This cache is pretty beat up - going out today to have a look and then decide what to do
T Manicure kit, L Waiters friend. Grabbed Beach Ball gc. Replaced outer bag, but it really needs a snap lock bag - biggest I had with me was 22 x 25 cm, needs next size up.

What a nice walk. Really enjoyed the informational signs on the way. Unfortunately the trees in front of the lookout have grown so tall you can't see the view anymore, oh well I'll have to go higher then.
Left Beach Ball GC. T4TH and the awesome view!

Evidence of the rifle range can still been seen at the base of the hill. I used to work on Sunday mornings at the range marking the targets after they were hit. The regrowth down range is great considering the cleared area I remember.
Surprised three huge roos on our walk up the hill. Great View.

Our 2nd local cache (Grass Tree View is the other)The local wild life had evicted the cache from its home but no real damage done. Rehoused it under its grass tree. Have good satellite reception here, took us within one and a half metres of GZ! Going on cross country to GCA680 Darling. TNLNSL T4TH
This was my first cache, I decided to do this one as we regularly walk up to the viewing platform, we walk from our home. I was pleased that the gps was spot on and enjoyed the search.
Saw the usual kangaroos and a kookaburra, my brother who came with us (he is on holiday from the Isle of Wight)took lots of photo's, the views are great from the cache area.
I took some hair clips and left a BNIB key ring.
Thanks for the cache.
Regards Lindisfarne

Haven't been in this part of the park for yonks..... took the ??easy way and parked the car and climbed (had a rest) climbed (and had a rest), etc!! Wild flowers in abundance, overcast day but still got hot. Only wild life today was a rabbit!! The Lookout - thank God - great views and then the hunt. Found easily - wrapped up quite well and contents all dry.
Lost bearings (the track) for a little way getting back, scrambling down gravel little paths but knew I was getting there. Thoroughly enjoyed the hunt.

Parked at the suggested coords and followed the track reading the plaques. Read one about how there are great number of Western Greys habitating the area when I look around and there are 4 of them no more than 25m away watching me. They didn't move as I traversed within 15m before the track doubled back. Reached the platform and had a look at the GPSr for the first time since leaving the car, still 200m to go! I thought, "What! up there? What is it with Geocaching and climbing bloody steep hills" LOL Coords nice and accurate but cache container a bit sus, lid had popped and dead insects inside but still relatively dry. I hadn't planned on taking anything but I spotted a bar of soap and removed it, after seeing what damage one can do to a cache earlier in the day. Anyway, the view was worth it, I'd say even better than the viewing platform below. TFTH, T soap LN SL
Found the cache at 2:30 PM. Our first for the afternoon. We parked at the recommended point and followed the trail to the lookout and then pretty much meander up the hill directly to the cache. Found easily and then sat down to log our visit whilst enjoying the views. LNSL and picked up Confused Travel Bug. The purpose of our visit. The cache container is starting to show some wear but is still okay for the mo. Thanks for the climb.
Found with Dad. A hard climb but I like the platform and the views from the cache. I took the $1.00 coin and left a Ericsson R600 mobile phone leather case. Thanks for the hunt and the climb.
Great little trek into the wild, loved to see the kangaroos and wonders of wonders I managed to remember to take my camera.

As Gwiber and I were close by we walked up the hill from the suggested car park. Started off without rain but it caught up to us on the way up and again on the way back down. Cache is in good condition and coords were spot on for us. We were accompanied nearly all of the early climb by the local kangaroos.
Took nothing and left TB Confused.

We decided to take the geo-terriers on a walk before travelling down to Mandurah visiting the rellies.
So many memories for me here!! This cache is now in a park but a few years ago it was part of the Blythewood Farm - I used to live here and have spent many many hours tracking our cows through this bush. I was so sad to see that the old home has now gone and many new ones built over it. I guess thats the way it goes, it was pulled down many years ago and I havent been game to face reality and pay a visit since.
Time was short or I would have walked that bit further to see whether to old airstrip was still present alhough I suspect that it has probably returned to nature by now as I am talking around 25 years ago.

Last of five caches for the day, I parked ar the end of Dalley Rd and walked up from there and it was a long walk, near the top I saw some tracks and thought I could have driven up here, while signing the log book I was covered in TICKS, I hate them
I traded nothing and quickley walked away, back near the car I saw the remains of some of the rifle range which made the whole treck worth while, if you park where I did walk through the fence and head north and you will see the dirt mound and a track you can follow up with signs along the way.
Thanks

We added the coordinates we found the cache at but its not much of a variation to those supplied by The Cache Rangers. We love Cache Ranger caches as we find most of them are a physical challenge and this one also gives a good view while you rest after the grueling climb. We didnt read TLC comment about the Rubber bands for the cache untill after we returned home but the plastic bag seems to be holding up at keeping the cache dry so repairs arnt needed urgently. We could see rain squalls moving across the plains and thought we may be unlucky and cop one but our luck held out and we completed the task without incident. In: Soap Out: a Differnet soap. We never found the correct track back down so it was just a case of find whatever way back we could with out falling on our bums in the slippery conditions. Great cache very enjoyable at this time of the year and its almost a sister to the one we put in on the other side of Byford so you can do a similar walk twice if you feel like it.
Didn't fancy much exercise today...so why the hell did we pick this one!! Must admit though, it was well worth it for the view and once completed felt no guilt about going home for coffee & cake !!

Found by Kathryn while I took a well deserved break from the walk up hill. I was expecting that this would be an easy walk up a gentle slope, but no - Cache Rangers had decided that I needed a little light exercise. T: Australian keyring, L: Golf tees
Found on spot easily. Geokid loves cache hunting. He picked a rose necklace for his sister and left a key ring. We always enjoy the view. Thanks for great view and great walk, The Cache Rangers.
Cant wait to take a trip down memory lane with this one. I used to live at Blythewood Farm the 1500 acre property that I suspect this cache is hidden on! I had a quick trip out there a while back and found that my farm has long gone, now a housing estate but there are no doubt still some traces of its existence. I wonder if the old airstrip is still there?
End of August - penciled heavily into my trip diary!!!!

Found easily after a great walk up the hill. Co-ords spot on and I walked directly to GZ there it was 'b4' me. The lid had come off the container and the contents were a little damp but no damage as they're all weather proof items. The logbook is bagged and thus no damage, maybe the next visitor could bring along some of those largish rubber bands or some string to secure the lid.
I also found a campfire ready to go not more than 30 meters from GZ and some small foil packets containing rubber items some used, some not . I'd suggest visitors hide the cache well as it seems the area is frequented by some locals.
Took - Nimble Thimbles
Left - Key purse and Sesame St. Character
Thanx for the hunt Cache Rangers.
