beast. Is this an old tip?

Walked to the cache from the ferry terminal. The seat is quite neat and the view today of the bridge was well framed by the landscape. Enoyed this location very much. TNLN.
I'm a local but never knew the seat existed, my girls thought it was great. Cold SW wind coming straight down the bay didn't dampen our enthusiasm. Easy find TFTC.

Got to this one just befor a a big dumping of rain. Neat seat and a view of the harbour. SL TFTK, had to run for the car in the rain.
Safe to call in with the kids with the rain to put out any flame from the dragon
Spotted the dragon from some distance when approaching. Lacking a charger and a lance, I approached on foot and soon had the cache in hand. Sat on the dragon and filled out the log while appreacating the view to the now setting sun.
Beautiful view and loved the dragon (a pity that someone decided to graffiti it - why?!). Thanks for the cache. TNLNSL
Dodged the showers and then had a quick walk across the long grass (yuk, pants are wet again ) to discover a really colourful and unusual seat. + red lizzard. – necklace. – Come fly with Me TB.
First cache of the day, and accompanied by our Kiwi muggle friends Aeron and Shai. It was nice to be able to take them on a lovely walk they didn't know about despite live their whole lives in Auckland! LOVE the Dragon's Seat too! Logging several travel bugs and geocoins through; all but Come Fly with Me shall be moving on to Australia!
I'm finally logging the Come fly with Me! Travel Bug, which I picked up in Tasmania, gave some minor renovations, then flew to the US and around the southwest (including a quick trip to the Grand Canyon to get married), and left in Auckland. A big sorry to cache lizzy cache and BaldEd who have suffered because it's taken me so long to find photos and log all these stops! Now the journey is complete, guess I'll need to update the GoogleEarth image of its travells!
Great dragon! Avoided the flames, and found after a brief search by the team.

Loads of muggles at the skatepark even though its was getting dark. Just about got caught but covered up well. We live in the area and never knew that fabulous seat was there. Just shows you!!! Had to fish around for a while but got it in the end. Thanks.

My first find! I am no longer a muggle and am totally hooked on this already. Great find in a beautiful spot. Being an ex-pat American, took the LA County Peace Force Pin & sticker; left blue glass star (belated Christmas).

Really nice spot here, and I was very relieved that this cache site was bike-able. Easy find after availing myself of the seat and admiring the view. Blessedly free of muggles, too. Took nothing, left Geo-coin.
Braved the dragon's wrath and sat down on its back. Soon, all was revealed and I walked straight over to the cache and signed the log.
Took a bit of a look but found it eventually. Nice spot, very interesting seat.

Tuesday 19 July.
The junior ‘Team Tanetops’ were most impressed by the fiery dragon and soon solved the hidden meaning in the encrypted message. However a thorough search around the target plant proved unsuccessful. Clearly some elevated thinking was required and finally the mist cleared and the location of the treasure was revealed.
