Seventeenth of twenty-six caches on my first day in Davis. This is another puzzle that I had worked out before leaving Oz, so I was keen to log it. The puzzle took me a while to work out, as I couldn't find a way to start. I thought one of the five-letter words would be 'cache', but that theory was a washout. However, I eventually figured out a couple of possible words, and I was away. The rest of the puzzle solved relatively easily, but I couldn't come up with a unique word for 14 Down--I came up with about five possibilities.. However, this was not significant to the solution.
I actually drove to within 5m of the cache, not realising that this was a pedestrian/bike path. [|)] I had a quick find at 1715, and got out of there before the joggers took me to task. My thanks to LAM & LAR (and Nylimb) for the cache.

It took me a few minutes to figure out how to start but after I figured out a couple of tricks, I was able to complete the puzzle - but that was months ago. Today, I was in the area so I went to find it. I like the way the actual hide ties into the puzzle . Thanks for the fun. -40-
It took a while and a suggestion from a fellow cacher to get me started on the puzzle, but once I got started, it all fell into place quickly. We came out today to grab this one. Neat location. tftc
This one was tough. I had no clue where to start. We weren't able to get much help from others, and the one hint we did get was wrong, but it was close enough to get Frivlas started. Once started everything fell into place very quickly. tftc
Huzzah! Found some coords and the cache was there! This is the toughest level puzzle I ever solved.
This was an excellent puzzle! Noticed how I can get started on the puzzle a few days ago, and solved it after that. Thanks!
I ran into the author of this cache on the campus of HSU as we simultaneously arrived at a cache site. We got to talking and he told me about this cache in Davis. Being an old Aggie, I had to make sure I logged this one. TN, left a USA Geocoin. Thanks for this fun puzzle.
