Sadly I have to add to the recent chorus of DNFs. I did find a black cover close to GZ but there was nothing under it. Had a fairly good look around other likely hiding spots but came up with nothing.

27-Mar-17
Decided to take the opportunity to head up north for a few caches - including a few short bush caches since the rain has finally stopped.
Target was around Mount White where I tried to clear out all but the high terrain long bushwalk hides.

Went for nine and found eight - and the DNF was half expected due to the most recent logs.
###END OF CUT AND PASTE SECTION###
And here was the DNF.

Great views from a few spots but the one view I was pursuing was not found. Plenty of possible hidey holes were checked, but like the previous DNFer I did find the hint object, however no cache was to be seen.
Had a bit of a scout around just in case muggles had thrown it somewhere, but nothing cache-like spotted.

04-Mar-17
Another break in the weather and I dragged Azzepious up north to find this one. We both searched for a good while with no luck. We found the possible hiding location and the clue related object but no cache. With the size of the cache and the extensive search we did, pretty sure it has somehow been muggled which is a shame.

With a nice gap in the wet weather I headed up the coast for some caching. Made my way to GZ and found the clue related object, but it looks like it might have been thrown from its original position. The rain returned suspending my search for another time.

We drove down to check out the campground down below, which was not really our style but might be okay for a weekend caching in the area (we've been spoilt by remote 4wd camping!). Anyway, about half way back up we came across a caravan on the way down and ended up reversing all the way back down! Subsequently, we bypassed the other nearby cache along the track in case someone else came along. There was no way we were going to miss this one though, and what a stunning lookout it is too. Wow! Thanks GeoMonkeys for taking us to such a super spot! TFTC!
Cheers,

I was planning to grab this cache ages ago when it was unloved, but once that went, it fell off the radar. Unfortunately I picked a miserable drizzly spring day to visit, but the view was still awesome. Didn't have too much trouble finding the cache given the hints on other logs. Certainly can't miss it if you are in the right area.

Found on a trip to Sydney with BillHill531 to find a few caches on my short list. We started out strong, then lost sight of things when we spent way too long on a multi we did not even finish. Ending with six finds and that one incomplete.
This one was our second stop. It was on the list as it is such an oldie and a new placed month for me. I came out here recently, but our Hawkesbury Heights caches took us out, so did not have time then. Great view from where we parked the car. I will not say how long it took to find this large cache, as it is just embarrassing. Favorite point for this all round great cache.
Thanks for keeping so many of your golden oldies going!

After finding breathless earlier than anticipated, I had some time up my sleeve , so pulled of the M1 and stopped at the crossroads to look at my gps, Then this man came up to my window and scared the bejeevers out of me. He wanted directions to Brisbane, I thought it a little strange being stopped at Mount white on the way to Brisbane I gave him the right directions [ I hope ] then I went looking for this cache, I was a little dissapointed by the rubbish dumped near the parking area but happy with natures view. I can honestly say this is the biggest cache container I have ever found . Thanks for the cache Geomonkeys tnln sl left a fav point for the massive container

29-Apr-16
The GPS was sending us all over the place, but luckily the cache was big enough to spot anyway.
Great views of the Hawkesbury.

01-Sep-15
Taking a slow route to Gosford, had to make a detour to this old cache. Hadn't managed to pick one up from this month/year before. And had the bonus of being a type I like - a large container in the bush!

17-Aug-15
What a fantastic view!
After a short search, the container was soon discovered. All in good condition and dry.
Back home, I did some research and I now know why the size of the cache............Steve was a big boy!! I think I have seen him somewhere.......maybe at the Stanthorpe Mega last April?

Returning from work on Central cost and pulled in for a look. View from near GZ is quite spectacular with the Hawkesbury winding its way through the hills. GPS had me chasing tails down the slope a bit before I turned around and spotted the cover. Signed the log and returned. About 15m at GZ but perhpas its my GPS? Thanks for the diversion.

6/07/14. 4:42 PM. Cache #1674. Yelyac & I were heading back to Sydney after a weekend at my parents' place in Green Point. On the way home I took a detour via the Wendoree Park / Mount White area to get 5 more caches for the day. After "Peanut Butter Slide", Yelyac & I trudged our way back up the hills, past the car to the start of the bush bash; luckily a short and reasonably thin one. Then our scramble down to GZ. The iPhone sent me in a couple of short circles before Yelyac made the find. What a whopper!!! As with PBRS, we were also the second cachers to find this one in 2014.

We were starting to lose daylight quickly, so put it all back and scrambled back up to the car before the zombies come out. Then back to Mount White - "The Cross Roads" was next (which along with "Mt White Creek" I note was found by Pesky today!!!) TFTC }:)

07-Jan-14
As I approached the GZ there was a foul odour in the air. As I got closer the smell got worse and the steady humm of flies could be heard. Was it rotting zombie flesh? I didn't waste time at this site to find out. Spotted the hide and signed the log before a quick exit. Thankfully this was the largest cache I have seen so far!

As i exited past a cave I felt a scratch on my leg but dismissed it in my haste to get out of the area. At the car I noticed there was something odd about this scratch... Now as I sit here at home looking at the scratch it seems to have somehow gotten bigger, much bigger, as if it is spreading? The colour of it looks a little funny also... I better go, I have a strange and strong appetite to test out the David "wolfman" Williams (manly rugby league player) diet of raw meat... [XX(]

ALWAYS NICE to find a Large cache! Having just found another old one by the Geo Monkeys it was time to go and get another. Thanks for keeping them going.

07-Oct-13
From when I started looking at Geocaching as a good use of my Foretrex 101 (wrist mounted GPSr, like a Dick Tracy communicator!) back in December 2006 I had had this one on my to do wish list. Finally had a bit of spare time to get out from the Highway and find it. With a friend living just down below I'm surprised that I haven't got there earlier.
Nice views even at that hour. Found it @ 0300, so another for the Night Caching elective book mark!
Found it about 10m from GZ, so no CSM! TNLN
Took: Mr Happy TB
Brought through for mileage: 3 Bros, Aust Light Houses, BEAGLE BIXBY, B 2 B ingot, Homer J TB, Iconic Bridges, Just Monkeying Around Oz, Little Moo, Lulu the Ladybug Travel Tag, PAP, Play Well, Trackabulldog, Travel Hard TB, cache critters Baa, Neigh Neddy, and Oink, and trackable shirt.

We always like a large cache and this one did not disappoint. We parked nearby and wandered over to see the impressive views. Then off to GZ pushing through a little bit of light bush and a very rock hops. An easy find under the outer shell once in the right spot. More great views. We completed the signing duties and re hid after dropping in a travel bug. TFTC.

Grabbed this one while working nearby enjoyed the walk down to get a quick find Thanks for the cache what a veiw from near here

We had some amazing views from where we parked, and a quick stroll to the GZ. The cache proved a little elusive given its size, but was found soon enough. The GPS indicated 8 or 9 meters South from GZ but given the tree cover this was not surprising. We had uncovered a well stocked cache and soon had the log book signed. TNLN, TFTC.

Despite it the size of this cache, it took us a bit of time to find. The view from the look out nearby is fantastic. Great cache. Thank you.

WoW what a view indeed! Cool Don't grab the cache and run for this one, do a little exploration, you'll be well rewarded. Had some young blokes appear in their cars right after I arrived, didn't feel safe enough to do the nearby cache some 300m away. No way my low ride was going down that road. Surprisingly, this large cache is still here, I'd of thought some muggle would toss it.

Finding the general location of this cache wasn't too difficult, however the fact it had been raining all day made romping through the bush to get it an interesting challenge - all those bushes covered in all that water had the three of us soaked to the bone by th time we found the cache.

Absolutely magnificent view, in spite of the poor weather.

After doing some 4WDing in Popran National Park for work it was a nice early finish and time to grab some caches before heading back to Sydney. This was the closest. Arrived to find it a popular spot for lunch with 2 cars and a motorcycle parked there. Managed to make my way to the cache unseen however and found it after a short search. Left a TB, certainly great views from this spot. Thanks GeoMonkeys.

18-Jul-09
We noticed that according to our GPS's it was about 8 metres away. But, yes, it was certanly a monster cache. Left a golfball and a tape measure and took a frog.

04-Jul-09
Found this one at 2:50pm. Initially had a typo in the co-ords which had us a little off but once we were back on track it didn't take us too long. Huge Log book and cache, in a very peaceful location. The lifestyle out here must be very different.

This was our only DNF out of six attempts today. Our time was limited here today, and after trudging through the bush to get to GZ, we couldn't locate the object mentioned in the hint. We did find part of a cars exhaust pipe, if that counts for anything?

Had to abandon search after 30 minutes. Will be back.

This was our first opportunity to do a little caching in this area and our first find on the Central Coast did not disappoint. Only finding out the previous day that we were heading up this way meant we didn't have much time to prepare, so we headed into this one 'blind' with no info, just the co-ordinates. We decided to phone a sister and found out the size, difficulty and terrain and then we were on our way. Found co-ord's to be only 1.5-2m out, so nothing to worry about.
TNLN, thanks for the oppotunity to visit such an area.

28-Jul-08
Eureka, when we first entered this game this cache was one our first, but as we did not have the GPS it was hours of searching the area.So it was put on the watch list to see if any more finds would come about as in some of the logs there was mention of co-ordinates were out. Any how we now have the GPS and within minutes the geodogs and us found the cache in the area where I am sure we searched with a fine tooth combe last visit. Although the co-ordinates did appear to be out a little. Sorry with the excitement forgot to waypoint the find.Great cache, took ball for dog and screwdriver set and left tupperware keyring.

I really enjoyed this one. It was an easy place to find, easy parking and a simple stroll down to the Cache. The GPS lead me on a memory chase for a while. When I spotted something unusual I referred back to the clue, double checked it was the correct colour, yep it was, was it the correct item, yes it was. With that satisfied I looked underneath and bingo had the Cache. Glad I had the clue with me. That aside it was another brilliant spot by Pesky, well done and thanks for taking me there.

It was late at night, but that surely shouldn't prevent a dedicted cacher with dedication, a torch and good GPS from finding a large size cache? But it did. Spent a good 30 minutes here. Couldn't suss the clue at all and not sure where the carpark 30m from cache was either? GZ was confined to a relatively small area but had no luck. A lot of bush bashing (me) here. Views would be great in the daylight I suspect. Thanks for the detour anyways.

You've got to hand it to those pesky Monkeys, if nothing else their cache containers are always interesting. This cache should have been an easy find but my GPS was behaving like a school brat (very badly) and making a monkey out of me (Hounddog). It took me the very long way round. Picked up a few scratches along the way. Meanwhile Snifter was having fun observing the mating rituals of the local birds breeds. I arrived back to the car and found her perving on two specimens courting each other in the bushes. [8)]

The views here were spectacular. Thanks for yet another great cache Ape Man. Wink
