When we adopted this cache we decided it would be archived if there were any issues with it due to the proximity of the house next door that had just been completed. The cache is/was at the base of the tree on the house boundary. It was difficult to get to when we replaced it and is now probably buried beneath leaf litter etc. This particular place is no longer viable.
As cache has been archived we went and retrieved the container which was still there.
a wonderful holiday with findbobi in NZ - we had a great time caching- thanks for all the gret caches you placed for us
Did not know we needed to do bush wacking sadly found broken bird egg on the ground
Cache adopted, with permission, by andy.gail from 25/7/18.
Cache check - A good hunt but we could not find cache where we had previously found it. New cache put down and hint tweaked slightly. Please advise if you do find original cache.

A weekend in Nelson with The Seagnoid, Toby and Zara. With Twin Rivers walkway behind us, its back to Toby and explore the surrounding area.
These trees are heavenly??? Although not natives are still impressive. A house is being built next door so the Seagnoid was talking to the work crew and keeping the dog entertained while I scrambled around the tree. Snagged and tagged. Cheers

The hous building next door has progressed to the puting the chimney up. I had a quick talk to them - yes, they are well used to seeing people rummaging in the tree here. They know what we are up to. Ty, the dog came ofer to say hi too. Nice chap.
So yes, I spent most of the time yakking with the neighbours, while Taybeedragon got on with the task.

The new neighbours over the fence were busy so no problems here , nice spot ,had a wander round followed by a very friendly cat from next door im guessing Thanx4tc
There's a new house under construction really close to GZ and the new occupants were no doubt rather curious as these older women went crawling around the undergrowth! TFTC
Church number two and today's theme is becoming obvious. Friendly cat came to see what we were up to.
Beautiful day for caching. Had the added help of the on site geo cat!! We didn't need a clue -we were led straight to it!Tftc
Had a beautiful Burmese cat helping us. Loves attention. Struggled with this one but persisted and found it.
This could of taken some searching but i happened to enter the tree at just the right spot.
What a lovely spot and see it has been here since 2004 amazing. Actually had a visit from the local Siamese Cat beautiful animal just wanted to be friends
Thanks for the cache.
Thanks for the cache.
Have gone past here a bit and admired the trees but until now never stopped.
Thanks very much

Struggled with the 'rust' part then wahoo found it. A truly wonderful spot. TFTC.
As we have just moved in the area I thought I would show mum around and do some quick GC. Thanks for the spot
Oh dear - a prickly location - but not bad at all. Thanks and cheers from Grandalf(2376)
TFTC. Up in this lovely part of the world for a weekend with my fab girlfriends. However that kicks off tomorrow - what could I possibly do today????
I decided to focus on a few caches around Richmond and Brightwater on this beautiful sunny day.
I signed the log 29.11.15 by mistake it was the 27.11.15.
Thanks usakiwi for placing the cache.

Today is the weekend, yay, seems to have been a long week in work this week. The plan was hatched to go over to Nelson and Richmond and at the same time our daughter was travelling down from the North Island as a surprise for mrs capperz so only a quick trip over the hill, and only a limited amount of caches to be found in that time. Oh well, there's always next week, and the one after etc etc. We were in town at about 9 in the morning so actually made the most of the time anyway. First up I dropped off the passengers in Nelson and cached my way back from Wakapuaka to town in 45 minutes. After that we were off to Richmond and I had Brightwater in my sights, or Bright Eyes if you will. Hmmmm, sounds like a song.
Back out this way for the second time in a fortnight and encouraged after a recent Found It log. I approached the same way as last time but this time didn't go in so deep and sure enough there was the hint item, and there was the cache. Added in a Countdown domino and replaced as found
T F T C usakiwi, glad this church continues to have a cache which it so deserves

Think this ones gone. Checked all round the hint item, and found the iron, nothing doing
Needs an owner check.
Nice church though which deserves a cache and visit

We searched for bit, but I think the tree has grown significantly since the cache was placed. Likely still in there some place, but we couldn't get past the natural barriers for a good look.
Meant to do this one, but I could see the Vicar's car pulling into the church before me, so I decided that discretion was the better part of valour. Another time....(not 8.20 on a Sunday morning)!
Spontaneous find as Jr Juicy wasn't feeling well so we pulled over to get some fresh air & stretch our legs ..
While walking about it occurred to us there must be a cache hidden here, so while he searched using the 'where would I hide one' approach I ran back to car to get phone, and it turned out to be <5mtrs from where we met up again
Thanks usakiwi

#8401. Took a little while to locate the cache: initially searched in the wrong area, then got interrupted by a neighbour, then had trouble in the fading light / dense foliage. Eventually I located the cache and we could sign the log. TFTC.
After finding the cache in the cemetery just down the road, we had to stop by this delightful wee church to find this cache too. Unfortunately as it was dusk, the church was closed otherwise it would have been interesting to have a look inside.
A van was parked on the driveway next door, with the driver inside. We thought we were sufficiently far enough away to not attract attention, but we were wrong and next minute, the driver was out of his vehicle and walking towards us. It turned out that he thought we were looking at the paddock next to GZ which was for sale. We assured him that we weren't interested, but were looking for a geocache. Not sure if he understood what we were talking about, but he soon left us to carry on with our search.
A bit prickly at GZ, and was pleased when StreetWalker spotted the cache. TFTC.

We found this one on our "first day of the holidays" geocaching excursion. Number 8 for the day and a delightful spot. Grabbed the Jeep Trackable. Now we're off across the road. TFTC : )

One church, middle of (relative) no-where and MSEBN thought they'd have the place to themselves. But no, two photographers and someone else pulled up outside as soon as we'd crossed the wall into the grounds.
We probably looked a little odd paying excessive interest in one particular tree, but they paid us no notice whilst we foraged for the cache. S pinpointed it, whilst Master B held back the branches for Miss N to grab.
Dropped off the Red Jeep Travel Bug that's been with us now for a few weeks longer than is proper. Safe travels, little Jeep.

No sign of anyone else on this beautiful sunny day. An easy find but horrible to grab when sticks are poking, proding and ripping out your hair. Thanks for the cache

A straightforward find and no sign of any caretakers of the cache today. Liked the church building and the lovely old trees. TFTC
Found this one after being attacked by the very protective tree. Log was wet and in pieces so I replaced it.
Thanks for the cache!
Thanks for the cache!
Was in Nelson for an evening for work so needed to collect a few caches between rain (will admit the weather curtailed my activities as it was a bit nasty).
Soon located and on my way to future finds, another nice country church

8th find and favourite spot of the day. spent time contemplating the lives of the settlers. thank you for leading us here. First find of the day for Curious George. the Cache is very wet inside.
Found! What a beautiful church yard: I have never seen wooden grave stones before. Very cool. A great spot for local history and the starter of many history questions for us to research. TFTH! Water has got into the cache.
Two sets of rust - got stumped by the first one then sussed out the other ones location. Great spot.
lovely sunday afternoon, so took our 3 year old grandson hunting, he was happy to find this one TFTC
This was a good find today but the log was very wet and soggy and difficult to write on so it does need some maintenance.
With Sonia 26642 Back logging now for all my previous finds over the last 9 months....

We were on our way back from the long weekend out tramping in Kahurangi National Park, and we were picking up caches along some of the way back home to Chch.
A very very neat wee church. I love these cute old little churches!! And what I love also is that most of them have caches next to them!! Haha.
This was a nice quick easy find as the spot was pretty obvious. But did get stabbed a lot in the process!! And had to identify from the other side if the cache was actually there or not, as there was just way too many things trying to poke my eyes out!! Haha. Then it was a case of close eyes, and reach in. I was still pulling twigs out of my hair in Chch... hahaha.
TFTC!!

On a quest in the area and was passing, so stopped in for an easy find. Log is a bit damp and is full, but managed to squeeze my name in. TFTC
At the church for a wedding this afternoon so while the photos were being taken I snuck away and grabbed the cache. A quick find at a great old church however the log was quite wet and could do with replacing.

A beautiful sunny Nelson afternoon and after a lunch at the newly re opened Moutere Hills winery (highly recommended) headed off with Mrs MuzzaL53 navigating for some nearby caches. Nice easy find at another lovely old country church. TFTC
In town for a wee family holiday. Mr G grew up in Richmond. Wee dudes tucked up in bed, grandparents in charge. Evening run over & still some time on our hands. Time for some night car caching out Appleby way. Last of the night. We actually visited this church last year after reading about it in a book (Mrs G loooves churches)...at the time we came out and took some photos - and it was being cleaned so we got a guided walk through. Nice....Tonight we had the place (and almost the whole district?!) to ourselves. Took a bit of perserverance by torchlight but got there in the end. Thanks for bringing us back. Cheers.
Out on a night cache with Balded. Disturbed the resident in the tree, Cache quickly spotted by Balded
Out night caching with La Vista. This appeared on the gps as we were driving by so we stopped. Very quite place at night apart from the roosting bird that we disturbed. Sorry birdie.
Last stop before tea. We were in the right spot quickly, but took a bit of looking. The container is a bit wet, had no bags to replace wet ones. Paper a bit soggy too! Thanks

Quick find on a still winter afternoon of caching , Love these old country churches. Thanks for bringing us here,
Was passing while on a mission with Holymu. No caretakers were in residence but the find was not that hard. Who'd expect muggles at this remote location? Visited the graves of some relatives of 'She Who Must Be Obeyed'. Always nice to visit these out of the way places that carry so much history. Thanks!

A spur of the moment decision to call here today on the way to get a bit of fresh air at Eve's Valley. Found the cache easily enough as it wasn't behind the hint item but was returned to there after signing the log. We had to dodge muggles who appeared to be researching family history but we had a ready diversion, I too could visit relatives who have been long term residents here. Thank you for bringing me back here and thank you too for the cache.
