As there's been no cache to find for months, I'm archiving it to keep it from continually showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements. If you wish to repair/replace the cache sometime in the future, just contact us (by email), and assuming it meets the guidelines, we'll be happy to unarchive it.
My 700th find but unfortuntately the cache has been totally ruined by teenagers who had filled the container with bright blue paint along with vandalizing the cottage I removed the cache as it is beyond repair and was unable to replace as I didn't have anything with me.Thanks for the History Alex
As reported by postiegirl, this cache has been trashed. Offline pending decision on its future.
Found with Racing Stripes, Bek-theraccoon and MayGrape on our uber NYE caching camp. Maygrape led us to GZ but I found the cache in the end. Interesting location, thanks for taking us there.
a place very close to my heart, i grew up playing on this beach so i was very excited to learn there are caches hidden here and as always walking through the dunes and along the beach was lovely, hopefully i might even have one down near gull rock to keep yours company before too long, thank you very much
Yet another nice coastal view. Cache found easily on a very calm morning, thanks alex.
Took Geo dog for a walk to find this one, lost my phone while out caching. Arrived home noticed phone missing. Went all the way back and it was sitting on the spot where I signed the log. Me lucky! TNLNSL TFTC
Located this one on our way back to our car after finding #2 of the series. Easy find and was surprised to see a red rose thriving despite being neglected.

Found with Gozling, Voogoofish and co. (only realised i hadn't logged this one when my cache count didn't quite match what i thought...so 4 months later it gets remembered!!) TNLNSL TFTC
Nice easy find with voogoofish, The Prisoner, little_sis & some interested muggle friends while visiting the beach with church youth group. Interesting building. TNLNSL
Easy found it. Really very intersting old building, lovely walking along beach and great views.

Our first attempt during the afternoon was thwarted by muggles, but just on dusk we and our friend Josh succeeded. Interesting history.
Tnln. Many Thanks.

"Ouch, watch out for the Box Bush" [:o] I said as it attacked my forehead.
After a little hunt (& blood) we found it. Thanks for the great hunt.

Found the cache at 3.30pm. Accompanies with Lava12. Lava12 found it before me We enjoyed wander along to the cache, Gosh! Interest about the history No swap. thanks for bringing us today. Thanks Alex for organising the cache and hunt.
Tricky cache which got the better of me! Couldn't find it but had a few ideas, will try to return one day with the better half and see what we can find!
Found it! Had trouble the first time I looked for it, but after reading a few of other cachers comments I was able to find it the second time! It was right in front of me for about 10 mins the first time!
Cool spot. Had to walk up and find number two as GZ was hosting a tea party for a couple of little girls on bikes. Came back down the hill, found the GZ, made a quick swap and signed the log. What a pity the local vandals can't keep their spray paint to themselves.
Our second attempt at this one. Love this area, the trees, the ocean, flowers and birds.
We were much more successful this time, found within 5 minutes of arriving at GZ, must be the practice
Took a walk to the beach and enjoyed the view, though it was a bit grey and windy.

It's good to have geograndkids available to push into tight spots to get these.
Great spot, but a bit of damp getting into cache container.

Good stroll to this one - had fun looking over the residence. Took racing car, left something else. Thanks.
like the ruins. Geokid got well scratched getting to the cache. Very happy with swap. Log book a bit damp might need a new glad bag.
Found it pretty quick - coming into spring so weeds and new growth made it a bit harder to get to. Watch out for the spiky bushes - is under a rock.
Great hide. Came in blistery winds and rain coming in sideways! Nick, Alex, Andrew and Alison accompanied.

Found at 1130 hrs. 1st of 8 on my 78th Birthday caching day.
Interesting old ruin. My new Garmin 60 took a while to settle down and, after thinking a bit, led me into a bit of a prickly situation, but right on target!
Thanks Alex.

A nice walk for the afternoon. Have lived locally for most of my life and have never walked those trails. Took awhile to find was well hidden. TNLTSL
GZ was swarming with muggles when we looked across the valley but they had moved on by the time Mr S arrived. Thought of a word for Alex when he was getting poked by the box thorns but we can't write it here. TNLNSL
Nice find...didn't even know this ruin was here despite having surfed off this beach regularly (many moons ago)...

First find at roughly 6am on a very hot day. GPSr had us a bit off, but with some searching it was soon found. TFTC.
Started caching at 5:45 am to avoid the day’s 41 degree heat. I was just about ready to leave when Nomad spotted it. TFTC
We are sorry to have to log this as a DNF.
We searched once before without a GPSr with no luck- but didn't log it as a DNF since we were without said help.
We now have one and went out thinking we'd find this since so many had been successful.....but no luck.
Hoping someone else finds it soon and we will go back to try again. Until then we are putting this one on the back burner.

Took me awhile because I entered one digit incorrect. Bugger. After finding it I ran back to my friends who were waiting for the ordered food... TNLN

What a great little spot - wouldn't it have been great to spend time here all those years ago. Thanks Alex
After a late night failure at this cache, the daylight in the morning provided a better hunt.
A great spot, we even found the footbridge on the way back!
Found with poodle-smoodle.

We Went to the cache for the second time as we thought it would be easer to find it in the daylight. After a long hard look at night and day when we eventually found the cache we thought why didn't we look there at fist. TNLN SL
Dodging the nearby muggle kids I had the cache out, log signed and back within a minute! No swaps today... Thanks Alex.
After having to come back because of muggles the crappy golfer, yes she is today found it easily!!!!!!!!!!!!
First time we've visited this relaxed little port. Enjoyed the walk along the trails to the cache, and as expected, wasn't long before we were signing the log. Found a large cackroach scampering about in the outer plastic bag, miss J tipped him out and he made a dash for her feet. She performed a funny dance as a result. TNLNSL. Thanks Alex.
Did this one after #2, it was a nice walk down.
Thanks heaps we enjoyed the history on this one.

Very peaceful this morning, except for the flies. Listened to the birds whilst the cache dried out. Took the mouldy sewing kit to dispose of and left some stickers in a new log bag. Neat location, wouldn't mind slate floors like the ones here, it would have been a pretty nice cottage in its day.
Thanks Alex.
Thanks Alex.
Found after a little while in the bushes.
Who would have ever guessed this place existed?
Coordinates spot on but takes a while to lock-on to the satellites properly.
The cache is in very poor condition and really needs a scrub-up. We were in a hurry (yet again) so just drained out all the water and dried out as much as possible. However, slime has set in and probably needs a refurbish.
Placed in a new watertight bag to try and help.
T - Jet fighter
L - Blue hippo.
Thanks for another scenic view.
Regards,
Gaz.

This one took a little longer than its neighbour. May have been the sat lock in the gully or just us. Took the frog and left clip.
Managed to find lots of prickles here. Success was at hand though and we swapped purple monster for an 'O'. Cheers and thanks.
Easy find after a nice walk. Very wet, logbook also, drained the water out. Now off to #2.

Called by here, but the place was full of mini-muggles. Headed off to Star of Greece #2 to return soon after. Luckily found easily but unfortunately the cache is very damp. TNLN. Cheers!
Interesting cottage.
Did this on the way back from #2.
Cache was a bit wet but we cleaned it up as best we could.

Nice old building, a bit tricky with a few smaller muggles around. Spiky bushes a bit of a problem too. TNLN, thanks Alex
It must have been a lonely existance to live out here all that time ago, when you look at what they had and the way we live now. Great walk in in terrable weather but still an enjoyable visit.
Took crocodile

Even after doing this one once before I returned today with Setsujoku for a re-run. The sat loc was still playing up but I still found it. Groundhog Day!
Found with Octogenerian on a drive down south. Perfect weather for the beach - sunny but not too hot.. Took Men's moisterising cream - left Grandmother Crocodile. Thanks for showing us the ruin, Alex
Nice old building, and with a fairly generously-sized GZ, it took a bit of searching to nail this one, but as soon as I got in the right area, its location screamed at me. TNLNSL. Thanks Alex. Now off to the wreck site at SoG #2.
Didn't find this one. Was our second ever geo cache. Seemed harder than Star of Greece 2. We enjoyed finding the ruin as we had no idea it was there. We will try again.
Cheers,
Tara&Mark.

Started the search, but soon retreated after the sight and sound of bee's made me thing twice.
Will come back later in the year when down this way for footy.

Didn't take too long to find but it is well hidden. Took Mondo and left Lizard straw holder.
Unfortunately did not find this one. Looked for about half an hour and the GPS had us round the same group of bushes.
Appreciate the interesting area - thanks for showing us this location, even if we didn't find it.

Found after the full monty - on the way home.
A quick flit through, didn't have time to look at much - needed to be at the irport shortly.
Took keyring and frog, left tube moisturiser, sewing kit and small game.
Thanks Alex!

Second find of two for the day - GPS took lots of time to settle here for some reason which had us looking in a few likely, but fruitless spots. Eventually found (15 min. or so) at 17:30 in a cleverly concealed hiding spot.
Took: glow stick earrings
Left: Historical figurine
Thanks, Alex, for a well hidden cache in a spot that is well worth the effort to visit.

Some nice history and scenery here. Took the belly dancing book and left a melbourne keyring and marvin the martian. Thanks alex.
A beautifully placed cache, so in tune with the surroundings. took a gnome, lefts some glow sticks, I assume there are fish around the star of greece! Cheers
Beware diving into the bushes, they have nasty prickles! Was just about to give up when my lovely wife and caching teammate made a suggestion which revealed the cache. Lovely location, afterwards we went swimming on the nearby beach.
Took: cord & puzzle
Left: tape & "art of belly dancing" kit

Found after a bit of a search. My GPS initially had me looking in one place, then decided to go else where. Interesting piece of history associated with this place. I didn’t make a swap. My thanks to Alex for the cache and the history lesson.
Aren't we clever Mike?
Waited patiently for the GPSr to settle down and finally tell us where GZ was. Foolowed our noses (and the arrow) to reveal the box relatively quickly. MissDemeanour was disinterested and climbed the ruins while we searched! She has no regard for history that girl!
Great place for a cache Alex! TNLN.

Yes... But Kylie from 2KsAway gave me wrong co-ordinates..[8] so we will return with the right ones!
Well done Langy!
Well done Langy!
No luck by Mike, Emma and Shyan!
[8] on this one... We headed for this one after Kylie sent us the co-ordinates... we looked and looked but the Garmin said it was in the void to the right of the structure (And I mean smack bang in no-mans land)
We searched the likely places nearby but no luck... Has been recently mowed so not too sure here...
Will return for a look another time.
Thanks for the challenge Alex.

Found by Mary & David at 1700. A fascinating place and an interesting Alex history lesson. Daisies and roses in full bloom in front of the cottage. Think they would have needed those fireplaces in those days. Took magnet, left nail polish. Also took TB 'Above and Beyond' for more travels. Our thanks to Alex.
Ah ha, Found it. Strange sense of deja vu visiting this site. Had the feeling I'd been here before looking for another cache!
Cold and windy day, but calm seas unlike that event back in July 1888. Left Above & ... TB to continue the journey. Now time to visit #2. Thanks Alex, Cheers Rav 4 Raiders

Found with Skippy and Lambchops, was expecting to find a shipwreck, should have read the cache notes properly. TNLN. Thanks Alex.
Found @ 5:00pm I decided to look for a bridge to cross the small river, falling in water once is enough for one day.
Took 2005 dairy and left Grog Puzzle.

Really interesting area and we enjoyed the walk and views though the storm clouds were definitely heading in our direction so there was no time to linger. Took geocoin and left small bungey cord. Thanks Alex.
Found the cache after letting the unit settle down. Alice would have loved the building but she was back with the hockey players.
Clever idea to have two caches as both are well worth the trouble. Thanks.

Spent the morning grabbing a couple of TBs as part of Unlock the Mysery from already found caches. Then on to a couple of new ones. Fairly easily found, once I worked out how to get across the creek! Took a Singapore Merlion, and left a 2005 diary with pen. Thanks Alex.
