Have been eyeing this cache off for many years but always time poor but today we still didnt have a lot of time but managed to stop for a quick sign of log and photo with sign.Great could walk up from road with no spinifex problems. Now off to our next job.TFTC Hi LPN, I replaced the micro container with a 200ml sistema as largest cache I had spare
An easy drive by find while visiting Newman. Cache was at ground level so replaced as per the hint. TFTC
Ammo box Cache that was has now been replaced with a much smaller container. If you have a larger one to upsize it that would be appreciated as the small cache may be a bit hard to find in the bush.
Called past with e.gregory1 as we made our way along the Great Northern Highway on a trip from Adelaide to north-western WA. Reading the logs we realised the cache was missing, but our replacement didn't do justice to the original ammo can. For the time being it is a 50 ml plastic screw cap container, to keep one of the older caches active. Thanks for the cache Lyn Pat and Nathan!
Found on a trip to Western Australia from Adelaide with FeatherWaite. Today we continued to make our way north finding caches of interest, including this one, along the way.As per the note on the cache page from the CO, we put out a replacement cache. Unfortunately it is only a small plastic container and not particularly durable, but it should suffice until it can be replaced by something better. Thanks Lyn Pat and Nathan for the cache.
It looks like done took the ammo box but If you are in the area of our cache capricache feel free to drop any replacement container you have. Someone must have decided they wanted our ammo box more than we did Any container is perfect. Infact free cache are better because they have no value to a muggle.
Bingo bango! Great start to the day to find this golden oldie! Heading south now after a road trip around only half of the hugely immense WA. A fave for longevity- TFTC and the FUN!
Cool location. I'm a little embarrassed to say I'd booked two nights in Capricorn Village (hiking Mt Meharry tomorrow morning) and didn't realize why it had that name until I looked up this cache. [:-)] Love ammo boxes--easy find. TFTC!
Flew from Cairns to Brisbane to Perth to Newman. Jumped in the rental truck (after a long wait for Hertz) and this was the first WA cache I've found. Feel like the day wasted wasted.

Stranded in Newman due to flooded roads. You can use the time to look for a few more doses. Thank you for the fun.
BLOODY FLIES. Even with the rain around.
Have left a little polished rock I picked up from site and ran through my tumbler.

Had time to kill while waiting fue a delayed flight and found this cache in good order (surrounded by a swarm of guard flies!!). TFTC
Stopped waiting for 2 x extra wide loads to get further in front, so was the ideal time for geocaching. Easy to find.
Two trackables visited.

Travelling up north following the sun. It's nice to feel that it is getting a bit warmer, tftc!
Found more easy than I thought. Thanks for the hunt. *NB* cappi side of the highway
On my way to Perth after an awesome time in Karijini. I've now crossed the Tropic of Capricorn in three different places in Australia. One of my favourite cache containers: an ammo box and another shire checked off.
We are spending a few weeks travelling to some of Western Australia's warmer regions and grabbing a couple of the LGAs that I need.
We just have to stop at these types of places for the obligatory photo. It is even better when there is a cache there.
I was disappointed there wasn't any marker for the 26th parallel on this road.
This was find number 3 for the day.

Quick stop on our journey to Karijini....was nice to find something other than a nano for a change!
TFTC!

Cheers, time to kill waiting for a truck to get serviced at Fleet Services behind the BP. Cache in good condition and loaded with goodies. Signed log and placed back where found. TFTC
Making our way Marble Bar we stopped to grab this one, when we parked and looked at the sign right next to us the name made sense. We made the short walk over to gz and quickly had the cache in our paws. We signed your log and returned your cache back to where we found it. Great location for a cache. TFTC Lyn Pat and Nathan.
Perth to Marble Bar with axell33, come a long way, long way to go! Love this type of country. So glad to have a few smilies on this part of the map! Found the cache then took the phot with the sign nearby. Thanks for the cache and greetings from Baldivis.
Staying in the area while muggle-hubby worked. Great to get out and view the local area. Many thanks
Road trip today from Tom Price to Cue. Stopped off here for the obligatory photo of the Tropic.
I think I got the Hanging Gardens of Babylon souvenir here (haha).
Big cache which was unexpected. Favourite point added here.
Cache was in good nic.
Hard to believe this cache is in the Shire of Meekatharra.... it’s a long drive

A little time this afternoon to continue the search for lost Jewels. The mystery is getting real.
On my Retirement practice, heading north to warmer temperatures. What better than finding the occasional cache on the way.

After a couple of days in Newman awaiting vehicle repairs after a trip down the Canning, I am now heading for Geraldton grabbing a few caches along the way. A quick find, now to move on.
Thanks Lyn Pat and Nathan for the cache.

Hi there Lyn Pat and Nathan.
We found your cache **"Capri-cache"** today. (This makes our find count 22721).
We cached around Roy Hill today,as well as attempting some caches around Ophthalmia Dam . We found your cache **"Capri-cache"** at 2:20:40 PM. (This brings our total find count to 22721). We had an interesting trek around the area & found 11 caches today & DNF'd 0.
Thanks for placing the cache here, without geocaching as our guide we would never have found so many interesting places on our nomadic wander around Australia. Thanks also for not placing a mint tin or a 200ml Sistema here. It made us feel really good to find this "special" cache here.
**Coordinate Accuracy:** We found your cache around 3m from where the GPS said we should be looking.
**Cache Condition:** The container and log book are in good shape.
**Took:** We took some rubbish out of the cache.
**Left:** Smiley Badge.
**Dropped Trackable:** "GE141-Teigetje".
Thanks for the hunt today,
Regards
Ian & Penny

Touring from Tasmania and heading down south. Sad to say bye to the Capricorn weather. And last cache to find until Meekatharra ️
Found and logged. Just love a ammo cache. Tftc

Driving from Karalundi to Newman today. First visit to this area. We found your cache Lyn Pat & Nathan all in good order.
Spending a extra few days in town due to the cyclone, so why not pick up some new caches.
Stuck in Newman on our way to Karratha because of Cyclone Veronica. What an amazing game I have been introduced to by Paul Kilcullen of Lions Outback Vision.
Our first and only cache we found today. 121 kms to the next one that we
should be able get to. A funny surprise was a log written by a muggle on
on Sept 30th this year, which was the last find. Check it out in the gallery.
Signed the log and replaced as found.
Thanks heaps Lyn Pat and Nathan

A fave point for the last log written by a Muggle.

Found on a road trip with Team Outnabout taking in the Meeka races and places of interest along the way from Geraldton to Newman. TFTC.
This is the fourth place that we have crossed the Tropic of Capricorn...thanks for making it more memorable.
First cache for the day after 352 kilometres from the last at Karalundi. And what a great way to start the day with our favourite container type.
As we travelled north we noticed that the ant hills were getting bigger and more frequent and the rubbish on the side of the road was doing the same. Seeing 99% of the traffic is either work utes, grey nomads and trucks we wonder who is the culprit.
Thanks.
