Went to get this today, thinking it looked fabulous - interesting multi. I was very disheartened to get part way through the process and then realise - it's not there. CO hasn't heeded NM's of nine months ago, it's time for this listing to not show up anymore
After confirming with several past finders this cache is definitely missing in action. It hasn't been found since April. CO has been unresponsive to contact made. Hopefully this cache can be saved as there has obviously been a lot of work put into setting it up. All is ok except final at GZ no longer there.
I spent quite a long time on this hot day dutifully gathering the required WP info and enjoyed the tour it took me on.
After finally collecting and calculating and counting I headed off to a very plausible GZ. There were a few likely hiding spots and I spent a bit of time at each, and like others I went over, under and around. All to no avail it seems.
This cache is very unloved and hasn't been found since April, but it was still playing hard to get.
After consulting with previous finders my concentrated GZ was correct, so I spent an even longer time searching there to no avail.
Heartbreaking!

Found tonight after work, I am on a personal challenge to get 30/30/30 multi/puzz/trad for the month of April . I am on track so far! This multi was a lot of work for a 1/1, with all information gathered the walk to GZ was pleasant and cache was found in the first place I poked, phew A well put together multi that provided me an education of the area that I would never have known if it weren't for caching , thanks
After a nice trek around with Master Five and Miss Nearly-Two we found the cache. Thanks for a great trail which would have taken a lot of effort to create. We're the first to find this cache in 2015
Spiffy- and I headed out for our Sunday cache run. Originally we intended to go to the bay but last minute changed to go back towards the Woodlands to find some airport caches and also this multi. When we set out we didn't realise it had 10 WP's but we were committed and the cache was unloved. Negotiated some muggles at various points and took some pictures to work out clues in our car. Turns out GZ was a familiar area to us having cached nearby before. A short search after first taking the wrong path and the log was signed. Thanks uncle Jiffy for the cache and the history tour.
Another Sunday afternoon and my buddy suggested he wanted to go over near the airport so who was I to say no so off we went. We tried to finish off one area and then moved in to do a few more woodlands caches.
Didn't realize this would be such a long adventure when we started but since my buddy needed the unloved days we continued on our way gathering clues, and clues, and clues until finally a short walk later my bnuddy made the find while he looked one side and I looked the other. Wow, that was a lot of clues and calculations for a D/T of 1/1. Phew.
Thanks Uncle Jiffy for the cache, the hunt and the fun.

On a day off from work and dropping off a package in Tullamarine, what better than a pleasant stroll around Keilor.
Took longer than first anticipated but it was nice to do an old fashioned long multicache.
Thanks for the history lesson, the pleasant walk and the cache Uncle Jiffy

On our cache a day until we decide to stop this cache was on the list to finish. Work has bought me to this side of the city and we had collected and re-collected the clues for this cache over 9 years. Today was final day and confident I had all the right numbers i made my way to the cache GZ.
It did take a bit longer than I expected to find the cache and at one stage I was looking straight at a snake some short distance away face to face. Fortunately the GPS settled and it pointed to another location which after some caution the cache was found and logged.
Our sincere thanks to Uncle Jiffy for the cache this is a cache was are proud to finally log and deserves a favorite point.

Some really lovely places on this trip that I didn't realise were in the area. Loved the history. Tricky little find at the end though so kept us on our toes. TFTC
Signed the log with a stick, due to eventually losing our pen (it was in my hand and I somehow lost it - geo-husband was "NOT HAPPY JAN") - Sorry

This was a very interesting and informative multi but boy I made hard work of it! I think I entered wrong coordinates at least half of the time by not concentrating. In my defence there were a lot of numbers and coordinates tho. Still , it took me to some interesting places and the journey was well worth it. Got there in the end and even the final was a tricky little hide. Thanks for showing me around the area. Took TB.
I solved this one mostly using street view, however it was pleasant driving past the different sites to retrieve the cleverly hidden cache. Signed the log and left a TB for the next visitor. Thanks for a great multi.
Had done the groundwork here in dribs and drabs a while ago, and today was a chance to finally cross this one off. So many levels at GZ meant it took a bit to finally close in on the prize. But with the help of the torch on the android, I spied the little sucker. Thanks for the history Uncle Jiffy
Had an appointment nearby and seeing as it was a long way from home, we decided to do a couple of caches. We had picked out a few to do but unfortunately this one took way longer that expected so it ended up being the only one for the day. Thoroughly enjoyed it as we gathered all the information. Thanks for the fun 'Uncle Jiffy'
I calculated the GZ location going by all the multi clues from the comforts of home, many months back, so it was high time to visit the actual area and look for the cache. It sounded a bit worrying going by recent logs, in terms of finding the cache, however I had my torch and iPhone out, so I could look around and behind some dark tight corners, and soon spotted the cache. Good to have found another older cache, and save plenty of time in the process.
After completing the various stages of this history tour of a lovely little town, was unable to loacte the cache at the GZ. Appears from others logs that maintenance in the area has been occuring, and did come across a white scew top container laying in the open, but nothing inside to suggest if it had previously been the cahce or not. Sill a pleasant time spent taking in this delightful area.
What an excellent way to explore the area, there are some really great places along the way. I had not been here before and was pleased to learn some of the history. There is a lovely feel about the place. The choice of GZ was a picturesque spot and the cache was found with co-ords that were spot on for me today. Thanks Uncle Jiffy for the cache.
It ended up being a pretty big caching day today with a 200 km drive from the Mornington Peninsula up to the eastern Bendigo region, namely around Wellsford, Forestville and Mount Sugarloaf. My main aim for the day was to reach my 5000th cache find, and hopefully finding the 'Milestone Challenge - 5000 Finds' cache as number 5000. Once the challenge caches were done it was off to Mount Sugarloaf for some 4X4 action before meeting up with my TDC compadre Trailrunning as we spent a few hours and tackled the 'Smiley face' series of caches.
Once we had completed that it was back to Melbourne to join up with the third TDC member Blacklegend with whome we had some dinner with before setting of again and caching on into the night. I had a great day and did find my 5000th cache, and some.
With Bendigo done it was back to Melbourne and TDC caching again. With some WPs on foot and others online, tonight we could go to the GZ that we had stored away. A great GZ and thanks for the hide.

A limited TDC run with the boys this week. Met up with them after they had completed their Bendigo caching activities for dinner then a small caching run. I needed to be up very early the next morning, so not a bad thing this time. Got to do some new caches and visit some I had done in the past, which was ok as well. Overall, while a short night, a satisfying one.
TR is indeed a master of online research... This one was no exception. With all the hard work done, it was a simple matter of collection the cache at GZ. TFTC, nice one.

My caching days are few and far between, so when I actually get to go caching, it always seems to come at a rush. Today was no exception. I started out in the Bendigo area (it seems I was only here a few days ago!) to meet up with Quasar3671 to take on the Smiley Face series out this way. As Blacklegend and I had done some of the caches in the area, Quasar3671 started earlier in the morning to pick up a few, and then we met at about 1 pm before tackling the caches Blacklegend had already completed. After about 4-5 hours of caching those were done and dusted we moved south to the outer Northwest of Melbourne to meet up with Blacklegend for dinner and to start the TDC run. By the end of the night I had picked up 46 or so caches for the day and I was ready to head home to bed.
What a lovely GZ. I had worked on this one from online resources and had a plausible GZ that proved correct. After a short walk we were soon searching and the cache was found, but only after we dropped it, and needed to retrieve it with a stick. Thanks.

Our first night multicache and our last one for the evening too! Thanks for leading us on a historical tour of Keilor. Another fantastic cache, well hidden and inventive. The council are doing repairs in this area, so at first, B1 & B2, were reluctant to hunt for cache. But B1 was soon persuaded by curiosity and found cache. Thanks Uncle Jiffy for a terrific cache.

Drove the first few clues, then parked by the 4th to enjoy a walk in the sunshine as the morning warmed up.
A slight hitch at the 6th point... there's an empty mount on the wall. Fortunately, one of the subsequent clue spots that rely on that information is just nearby, so it was possible to work backward for the needed number.
Back on track, I was soon at GZ, where renovation is occurring, though I was able to get to the cache and sign the log.
Thanks, Uncle Jiffy, for a multi that highlights the history of the area, and the thrill of the chase.

Finally got around to doing this cache.
I have to congratulate Uncle Jiffy on a great multi cache.
It took me a little longer than I would have thought, but must say that I found it both challenging and enjoyable as welll.
The cache was easy find, once the final co-ords were revealed.
This has to be one if my favourites multi caches that I have done.

So many visits to Melbourne. This cache has taken ages to complete. The bridge is looking in fine condition. I would happily drive the Pahero over the truss.
After a fair few visits with the frog, we finally nailed this one today. The bridge is looking a picture with fine thick new planks already for the masses. The cache was dry and tucked away very safe from working muggles. Our thanx for the work on this cache.
Thanks to Uncle Jiffy and clear skies from TeamAstro.

Having lived nearby about 35 years ago, added more significance to the historical sites at each of the waypoints. The clever way in which the combinations of letters and numbers changed subtly along the way added to the enjoyment of completing this cache. Definitely earns one of our favourite points.
NOTE TO CO: With 11 waypoints to find, we wonder if this cache should be allocated a higher Difficulty rating.
TNLN . . SL . . Thanks for the hunt Uncle Jiffy.

PS: This cache is a minor milestone for us - completes the Alphabetic section of our Alphanumeric Challenge - see our profile page.

Having lived in the area most of my life, and being very fond of the history, I had a bit of an advantage with this one But doing my research before hand, the first clue stopped me, until I realised everything was written on the board anyway. Doh!!!
Thanks for the journey Uncle Jiffy. Ireally enjoyed the morning spent

3.20pm Out and about with 1/2 of 80degrees team today. Knowing how borhe injured one would be we thought a airing was called for. Mrs 80degrees may be grounded but that did not stop the wicked list to appear. This was our third and a good day for it. It took longer and then project time as we needed that...stop on the way. Loved all the history that we read about. I would love to see our area be so proud of the history we have as this area does. Well worth taking the time to do this one.
On Mrs 80degress sorting out all the clues the xambos took off at GZ. The old 50% chance of picking right option first ruled. We needed to tack the option to secure the find. It was the obvious one if we thought about it.
Great history lesson
Thanks Uncle Jiffy for the cache.

Found at 3.20pm Today was the first big day out for Mrs80 after her caching accident. Mr80 was at work for the day so headed out with the xamo4u team. This was the perfect cache for today. MrX drove us from point to point where we read the signs and collected the correct information. An interesting tour around the area with a great record of the areas history to be found. Was intending to do the whole cache by bike
got from area 1 to area 2 on Saturday and stopped and did the rest today
gz is having works and blocked off but the cache is still accessible with a stick or long arms .
Uncle Jiffy thanks for this journey through Keilor's history

Uncle Jiffy thanks for this journey through Keilor's history
Enjoyed the relaxing wander around the village and the history. Thanks Uncle Jiffy for the cache (and the hint when I hit a brick wall!)
While not from Keilor itself, we've always been close enough to consider ourselves locals. While we were partially aware of it's history, this exercise has opened our eyes to how rich the history is. We thoroughly enjoyed it from beginning to end. Even Mas0n jnr had lots of good questions only a ten year old would ask. We swapped a marble for a magnet and signed the log. TFTC
After a great little tour of this area I parked in the same spot to walk to GZ as I was stopped in earlier when I decided I would do this cache. All of the waypoints where straight forward and interesting, the cache proved a little tricky to find but I eventually found it.
Thanks.
Thanks.
We had all but the last WP details a few months ago but the weather has been rotten so kept passing on the final find.
Today the sun was brilliant. Big YAY!!!! for spring. So we headed off amongst the lovely yellow flowers to GZ. A fairly easy find following a lovely tour. Jester has been a local all his life and didn't know most the history either.
If any one's up for a slight walk I do recommend going under the bridges to take at look at the markers and how high the river used to get.
P.S if you have obsessive compulsive disorder (like lil' ol' happy) it might take a bit longer to get to ground zone 'cos of all the clover and the need to count the leaves

I am so cross with myself for taking so long to get around to doing this cache. There is some fantastic history here. I'd always thought of Keilor as a sort of Johnny-come-recently to suburbia ... which is true, as far as suburbia is concerned, but quite false as far as its semi-rural history is concerned. This cache highlights some wonderful buildings and stories, and I really enjoyed all the stages.
Actually there was one stage I nearly hated. GZ. I'd started the cache late in the afternoon and done four others on the way, and so it was well and truly dark by the time I reached the last location. I did the full Sesame St thing: over, under, through, around. I did terrain 3 things by torchlight. And I checked "there" several times because it seemed the right place. Just as I was about to give up (having spent waaaaay too long on the search), a probe with a stick and a shine of the torch revealed the very nice cache. Thanks Uncle Jiffy, history was indeed revealed. (My geocoin passes through in tribute.)

Located @ 1415hrs after reaching final location some time ago but arrived too late on that occassion as it was too dark to search for the cache.

Big day for us with this. Worked out and got it. Very interested about history.. Found it with Alchemy2 and Laker63 TFTC
Completed the first 3 on bike whilst getting in the area. I then got the next 2 after I got back to the car, but I did need to get home (Tarneit) so I couldn't get the remainder. Will hopefully not loose the answers I have got.
Loved the home at WP3 (opposite the school).

Well we now know Keilor from A to Zinc (well A to T anyway)
As you know we enjoy our history and most of our caches are history based so this was a very enjoyable afternoon tour around historic Keilor gaining a lot of information from the well placed, informative and surprisingly graffiti free picture boards.
This cache certainly must really annoy the numbers chasers amongst the caching fraternity. To have this one on your ‘nearest unfound’ list and knowing they had to commit at least an hour to achieve one smiley must hurt. Thankfully we are not in that category so no problems spending over two hours on a glorious Autumn afternoon.
As with other finders the only question at gz was the elevation and of course Murphy got involved and we zigged when we should have zagged but all ended well. Perhaps the securing device could be upgraded to a later model as it didn’t really give confidence that it would securely locate the cache but I suppose it has stood the test of time.

Found by v93 on 22/04/2010 at 5.57 PM. After all the running around, it was all worth it. In: Craft Bells. Out: Toy Car. Enjoyed the history of the place. Thanks for the cache!
Wow, what a big one. Found where GZ was yesterday but lots of kids wagging school very close. Came back today and got it.
Finished all the waypoints today but found GZ to be the hangout for kids wagging school. Will come back another time.
What a walk! TFTC! We enjoyed every second of it great to learn some history of this part of melbourne!
I'd seen this on the listings that close to me ever since I started geocaching in early September. I hadn't done it because it looked like it required some committment - a multi-multi! However, I did grow up in Keilor in the late '60's and '70s (lived in Arabin Street) and wanted to re-visit some old stamping grounds for the first time in all the intervening years.
I throughly enjoyed this. I knew that Keilor was a Caroline Chisolm shelter place and that the pub was old but I never appreciated the amount of history surrounding me. A pity that the school didn't use this in our history lessons - however I do recall going down to the Old Lagoon for a nature walk and catching tadpoles. "Old Ironsides", the old Iron Bridge, was aslo a favourite place to visit although I'm sure my parents would have freaked out if they knew I was down near the river considering I couldn't swim.
Interestingly this cache has been disturbed. Electricians working in the area installing lights have accidently found this on 30/7/09 - however they placed an entry in the logbook and left a small electical fitting and some electrical tape (and wished us all good luck)!!! I took a picture of the note but I won't post it as it reveals the hiding place (in general terms). However, they didn't replace the container in its (supposed) original position and instead I found it among a group of old plastic bags and other rubbish (but still out of the weather and directly below what I believe to be the original hiding placement). I've put it back where I think it belongs and also replaced the plastic sealed bag containing the logbook (the old one was ripped).
Took a little plastic soldier with a basooka (I used to have one just like this around the time I lived here) and placed in a pull-back car and a retractable tape measure. I also removed the tape the electricians left as it was overfilling the container.
TFTC and the re-visiting of part of my growing up - and in an historical context.

The first bit had us scratching our head...which way is West???, but great look around the area. should have stopped at the pub for lunch though!!
Finally finished this one off - had lots of fun touring Keilor and learning about its early history. An easy find (once we had the right spot). Thanks Uncle Jiffy. TNLN.
How do you eat an elephant?
In pieces.
And that's how I did this cache...in pieces.
I have been going out in my lunch break and doing a few steps at a time.
Finally after reaching GZ I stumbled a bit but recovered the cache once I knew what I was looking for.
Thanks Uncle Jiffy for the adventure.

After just doing the nearby "Meccano Crossing", I was feeling a bit footsore and not at all in the mood for a mega-multi - but it was my last unfound cache for miles around, so I figured I'd better just do it. Actually, after the first couple of wps, I was surprised at how quickly the time (and wps) passed and, before I knew it - I was at the final GZ where the cache was a quick find after a change of altitude .
TNLN
Thanks Uncle Jiffy - despite my tiredness, I really rather enjoyed the whole trip and was quite impressed with the little village of Keilor (surrounded on all sides, as it appears to be, by bushland) - it looks like a very peaceful spot to live.

Found at 6pm this hot summer evening. So pleased to get this one, our closest unfound to home. So many numbers in this multi, but it was worthwhile. We still don't know what a "bay nave" is, but we were able to deduce how many there were! We spent quite a while searching GZ at the wrong altitude, but didn't take long to find the cache after correcting that mistake. Thanks for the great history lesson, Uncle Jiffy! TNLNSL.
We have been past here often enough but with never enough time to set aside to pursue this cache. Today we made sure that we did just that. We thoroughly enjoyed collecting all the required information, reading all the history boards including some extra's that weren't on the cache page and thought that gz was at a great spot to finish
The cache container had obviously moved from it's original location. This made it little bit harder to retrieve but we replaced it where we think it belongs
Took clip
Left battery holder
Thanks Uncle Jiffy for a well thought out enjoyable cache

A great history lesson of the area even though the need for long calculations wore a bit thin at the end. Found in the opposite location to where my GPSr was pointing.

After deciding what a Bay Nave was, we were off and the rest was easy. Pleasant little historical tour. Dropped off 2 Geocoins. Replaced cache container also as it had fallen down.
This took much longer than I had hoped, but I finally logged it late in the evening with a little bit of help. The journey was quite interesting, and the final cache location was well hidden.
Thanks,

Last of 10 finds today and I didn't expect to finish this one but once started I couldn't stop. All the sums fell into place and then off to gz where cache awaited in one of the first places I looked. thanks uncle Jiffy for history that I didn't know existed out here.
Enjoyed the tour of the area, learning soem history as I went. The need to repeatedly recalculate numbers wore a bit - on one occasion I had walked to the next point by the time I'd loaded it into the GPS! The hide was a good logical place and found without much trouble at all. Thanks for the major effort and the cache Uncle Jiffy. Took Butterfly, left cow.
Found at 8:30 my second cache for the morning after dropping my brother off at the air port.
I just love ten point multi caches; I wish they were all like this [xx(]. I really enjoyed all of the locations I visited the only let down was there was no cemetery. My favorite was the gate keepers cottage, I could not imagine what it would be like bringing up three children in this very small house; makes you realize how well off you are. I got a little stuck on N as there were two times but I went with the most logical one. I like the cache container.
Thanks for the tour of Keilor.

Found @ 18:15. We gave it one more try after I picked Penny up from work.
We've lost count of the times we have actually looked in and around that particular hiding spot (as well as over under around and through the entire GZ).
TN. Left some swim goggles & SL
(We also took the TB as we can add some miles in the near future.)
Thanks Uncle Jiffy for the challenge.

Dear Uncle Jiffy,
This one had been on our radar for some time and we finally got to this spot early enough to attempt it today. We weren't entirely sure what a bay nave was so we had to guess our way to WP2. A couple more times during the hunt we had to reverse engineer a couple of the numbers. We finally found the cache at at 4:15pm. Thanks for the cache. This was our third cache of 10 for the day. By the way, there is a very nasty looking travel bug in your cache which has been there for over 7 months and I can see why no-one is shifting it. We left it there too as it reminded me of a cache that I found a real one in last year.
Kind regards,
D, H & A B-A

Took two visits to find this one. Once found it was hard to believe that I had so much trouble. Took nothing, left a good impression.
Thanks Uncle Jiffy

Found at 1.50pm GAFF1. A nice way of exploring the town and learning about the history. Thanks Uncle Jiffy for an interesting cache. Found in the second place I looked. Took: Bee, Left: Clip.
Found at 3:58pm.
I thought if I did this cache by car it would only take about half an hour or so, Had a little trouble with question K so 1 hour and 45 minutes later the cache was in hand. Not a total waste of time though as my lessons in history was inriched once again.
In:-Car, Out:-Mondo Doll, Signed Log.

This was my fifth of nine finds today. Took me somewhat longer than the 40 min or so suggested. I lost my way a little in the middle but after a bit of carefull thinking I was away again and eventually had the cache in hand.
I must say the cache itself took some finding. (Is it up or down was the question, to which the answer is---I'm not saying)
Took a lizard and left a pencil sharpener.
Thanks again Mr Jiffy for an interesting history lesson.

Found by Roma and Max.
One thing this cache revealed to us was that we should have started the search earlier in the day.
A very enjoyable and informative tour and very well executed by the owner.
We took a Wooden Stress Ball and left a Mondo Figurine.
Thanks Uncle Jiffy, we have had this one on our must do list since we found it's successor some time ago.

Found by Jonty and Desert Dingo on the second pass.
Got to GZ on first try but not prepared to reach into places where we could not see what was inside.
Came back the next day with torch and gloves ready to do battle with spiders and snakes if necessary and found the container with no difficulty.
Unfortunately the contents were a mess, as someone had left a broken biro inside, and blue ink had leaked over everything. Cleaned it up with some difficulty and it is OK again now.
Took the Egyptian figure and left a lizard.
Thanks for the history lesson from J & DD

A very well done Cache! All the waypoints were fantastic, Especially the second one, What a beautiful building. Thyla had only just made a comment to Thylo about a certain item near GZ on our way to the second waypoint. We both enjoyed this one, and look forward to doing History Revealed II when we have more time.

Found by Ray and Maya at 3:20PM on the 12th of June. This was a great historical tour of the area, with a minor comedy interlude. All went smoothly till we were at location 8. Parking was a bit restrictive in the narrow street so we parked on the nature strip across the street from the particular GZ, behind another car. There were several cars parked that way, seemed like the locals had no problem with it. We had retrieved the information and were calculating the next destination when the driver of a car, which exited from the house behind the servo, gave us the third degree for stopping there. Accused us of checking out the car we had parked behind. That guy’s a case for ulcers, wonder if he’s that edgy about other people's cars parked at the shopping center. As if a restored classic XW Ford owner would be interested in the equivalent of a German Holden. The rest of the tour went without further distraction and we found the cache without difficulty. We took the butterflies and left a figurine. Thanks from The Nomads.
A great historical walk on a sunny afternoon. It has been a while since I came down the road (since they built the calder freeway). I was hoping that the tour would include the old iron bridge. I'm also glad that the first stop described what bay naves were.
Took: Budda Keyring, Left Nabber's TB.
Thanks, Robmc.

This one was a no find. breezed through the multi wp's and ended at gz. We looked in every obvious spot then tried looking in odd places but with no luck. Maybe uncle Jiffy should take a look at this cache. Possibly its been muggled.
After picking up WP1 on 12/2/05 and being on my way down to Sleepy Hollow with caching along the way on 19/2/05, I thought that it would be a great opportunity to pick up WP2. Well, that lead to WP3 then WP4 and, well you get the picture. (This activity would however cost me a FTF in Geelong (D'oh) but that's another story.)
On arriving at GZ, Geko was showing two possibilities, one of which might have been a no go as a result of recent events. Not having checked the validity of the cache before leaving home, I gave both possibilities a cursory look and headed off until I could, at least, check that it was still alive.
Alsume, however, gave me a confirmation hint of the location and on the way home I went straight to GZ and found the cache in an instant at 19:25. (How could I have missed it yesterday ).
A keyring Buddha went in for a squishy-head guy (out). Thanks for a comprehensive history tour Uncle Jiffy.

Found at approx 8pm. Took the history tour and all was revealed. The final cache location eluded us for a little while, but we were on the right track and made the find.

Started this one last Friday but ran out of time on the day. Glad to finish it off with Mum and Dad today (around 1400)...
A lovely history tour through the area and thoroughly enjoyed the multi-cache... We had a bit of confusion between steps 6 & 7 but figured it out in the end...
took crazy eights card game... left magnetic key lock...

Found by Mary & David at 1405 with Justin along for company. This was the second on our cache list today that Justin had previously begun on his own. We elected to go over his tracks again, though, to see the historical spots for ourselves. A moment or two of confusion at the eighth location which turned out to be an error on our part, but we realised where we were supposed to be and soon sorted things out. A few hiding spots to check out at the final GZ and we missed it on the first pass. Didn't take too long to find after that though. Took small padlock, left wooden top and pair of butterfly hair clips. Our thanks to Uncle Jiffy for the interesting historical tour.
Found by Wine Timers at 1220 on 27/8/04.
What a beauty!! This one should be a 5 Star for difficulty.
I started 5 days ago during lunch breaks from work. Got a little stumped at waypoint 3. Jumped in too soon (You need to read entire story not a clue at a time).
Found GZ on the 25 August 2004 but took another two days six visits and many hours to find cache. The clue is to believe your GPS and not where you think is a likely spot.
Took TB Jeep and alien parachutist
Left Bubbles
Thanks Great Cache Uncle Jiffy

Picked up a Jeep TB from Aeroplane FLyover just to see what it looked like. Looks like a Jeep.
As Aussies can't enter the competition, I've left this TB in the same general area for your caching enjoyment.

I didn't realise that Keilor had so many historical sites. I'm not sure I wanted to see so many of them in one day! Still, it was a good day for it. My niece was married in the church at the first waypoint--on that day the temperature was 40ºC; not great weather for a suit.
I was a bit confused at WP6. Future cachers note: the time required is for a Sunday departure.
I arrived at GZ, and started looking in the obvious spots while my GPSr averaged. When that failed, I zeroed in on the spot with the GPSr. When that failed, I pulled out my other GPSr to get a second opinion. When that failed (45 minutes had slipped past by this time) I remembered my experience at Biggles Bear's "Operation: Market Garden". D'oh! A further 10 minutes later, I was starting to wonder if my second guess was correct. Hmmmmm! Time to ring the muzza hint line. At least he confirmed that I was looking in the correct place now, but he indicated that the cache was in a place I'd already checked. "No. It's not there; I've already looked!" 'Nuff said. A second, more thorough look revealed the cache. Don't you hate it when the cache is in a place where you've already looked? [B)]
I took the TB to make some room in the cache.
IN: Toy soldier, small brass padlock
OUT: Mondo figure, Keeper of the Keys TB

Found this one at 1:50 after an enjoyable and interesting driving/walking lesson in history. The rain held off during the times I was on foot, allowing me enough time to retrieve the cache, make my log, and return to my car.
I took a green crab (mainly to make more room) and left a miniature porcelain doll. Thanks, Uncle Jiffy, for an interesting roam around an unknown area.

I saw this cache on my list this morning and thought I would just have to do it. Then I looked at the number of waypoints. Oh my! In previous large multi's I've always had a problem with maths, so I though I would take this one nice and easy.
Started around 11:50 and finished around 12:50, so it took about an hour not including finding the actual cache.
My GPSr was reading a little off most of the co-ordinates for this cache, but the locations are all pretty easily spotted so no mistakes were made there.
Of course, I mucked up the maths, but no biggie, I was soon back on the Historial Tour.
This cache provided me an opporunity to revist an area that I haven't been through in many, many years and ended up at a place I had often seen in the past but had never had an opportunity to stop at. I'm glad I did this cache for that reason alone, not to take anything away from the historical elements of this cache trail.
The cache was in hand after about 15 minutes of searching.
I took a mammoth and left a bouncy ball.
A very well thought through and interesting cache chase.
Thanks Uncle Jiffy.
