Logs
As there's been either no response from the cache owner, no cache to find or log to sign, or it's been a number of months since the last owner note. I'm archiving it to keep it from continually showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements. If you wish to repair/replace/make available the cache sometime in the near future (next 30 days), just contact us (by email), and assuming it meets the current guidelines, we'll be happy to unarchive it. Should you replace the cache after 30 days has passed please create a new cache listing so it can be reviewed as a new cache.
Up early after an overnight stay in Yass in the back of my car. Slept surprisingly well! Soon in caching mode to clean up Yass. Was fairly successfull and only a few DNF/ not there. Love all the new caches around, thanks for placing them. Called it enough when the rain started to set in again towards lunch.

This cache is in extreme need of repair. Numerous cachers have noted it needs maintenance with no reply from cache owner. The log is wet and mouldy, everything is dirty and smells. This needs to be repaired or archived.
The cache appears to be in need of owner intervention.
I am temporarily disabling it, to give the owner an opportunity to check on the cache, and take whatever action is necessary.
Please respond to this situation in a timely manner (i.e., within 28 days) to prevent the cache from being archived for non-responsiveness.
If you require more time please be sure to post a note (not an email) explaining the situation and how much more time you require.
For ongoing issues please ensure you visit the page and post a note every 28 days to keep everyone up to date or the cache will be treated as an abandoned cache and archived without further notice.

Not a terrain 1.5 but got in and got out without any issues. As mentioned, container could use replacing.

Smashed my way through the long grass in case of slithering beasties lurking about. weroamin got to it first, no 9 for the days caching. TFTC.
Long grass and thongs are not a good combination, especially in snake country; but alas, the cache was soon in hand, and I retreated un-killed from the area. TFTC
Found with geo friend Bluewattle on our caching weekend in the Yass district, TFTC.
In very poor condition, log book was moudly, smelly and the container needs replacing.
Found with Snickersallan on our second caching day in Yass and districts

This cache needs some TLC as the container is broken and needs to be replaced.
Last day of our Christmas caching blitz of Wagga and Yass. Good to be able to grab a few more on the run home. Tftc
Visiting Yass from Canberra with The_Banker, Sergio and Sae. 2nd find of 16 for the day. Found quickly after a short walk across the long dry grass while avoiding the bullants. Container is abit broken. Thanks Achmed.
We are on a road trip heading to the ACT. After parking the caravan at the Yass caravan park we headed out to find as many caches as we could in the time we had. Yass is certainly a delightful town, we did not expect it to have such a country feel which we really enjoyed. This was one of the caches we targetted and found. [^][^] Thanks to achmed for the effort of placing this cache and for giving us the opportunity of seeing a part of the country we would have not have otherwise seen.
A quick find. I've never seen so many ants!!! Cache needs replacement or death. Tftc
As all the last log says it needs a new box. But found the new log and signed and put back the best I can to help stop the rain getting into it
Thank u
Thank u
Found 8:34 pm. Out for the evening to do daily find and see what others that can be found. Decided to do more of the C2Y and Y2C caches and some extras. Arrived near to GZ and it didn't take too long to find the cache. When i grabbed it though items tumbled out due to the hole in the container. I grabbed the TB. When replacing I tried to wrap the plastic bag better. Thanks for the cache.
My three month Brisbane adventure has started. Day 1, Canberra to Cowra.
My new 4WD is loaded with my mountain bike, my GeoSchnauzers, my geocaching kit, and a few other things the dogs and I might need while we're away. We got away bright and early today, at midday, after breakfast at the local coffee shop, and after waiting for the house to empty so I could lock up properly.
No 9 of 16 today. Thanks, achmed. Thanks for the history lesson. The GeoSchnauzers and I pushed thru the roadside cereal crop to get theis one. Good one!!
One end of the cache container is smashed. I've wrapped the whole thing in a plastic bag (only light, it was all I had on me). This will keep the water out for a month or two.

Wow, I'd forgotten about this one and it didn't come up with a smiley when I searched for a cache around here. Stopped off to drop off Ernie the Eagle, since he doesn't like large cities or busy roads.
The container is broken and badly damaged but is still dry

On the way back to Newberys after a great caching expo. Did over 100 caches with the newberys. TFTC SL. TNLN. It's been a long day.
Easy to find. The box is broken on one side. I replaced the log with a temporary one in a plastic bag. TFTC
Interesting find. urgently needs service. Box is broken. Paper log is waterlogged. Hole in box and lid. Galas probably found it first and chewed it.
Easy find on this little detour. Cache is broken and unfortunately nothing at hand to replace, sorry! TFTC achmed.
Quick find but, as others have noted, the container needs replacing. Couldn't sign but took photo.
Great day out for caching with Everlasting & skyejam - enjoyed this area. Thanks for bringing us here ★★★
Today was a lovely and perfect day for sevabo, Everlasting and myself to find the caches on the way to Yass from Canberra anyway we stopped here and found the cache except no log because the paper was wet and slogged. TFTH.
Hi achmed - the container is very brittle - one end has been broken out. The lid is not waterproof any more. The log is a solid wad of paper - totally useless. I inserted a new page but it will likely get wet too next time it rains. Thanks for maintaining this cache
An east cache to find - container is badly broken an needs replacement. The log is one solid wad of paper - totally unable to separate pages - I inserted a new page - will file a maintenance report. Thanks ached

Northbound on the Hume, then a an easterly turn toward Canberra. How could we resist the call of a cache, particularly one with such an appropriate name! Sadly this cache has seen better days and the log has disappeared, we placed a temporary log, but the cache is in need of a lot of TLC.
TNLN .. . . . SL . . Thanks to achmed for the hunt.

We spent a drizzly morning jumping in & out of the car searching for caches.

On my way back out to Wee Jasper to pick up the abseiling Venturers I dropped off yesterday. Container is in need of some TLC. Quick find. TFTC.
#1509 - 18:35; After grabbing a couple of caches on Mt Ainslie, I headed down the Barton Highway to clear a few more between Canberra and Yass and, with any luck, maybe fill another hole in the D/T matrix too. I made the detour off the highway to pick up a couple in Murrumbateman, then on towards Yass. Picked up a couple after a short detour down a side road, then on towards the town picking this one up along the way. The long grass didn't present as much of a problem as it has been doing of late due to the rain. Once at GZ, the cache was easily located. The log while mouldy was dry at least, although the cache container is broken with a piece mising from one end. CO TLC required. TFTC achmed
A warm, sunny Saturday meant a good geomission was in order . So that meant the geosquad consisting of myself, Rapidlywild and both of the FurfacesLL were assembled to head off for a great days caching around Yass .
Moving right along with the geomission and next stop was this one. FurfacesLL had already found this one many moons ago, so that meant RW and I were on our own for this one. After exiting the geomobile and following the geotrail through the grass to GZ, the cache was found quickly. Like others have mentioned, the cache needs some TLC. As I was signing the now dry log, I did the "ant dance" here for RW's entertainment due to heaps of meat ants that were right under my feet! . So with caching duties quickly completed of we went back to the car!
Thanks for the hide, achmed

Well the geosquad today consisted of both FurfacesLL ladies, specimenX and myself. Todays target: Ladies Attack On Yass !!!!
After a bumpy start, we started our adventures and on the road we went. We had planned to hit as many caches in Yass as possible plus pick up whatever we come across along the travels. Between the 3 of us, we had a range of caches that some had collected and others hadn't so by the end of the day, we had visited all active caches in the Yass region.
Today was a great day, lots of laughs with a great group of people and I definitely look forward to the next mission with the group
As mentioned by alot of other cachers, this container definately needs some CO TLC. There were alot of bullants at this location and I collected alot of grass seeds in the socks here. I also got to witness a VERY amusing "Ant Dance" composed by specimenX, dont think it will win Australias Got Talent, but was very amusing none the less.
Thanks to the CO achmed for this find

This needs major maintenance! The container is broken, the log is damp and all black and we found swaps out of the container on the floor!TFTC though!Found on our road trip while visiting friends!
We had a spare day up our sleeve and thought that a drive out to Yass will be nice.
We made our way our hear and Mr Geo_junkies and Geo Son Snr went to find the cache. The cache was located after some tell tail swaps were on the ground.
The container is broken but log still dry. Geo Son made some swaps and the cache returned.
TFTC achmed.

Found this with Kittykatch on 8/9/13 with other friends for KK's birthday. It seems I missed logging a few from back then and after using project GC have found a way to find the old ones I missed.
Found today on a road trip with my mostly muggles mates. We had a nice lunch in Bowningnand then made our way bak into Yass to do a couple of caches. We checked out Cooma Cottage and then made our way over to do this cache. Lots of ants at GZ had us all jumping up and down haha. TNLN TFTC
I had some spare time this afternoon so decided to do a tour of Yass and district.
I had attempted this cache several months back in the dark with no success.
The container is badly and needs replacement.
Thanks achmed for the hunt and the cache.

The owner needs to replace the cache box as its broken, the lid looks like it has been chewed by rodents, and the contents were all wet like other people reported.
The log was damp, not soaking wet, the bag done its job well.
Wont last much longer in this state......

Found today, I have driven past it many many times so today was the day. Thank you...
2337. Found with Stev87. We parked on the back road and made our way down the slope for a quick find. It could certainly do with some TLC. TFTC.

No kids today so G & Senior S headed out for a drive in the direction of unfound caches..
Lots of either kangaroo trails or caching trails heading towards this one.

As we drove past this cache on our way into Yass the rain was pouring down. We stopped, considered retrieving this and then decided lunch was a better option. We found this cache on our way home instead. It is broken and full of water. Needs attention. TFTC.
Found on a day of caching in and around Yass. I tipped water out of the broken cache. Needs owner attention. TFTC.
We were delighted to learn more of the history of this man. The house was unfortunately closed, however we did drive down to look at it and take some photos. I love caching for this reason. Thanks.
We found this one as part of our long daily cache streak at 00:20! After heading out here on a clear crisp moon filled night to grab a couple of new caches we picked this one up on the way home. Walking through the frost chilled grass is always so refreshing! Quick find at GZ with the logbook a little on the damp side but still signable. Thanks for a nice little detour tonight and a bit of a refreshing wake up
We spent the night in Yass on our slow journey southward so that we could pick up these local caches before leaving.
We pulled up here with plenty of safe parking and followed what looked like an obvious geo trail but it turned out that it wasn't so we had a bit of a walk in the long grass that was quite wet this morning after the rain and the GPSr led us directly to gz where the cache was found in the second place we looked. It looks like an animal has taken a fancy to the container and chewed a dew holes in the lid but the contents were still ok today. It was quite interesting about Cooma Cottage where Hamilton Hume lived out his days and we didn't realise that we would be visiting his final resting place later today.
Thanks achmed for the cache

It took a few minutes to find it, because I was looking at the grass and wasn't there.TFTC.TNLN
Loved the container. Did not know you could still get these. Left a star to shine. TFTC
Tough at the start, but if you find a prickly pear, you're heading in the right direction.
Out on a Yass-wards caching run with BatgirlandCo.
Nice find, even though we took the less-sensible route through the long grass.
Loads of butterflies around to make it that little more scenic.
TFTC!

A nice Sunday drive in the country with Doppelfrog and a chance to get out of town today. Tops day for it too after such an amazingly hellish week. Thank goodness for caching to bring back some sanity. We arrived on the outskirts of Yass in peak butterfly hatching season I think. There was easily a hundred around GZ which made the approach through the long grass less arduous. Nice spot - saw the much-commented-upon cactus too...it seems somewhat out of place.
Hurray. On our third attempt we found. We dropped off a Trackable. Sometimes helps to try a new vantage point. Pen had run dry so may need replacing.
We searched all around but no luck. Found the cactus but no cache. The police however were really interested in what we were doing.
Found on our BIG Little Event trip. After a fast dash through the long grass to GZ, the cache was found after a bit of searching. Good hide. There is a small cactus growing nearby - amazing! The container is cracked in some spots. TNLN. TFTC!
Christmas holidays, not working, family catchups long overdue, food enough for a small country, summer weather .... and seventy found caches. What a perfect week.
Destination Canberra! Today is all about the journey from Narrandera to Canberra. With Mrs Prime still in control of the temporary GEOMobile and yours truly in charge of getting us well and truly lost, we are now finished the Yass section of the trip. I came here a few times as a kid, and have driven through without stopping many times - of course these days the drive-through is a real drive-by, so Yass is a sleepier town than I recalled.
The road out of town was quiet too. Pulled up here and in the gathering dusk Mrs Prime asked the age-old silly question ... "Are you really going to go in there?". Off I went making noise so resident snakes can vamoose first, and as I broke through the undergrowth to the pine trees I was pleased I had. Well, of course I was always going to, but this is a lovely little spot. Cache quickly found and the business done, and away off back into the grass I went.
Emerging near the car I called "Dr Livingstone I presume?", followed by ten minutes of removing grass and seeds from me[:(!] No sense of humour that wife
Thanks for placing this cache, achmed. Found in good condition.

This was our 7th cache find in the caching run & we found it at: 13:06.
This now makes our total find count 5546
[blue]
Yep, a fairly easy cache to do. Unfortunately it wasn't in great shape when we arrived. It looks like something has been chewing on the lid, and it's not waerproof any more.
[/blue]
Coordinate Accuracy: Excellent (<2m)
Cache Condition: The cache was soaked, so we spent some time drying it out, but it still needs some "Owner TLC"
Took: Nothing
Left: Nothing

Found late afternoon on a detour into Yass on the way to Jugiong. Plenty of peak hour traffic heading past as I took the geotrail in from the intersection and headed straight to GZ. Plenty of water in the cache (which I drained out) but remarkably the log book was dry. Dipped a coin through. Many thanks achmed.
The Geo wife and daughter decided to do this one while I guarded the car. Nice easy find by all accounts. Thanks for the cache achmed
I've been wanting to log this cache for quite a long time - honoring the final home of one of Australia's greatest.
On our way home south from Canberra, we made a quick detour through Yass in order for Geobairn and I to make a roadside stop to grab this one.
The container is badly beaten and leaking. I tipped a lot of water from the container and the logbook is nearly ruined. Please fix it up!
