The cache is MIA.
As there are a number of other caches in the area including some Earthcaches, I'll let this one pass into history.
Thanks to everyone who found it.

I had a few hours before the official start of the Ballarat Cache Smackdown on the weekend of 23-25 March with caching buddies Quasar3671, Blacklegend, Haveanez and Dazrascal so I decided to go for a bit of a drive along the Calder freeway and pick up a number of caches before meeting up with part of the team before moving off to Ballarat. I had a great run visiting some pretty interesting places. I like this type of caching where you visit some really interesting places. Thanks to all the CO’s for their efforts, I really enjoyed the search. This was my first DNF for the weekend. Met a brand newbie cacher here. Pity I didn't find it with him. Cheers.

Dnf perhaps washed away in recent flooda

I was very proud to count this cache as my first proper find as madboy42 tends to spot caches before I do. A lovely area and a great place to bring my friend who is a geology nut. Left a badge. Tftc!

this was our second one for the morning.
great find. thanks caughtatwork.[:x]

5th and last find in the Organ Pipes National Park. Sensational location and a pretty quick find had, despite the long grass and some reasonable caution due to possible snakes. Might have to contact you about me setting up an earth cache at this location, well, offset a bit. It is worthy. Will send a personal message. Thanks for bringing me here. TFTC.

Very nice. TFTC!

Scrounged around for awhile. There was long grass, so I don't know whether this assisted the hide. Gave up on the search as one of my accomplices today was experiencing his first geo adventures and I didn't want him bored and turned off caching. Nice location which I've driven past many many times. Closer to maccas than I thought. TFTC.

Found at 9.25am on a day out caching - just the 2 of us. We headed in a direction we hadn't been before and this was our first stop and the first time Mr had been hear -and a very very long time since Mrs. After the long walk down the hill the cache was found and the log signed. 27/08/11 11:46 AM Find #424 - I was a bit confused by the hint as today the GPSr had me a bit higher but extending the search radius uncovered what I was seeking! Grabbed GC to move along. Thanks for bringing me here.

I Had to search for a little while and then took notice of the clue. Very handy hint although no fence around.
Very interesting rock formations and the creek bubbling along was very pleasanyt.

Out caching with LouiseAnn on a rainy and cold day. Still, we had an enjoyable walk around the park without getting too wet. Enjoyed the sight of the rock formations and also to have a walk on top of the columns, although slippery today at this cache. Cache was found after a bit of a search. Left Canadian coin. Thanks for taking us here and for the interesting information, caughtatwork!

I visited this park on a cold and rainy day with Ostra74, we chatted as we strolled down to the impressive geological feature and collected all the required information earth caches in the area, before moving on to this traditional cache. I really enjoyed the information contained in this cache description, I thought it was better than all the earth caches in the area, we enjoyed reading it and it provided us we a good understanding of the geology in the area. The hint does need to be updated, as the fence it refers to is no longer present. Thanks for the cache caughtatwork.

Pleasant walk down to area and took me quite a long while to locate the cache. Agree with other logs that hints are confusing. SL TFTC

Found in the company of the Earthbound family. They (parents) decided we needed to get out of the house before the end of the holidays. Strange the info centre wasn't open on a weekend during the school holidays, I wonder when it does open?? TFTC, interesting rock formation, we saw something similar in Tasmania in January but that tesselated pavement was a coastal rock platform.

We've come for an afternoon walk so why not pick up a cache.
Good to have a traditional amongst the earthcaches.
Found the cache without too much trouble slightly left of the formation and took the TB
The fence mentioned in the hint is no longer in existence, so the hint may need tweaking.
Thanks for the cache

Took us a little while to find this one as the described landmark (fence) was nowhere to be seen. All good after some minutes. There is still some slimy mud on the outside but inside all is fine.

The Organ Pipes were a great little caching and wander stop as we made our way up to Echuca via Kyneton this morning. The kids had loved the various rock formation (to our surprise!) and this one thrilled them both with the opportunity to clamber about. Meanwhile, Mum and Dad searched for caches - Not too successfully at first, fearing a DNF and poking about in various nooks and crannies in the area, but with careful attention to the clue we eventually found the cache in a sensible, but excellent, spot. Cache is now in great nick due to the recent maintenance.

Dropped off a TB to mark our first traditional cache of the trip Smile Thanks caughtatwork...

We had flown into Melbourne to visit the King Tut exhibition and to visit a few earthcaches, but couldn't resist some nearby traditionals. Unfortunately, we relied on the GPS to get us here from the airport, and promptly got lost. We eventually found our way and after quite a search, we had the cache in hand. We enjoyed our walk along the tracks in this park. TFTC caughtatwork

We found this one while doing the local earthcaches. It took a few minutes to find. The cache was full of water and we dried it out as best we could. The log books were in a bag full of water. They were soaked and quite slimy, but possibly could be dried out (and will return to owner after a short stint in the Qld sun). We removed them and put in a new dry book.

We were quite impressed with thelocal geological feature. We were also observed by the local wallabies who were a little shy for a photo.

Found this morning after doing the rounds of the fascinating Earthcaches in the park.
Took a little time, and I was about to give up as my logs were over a week old, meaning the last three were DNF's.
Hint didn't help as the 'fence' is long gone, I guess from the flooding.
I dried the container as well as i could, and then removed all the contents except the pathtag, logbooks and pen.
The swaps were all slimy and smelly, so might need to be replaced if considered important.
Will download a photo of a rock wallaby about 10m from GZ if the camera shot is clear enough.
My thanks to c@w for another quality cache, and for the information provided, an extremely rich history.

Totally waterlogged, log unsignable as us wet and has been for a while I'd say as it's also slimy. Emptied water and removed sodden slimy something? Maintenance required ASAP. Took geocoin left signature pathtag in place of signing log

Quickly found @ 1145 - a quick visit to drop off the Dartmoor National Park geocoin. Logbooks have achieved a slime level previously only associated with mashed snails & are fast becoming papier mache, so I've plastic-wrapped the coin. TN, left Dartmoor geocoin, signed temp log. TFTC.

Found with Teamppss on a 5 cache grab at the Organ Pipes NP. I first came here in the early eighties, then neglected the park until the late nineties, and somehow missed the naughties!! Will have to come back twice in the 'twentyteens' to make up for the time. Cache was certainly damp and in need of some TLC. Thanks Caughtatwork for bringing us back to the park, and TFTC

Reperio at 1245. After stopping by the different geological locations in the area, we continued our walk down to the pavement, and after a bit of a scout around, we found the cache lurking in a spot we overlooked on our first search. This is the second tessellated pavement, the other being in Tasmania that I have been fortunate enough to see...this one a little less impressive, but still a very interesting location. Like others have already mentioned, the log was wet with plenty of water in the cache which we drained.

I was out on a Gnome hunting and hiding day today. Sometimes it's good to do some caches like this from the "alternative" website Razz so I downed Gnome tools and set out to find this one.
There was a lot of rain around today so I consider myself lucky to have made it down and back to the car after touring all the nearby caches without getting a drop on me.
When I found the cache I poured out all the smelly water and just about managed to sign one end of the gunky logbook. I then tried to dry it as best as I could but this won't be much help. Sad I'm just sorry that I didn't have my cache repair and replacement kit with me today as I was expecting to do only Gnomes and Earthcaches today. [B)] At least I could wash my hands in the nearby Jacksons Creek.
Took: tag (I know how quickly these things start to rust!). Left: nothing.

Cheers caughtatwork, thanks for bringing me back to this beautiful spot.

We came to visit this park by accident this afternoon.
I actually wanted to cache in another park, but wasn't so sure where it was located, and we ended up here, in the Organ Pipes National Park!

It certainly wasn't a wasted day. The sun was out and the weather was quite warm, and the walk around this reserve was pleasant.

The bf and I visited the main attraction points here most importantly we found this cache!

The walk back up the hill was a killer though !

I've driven past organ pipes NP heaps of times and always want to stop off but have never got around to it, so this cache gave me a good excuse to go down one weekend. Was a beautiful little park, but geez was popular. I sat on the seat by the rocks waiting as the constant stream of muggles, one group after another, came, looked, took photos and left for about twenty minutes until finally i had the chance to get my GPS out and find the cache. I enjoyed waiting here and watching the river gurgling along, otherwise i would have also been one of the people that came, looked, took photo and left. Thanks for the cache.

Found by The Empire @ 2:00pm
Find number 4 of 9 today. After taking the required photos at the Organ Pipes Earthcache I had to bypass the Rosette Rock Earthcache due to a guy taking "glamour" shots of this chick... yeah... she likes geology... a lot. I bypassed them and headed straight to this cache, I had the cache found but not retrieved yet, I was putting down my umbrella and sorting out my GPSr. Then they turned up here. Obviously these rocks get her rocks off too... yuck... I waited, trying to not look like a perv and when they were obscured by a few trees (yeah... they were in the bush alright) I grabbed the cache, quickly scribbled my name in the log and then I took off for the last Earthcache before they came back. Thanks for the cache caughtatwork.

Wow! This is the word I'd use to describe the location of this Cache. After 'surviving' plod-crossing the Calder Freeway a few times, (after an earlier Cache 'up the Freeway') the plod to this Cache, once the National Park had been entered, is a delight. It was still early morning and nobody except 'The Quiet Plodder' was in the vicinity. It's been well over 40 years since I vaguely recall coming to this Park and yes Folks it's steep (even going down) but easy (no rock or cross country scrambling required). If you like Geology and Aircraft, this is the place to be as it appears the Park is under the Tullamarine Flight Path! Walking along the Creek toward the Cache and passing another fantastic Volcanic feature you could not help but be impressed. The Information provided by 'caughtatwork' is very helpful and added to the enjoyment, as is the Park Notes you can collect from the very modest Visitor Information Center. I'd certainly urge you follow the Clue and not interfere with any of the Geology (no need to) and then after finding the Cache spend some time exploring (and photographing) the vicinity, before slowly plodding back up the steep path from whence you came. Cache is good nick too, considering its age. Note there is another Cache in the Park, not far away and well worth a visit. TNLN. Thanks again to 'caughtatwork' for another delightful caching experience. TQP

Today was a good chance to clean up a few close to home that I still hadn't found. I decided the weather was perfect for the walk to the two at the Organ Pipes, including this one. The cool southerly breeze meant that it was very comfortable down in the valley, except for the constant stream of planes overhead. It took me while to track down this cache, with all of the possible hiding places, but eventually found it, by standing and looking, knowing that c@w would hide it in an environmentally sustainable way. The cache is still in good condition, after almost six years. TNLN. Great to finally get this one. Now, off to number two in the park, before I tackle that climb back up to the car!

Went to the park for a Picnic and found this Cache. Had a good time and saw some wildlife. Kids complained a little about the climb but they soon got over it. Took a little while to find the cache as one of the kids made a mistake with the additional hints decryption which put us off track a little. Added a DS stylus but didn't take anything. Were interupted by a muggle when writing in the log, so it was cut a bit short. Smile

Found @ 1150 by Mrs Mud, Johnny Mud and GeoSam. We were also going to attempt "I Guess They Couldn't Stand Organ Music", however the creek was a bit high after the recent few days of rain to safely negotiate so we chose to err on the side of caution. So off to "D Minor" it was. Found easily after the muggle tourists left GZ. The cache log was full as per the most recent log post so we did a little housekeeping including adding a new log book (a bit bigger than the last so please make sure the lid is on tight) and getting rid of a few mouldy bandaids and some odd damp bits of paper. After a quick dry the cache was nice and new again and ready to go. Signed the log (new book), rehid and back to the visitors centre area for hot dogs on the gas BBQ for lunch.
Great spot. Signed the log and took nothing. Left 2 x AFES Pogs (American military platic coins)
Terrific place to visit. Highly recommended. TFTC. Big Grin

Found by Bob at 1520

On a bit of a tour of the western suburbs, I'd penciled in the two at this park to have a go at but, after my previous cache, it was raining quite steadily and I was very tempted to leave them for another day as I had no raincoat or umbrella. As it turned out, however, I'm really glad I didn't as they were the highlights of the day and I really enjoyed the solitude and stillness of the gorge with all the vegetation dripping wet. I guess I'd typically tend to visit this sort of park on a summery sort of day but, the cooler weather today really made things a lot more comfortable and the rain (which had stopped by the time I got there) made the bush wet and it seemed so much more "alive" than it does on those stinking hot summer days. The only real problem was the first part of the path down - it's asphalt and the rain had made it quite slippery and, after one slide (which didn't result in a fall!), I had to be very careful and was almost tip-toeing down - it was much easier on the way up! I saw a number of wallabies (one right next to my car when I got back to the car-park) and a few kangaroos - some of them hopping into the creek and swimming across. The park's slated attractions were very impressive too.

TNLN

Thanks again caughtatwork - a fantastic spot indeed!
