Arrrgghh wish i had of read previous logs for this before we spent 20mins looking for it.
Please resurrect or archive

Forgot to check the logs before promising my grandson there would be a secret treasure near the trains. A very disappointed 4 year old, so we went and found another one to compensate. Could this be archived please.
The guys went to have a look for this, they saw a likely hollow, but did not find. Might try again next time. TFTC
Searched but not found. Rang cache owner to confirm location. Discussed with cache owner and he will archive it.
Great spot, but as per the previous logs we couldn't find the cache. Took a photo of where we thought it should be if the cache owner is interested but looks like they are no longer active.
this cache, may be missing. the cacher that took this cache over from me "rick-a-mortis" sadly pasted away. so if the next person to do this cache could put a new container in that would be awesome. email me and i'll let you know exactly where it was [email protected] thank you
Had no luck with this one. The area around GZ has been pretty well destroyed – whether by cachers or muggles who knows, but we think the cache owner should definitely check the area.
Well, spent quite some time looking to no avail.
GPS accuracy was good, but allcould find was a lot of damaged plants. Perhaps someone has destoyed the cache? Or we just misread the clues
Will keep an eye on this, and if anyone else finds will try again

it was very easy it was about 10 meters from the entrance.we took the wooden cup and replaced it with the mikulda travel bug.this camel needs to get to Dubai or there abouts
Guess we were really lucky that the wet weather meant all was quiet here today. Must be a tricky one to search for when the train's running! SL. TFTC.
Easy find late in the day after a drive by the day before decided the wrong time to tackle it! Nice park, interesting sculpting of old tree trunks.
Neat spot on a nice sunny day. We would never have come here if not for this cache. Loved the paintbrush and palette sculpture. Took lots of pics. TNLN. TFTC.
Never would've found this without looking for geocaches that day. our GPS entry was out but we stumbled upon it. Took = Blue super ball. Placed = Daffodil - Dangad999
Tricky one to get out in secret when the trains are zooming past. We had a few rides round until we had inhaled enough smoke, and had a great time. Would not have thought to come here before this - thanks for the cache!

Found very discreetly amongst the million muggles mingling around on a hot summers day.

Hard to be secretive here. Got mildly distracted by the awesome paintbrush wood carvings, wish I had a camera.

Turned up to find the train running an tents and vendors everywhere. Tried to be discrete but found it impossible as it is in full view of everything - including a sausage sizzle just 5m away so decided to leave it for another vist.
Heh - I imagine this could be quite difficult during the day, but it was not to difficult after dark with a torch Cheers Gav [2430]
What a good hide, in a lovely place. Visited wtih 3 grandkids, Granny, and Mum. Thank you Rick.
We were all looking, but Granny found it, in a place we had already "looked". She said that she had a more proper "Girl's Look". It was our first time to the gardens. We will come back again when the train is running. We left a TB in the cache. Thank you, Rick.
I too looked but did not find it. I'm sure I was in the right place. Maybe next time!
We were there today, sorry we didnt find it. We think we were in the right place but it was empty, no container.
Little Fuddley's enjoyed the play ground. Trains weren't running today, no one around this early. Cache needs a new log book. Dropped off Java junkies Geocoin. TFTC
Hi Rick!!
Great spot, can someone drop some paper(logsheet) in here please, we only had toilet paper on us!!

What a great asset. Today I discovered that this area has so many gullies and hills. Never really noticed before.
This was the place for Duncan TB to be left, as he wants to visit narrow guage railways.

1st one for the day. No trains running today (Monday) so not probs with the muggles. Cute spot but Junior would ave loved to see the trains running. TNLNSL, thanks for the cache - Team Vainui from OZ.
Dropped in NZ Trekking geocoin to record its journey and Ellie the Elephant TB who accompanied us on part of our NZ holiday.
Nice easy find while in NZ on a driving holiday with our elderly parents. TFTC - took geocoin and left Bad Mojo Geocoin.

Our very first find ever
Santa left a Garmin Zumo 550 under the tree for me this year so we decided to use it to try for a Cache.
This cache was chosen as it is listed as easy and we know the area quite good.
My wife and I were married on top of the hill here in March 2001. Uncle Bill is a founding memeber of the steam railway and arranged for steam trains to transport our wedding guests from the car park to the ceremoney site and back again. This is an awesome venue for everyone.
The gps took us within 3 meters of the cache and the clue did the rest. Took less than a minute to locate the find with this clue.
We signed your book and decided to try for another cache up the Maraetotora valley.
Thanks alot for placing this cache here.
Cheers

Went back and found it today. Our first cache ever. It will need a new logbook very soon.
Found with help from the Gilberts, private function on so couldn't have a train ride. Many thanks to Shaun, Hamish and Mark.

Found as one of a series of caches visited during a very enjoyable multi-day Hawkes Bay cachexpedition. Team cacher Sweet P in on the action too!
No one else about to disturb our endeavours. We located the cache with ease. All was in order here and cache rehidden as found.
Augustus McCray was along for the visit and we retrieved TB Felton Road, otherwise TNLN. We signed the log.
TFTC - we loved the artistic statues crafted from the trees.
The Turtle strikes again!

Riding shotgun with the inimitable XenaCommander .. we were on a cache maintenance visit to the Cold Duck Cache at Waipawa.... just a wee 1,000km day trip. It was also a test to see if snoozy TK could stay awake ... not nod off and topple off Xena on such a long journey. We are preparing for a long distance rally in the new year ... Invercargill to Kaitaia with the Rusty Nuts MC. TK passed the test and had a great trip. Loved the wooden sculptures near GZ

Riding back to Auckland on Xena with TechnoKitten riding shotgun... A nice day trip to do some cache maintenance. Riding back I saw this come up on the GPSr Map.. oooh.. a quick stop.. No trains running today and not many muggles TK found... I swapped TB's and TK signed the log.

Too many Muggles around for this one. Had fun riding on the trains. Went on a train with 4 engines and 17 carriges!!!
great spot to visit and walk around, train not running today so will visit again another sunday, left geocoin
Special trip to see the geocoin. Muggles everywhere, trains busy, no hope of reaching cache without being seen. Trotted off to find Trolls Treasure and returned after closing time, not a soul around. Swapped geocoin for TB.

Nice easy find today, park was deserted, very different to my last visit. And it was exactly where I thought it was, so frustrating to be so near but yet so far due to muggle hordes last time.

Was a pretty nice day to head to the gardens.. didn't get to walk around them and explore as planned, just headed to the cache site, found the cache quickly, then waited for a suspicious looking mountain biker to stop staring at us and disappear before putting it back. TNLN. thanks!
Interesting comment by Birders because I wish I had visited when the trains weren't running. On a hot Sunday afternoon there were people everywhere, I stood within a metre of the cache probably but quickly realised there was no way I could do a search. Will try another day.
Another great cache found during our holiday from the UK. Wish we could be here when the trains are running... Thanks very much for the cache.

Beautiful day for a visit to the park. Found the cache in good order. Left a US penny, took nothing. The paint brushes are a great addition.
This was the most muggled spot encountered to date as we visited on a Sunday when the trains were running as well as the local playcentre having a family picnic day based near the cache!
Found OK while trying to look inconspicuous???
Sat on a distant park bench to log etc then repeated the exercise to replant.
Removed TB to other sights.
Thanks, great spot we would otherwise have been ignorant of.

0Paco0 & Red found it.
Third time lucky. Too may muggles last times. Good - at least we've seen the three paintbrushes developing!
OUT: sunglasses to make way for
IN: Richie Richmond, a lovely little house-trained teddy with his own back-pack, who is from overseas. He is collecting coins while looking for Richmond family members. We found that he's not very fussy and will go home with just anybody, though.
He's a bit of a tight squeeze in the cache, so we hope somebody will liberate him before he does a jack-in-the-box!

An easy find for our first attempt at geocaching. Great fun and look for to finding more soon
Although we have visited Havelock North many times we did not know about this park. An interesting place and very peaceful as the railway was not operating. Thanks! TNLN
Found cache with no difficulty. A very interesting place to have a cache and I will return on a suitable day to take advantage of the facilities provided. TFTC!
Easy find. Nothing in, nothing out. The paintbrush tree sculpture things are so cool! Thank you.
On our Travel through NZ we found this nice cache. Greetings from two Swiss cachers.
I've searched for this one before (without success) so this time I enlisted the help of 10 and 13 year olds!

Did this as a family 'advebture' on Boxing Day. Had 3 GPS receivers at out disposal so split into teams and let the younger family members guide us in. Good fun for young and old!
What a lovely spot & the new tree carvings being done are looking great. TFTC
Had to be very sneaky about finding this one as there were two council workers working in the playground.
TNLNSL.
Cheers for the cache.

What a lovely spot, pity our kids are too old now as they would have enjoyed this when they were younger. Found easily once the ladies walking their dogs/talking decided to move on!
This was our 7th and last find for the day in sunny HB. (More tomorrow!) TFTC, TNLNSL.

Wonderful day. Had a picnic in the sun. Great find. After having lunch found the cache then just a bit to lazy to move. A few people about walking dogs but not problems.

At least this cache was dry, but then when we looked upwards, see it is covered overhead by the concrete holding the railway lines. Was an easy find as we were becoming used to looking for the familiar container associated with it's owner. A nice peaceful spot with no trains on this Sunday. TNLN
An easy find, there was no-one around, the railway was closed, it wasn't Full Steam Ahead today! There was just the two of us, and a man with his dog passing by. Lovely and quiet place to sit in the sun while we logged our entry in the book. Had a quick look around the Station from the overhead bridge, very interesting.

Went today and found this cache quite easily. First time with GPS also helps. Went with family and including 4 toddler who loved it. Did not take or add anything to the cache. Nice walk.
No trains running. Very few people around but one muggle watching the scene from the carpark.
2.45pm. After a spell shopping we continued our caching on this nice winters day. This one proved to be a bit of a search but as so often is the case it was pretty much where it was said to be. Luckily it was not a train ride day and virtually no one around.
The TB wasn't there. According to the log it was removed on 19/5/06 - this may relate to the 11/5/06 entry.
+ Thought it appropriate to leave a little green wind up steam engine toy; and also a pearl necklace. Took nothing.

Luckily (?) it was pouring so we were the only ones there - too wet even for the trains which should have been running today. Great spot for a cache, especially since we could get shelter right at the spot! TNLN
Another one of those marvellous spots that we would never have found if it wasn't for geocaching. Will have to come back one day when the trains are running.
