(2 of 4 today - including 2 Adventure Labs)Headed south for dinner with friends, but on the way I was looking to stop for a few caches. I was hoping for three, but after taking longer than anticipated to find the second, wasn't sure I could make it there and back in time. So bailed and only got two. Mind you, I then saw the recent Adventure Lab starting at Symbio Wildlife Park. I can get both locations of that! And I was 10 minutes late, max, and I was still the last to arrive. Typical!###END OF CUT AND PASTE SECTION###When I was here a few months ago, I'd had time to find the waypoints, but not GZ. So today I had the info to go straight there. So I did!Not quite what I expected at GZ. Assumed one area, but the coordinates didn't like it. But over there, on the other hand...So started the search, and of course I started in the wrong spot and then went further afield. After a bit of searching I spotted what looked like a SPOR. But when I got there I couldn't see any cache. Had it been stolen?Kept searching, and as I came back to that SPOR from another direction a possible hidey hole caught my eye. Well I didn't spot that earlier.Checking it resulted in my finding the prize - all safe and sound and in excellent condition for such an old cache.Added my name to the scroll of the victorious. Then replaced, noting the TB but leaving it for the next finder. I think I've discovered it before. Then checked the time. Hmmm. Not as much left as I needed. So back to *The Hademobile* and off to an AL.A favourite for both the adventure and the age of this one.SLTNLNTFTC###START OF ADVENTUE LAB SECTION###Seeing I had no AL finds on this calendar day, I thought grabbing one or two would round off my time nicely. Glad I remembered by Monopoly details - made this a lot easier. I snaffled:*Symbio Wildlife Park*Sea Cliff BridgeTime for dinner.
This has been a long effort and slog over several years to get this. I believe I first started it in 2017. It took 4 or 5 visits here to get to the 3rd and final stage, with WP2 being by far the hardest spot. Today is the day where finally I can walk to GZ. Have thoroughly enjoyed the challenge of having a multi in this beautiful part of the world near where I grew up. TFTC
This one has been on our to-do list for a long time - not least because we needed to complete it in order to be able to complete Wazza9's challenge cache of collecting a cache in every Sutherland Shire suburb, and this is the only cache in the suburb of Woronora Dam (yes we were surprised to find out it's a suburb too but it was formally made a suburb in January 2008)! With access to WP1 having been impossible for a couple of years and still closed despite promises from the government to the contrary, we decided not to risk the extraordinarily high fine, but instead PAF for the information from WP1. We have had that in hand for a few weeks now but today lined up nicely with a need to get a trail run in and the opportunity to head to where we had calculated WP2 to be. Found the nicely hidden container after a relatively short search up, down and up again and then trotted off to GZ for the find. Cache is in excellent condition particularly given the age - we really enjoyed this one, made even sweeter by the amount of time we've been contemplating it!! Dropped off a shark TB which seemed appropriate even if not quite the beach!
This has to be my longest attempted cache so far. Found WP1 about 7 years ago. Came back about 5 years ago for WP2, really struggled and couldn't find it. Now today I came back for WP2 again and also struggled, even though I had narrowed it down from previous logs as being up the top. Searched this second time for about an hour and finally made the find. I cannot believe I didn't look there earlier. Will be back again for a fourth time for WP3 very soon to walk the further distance to GZ.
Quite the adventure! This cache was the main objective of the afternoon for the others and though I've many more multis ahead of me I'm very glad I came along.
The dam itself is well worth a visit and we had a great walk down to WP1 and back. Topics of conversation included the width of the Brewmobile (is it called that? It should be.), the similarity of landscaping and architecture at Sydney dam sites, and the fact that neither scientists or maths teachers should be expected to do maths on a weekend.
WP2 took us a while but with a landscape and views like that no-one was too annoyed, except perhaps The Bebes who had already looked there before finding the container on the second pass.
Another terrific walk got us to WP3 where we learnt it pays to keep an eye on all the information sources and not jump to conclusions. However, once we'd gotten all of our poles right there was just a bit of scrambling before The Bebes found the second container. We removed a few batteries which were probably much less leaky when they were left, and used some equally expired movie vouchers to mop up the spill. The whole lot went in my pocket, good thing I had an empty chocolate bar wrapper to hold them.
The afternoon was declared a success and we returned to the car. Brewmaker very kindly dropped The Bebes and I off at Sutherland Station which definitely saves some time over the trip from Waterfall Station. Thus ends a truly great caching day for me.

My last surviving multi in The Shire to find. Last time I was going to attempt it, the road in was locked due to asbestos in the area. Now that it is all clear, we made our way to the dam after attending the CCE at Kingfisher Pools.
It has been a long time since I have been here and it was an enjoyable walk along the dam and the other WPs. Our group of four soon found WP2, and after finally spotting the correct "pole" we made a quick find of this old cache. All good with the contents inside, apart from the leaking batteries we removed, that someone though was good SWAG. Finally I can tick it off my list. Good views at each WP. TFTC

I’ve had my eye on this one for ages and today was the day.
Gathered the numbers and off we want to a lovely WP2 with cracking views.
After a short while of scrambling we had what we needed.
On then to GZ and CIH

After about a year of waiting for the dam to reopen, I drove past it on the way home from soccer and I noticed the dam is now open on the weekends. So with a little bit of time to kill, I popped a u turn and made my way to the end of the dam. It was a sunny day which makes for good caching weather. After a walk of the dam wall we got the numbers we needed and headed off for wp2. Upon arrival at wp2, I went low and moom3 went high, after some scrambling she came up with the goods. Onto waypoint 3, upon arrival we calculated the 10m and stopped upon a good looking spot and we peeked in and there was the cache! We signed the log, TNLN, thank you!
A beautiful drive/ walk down to GZ from way point one with mrwhiskers76. The views along they way were great! Cache it’s self is in good condition, it was nice reading all of the old logs in the log book. We left a long log in the book too. A great way to get away from all of the drama amidst COVID-19. Thank you

As Brewmaker has pointed out, Woronora Dam is closed for the foreseeable future.

"It is likely that the dam will remain closed for several months"
As a result, WP1 (and presumably GZ) are not accessible to the public.

Access to the dam is blocked. So attempting this multi is not possible for now. I didn't want to spend a $44000 fine on a cache! Here is a [link](https://www.waternsw.com.au/supply/visit/woronora-dam) to some info
In the area today, noticed I hadn't found this one, off to the start, the dam is low, got the information required, then off the the next WP, after a short search located what I was looking for, then off to GZ, quick find, signed log and replaced. Thanks to Team SAWG.
Found during the Geocaching Australia GeoSportz2018 game. TFTC!
I’ve tried to find WP2 before but had no luck. This time I was braver and went up the pile of rocks and found the container, luckily the sheet of paper was not yet bleached by the sun. After that a short walk and I found the tower. Then the search there west and north and all other directions until I found the cave. TFTC!

Found what I thought was wp1 before setting off for wp2. With the gps pointing 250m off into the bush from the track I was on, and no sign of any other tracks in the area, I gave up my search. I will have to double check coords and try again when I get a better idea
Having done the first part of this, and not having the time back then to finish, an opportunity to go for a walk with a canary in the rain today. We set off from the group, a light rain that came and went as we worked our way to WP2, took us a while and ended up being much easier than we had expected.
On our way to WP3, Mr Canary spotted it while I pottered a bit further than required. We both came back wet, sweating and dirty. What a fun little adventure today.

No one seemed keen to do this today so I went and got WP1 and went back to the Event.
Finally I talk Webby into joining me in a walk and talk.
The view was lovely at WP2 but the container was elusive as we tried to make this harder than it was!?!
From here it was a short walk to WP3 and the offset GZ.
A lovely part of the world!!!

No luck today, I got stuck at WP2 like everybody else was. Maybe next year again when the next birthday party is
On the spur of the moment, after finishing parkrun at Menai, I decided to give wpt2 another crack after coming across some further information. I wasn't confident but thought it was worth another look. This time with out the bike, but the bike sure would have made it faster in parts.
Anyway, there I was looking over the same ground as yesterday. Nope, nope , nope I just can't see that extra bit of info. Ready to give up, I turned around and thought, hey what's that, didn't see that yesterday. With glee in my eye, I ambled over and held my breathe.... as I revealed the location of wpt 2. OMG..... that took all of 5 minutes....... I must have stood right next to that spot yesterday. No dodgy coords either. The coords were spot on. I had 2m. Should have just listened to the gps and not referred to past logs. Wow... I sat there for a while in disbelief. With GZ loaded in the gps off I went. That didn't take too long and soon found another great location for a cache hide. Unfortunately, I found it floating in a pool of water and dreaded opening it. Wow, bone dry in side. I guess this has happened numerous times and this 12 year old cache has survived. I enjoyed the already hot sunshine while I read the log book. There was a point in time that people actually wrote great things but since about 2011, cachers no longer write anything and only leave a date and a name. What a shame. I returned the cache and headed back from where I came...... very happy..... I had my caching mojo back.

Wpt 1 wasn't too hard to find but I found the coords to be out by 13m. With the coords for wpt 2 I headed off on my bike. Spent hours looking for this and came up empty handed. I wondered how far out these coords were. Wpt check would be great seeing the last few cachers also came up empty handed.
Found WP1 easy enough did the math and headed to WP2 but try as I might I had no luck finding the next clue. Looked everywhere except where the box was.
Will be back.

A fun cache that took us a while. There was a great view just past waypoint 2 which made the cache worthwhile in itself. Took a while to find the box at waypoint 2 but once we had that the final cache was straight forward. There was a huge hole in a rock near the final cache that you could actually crawl through! Anyway we enjoyed this one so TFTC.
We had worked out what we thought were the co-ords for WP2 but it looked like some serious bush bashing was going to be needed and decided not to persue it for now. So we headed out to find the nearby cache High Point. Success! On our way back we headed up some rocks but a tent/campsite stopped us from staying very long. Then got home and typed in the co-ords for WP2 and discovered we had been practically standing on top of it! Gah! Alas another day......
Having had our search for WP2 disrupted by someone's campsite on our last visit to the area, we were on our way to another cache when we noticed some familiar looking towers. Heading back, we headed over to investigate and soon had this classic cache in hand.

Out caching with Mr D and diverted a while to see if we could locate this one. Mr D was well ahead of me and as I came over the rock I heard him say he had found it. Nice sized cache that I visited a trackable and did the necessary while admiring another great view. TFTC Team SWAG.
Easy find at WP1 then back to WP2.
There is currently someone living rough with his tent literally on my GZ for WP2. Whilst I suspect that the cache location may be slightly closer to the cliff edge, obviously we were not really comfortable searching the area.
Can I suggest that this one be disabled until he has moved on and a cache check can then be carried out?
Cheers

Came down to the area on my second attempt for KC but abandoned (yet again - what's with this weather?!) when the rains came in. So decided to have a go at this multi.
And I really should have read Raindoctor's log ages ago as I realised that I've been over much of the same ol' grounds searching for other caches in the area. Would have saved me a lot of duplicate trips. Still, I now know the area much better as a result
Wonderful to see such a well-stocked cache and all contents in good condition.

Found with geodaughter. Great to visit the dam again. After finding the clue at wp1 we headed off to the location. The walk to wp2 and GZ was really pleasant and great views. Tftc
So last time I was at Woronora Dam I had found a nearby cache but ran out of time to do this multi. If I'd done my research then I would have realized it would have made more sense to do the caches the other way round! In any case today was the day for this cache. We used the geomobile to make this cache a bit easier. The walk to WP2 and GZ was really pleasant and if I'd known how lovely the look outs were to be I would have definitely done this cache earlier. So awesome to go from the Dam itself to two great spots looking out onto the dam. Anyway. Hope my description isn't a spoiler and other people enjoy this cache as much as I did!
Long and hot walk to find this one but worth it. Felt like heading down to the dam for a cool swim on the walk bak though!
Found this geocache a few years ago, but at the time I wasn't logging National Parks geocaches. Now that we have it all sorted, I had no reservations logging this as a find. It was a little further than I remember, but thankfully I had the coordinates on this website (from my previous visit). It took a bit of searching, but Damo. came up with the good.
Why is it that every time I go bushwalking in the Heathcote region thunder and rain appear halfway to my destination?
Regardless I found the Dam Cache. I had visited WP1 a few weeks ago, and have only now come back to finish the find. WP2 was found easily enough. The toughest bit was deciding whether to continue on with the angry gods booming above me.
Choice made i continued on and found the cache.
I left my first Pathtag for the next finder, and turned back to my car. Managing to only get a few spits of rain before leaving the area.
Thanks for the adventure.

Funny how it doesn't seem that long ago we down this way getting some caching done. It is quite a drive. With good coordinates for each of the steps of the Multi we were soon on our way to GZ, but we should have brought a compass along rather than trying to rely on the direction of the sun.
All good with the cache. TNLN
Did bring through Dinosaur Jr TB for a look.

1320 GAFF1 Quite a nice warm day for a bit of a walk through the bush. Found the waypoints (fairly) easily. But my direction was a bit out at GZ, and it took MVMB to find the cache. Well protected.
Good coordinates for the post, so left a Correct Site Marker - surgical marking pen.
Grabbed a path tag left by National Steel.
Brought through for mileage: 12-12-12 Event, 3 Bros NSW, Auckland NZ'13, B 2 B Travel ingot, Iconic Bridges 2012, cache critters Baa, Neigh Neddy, and Oink, NZ Mega 2013 GCookie Coin, Travel Bug Racer 80s Corvette, and trackable shirts.

Found with National Steel and Redomond Barry. Not an easy find, but rereading logs and following the detail NS nailed it. I think Nelson Mandella's never give up sirit helped today. TFTC.
Noticed this long-unfound cache recently and decided to come for a bushwalk and try for it today with Daibokux and Redmond Barry. Started at the first published coords, did the calculations for WP2 but wasn't sure how best to approach it. We walked to the far side of the dam but it's all fenced off with signs making it very clear that that is not the right way. So we walked back and worked our way up and around looking for paths and still couldn't find anything. Why does the sign say "walking paths" when there aren't any? Anyway, we resorted to plan B and ended up driving to not far from WP2. Probably just as well really, as it was stinking hot today, 32C reported by the car while driving around, so even the short bush-bash to WP2 was fairly taxing. We poked around the rocks for a while before Redmond Barry spotted the object in question. We then walked back and had a little rest before striking out for WP3. This was a walk which was far shorter than others we've done but in this heat and the direct sun it was again pretty hard going. Really feeling the heat now we scrabbled around WP3 for probably nearly half an hour - I'm not sure about "10M North" because I've never been that confident about compass directions on GeoWidgets. Eventually I read some old logs in detail and the words "when viewed from below" and "long arms to grab it" had me changing tack. Much to my relief this new approach had me spotting the container in only a couple more minutes. All is in good condition. Log duties performed and a pathtag left to encourage the next finder, we made the equally arduous trek back to the car and sat in the aircon recovering for a few minutes. It's a testament to how bushed we were, that we couldn't even face the relatively short walk to another cache nearby! Fortunately on the way home we spotted the gelato available at the lookout above Bulli Pass which cooled us down nicely while we admired the view. All up a great day although quite challenging in the heat, and 20 months added to my own "forgotten years" tally. TFTC!

TFTC, Completed the Pathway series at Bundeena and drove a loop through the Royal National Park to see where else we could visit. Had the co-ordinates in the GPS for the now archived Trick or Treat and found it. Now to complete some of those around Woronora Dam. We visited with trackables out and about enjoying the sun and a trip to some special locations. This is a great Multi providing some special views of the Dam from a distance. There are however a few difficult spots. I found the co-ordinates were out 7M at WP2 and was about to give up when I had a last look around from a distance and observed a rock on it's side instead of lying flat. At GZ, I moved the Cache container about 200mm to the right when observed from below because it was sitting in a pool of water and was located where a waterfall had been falling on top of it.
Last week we visited the dam, got the co-ords for WP2, found WP2 fairly easily and got the co-ords for WP3 but decided to come back another day thinking that this cache would be a time challenge.........it`s not if you do your homework & check the map & have a look at where the trails go. While near WP2 I realised another cache "High point" was just a few hundred metres away so dashed up the hill & found the cache, also found another cache "Esio trot" just off the dam access road on the way back to the old princes hwy but today was the day to "grab the cache" so off I went, up the hill, followed the track almost to WP3......GZ, quite proud to have found it so easily too, wished i`d continued to WP3 last week, but I digress, at GZ the pole was just so very obvious & the description said look approximately 10 metres north of the pole, this is where things went "downhill" not downhill literally but downhill personally because I put too much confidence in the grip that I thought my U beaut shoes had, slipped on a rock & ended up falling backwards onto my back, leg, thigh & just about any other body part that I possess........OUCH. Spent the next 5 minutes licking my wounds & checking that I could still walk, talk & cache! Looks like I had bruised my spine and scratched numerous bits of my body but I still had 2 legs & a heartbeat so I wandered off a bit more carefully & slowly, "thought like a cacher" and saw the cache from some distance......you`ve just gotta` be in the right spot to see the cache.....it`s a good hide. Cache is in good nick, enjoyed looking through the old logs, signed our visit, popped the cache back in place. Had brought some TB`S but decided not to leave any due to this cache not being found very often which is a pity as this cache really wasn`t that hard & the views along the way are fantastic. Thanks for bringing us here, thoroughly enjoyed it.

Nice mission. I completed it over two days. Got the required info for the final leg yesterday, but kids were getting restless so I left it for today. Wonderful landscape around here. Nice easy terrain. I rescued The Lion Dog GC which has been in there for over a Year. Pity more people don't do this multi as it is quite easy. TFTC.
We're regular visitors to the dam, but haven't done much walking in the surrounding area, so this was a great cache to do. Beautiful views from both WP2 and GZ. Left honker and the Lion dog geocoin, took nothing. TFTC.
mr and mrs bloopy had never visited the dam before so today was our lucky day. a miscalculation at wp1 nearly had us jogging off 2km in the wrong direction but a barbed wire fence made us go back and reconsider the folly of our ways. we had some rain interference that nearly made us consider coming back and finishing another day but we persisted, survived the storm and grabbed wp2 after reading pip and robbie's log - we were down too low as well but then eureka! a pleasant enough walk with the rain dying away led us past what must be the earliest or latest wattle of the season to the bounty. mrs bloopy actually spotted the "it" this time although it did take mr bloopy's longer arms to grab it. left some sunglasses. took a sewing kit. then a wet wander back to the car and home for a hot shower. cheers for the adventure!
We began this adventure in October 2007 but decided at the time to come back at a later date with the push bikes to complete the task.
Well today was the day.. More than two years later armed with the enthusiasm required we began our assault.
The weather did it’s best to dampen our spirits over and over again. One minute it was hot and sunny and the next minute raining then back hot and sunny again.
Why is it always the way, that you find the way you should have come in, on your way out.
For the benefit of future cachers, don’t follow the river and pipeline up from the dam wall. There IS an EASIER way.
Still a fantastic day had by all and would highly recommended this.cache.
Thanks Team SWAG for the great effort.

This was a fun and interesting hike, with different views of the dam at each waypoint. Spring flowers were in bloom, and the bush literally hummed with the buzzing of bees! Our GPSr insisted WP2 was at the bottom of the cliff, so we spent most of our time looking there, but we eventually found it at the top. The cache was easily found as there's not enough "camo" to completely shield it. Unfortunately there's no extra "camo" available, so we arranged it as well as we could. The cache is in excellent nick. TNLNSL Thank you for the "chase", getting us up close and personal with the dam, and for the nice cache Team SWAG!

On the way out we dropped by the cache back on the road out from the highway, with our car parked on the edge of the road..quickly found that and returned to the car.
Headed down to the Dam, where we have been many times before... grabbed the clue quite easily and noticed a security guard in a white car stationed at the dam. Quick stop for the toilet, and then off to waypoint two.
Drove car back up the access road to the firetrail that seemed to lead in the direction our cachemate was pointing..and also lead to the third cache we were going to do.
Drove up the firetrail till it swung up the hill, and was blocked by the gate northwards..
WP1 quickly found and geokid located the small container.. we dropped off a crystal xmas tree (our calling card) here.
Went up the hill to find the other cache but DNF.. I did lift a rock and see the biggest meanest looking centipede i have seen outside a museum.
With coords in hand for the Dam cache.. we walked to GZ and again geokid found the container. Deposited TB coin. And departed backalong the track to the car.... then things got hairy...
Halfway along the geokid startled a brown snake in the spring sunshine.. out early.. my son didnt run that fast in the school athletic's carnival
The snake slithered across the trail and into the bush.. (so a word to others.. be careful out there, now that warmer weather has arrived)
Arrived back at the car and drove back down the firetrail..
As we rounded the trail to the exit onto the access road.. we discovered a slight problem..
The firetrail boom gate had been locked with a large chain and three padlocks after our entry at some time..
hmm. what to do..
Decided to try and contact water board.. but what number.. ah. use my trusty DOPOD and 3g to access whitepages . com..
But no signal.. (vodafone). I walked to the road.. but still no signal.. decided we needed to go up the road. Returned to my son, waiting in the car.. and passed the padlocks.. noticing a Sydney Water 1800 number on one of the locks.. Excellent!
Se we locked the car.. walked out to the access road and up the hill. about 100m up the hill we got 1 bar on the signal. called the 1800 number and actually spoke to a real person, not a machnine.. Very helpful.. and they contacted the security company..
Aftter several calls back and forth, 2 hours after arriving at the locked gate. we saw the same security guard who was at the Dam, arrive. (he was the one that locked the gate on his way out of Woronora Dam on his way to Avon Dam..where he had to return from.) Nice chap, and no hard feelings..He had also seen our car earlier parked on the side of the road.. when we did the first cache..
All in all a great hunt and a little adventure to boot!
But we warned, fellow cache hunters that if the gate is not locked when you arrive.. it may be when you leave,, so best to leave car at the access road..and walk or ride in.
I did show him that there we no signs at all on the gate, on the road.. saying that you couldn't drive up the road. In fact the white sign right next to the track,, which apparently is talking about the Dam, is placed as if it is giving the hours for the track to be open..
Left spinner coin.

WP 1 was easy and I did the right maths. WP2 was something completely different. Found GZ for WP2 quit fast but wasn't able to find the container. After half an hour search I gave up and headed for the what I thought obvious "tower" . Search around there for a while and yes, I found the cache!! No, I didn't, it appears to be another cache, how lucky can you be!! Went back to WP2 and after 5 minutes I was lucky this time and headed of to GZ. No problems there!.

I came out this way during the week with Bushy2233 to find the Dopey? Cache. He showed me where WP2 was, I grabbed the coordinates and back I came today. We did see three Brown Snakes at WP2, so be careful. The weather is great, perfect day for a walk in the bush, I parked the car and walked to GZ. Nice easy find, Thanks
Came with Goonieroos to come to this point. Like others failed at WP2 but had read other logs and off we went to GZ. Once there after a short search Goonieroos had the cache in hand one again. SL and moved on. Thanks Team Swag
Had an extensive search for WP2 without success. Luckily we had the picture to help us and managed to find GZ and locate the cache. TFTC.
i tried this yesterday but failed at WP2. I've ridden the pipeline a few times so I had a fair idea where the GZ was thanks to the photo. Found after a few minutes. Took GC LN TFTC
This was an enjoyable multi and the final location was a lovely spot. We sat an had our lunch there admiring the views and the tranquility.
Took TB & geocoin, left TB & geocoin.

I'd started this one a couple of years ago, and managed to get back to day for another shot at it. I had the dam wall to myself courtesy of the cool weather, and was soon off to WP2. Enjoyed the views found, the WP, and then off to WP3 and the cache.
Left Diver TB and Dutch GC, as well as a couple of Energizer batteries. Took the Silhouette Shooter TB.
thanks for the cache Team SWAG,
best wishes,
Wal

This find was part of an excellent days outing. The photos helped us quite a lot. Apparently we had the staff at the dam concerned as we collected details for WP2. Fortunately for us we couldn't continue off the other end of the wall which made getting to GZ much easier. Swapped a cool geocaching rubber bracelet for a Pluto soft toy and dropped the Silhoette Shooter TB. A very nice walk with lots of wildflowers given the time of year.
As I look back through the logs I notice it was 2005 when I first started this cache. I finally got back here today to finish it off.
It'd been that long that I had to go back to WP2 to grab the coords for GZ again. I then made it easily out to GZ where the cache was in hand quickly. Its still well stocked but made no swaps today. Thanks.

I DNF'ed this quite a while ago and now with another set of eyes, still no luck.
I'll be back yet again.
Great spot.

well this one was fun i got the first two wp's yesterday afternoon just before the gates closed and the rain came down, both were still there and not that hard to find just have a look at the photos. Anyway came back today with my geobike for a quick easy ride down to the pole where the cache was in hands within a few minutes of searching I did the usual stuff, swapped chem-wik (don't know what this is for but looks usefull) for spoon & wrist band then. I then sat back and relaxed & had some breakfast then jumped back on my geobike and rode out of there. Top cache with some nice views you can still see the dam cache thanks team swag.
Unable to locate WP2 today, and running out of time, we retreated before we could be locked in, will return another day for another look. Nice views from the vicinity of WP2, we probably weren't concentrating on the search!
Had no luck finding this one today.Pretty sure we got WP1 right but wandered around aimlessly looking for WP2.Gave up after around 2 hours of searching. But had fun anyway and youngest child trod on a small snake along the way ....that wasnt so much fun...maybe we'll be luckier next time
There was a myriad of muggles in the vicinity of WP1 but fortunately for this sort of WP it doesn’t matter. The water is certainly a long way down at present. After a short drive we headed off for the short stroll to WP2 which has quite nice views in it’s own right. With showers approaching as well as gate closing time we hot footed it off to the cache site where the box was quickly located. After doing the cache duties we beat the showers back to the car.
This was an easy and quite enjoyable multi. We liked all the stages, set as they are in quite an attractive area. We took the comb and packet of tissues, leaving a sewing kit and photos frame. Thanks swag team.

Great spot and view of the Dam from the GZ location.
We will be back.

I gave up on this one during WP2, my Gizmo had me looking in all the wrong spots.
I went and nabbed High Spot, and then decided to come back here for a final look. I found the WP without even turning on my Gizmo
It was then a jog along the trail and in no time at all I had the cache!

Twi$tie$, Fugu and I found this one, we came out to check out the Dam and thought we might grab two caches while we were here.
We did Hight Point on the way in, only to discover we would be heading back that way. WP 1 was intersting, WP2 has us stumped so we went for a drive. Came back and had another go, found it and realised we had previously driven past it while venting our frustration.
GZ is very pretty and its a great spot for a cache, nicely done.
Thanks

WP1 found without to much trouble. Became stuck at WP2 and had to leave it for another day. Came back today with photo clue and to our relief found the co-ords for WP3. With the clues we made a bee line for GZ and the Dam Cache.
Thanks Team SWAG
Took tape measure. Left tissue holder.

Dam Dam Dam a WIP cache. Found wp2 but with mini rat kicking up a stink we had to give this one up till next time. Thanks to both Swags for your help
Second dam time in the area...don't know how I missed it the first dam time. Dam easy to find at the right dam distance in the right dam direction from that nothing to do with dam pole. No dam swaps.
Went for this one and stumbled at WP2, great view from this area but I failed to find 2nd set of co-ords. I will return. Dam It!!!! Regards Philma.
what a dam fine way to spend australia day, looking for that "dam cache". the weather was dam fine, it almost dam rained & the views are dam great. best of all we had alot of dam fun, went back to the picnic grounds for a dam fine feed... were off to do more caches befor the days out
Took the family for a picnic lunch at the dam before we all went for a MTB ride to look for the cache. As noted by GEK, the coordinates are a little out, but there can be no mistake made at WP1 & WP3, and the pictures for WP2 & GZ are very useful.
Mrs Wing Nut spotted the “DAM CACHE†from about 5 meters away. (Thanks for the correction of mag heading GEK & Team SWAG.)
We all enjoyed the ride, and magnificent views of the dam.
Took nothing, but left a tape measure.
Thanks Team SWAG

Dam Team SWAG, dam their GPSr, dam their sense of direction and dam this dam cache! Oh, and dam my stupidity for not paying more attention to the photographic clues.
Headed off with excellent satellite reception (7 satellites, <4m accuracy) and a good idea of where I was headed so I expected this to be a doddle. How wrong I was.
WP1 was easy despite my GPSr pointing me to a spot 12m away. Ah well, I thought, I guess that's acceptable seeing as there is only one place it could be. Drove most of the way to WP2 and my suspicions were confirmed - I was headed to a spot I had been to before - the Odlids will know what I mean.
Spent ages at WP2. Foolishly I had forgotten to bring the photographic clues with me but when I found the spot it was a good 15m (horizontally) from where my GPSr said it would be. Ah well, I thought, can't blame team SWAG. They certainly provided enough clues. Perhaps reception today was TOO good.
Trotted off to "the pole" and pulled out my compass to confirm a Westerly heading. Walked 10m and started looking. To cut a long story short I think Team SWAG must have not had a compass when they planted this cache because the actual location is anything but West of the pole. Once again I guess the photos would have helped.
And to rub salt into the wound, the movie vouchers that Tangles left have now expired.
Despite all this I had fun on this dam excellent cache. Left an Orc, took a carabiner.

We refuse to use the words Dam Cache in this log as we have already used all the best dam cache jokes on another dam cache out Lithgow way. So there is absolutely nothing you can do to make us use the words Dam Cache.
Could have had more fun writing about a girl and a Knob.
Took Electrical tape (the bike tube had the wrong valve type)
Left a couple of movie tickets.
