We came to this lovely location with little hope of finding this cache and we were not disappointed.
This location is a must visit if in the area.
Thanks

Another one in 1770 region that has disappeared. Most disappointing , nice 4 wheel track in though.
Searched hard. Found only two golf balls which made the little fella happy.
Great spot, should of read previous posts before I made the trip for this one though. We made the most of our time and will come back for a camp.
Had a good look around couldn't find and looks like it's been awhile since last found.
Not sure if this cache is still here!!! Bush fire has been through there and all that is there is cinders, searched around at GZ but nothing, there was a palm tree or 2 still standing........... i was wondering if maybe the co-ordinates had changed or if it maybe needs a check up??. Was a lovely drive out and i've never seen the LARC in action before, boys did some fishing and caught a few all thrown back in. Still too cool for camping for me.
Searched for whilst stuck in Agnes due to floods. Worst places to get stuck. Not sure this ne is tere anymore. Maybe needs a check or archive. TFTH
Enjoyable drive in,found it walked on to the beach as two larcs ( army duck style vehicle) from 1770 went past on the way to Bustard Head light house. Couldn,t have timed it better.
took a drive out to this cache today. parked at the beach car park and walked out to the cache. go out to the beach and enter from the ocean side.
That was exciting !! The paddle over was easy enough but back we were fighting the late afternoon incoming tide which made for a bumpy and soggy trip back. What a delightful area this would be to camp in – so quiet and unspoilt . TFTC
You're right, 'Triamks', it's a lot easier from the ocean side . Paddled over from the marina at 1770 in our kayak for this one. Just over 6km round trip. Nothing quite like being the first to leave your footprints on an unmarked beach [^]. TN/LN/SL. Not long after mentioning that "unmarked beach" to Mrs Lat&Long, the L.A.R.C. came lumbering up the beach. We didn't mind though, as we'd had our moment of thrill and we'd just booked a day trip to the lighthouse on the L.A.R.K. for the next day.
Found with Triamks at 11:45am. Nice spot but difficult to get to. The terrain and difficulty needs to be increased as the track can be difficult depending on the type of car you have. I was cringing every time we drove over a massive tree root. Definitely not suitable for any lowered vehicles. As Triamks suggested, a boat would be far better to access the cache. TFTC.
Found with Shell at 11:45am. Given the state of the track the terrain/difficulty could do with an increase. While we managed in a sedan, it was slow going & hairy in a few places. Would not even consider attempting if car is lower than normal. It would be considerably easier if approached from the water by canoe or boat.
Did walk up to the lookout. 143 steps each way. Diverse variety of vegetation on the drive in to the NP. Flocks of black cockatoos flying overhead. Decided to stay the night at the campsite (in fact we liked it so much we stayed for 2 nights!). Went for a walk along the beach from campsite 6 to the cache. It was wonderful to be in the sea breeze after such a hot stinky day. Saw roo prints in the sand walking up to the cache. Quick find and an enjoyable walk back. .. TFTC eatmorchikin & Stigglepot

As we were not able to get onto the boat out to Lady Musgrave Island today, we did the 2 caches here. Loved the drive out to this one, was a lot of fun. That beach is disgusting, the water is dark green and the weed on the beach is pretty nasty as well. Locals tell me it is caused by fertilizer used on the sugar cane.
Easy find, took a trackable.
Cheers

Found today whjilst camping at Middle Creek, can't catch crabs here so won't camp here, but beautiful any way.TFTC Tppk nothing left Dolphin & geo coin. Also started my Aussie micro geo coins journey.
Found at 10.00am GAFF2. Left 1770 (or Agnes Waters to be more exact) and headed straight for this cache as it sounded so interesting. We were dragging our van and suddenly the track closed in and instead of stopping and un-hitching we kept going thinking that the track would open up again - it didn't!
We travelled for the next 10kms at around 4 kms per hour trying to avoid the branches that were sticking out onto the track, but managed to get scratched and tormented all the way down.
It was a long and tortuous ride, but when we got to the end we had a lovely feeling of achievement.
The cache was found (including the original) and a few photos taken of this idealistic quite spot.
Thanks llourd - now for the agonising trip out!

This was a tough find. Lots of prickles about, Searched for half hour, gave up searching when I looked over and saw a likely spot and there it was, My GPS took me 7 or so metres away.
Remains of the original burnt cache still there in it's plastic bag. Cache container in good condition. Not much in the Cache so I stocked it up with some goodies. TFTC
I was amazed that this cache was still in place, the recent cyclone had done some damage along the Dunes, The big tides looked like they actually went over the cache. Nearby Palm tree is now laying on the beach, Lot's of erosion. One more decent storm and I think cache will go swimming.

WanderingAus wandered by on day seventy-eight of a 6 month trip Wandering Australia. I read the log by julianh and considered skipping this one, but I noticed that the owner seemed to be based about 375 CroKs South of Bustard Beach, so I decided to attempt a rescue mission. After a bumpy drive in through plenty of puddles I made an easy find of the lump of molten plastic reported by julianh.
When I picked it up it rattled, and turning it over I could clearly see some of the contents inside, so I took it back to the GeoChallenger (probably necessary to get there after the past three days of rain) to break it open. Once I got the mass apart I found the container and the log book were the only things actually damaged by the fire, but everything else was seriously spoilt by water. The sole survivor worthy of inclusion in swaps was a baby fireman, so I added a few items to build up the supply.
I've replaced the container with a 1.2 Lt plastic fruit jar and included a new log book and a pen and pencil. Could the next hunter possibly drop off a pencil sharpener? I also placed the remnants including the mostly burnt old log book inside a ziplock bag under the new container. I contemplated moving the cache to an unburnt area but as I didn't know when I would be online to log the find and the move I decided to just pile a lot of sticks over it at the original GZ.
My find No 704, LCC, TN, L boat, shark, cow & pair of dice (and container, log book, pen, pencil), dropped my WanderingAus Happy New Year 2008 Gold GC in for a visit before grabbing it back again.

Found the cache site, and a small lump of molten plastic, that looks like it was once a geocache – the cache has been destroyed by a recent bushfire. (Must have been in the last few days – you could still smell the recent smoke.)
(And yes, you CAN reach this site in a 2-wheel-drive if the weather is good – we got here in our Mazda 6 wagon! Wouldn’t be game to try it after any heavy rain though.)

Brilliant spot. Unfortunately we did not find the cache. I am fairly sure I was looking in the correct place and we did go back for a second look however still no go.
Great spot. One of those rare beaches without another footprint. Took travel bug and left pink golf ball. Thanks Ilourd
Found this a while ago.

One large reason I go geocaching is to find locations like this, we will be back with the camping gear for a over night stay. I hope not to many people find out about this pristine location. Left Shoe keyring, Took screwdrivers. Droped off travel bug, she is hopeing to get a lift up north. TFTC
Enjoyable drive to where the cache is hidden. Beach looked very nice though probably would have looked even better if it had been high tide. Took ball and left packet of fish hooks. Thanks for bringing us here.
Found at 11:00. What a great beach, I havn't been here for 20 years.

Thanks to Vinthe2nd for driving us out in his 4WD, I'm not sure our Magna would have coped. The drive in was great fun, but the beach was so worth the trip. Deserted, with a stunning sunset sky, we stayed for quite a while. This would have to be the most enjoyable cache we've done. Will upload photos when I've got a moment.
Camped in the campsite at Eurimbula was a lovely spot, apart from the sandflies, they were everywhere!! When we set out to find the cache, we headed in via the track instead of the beach, it was a silly thing to do. We searched for about half an hour before finding it in the most obvious place!!
Took: Kids took 2 glitter tubes
Left: Socks, a ball and a pet rock
Thanks

Found the cache at 10.30am. Wow!!! So beautiful beach and lovely bushland - we enjoyed drive along to the cache. No swap. Thank you for organise the cache and hunt.
Great cache to find for our first one located. Unfortunate for us we met an unwelcome guest slithering under our feet as I approached the cache. I'm not sure who was more frightened, the snake or I. Took the Fridge magnet and replaced it with a golf ball.
Found today, at 14.45, after tripping down though Turkey Beach Rd, and Worthington Creek. Sad to see the emergency log book, knowing that the original log book had been distroyed so,
A new log book is now in place in this cache, with the used pages from the emergency log book in the front. All sealed in a new ziplock bag. Hopefully this will alleviate any further wet log book event. The cache container is in good condition. Please rewrap the container in the bag to try to stop water ingress.
Took Seattle keyring.
Left new log book and ziplock bag, 4wd club calling card and stainless steel heart fridge magnet.
Bustard Bay beach is always pleasant, even more so if the sandies would leave you alone. I have camped here before, but of course didnt know about the cache. I enjoyed the revisit and the hunt.
Cheers

Found on this glorious Queensland winters day. Saw some great birdlife and fished the day away. Cache in good condition, but found the log book rather hard to write in as papers are all loose. Otherwise a great find, and took the English coin in pink purse, and left a keyring from Seattle, that we picked up in Hamilton Island earlier this year.
Visiting 1770 and Agnus Waters for a few days so added geocaching to the list of activities. We ventured down the road in our 2wd successfully, fording two creeks and avoiding large rocks to reach a lovely deserted beach. We wished we had more time to explore but wanted to get back to the bitumen before dark. The clue helped us find the cache TNLN Must get a stock of interesting treasures for future caches that we visit.Butters_58
We were a bit apprehensive about chasing down this cache with only a 2WD drive however decided " no pain no gain " so off we went to bag our second for the day
Great drive in, although there is the odd bumpy-bit
What a great hideaway and a fantastic beach.
The log book or should I say pages need to be put in a sealed bag as they are in a pretty fragile state
We took 3 heart sticks and left the "Catwalk" English coin
Maski and Co
Drove in through Turky Beach had a good day some very nice country. Took a swizzle stick left a sewing kit.

Sadly the cache was very muddy inside. Also the logbook was completely wet. So we decided to take the box with us, cause we camped at the bushcamp nearby. Hope nobody tryed to find this one overnight .
Most the cache items we had to throw away, because they are destroyed by rust and mud.
Now the cache is dry and clean. A dry emergency logbook is also inside.
Finally we wrapped the box in plastic bag, hoping the box remains dry.
Thanks and best regards,
Mattes + PaulHarris

A double whammy for Team OrrClan today. First Catwalk cache & now Bustard Beach cache. And two top spots to boot. A pretty straightforward find once I started looking around the correct palm tree! The cache contained some water again as per the last visit & unfortunately most of the contents are pretty waterlogged, including the logbook. Therefore couldn't make a logbook entry. My son took a kitset toy car. We didn't leave anything as it would probably suffer the same fate as the existing contents. Didn't have a new plastic bag with us unfortunately. The road into the cache was very good today, with the exception of a number of potholes. Would be easy in a standard car at the moment so don't be afraid to have a go. A lovely camping spot just a little further on from the cache & one we will return to sometime soon. If you don't have a decent map of the area with you (like us) try the Real Estate agent in Agnes Waters. He knew the area well & had a great map on the wall. Cheers, Team OrrClan
Longer drive than I thought. Found the site okay. Had a bit of rain the day before. The cache container was full of water. I didn't have time to dry every thing out, just emptied the water. This cache will need some maintenance.

We just about gotten bogged along this track. Part of the track was made of sand and other cars had made deep wheel tracks which my little car couldn't handle. I tried to run one set of wheels up the middle and the other set on the edge of the track. But the car just slipped into the wheel tracks and bottomed out. We just had enough momentum to make it out the other side and saw more deep sand areas to come, so we decided to turn around and head back. We had fun trying though. We may attempt this cache sometime in the future.....more like distant future when we can afford a 4WD.

3rd cache for the day. Found that we were not the first to find. Lovely location once we located the correct road. 4WD not required. Desterbed on the beach by two amphibious tourist buses. Container has seen virmin activity, contents damp. Needs new container.
