Rebel Acts and I spent another enjoyable few hours wandering the eastern and southeastern suburbs looking for plastic containers. With many hills conquered I was able to hang up the boots tonight with 42 finds. A few drinks later and I was fast asleep content with the experience. Thanks. Archived but available.

Found @ 8:52am, find # 3453.

This week I was running solo, so I decided that I would go for early morning run, I left home and the weather was fine, only to find the weather at my target area to be not as good, oh well a bit of moisture is not going to hurt.
We will call this reserve, the two for one reserve with the five new Pinkpiggy caches as well as the five old archived caches from Da Bugs, but one seems to be missing, plus another that I had already found.
This one is also in great condition.
It had me looking for a little while before the hint helped me narrow it down and the find was made.

Thanks to Da Bugs for placing this cache.

Having just had a series of caches published in this park, we were alerted by another cacher that there was previously a series in park, but they had being archived.

Tried to find out where they had being and stumbled accross the series, and noted a a cacher (Biggles1024), who had gone looking for our caches had also found some of these on the same day, well we figured we may as well go for the hunt, this series almost meets the 161metre seperation from ours, accept for one, so it turned out to be interesting.

Well we found Caches 1, 2 and 4. 3 appeared to be missing, and couldnt solve the final without the clue from 3, although will try to piece together some co-ords if we get time.
Was fun seeing where these were in comparison to ours, the 3 caches found all all still in good condition.
tftc Da Bugs if you still get these emails.

Only hassle with this one was the 2 muggles with a muggle horse standing not far away, had to pretend to be taking pictures of the bush till they left.

Find #1338

My goal for today was to head to Upper Beacy to find three caches that were published about a month ago and then head back to Hallam to find the remainder of the caches along the Hallam Trail. Imagine my surprised when, just as I was finishing breakfast, five new caches were published in the very park where the archived caches might be.
This cache was an easy find. A good sized container and both it and the log were very dry. These old logs make for interesting reading.

Found @ 2:24. I tagged along on a post 11.11.11.11 event cache run with C@H and Spladem to do this series. We divided up the tasks at GZ, with Covert logging, Spladem cleaning up the cache contents, and I grabbed the info for number 5. Spladem made the find on this one. Took detritus, left nothing, log was signed and an enjoyable time was had. Thanks for the cache.

Took a friend with us and he's very excited - he found a skull necklace (hope it's not creepy). My son also found a metal plate - do you know what that is? It didn't look like the usual travel bug.....Perfect winter day to do it and a little bit tricky to find. Thanks heaps!

19-Jul-11
We came up here today but think we brought the wrong car and wrong clothes and walking attire to complete the series. After a hop under the fence we found this quickly.
Grabbed the clue and will definitely be back to do the rest of the series
Thanks Da Bugs for the cache

1.08pm

I was in the area and on the hunt for a group of caches that were not micros and I could walk between them, this series hit the nail on the head.

I parked the car ~100 meters from gz for this one, out of the car and off I went.

Nice easy walk to this one, my first of the series. I grabbed the clue and off I headed to the next one in the series.

Thanks to Da Bugs for the cache as well as the whole series.

I had a meeting this afternoon in Berwick and was hoping to pick up all four in this series, but the light beat me, I only got two of the caches. This was an easy walk up and grab. I'll have to come back out this way another time and get the other two in the series. Thanks Smile

Big Grin[Very well hidden in that log. It's one of the last places my dad and I would think of looking.] That log wasn't hollow at one end! [Took my dad and I on a nice walk through the bushland. The log book was a bit full when I found it. I may recommend replacing it with a new one. Otherwise it was great. Good work Da Bugs.]

@ 8.40am Find #647
Took a bit longer to find this one as there has been a lot of tree cutting in the area.
Problem! After I signed the log there was no clue. Had a quick look at some previous logs and noticed what was going on,Surprised so sent of an email to the last finder and I was off to the next cache
Thx once more

24-01 4th find of the day at 15:09 and 854th find in total.
A nice walk to this one and it was kind enough to let us make a quick find too.
Found another leaky lithium battery in this one too, so soft it was right on the point of eating through the outer shell.
(''\(OoO)/'') Thanks Da Bugs for the caching fun!

For some reason we did this cache in the series first, not 4th, after meeting up with Monch's Mob in the afternoon. It was a nice area, but to me it looked like it would be a very flammable place in the summertime. At the moment, there's a bit of water around, hence the mozzies were terrible. As a result it was a very quick and rather frantic signing of the log. TFTC.

20-Sep-09
"You can't get through that fence" came the cry from Mrs Monch and squalid. "Oh yes I can", I replied, neglecting to mention the loss of testicles incurred.

Nice spot for a cache, and tough to imagine what it would've been like to be stuck here on 16th Feb 1983.

After calculating where the final was after completing numbers 2 and 3 I decided to drive to number 4 and use my bike from there. This cache only required a short stroll and was found without too much difficulty. After number 3 I was grateful for relatively flat terrain!

Thanks,

1498. I didn't really plan this trip, just loaded the PQ into the Oregon and then kept going to the next closest. I did miss some out but I was glad I did this one, even though the road in was very interesting, especially in the wet. Nice little stroll to the cache.

Found this at 12:45 PM. GPS was reading 10 - 12 metres EPE, same as written in the Cache's long description. After a bit of looking around found it okay. Well hidden and replaced the same way. Left yellow yo-yo and took a spinning noisy thing ( not sure what you call it ). TFTC. signed log. Now off to find the fifth and final in this series.

Having just done #1, and after pausing for a minute or two at the memorial to the poor souls who died on Ash Wednesday, I proceeded on to this one. A very pleasant walk along the track through the damp bush and an easy find at GZ meant I now had all the info for #5 Big Grin.

This was my first find of the series although I set off after 2 first. As I reached the site I was concerned I wouldn't find anything as there had been a control burn through the area, but after a little searching I had it. Took gnome on horse, left waterpistol. Thanks da bugs

Determined to finish this series in the same day.

18-Apr-05
Was a bit worried about this one due to the recent fire activity in the area, hadn't read the previous log. GPS led me a little astray and I had to resort to the clue. Found the cache at about 8:10pm, grabbed the last of the information for the final cache, but once I plugged the co-ords in realised I didn't have enough time to get to gz. TNLN

Friday Night Craziness 4th out of 5 found.
10.25pm
This was the hardest one to get to tonight as there was alot of fallen trees brought in by last weeks storms over the path. After a while we lost track of the path and had to cross a creek to get to GZ. After a bit of a search S made the find. He initially forgot where this one was hidden. And I was only a metre away looking in a more obvious spot. Thanks from M.B and S.B-A (team rabbitto)

Oh, my aching legs. This up must stop soon (and it did, but soon enough for me).
Again, walking, walking, walking, I paused and the GPSr swung around and pointed back where I'd just come from (by 25 meters).
Huh!
Well, I followed where it sent me but before I could get there I spotted a likely hiding spot and the cache was in hand.
After I'd complete the log, the GPSr had setttled from 25m to about 6m, so quite OK under the tree cover.
I took a goat and left some bracelets.
Thanks Da Bugs.
Now to work out where the last cache is.

Dak is still holding the umbrella while I followed my GPSr to the next of these five caches. Another clue in the hand, not too many birds in the bush however with this rain getting heavier. Sorry, there were a couple of galahs trying not to slip over in the park. Why is clay always so slippery [?]

Easy find at 11:25hrs..

Started with Number 1 and then headed for 4.

If you follow this same route, after 4 don't follow the fence line track, this takes you to private property and a couple of nasty dogs. You need to follow the 'closed' track (I'm guessing they mean the horses)

07-Aug-04
The sun came out briefly and it was like being in a different place. No sign of the "mad dogs". I had to back track as I dropped my gloves, so this was an extra hard leg for me.

This was my second of the "five-fer" in Critchley Parker Reserve. Another easy find at 1110, despite the patchy GPS coverage. I gathered the vital clue and headed for number 3 (meeting the dreaded dogs on the way--see my log for AWM3 about the dogs near the western border of the reserve.

My 3rd of 7 caches for the day. Thought I had better let Murry find this one as I didn't want to leave him out. Yeah right Wink.

Mr.Coffee and Shelby jumped into the car and drove to this cache, and yes I found a small but significant mud hole to drive through (2 times).
After the play time was over it was down to the search on foot for the cache. even though the GPS epe was out to 40 metres we found the cache after 5 mins.
Thanks again Da Bugs for giving my life some meaning by providing a mud hole for me to drive through (twice)

Well we didn’t see this set of caches listed until late this afternoon, & assumed we wouldn’t get a first find. However with them only about 13 km away in a nice area of the world, the temptation was too great & so we went out to give it a Go! Razz I didn’t even know this little patch of park existed. Lovely -real scrub & bush. We found the cache site easily with chick 1 retrieving excitedly Big Grin. This is our kind of cache-Easy enough for the kids to enjoy [8)] & that means we can enjoy it more also. Unfortunately we were beaten there (Well done team Crackers!). However we had a lot of fun today. We still have to do Cache No.1 and then the final in the series -Hopefully tomorrow.
Took Bouncy ball, Left Keyring & Geocaching tattoo

We’ve had a great day & all thanks go to DA BUGS
P.S. Its great to do a series all within easy walking distance of each other -Thanks again

18-Jul-04
We entered off the end of High street (great!), did this cache 1st, & then proceeded toward Cache No.3 in the series. The path we chose toward No.3 is NOT Recommended[B)]. From Cache No.4 We headed South for about 50m, then South East, along the track, at the boundary of the park. We soon came along near a neighboring property from whence ran several large dogs. Three were loud but placid, one was Vicious [:(!]. We were bailed up for some time (me with my 4 year old thrown up onto my shoulders rather more rapidly than usual) until the owners arrived claiming we were on private property (Not the case!) & making several other excuses for irresponsible pet ownership!
Anyhow- This park is great, the terrain is different than the norm, the flora varieties & bird life are vast and I believe all will enjoy as we did! - Just steer clear from the South West boundary of the park.

18-Jul-04
This is our first of the series for the day. As we used to live on this road we knew exactly where to go. Unfortunatly we forgot in our haste so start the series to check the battery level of the GPS, which failed just as no 2 said, got it

Left Super glue
Thanks DABugs for a great start to the morning and now off to buy some batteries as we had no spare in the car either.
Glad the general store opens early

Found at 3:50pm. We had been beaten to the 1st place at #1 by Team Crackers and after being beaten to #2 and #3 by both Team Crackers and Chookies we once again found that at #4 we were yet again in third place. Now the quick calculations to find the location of the main cache. Oh no, it's there? Strueth! If we have been chasing Chookies around this side of the park, we now have to really motor to beat them there. They may still have not logged #1 but not having put a time on their log, we didn't know how far they were ahead.

We had taken the same track as per Chookies log to get to this cache but in the opposite direction. We didn't see the guy with the dogs at this particular spot but we did catch up with them on later on in a different place. The brown and white dog was the barkiest giving us a complete dressing down. The owner then appeared from somewhere in the bush (from way off the beaten track) to call him off. He did apologise and say that the dogs weren't used to seeing people in the park then walked off at a brisk pace up the hill. What was he doing in the bush with his dogs and why were the dogs angry? Maybe we'll never knowWink.

Anyway, a fourth easy find, we have the co-ordinates and we're off.

Thanks Da Bugs from D & S B-A.
Took a container keyring, left an otter.
