4 months and no further reports. If the area is made accessible in the future, let me know and I'll assess the cache under the guidelines at that time.

The area is still cordoned off due to building work and is not currently accessible. The actual cache is on public land next to the creek, so we hope to be able to get to it again soon. If the rules say it must be archived at this stage, then it we will do so.

06-Dec-08
Lets fix it up or remove it.

08-Oct-08
Can we get an update or an archive.

18-May-08
This has been on our "to do" list for far too long so we thought we'd take Richary's advice and see what it looks like from using his suggested approach. There is now NO ACCESS from either end of the creek. New fencing has been put up this last week blocking off any approach from Mowbray Road or Eastern Valley Way.

It is true. The bulldozers have arrived and though the cache itself is currently undisturbed, access has been severely hampered by wire fencing. Since original plans call for the actual creek area to be spared, we will watch closely and hopefully re-open the cache in due course.

15-May-08
THe bulldozers and wire fencing were in place when I found it recently, however I had to approach from the NE side off the eastern end of Mowbray Road. While a bit of ducking along the track was involved the cache was still accessible from this direction.

15-May-08
Thanks for the update! May check this out from the east and see how it goes! Regards MRG

14-May-08
I suspect this cache might not exist anymore as the area seems to be a construction site! Could the owner of this cache please check and advise it's current status, thanks, Regards MRG

16-Apr-08
Found on a rainy day without any problem.
Thanks for the cache.
Dice living.

The site is now being advertised, to take out this little piece of urban bushland and fill it with townhouses Sad

08-Mar-08
I don't think that path gets a great deal of use. Arming myself with a trusty stick to get rid of the all the spiderwebs I made my way to GZ where I had no signal. Had to keep on west a bit until a clear spot, then guesstimate where to look. Had it in hand after a short hunt. No swaps, left a TB. Thanks Reigate Squires.

21-Feb-08
I had some more time to kill between jobs today! This was the closest cache on my cacheometer so off I went, a pleasant if not short walk in though the search was a little harder, I found it before long though and a good thing to the mozzy's in here were the worst I have ever indured, I filled in the log and replaced it all as found. No problems with the cache - alls in good condition, after the replacement I legged it out of there as quick as my legs would carry me those mozzy's are killers!
Thanks for the cache TNLN

15-Feb-08
XC on way back to airport to fly home to NZ. Thought it might be an easy pick up but couldn't find entrance... Wasn't dressed for a bush bash so left it..
Thanks anyway.

02-Feb-08
It took me a while to find the way to GZ, but once there it was easy. Nice, hidden spot! Dropped a swaggie, so next person who comes here will hit two caches in one.

19-Jan-08
Only problem here was the rain- some weird guy was reading the paper on a table in the rain but after one sortie in then back again the cache wasn't any trouble to find. It would be interesting to see this part of the paddock developed!

11-Dec-07
An intriguing spot. It's very overgrown in there [:o]
Just the spot for a cache Big Grin
Nice area which needs some revegetation, not more housing [:o]

17-Nov-07
Another area of our neighborhood we haven't seen before. Found easy when coords finally stopped to change. Took a nice wooden child's book and left a "Message transmitter".

10-Nov-07
Easy find!
Took canteen pen and lizard toy,
Left robot and bouncy ball.
TFTC!

What is it about the people who live around here? We walked down the RTA lane and a man poked his head over the fence and said, "Watch out for the mud" and disappeared. All I could see was grass.

Nice easy find though

Took: Snoopy
Left: Tangles

TFTCSL Cool

25-Aug-07
Well placed cache with acurate co~ords made for a quick find.
Cache is in good nic
Made a log entry TNLN TFTC!!!

22-Jun-07
Yes as sspack said the people on the corner are quite crazy. I am a local Dirt Jumper there and have needed to call the police several times.

10-Jun-07
Nice easy cache on a well maintained path. Not the most interesting area in Sydney but a good cache for the kids.

02-Jun-07
The GPS did exactly what it was supposed to and brought us right to the cache.
A nice little track with some interesting notes by the local bushcare group attached to a tree.
TFTC

¿? A curious path.

14-Apr-07
found this one quickly after a nice walk along the creek. Not much of a walking track - be sure to wear long pants - but very nice never the less

Be warned though, we came back along the high track towards our car at the cnr of windsor and mowbray place to be accosted by the resident of the final house/shack in Mowbray place.
"How dare you make our dog bark. I'm calling the police. Go back to your own suburb."
They had a savage sounding dog that barked as you walked along the track.
I left out the expletives - which would make even the toughest sailor blush - that eminated from what appeared to be father and son.
If I wasnt 6'3 I would have been a tad afraid. It was a rather confronting situation. Oh, and if the son wasnt 5 foot nothing, 45kg, and otherwise the spitting image of a white "Mr. T" (yes, Mr T from the A-Team...it was very hard not to laugh out loud!)
Seriously though, take care near here please and avoid this house.

01-Apr-07
Took a while to path the path from the western end. After three attempts we found it. Then searched for the cache, using the clue as the GPSr was no help. Found the cache and then the mozzies. TNLN.

04-Jan-07
Intereting walk along the track to get here, thanks for bringing us here
keener

31-Dec-06
Took a little while to find this one, GPS needed time to settle down with bad sky and trees etc.
Cool

28-Oct-06
We had some major trouble finding an entrance point here. Especially since we mistyped the coordinates in the first place. Once that was fixed, it was an easy find. I wonder if anybody would just do the walk without knowing of the cache. Took clips, left snoopy.

07-Oct-06
Nice spot and walk in. GZ seemed to be home to a multitude of mosquitoes so Arogard could be a good idea before attempting this one.
Took expired coupon and TB, left bouncy ball.

17-Sep-06
Walked down the road to this cache to drop off a TB.

17-Sep-06
Great track, we had no idea this place even existed. Thanks for showing us a great spot, so close to home!

Found it at 11:30 ish am, with my step-sister alice. good cache, i did not know that the paddocks were that big.
took a asian key ring and a forigin coin. Left a Kubuntu linux cd version 6.06 LTS operating system (go to www.ubuntu-linux.org for more info)
coverd the cache with a few leaves as it was quite exposed.
took me about half an hour to find because i was too close to the creek.

02-Sep-06
Approached this one from the wrong side of the creek. Fortunately there was not too much water. Found it after a brief scramble up the bank. TNLN

26-Aug-06
Thank you another small tract of bush/market garden tucked in a corner had passed so many times even played sport for years at northbridge and never ventured through the fence

Thanks Dan. As mentioned above, parts of this site will eventually be developed but we believe the cache zone will remain as public bushland due to its proximity to the creek. We will amend if necessary later.

09-Aug-06
This cache may be under threat.
The Shore school which runs the playing fields next to where the cache is, has a DA in at Council which I believe invloves putting in a 300-place car park on the lower side, where the small public playground and this cache are.
Contact Willoughby Council for more info.

29-Jul-06
Found it. Great Find. Good walk in! Off by 1 meter.

mccardey and The Rabbi found this today - took Brad's Buck's Night patch (wow!! that has to be a one-off!) and left keyring. TFTH

25-Jun-06
Easier than it sould have been because the cache had becoem exposed. Took China note, Left Crocodile, and rehid a little. Thanks Squires.

18-Jun-06
Sixth and final find for the day, nice camouflage on this one.

10-Jun-06
I walked in the easiest way, never knew this existed. Took a while for GPS to settle, then was easly spotted. TNLN

04-Jun-06
Found at 10:46am #7 today
I too found myself on the wrong side of the creek and putting brawn ahead of brain I bashed my way through. Coming that way made the cache easier to spot though. TNLN. TFTC!

28-May-06
Found this one after a bit a scrambling around. I also approached from the wrong side of the creek just to make it a bit harder. TNLNSL

29-Apr-06
caught the train from the city to chatswood and then walked back to the city doing some caches along the way.
I wouldn't recomend its a very long way.
This one was a nice easy fine

27-Apr-06
Nice spot for a cache. I've been past the area lots of times and didn't realise the paddocks were so extensive. Watch out for the crazy bloke who lives next to the lane leading into the back paddocks. He thinks everyone is taking photos of him. I wouldn't let kids go alone.

18-Mar-06
We live nearby but surprised how large paddocks area is. The 10 year old visiting friend backtracked a little for discovery. Deposited flashing boo doll and took farm animals.

18-Mar-06
A nice walk. The GPS was telling us it was closer to the bush edge, so we hunted there a bit before Georgia decided to widen the area, and found it. Very exposed, so we added a bit of vegetation. TNLN, Thanks.

05-Feb-06
Charl and I had to hunt through the trees with a very poor signal reception, however I did find with the hint in mind.
Took: baby seal
Left: a ping-pong ball ("a dirty ping-pong ball; you're so cheap" --Charl) and a RJ phone adaptor.

05-Feb-06
A quick and easy find.

TNLN. Thanks for the cache.

26-Jan-06
No real trouble finding cache, despite foliage cover

24-Jan-06
Found this in company with the friend I was staying with, and her two small children. Had an interesting walk in to GZ, then spent a bit of time searching in a little tracky bit nearby. Thought we were going to have to give up, then found the other tracky bit and voila! - there it was! In plain view, so we left it with a few more twigs and bits of bark etc to camouflage it some more. Littly #1 chose the helicopter, and we left some vouchers and a soap pen. SL. Thanks Reigate Squires.

05-Nov-05
Missed the entrance to the track on the way in and skirted the bush. After passing the cache site we found a track and worked our way back to the cache site. It was fairly easy to find, which may explain the recent vandalism. Left some Mongolian Money (yes, real money as Geodad had been there recently) and took toy car.

Have at last revisited and restocked this cache since it had been pillaged a while ago. Thank goodness there is a Woollies nearby. And thanks to others including Evil Dan for looking after this waif while we have been indisposed.

16-Oct-05
Found this cache without any trouble. When I opened the cache it was nearly bare. I took Kroaky the Frog T/B and left 1 maiden figurine, 1 plastic seal and a helicopter. Log book placed into a new zip-lock bag. Regards Philma.

12-Oct-05
This was my second find for this trip to Sydney. After missing the right track initially, I eventually found my way in to GZ. I thought I'd be safe from muggles, but just as I spied the cache, I heard a man with a large dog approach, so I had to back off until he'd gone.

I had no swaps to no trade was made. However, I did take the Rubber Chicken TB with me. Thanks for the cache.

07-Oct-05
As this cache is literally across the road from my new house, I have given it a nice new log book and pencil, and a couple of foreign coins as swaps. Also dropped off TB rubber chicken.

02-Oct-05
checked my bag, nope no spare log books sorry, i will have to restock, but left a couple of bits of paper for the log, very dissapointing this cache is so empty so left Kroaky TB

15-Sep-05
I found a likely looking track and after a pleasant stroll arrived at GZ only to realise there is a much quicker way in. Found the cache quickly. There is no logbook in the cache so I left a note to verify my visit. Thanks Reigate Squires.

Took a toy an left a toy.

04-Sep-05
Found it after walking around in circles for a bit.

Place is very swamp like.

04-Sep-05
Did see the entrance at first and tried to walk around, but without luck. Found the entrance on the way back. Took the Batman CD and left an Z-card model aircraft.

27-Aug-05
Big Grin
This one was on the list of five
And really only a short drive
Across the oval and over the peek
Slipped and slid down to a stinky creek
Obviously came in the wrong way
What the heck the kids were OK
A few muggles so bush walking we faked
Arrived at the spot to find cache pillaged and raped
Left tiger and took puppet Guy
Hide the cache better we did try

06-Aug-05

After a bit of bush-bashing we finally found this one. It looks like it's recently been raided though as there was no log book and only a few things left. We left our treasures and re-hid the cache so hopefully it won't be disturbed by muggles again...

The owner might want to replace the log book...

27-Jul-05
2nd find for the day and what a fun little cache it was too. Sadly my mountain bike is in the shop so I wasn't able to practice my doubles at the nearly circuit. Some of the bush in the area is quite eerie, it would make a great night cache experience. Found the cache without too much trouble. Once again TNLNSL.

Thanks for the experience Squires from The Ginger Loon. Big Grin

29-Jun-05
This was the third success in "The Reigate Squires" caches in their occasional Parks of Willoughby series. We have driven past this location every work day for 20yrs and watched the changes, including the nurserying of the large palm trees that were relocated from the "Caroma" factory in Victoria St, Chatswood. Little did we know the "treasure" this location held. The three Sydney Grandchildren accompanied us and excitedly followed the GPS. How quick they learn. The area is much larger than we realised, and we checked out the Eco Garden but not much activity there over winter.

Thank you "The Reigate Squires", Marg & Ross "Minnamurra"

25-Jun-05
Another one of those weird jungle places in the middle of the city. I found the path easily, GPS reception dropped out so I went back to where it was good.. Then just counted 20 paces (as the gps said it was 20 meters away).. Bingo, I found it. Its well camoflaged but the clue will help you.

Signed the log, TNLN

On a side note, I went there just as the rain stopped. Its amazing watching the steam come off the rotting vegitation in the bush..

18-Jun-05
a quick and easy find, in a relitavley quiet looking location.

TNLN

24-Apr-05
Found OK. Took Superfast car, left 155 Indonesian rupiah, signed log. Would have been hard without the clue!

09-Apr-05
We used to live literally...300m metres from here and regularly walked through the paddocks and to the playground with our dogs. This helped because we knew exactly where to get in from. We didn't normally walk on the bushy trails like this one though, and had to fight our way through spider webs and mozzies (has anyone noticed the abundance of ridiculously complex and huge spiderwebs lately?). Decided to use the clue to hasten the process, and the cache was found in seconds. Although not many people would walk in there, it was clearly visible.
T: Lion mask, uk coin, us coin
L: RTA tattoo, german coin, Car, Bug, New Orleans mardi gras coin.
PS: Thanks to whoever left the lion mask, our toddler loves lions (Lion King) and was ecstatic to get it!

08-Apr-05
Is someone's idea of "rehabilitation" a collection of Lantana bushes? If so, they are doing well. Never suspected this area existed, nice walk until I got to about 20 meters from the cache. Then, no GPS sattilites. Lucky there was a clue.
Took: cards, Left: Juggling Ball (easier to juggle with only one).
Thanks, Robmc.

02-Apr-05
Nice area, heard lots of strange bird calls not what we usually hear in Canada. Watched rugby game on the way. Left Texas quarter, took key chain, Thanks

This was our second find on our Good Friday drive around the suburbs of Sydney. The President was in good form and spotted this one quickly. Thanks for the beautiful walk through the bush. This cache certainly has the presidential seal of approval.

20-Mar-05
After a confusing start, trying to figure out how best to get into this cache we found it quite easily. No swaps but took Jeep 4x4 Travel Bug. Thanks guys

20-Mar-05
Once we worked out the best direction to approach this cache, we found it pretty easily. Thanks!

14-Mar-05
After bidding farewell to the others in the awesome 4some it was time to head towards home via a few more caches. After finding the right spot to attack this cache from it wasnt long before the cache had revealed itself. Dropped off a jeep TB and took a VW car. Thanks Squiries for an interesting spot.

23-Feb-05
The mossies were bad, maybe they should have kept it for the freeway to the northern beaches. T the glow ring L some english money (I forget what)

21-Feb-05
I started off by trying way too hard as I had approached from the wrong direction. In the end it was an easy grab.

19-Feb-05
Third of only five for the day--was hoping to make a killing today. I initially didn't see the start of the 'path', and ended up in a paddock full of young cricketers. By the way, this one is not recommended for Saturday morning--parking was horrendous!

I then found the correct way in, but satellite coverage was once again attrocious. I'd been battling this all morning. [B)] The tree cover didn't help. First GZ was 26m that way; then 17 metres to the left; then 6m back there; etc. Sad I decrypted the hint, and found it very soon after at 1205. I made no exchange, but signed the log. TFTC.

26-Jan-05
May have had trouble without the extra hint on this one.

Well camouflaged cache in good condition. How many of these little oasis exist in our city suburbs. Without geocaching we would drive right by.

Another fairly short walk from the car which was very welcome as our rainy Australia day turned into a hot sunny one.

Thanks for the cache. TNLNSL.

26-Jan-05
Nice cache in suburbia..fourth for the day..

Amazing the places you visit via geocacing..also loved the concept of the spray painted container!!

TNLNSL

cache in good condition.

Dernel

22-Jan-05
This cache is starting to develop one of them cache freeways, still its not that easy to pick up with the overgrowth and the number of locations it can be hidden. One of the team even stepped right over it? The good news is we got it in the end...thanks Reigate Squires

22-Jan-05
A nice quick walk, looked in the wrong spot at first but then figured it out...

cheers

12-Jan-05
Looked for about 10minutes in the wrong spot. Realised my mistake and found the stash easily. Nice spot!

02-Jan-05
I bought my GPS only 2 weeks ago and decided to learn more about it this morning. That was when I found the "Geocaching" site. by 2 o'clock I had found my first cache, and without too much trouble....... am hooked..... I hope to be participating more.

I did not take anything out and nor did I put anything in. I did enter into the log. I had to be quick because the mozzies were getting ready to fly me out of there. In my haste Iforgot to put the "log Pen" back in its plastic bag. Perhaps the next person through there could replace it for me.

Regards
Kayakahn

24-Dec-04
Found by Mary & David at 1730. Still some rain about, and it was very humid under the thick tree cover. This would be a great spot for all those new homes, being so close to the city. Took Adidas key ring, left photo frame and a karma card. Our thanks again to The Reigate Squires.

04-Dec-04
4th and final cache for the day and another where EvilDan persuaded me to give it a go.....this time only to be stuffed around by the satellite gods and then eaten alive by mosquitoes. [:(!]
My theory - development is good if it wipes out those lousy blighters!!!

Husband found it eventually (his second success for the day) and we very quickly completed the log. T:N L:N.

13-Nov-04
4:11pm
This one had us going all over the place, hard to get a good lock under the trees, no dead pussy to speak off, but we did find a dead frog.

Finally found the cache hidden away.

Grabbed a pen and left a glowing ring, alos grabbed the bovine TB.

31-Oct-04
as it was a quiet Sunday we were lucky enough to be able to park less than 100 metres from the cache. I also saw the dead cat, thought it was sleeping!. Took an ink pad and left a mouse for the cat. Also left Udderly the walking cow TB.

31-Oct-04
My first cache!
Used to live 200m from this one - and the parents still do, so visiting them was a good excuse to finally get caching.
Missed it on first attempt - due to poor light. Second attempt led to a dead cat on one of the tracks off the main trail that wasnt there yesterday Sad
But finally found it! Took nothing, left a sticker from my volunteer fire brigade.

12-Oct-04
My expectations were high after being suprised by the nearby Splendor is in the Memories, however this was a bit of a contrast, some bush regeneration here would not go astray.

I was really impressed though by the superb stainless steel crafted 12V diochroic globe mount. Too bad it is a TB, I would like to keep it, actually I would like about a dozen of these things.

04-Oct-04
Knowing this spot well, it didn't take long to pinpoint this one, though I wish I'd been able to park closer.

Sat down for a bit and ate my lunch before unwrapping the goodies. Grabbed the Tiny Tater TB and moved him along to the next cache I found. I left the other TB that was already there, and I'm glad I did, turns out, looking online, that the Light TB is an ad riddled SPAM TB. I say we leave it here. :p

02-Oct-04
Nice cache. Heaps of bird life.

Dropped TB Light my world off.

22-Sep-04
Found this cache fairly easily in a part of Sydney I don't know all that well. Left Tiny Tater TB.

19-Sep-04
Somewhere we'e always wanted to explore, and finally had the motivation! Has anyone else noticed how abundant the wattle birds are in the area?? We picked up the Dead Duck TB.

12-Sep-04
We liked the EcoGarden concept, even if it is a bit run down.
A real easy find after a short walk.

Thanks
EcoTeam Smile

28-Aug-04
Second cache for this day. This one was not easy to find, but team Toolkit steared us in the right direction. We dropped off the One Dead Duck TB.

28-Aug-04
It seems strange to us to see a paddock without a horse or some other form of livestock. A couple of paddocks around our neck of the woods have ostriches in them. It was rather funny a couple of weeks ago when some of the birds escaped and one was running up and down the road. The coppers had try and round it up and everytime they got close the bird ran off.

27-Aug-04
Did this while I was in the area on biz. The GPS took me to the rough area then jumped around, but the clue took me the rest of the way. It will be a pity if they put this area under concrete. Good one Squires.
