As there's been no cache to find for months, I'm temporarily archiving this to keep it from continually showing up in search lists. Just contact us when you have the cache repaired, and assuming it still meets the guidelines, we'll be happy to unarchive it.

Glad I did waste my time or the phone calls. Wonderful spot.

Alas it looks like some has taken this one ... not to mention the picnic table as well Surprised

Spent about 30 minutes in the area. My consitent GZ was a couple of metres back from the wall.

Looked and looked in every crannie. Found a couple of used frenchies and an empty syringe (no needle). No cache though.

Might not be there as I confirmed the location with phone a friend or two.

Still I might have been cached out by then.

Pretty impressive spot. Next time I am going to bring some paint.

Did that road feature in Mad Max. I remember something similar.

Found on the the way back from a pleasant weekend on the river, with Gordon Patrick Samuel and Gunnell and Pandaabear trying hard to keep a straight face while we stuffed around trying to get our GPS to settle down. Found it in the end - nice container. Took puzzle, left West End bottle opener ( actually, we prefer Coopers). What a view ! Thanks CAS.

Found easily under second rock I looked under. TNLN.

22-Jan-05

On way to Murray Bridge, soon found area and soon spotted.
Just what I suspected of a CAS cache in this area, but not where I thought it would be.

This was my 100th find.!!!!!

Didn't make my deadline of the end of year but not bad for ten & half months of limited chances/time to look.

Thanks TT & MS

PS dam forgot to get TB

Dropped in on way to family farm to drop off TB Philosopher's Stone and take the Qld Vest. But while I had the cache in hand, a couple of muggles drove up nearby for a rest stop and were in no hurry to move on Sad. In the end we had to take cache with us but we returned it 24hrs later.

Found by Mary & David at 1045. Makes you think of what a great rock garden you could make. Had to wait for a car load of muggles to depart before we couls search in earnest. Loved the views and the camo. Took carabiner, left craft charms and a karma card. Our thanks to C.A.S.

Found this one heading home from Monarto Zoo. Swapped a 1961 Penny for the Parachute Man. Kids couldn't wait to test it from the rocks, so we had to have a few test throws

Last one for the day after a fabulous weekend of camping and caching with a great group of people. TNLN. It was getting dark so we didn't stop to admire the area for long. Thanks CAS.

We were pulling up to look at the view when the I looked at the GPS and to my delight discoveree there was a cache here as well. Then to discover it had the vest that we all signed at dubbo was an added bonus. We left the vest as we were one of the originators.

Only just read the note about the fluro vest - sorry, we could have moved it a bit further north if we'd known! As it was we left it there.
Loved the camo on this cache. TN, left a cat.

When this cache was set up a fluro vest was placed in the container. This is the Beni Trophy Challenge Vest and is meant to be on its way to Brisbane. If you find it please move it on and post an update to http://forum.geocaching.com.au/viewtopic.php?t=1002. Thanks TimTam

A quick check out after sussing out local B&B. Kids found it quickly.Took lamb and electrical tape and left golfball and purple car.

As the previous cachers, we have travelled this road at least a zillion times. It was good to have an excuse to stop and "smell the roses". The camo must get a 12 out of 10!! Left some tissues and had to take the pop sticks cause we couldn't get the lid back on the container!

Thanks for an interesting time

When I was first considering placing my first cache, this is the area I had intended to use . I’ve obviously missed my chance now Smile Having passed along this road about a zillion times back in the 90’s, I was always intrigued by the efforts some people had gone to to cover the rocks in their own personal ‘logs’. I would encourage those approaching from the west to continue the short distance onto Palmer, and you’ll see what I mean. Today was a thoroughly miserable winters day and I had seen it all before Cool Quickly grabbed the cache (great container) retreated to the car and filled in the log. No swaps today. The hardest bit was getting it all to fit back in Big Grin

And the Bronze goes to " SA_ParrotHead ". Had a friend who lived out this way. So it was good to go back. Great hide. Must be a runner for best container award of the year.
Took a clamp left a parachute guy and a puzzle. Signed the vest. Thanks CAS

What can I say?
"I like that boulder...that's a nice boulder." Shrek
Took clamp, left electrical tape.
I have spent many a day clambering over this metamorphic aureole back in the geo-student days.

Clear skies, TeamAstro.
