Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache for 20 years. Its great to get out and find such a old cache. I made this one a bit trickier than I needed to walked in from the beach along the soft sand of the inlet while the rest fished. Could get close to the cache if you had a 4WD. Used Geo toolbox to work out the final coordinates as I wasnt keen on bush bashing. The original log book is still in the cache but unreadable as it has been wet at some stage. Cleaned the rubbish out of the cache and dried it off a bit. Could do with a new log book and bag. After a signing the log I made my way back to enjoy the sunset and see how many fish were caught.
TFTC. Clever hide and compass definitely helps. Log is wet so couldn't write our names in it, found with Snow363

the book in plastic bag is waterlogged

Found it! Unfortunately it was entirely waterlogged, and the container is pretty deteriorated, so not able to sign
This cache needs maintenance due to it being waterlogged, and unfortunately we couldn't hang around long enough to dry it out
Challenging as I only used mob phone
Cords very close
All in good condition but there is a nest of ants,
they don’t bit.
River is very high after the weekend rains.
Inlet still closed

Wasn't sure how I'd go with this, but finally had a crack at it. Knowing my compass on the gps is pretty hopeless, I had sat down and done the math prior at home, leaving with a rough diagram of where to look. Once I got close to gz, my hope faded, as it looked like some the city had put some effort into making sure people weren't getting to gz. I snuck past the barriers and found gz relatively undisturbed and after a little bit of orienteering (working out my north) the cache was quickly spotted.
Amazingly after almost a year and a half of no one finding it, it looked as if it had just been put there. Contents dry and all good,
Tftc and for bringing us here!

Finding a couple of caches while spending the holiday in Albany.
We got into some 4WD fun here, continued down to the rivermouth and all the way on the beach. TFTH

TFTC! Had a grand weekend away with Cravo10, mugglewife and ItsKate visiting Albany and just about everywhere in between.
We left Perth on Friday travelling via every known backroad and side road known to the maps and maybe even a few not quite so known! Managed to grab a bunch of caches between Perth and Albany on the western side of the highway including a FTF at Boscabel, yeah Boscawhere?? Never heard of it either.
Got into Albany significantly later than we otherwise should have, but managed to get up early the following day to grab a bunch of caches around frenchmans bay, sand patch near the windfarm and further down towards Nullaki and finally around to Denmark.
Got the car nice and dirty on the back roads near the windfarm much to the delight of mugglewife!! NOT!!
Unfortunately the weather didn't work in our favour as we had planned a trip out to bold head to cleanup all out there followed by some kayaking to pickup the Camp Q adventure trail caches but the stars weren't aligned properly for that. But there's always next trip!!
We got up early the following day and grabbed a few caches around town before heading on the road back to Perth, not just Albany highway but every road east of the highway along all the back routes through cranbrook, tambellup, Katanning, Narrogin, high bury and finally back through Willian's with some side detours on the way!!
Had a great weekend and even managed to sneak in a visit with the inlaws who were more than accomodating. Thanks to all of the COs for the caches and we can't wait to come back soon. Thanks

After recently returning back to Perth after my stay was cut short in Albany by a year it was finally time to return. Catching up with old friends, cache maintenance, FTF opportunities And more green dots to convert to smiles lead to a great reason to head back down the highway.
barnzy12 and I had both been planning trips back to Albany and soon realised we had picked the same weekend.(well that's they story the partners are getting)
The drive down was not the quickest due to the intense deviation needed to clear the map however very enjoyable never the less.
All caches were found and replaced in good condition. Thanks to the CO's for bringing me to the great locations that I got to see and drive past.
Happy hunting, Cravo10

A great detour away from the tourista crowds !!
The track did get rather sandy towards the end,
but the geomobile managed to get to the parking coords.
A quick poke around and the cache was found
Time for some exploration of this interesting area after that.
TFTC in a place off the beaten track [^]

Not so much a4WD more a 2LW. Boy was the sand hot on our feet. Found the benchmark no drama. Don't know how many times we tried the orienteering but no joy. Even cast about with our cachers eyes. Grrrr
Oh dear, have fallen behind on my logging, again. Found this one on my last Albany trip. This really is a lovely area. Was sad to see the mess that thoughtless people have left behind - perhaps the next few cachers to come along might be able to do a bit of CITO each and help clean some of it up?? Thanks for bringing me out here though Phil & Sigrid Justrackin
This cache has been sitting on our to do list for quite some time now, and as we were driving past the turnoff today, thought we would have a look. Found the ALB111 marker pretty quickly. From there it was some easy compass readings to reach the cache which was quite easy to find. Nice to still find some of the older placed caches still hidden around Albany. TFTC
A great start to the new year, out and about finding a few caches on a lovely day, took a little bit to locate this one but found in good condition eventually. TFTH
We explored this area on our adventure around the SE while on holidays. Albany was our final destination where we settled for a few nights. We camped with some lovely people & the kids had a blast together.
This area is simply spectacular. We didn't cache much as we were too busy exploring, fishing & 4 wheel driving. We are hoping to return on our next lot of holidays on our way to Esperance:) we look forward to finding this cache.

Thanks for bringing us to this location. A great spot and one we will explore further. The cache is in good condition but the track to the carpark is not. I would not recommend it for 2wd unless high ground clearance, and then with some care. Beyond the car park is certainly 4wd only. TN Left a Thai key ring and calling card.
Yippee we found it just in the nick of time started to rain heavy on way out must find the benchmark thou
Heading towards Albany today and we really should have continued on but after checking the great camp spot at Cosy Corner we couldnt resist an overnighter here. So we parked the van up and left the cat there before going off to explore(cache)
Headed to this one from Mutton Bird but werent filled with confidence after reading the last log. On our arrival we did not find the benchmark and tried a few things which did not reveal the cache. We did actually check GZ but only with a cursory glance.
After following the description directions to the letter we searched but had no luck. Whilst messing about with that Mrs Felix discovered the benchmark so we set about again. This time Mr Felix discovered the cache and the log was signed.
We had to return the way we came as there is a birdge out on the main access road.

Found the cache in this lovely spot. Third time lucky! We have moved the cache closer to where the description shows as it had been left in the open away from its apparent location. Muggles? It is intact though.
4th found in 4 hours! A spot we regularly visit, not knowing the treasures hidden!!!
Well, that was delightful and we are off to google the ALB111 system to see what else is around. Thanks for that little adventure.
Time was running out for the three Canucks who'd hit the road for a couple of hours geocaching on a Saturday afternoon, but we figured we could still squeeze this one in if parking was close to the cache as it seemed. We only had a 2WD, but had heard reports that we could get pretty close to the cache and so we fancied our chances. It was a fun drive in, but we were still 1 km away from GZ, and upon coming across a particularly rough stretch of track decided that the most sensible course of action was to walk the remaining kilometer. As the sun was setting, we quickly managed to follow the required instructions, and eventually found the cache, where the junior members did some swaps. I enjoyed the additional challenge of needing to do something new at GZ, and in the process learned something about the capabilities of my GPSr, which was able to accomplish the required task beautifully with the help of some features I'd never used before. Thanks for bringing us here, and for offering a fresh challenge!
great drive out here after we had done mutton bird ,we decided for the sake of 65 metres we would park in the carpark area and walk to the cache instead of letting tyres down
found pretty easy ,signed the log and then headed off to our next destination

Found it easily with the directions accurate. I loved the extra small challenge and to use different applications on my GPS was satisfying.
To top it off - it was just a lovely afternoon and coming over the hill to see the water was a sight to behold. TFTC.

Found with BK.I after using canoes to get the opposite side. Quite an adventure really.
A year and a day later LouBla & I found this one. It helps to be on the right side of the river. This time we were prepared, we brought kayaks. Staying at nearby Camp Kennedy & having a 2WD this was the easiest way to get there. Being Australia Day there was a huge amount of 4WD traffic around. Fortunately most of them were already on the beach by the time we started our hunt. If you're looking for a cache very well stocked with geo-trinkets & geo-toys then this is the one! TFTH.
Started on wrong side of river! Hmmm, worth reading the instructions a bit better! My side of the river was so heavily treed that couldn't get useful info out of either GPS - but obviously something was wrong. Will try again next year when back down this way.
Was out this way looking for someone so dropped in on this nearby cache. Couldn't remember if I made the adjustments from GZ using Google Earth or not when I loaded the cache on to the GPS but took a punt I did and was greeted by the cache.
Thanks Phil and Sigrid.
Thanks Phil and Sigrid.
Found it despite the attacking march flys and mozzies! Beautiful view with stormy clouds rolling over the inlet... TFTH!

Out for a Sunday arvo lunch and afternoon tea with wefoundit2 and called in to find this cache.
They had already done this one so they stood back and watched and with a little help from their
compass we found it. Good one for the kids. TFTF.

We love it how where ever we decide to spend the day, there always seems to be a cache nearby to pick up during our family outings. This cache was a nice easy one to tick off while out this way. The idea of the compass was unique, it was a fun addition to finding the cache. TNLN
We found a nice sheltered spot for a picnic and some fishing with Tarzan and Jen. At the end of a great day out we wandered up and bagged this cache. It was the only thing we bagged – no luck with the fishing!

Third and successful attempt at this one. First time out took the 4WD Falcon S/W the long way around, the geofairy must have been looking after us as we got through without getting bogged. Only having the GPS for a short time and not knowing how to drive it with compass bearings, we left with nothing to show.
Second trip with the new Pathfinder as unsuccessful as the first, although we did walk past the cache. Thought we had the GPS worked out, but not to be.
Third time, bingo. Did some homework playing around with the GPS and though the bearings were not 100% accurate, we sussed it out and worked out the metres spot on. An interesting cache, glad all the others don't rely on compass bearings for the find.

Found it without too much trouble. A niffty idea, using a compass for part of the search
A nice drive in - the track was ok. We had a bit of trouble sorting out the compass bearings but got there in the end. Then a short search and we found the cache. Thanks Phil & Sigrid Justrackin
I am most puzzled how this can be called a "Traditional Cache" which states that "The coordinates listed on the traditional cache page are the exact location for the cache." This surely is a Multi-Cache??
When approaching this one on the understanding of its being a Traditional, without any other details it will be impossible to find - often tourists go armed only with the actual coordinates, as this SHOULD be most of what is required I am amazed that so many have found it without commenting on this fact.
Once getting back to the computer I read the 'fine print' on how to find the cache - and am therefore writing a note instead of logging a DNF - as there was nothing at GZ to find at all.

Moved to a dryer location a little closer to the carpark. The plastic container has been replaced with an ammo box and the contents renewed.
Woops disabled the wrong cache, this is the one that is full of water. Will repair and replace contents ASAP.
We ended up walking in (1.7km), our little car was not going to make it down the track. It was a beautiful day and the bush is great down here. We have camped on the opposite side of the inlet to the cache. Enjoyed the walk

On a roll - two in one day, well they were reasonably close together. Never been to this spot previously so it was a surprise to see quite a few boat trailers in the car park - must be a good fishing spot. Enjoyed the walk up the track and eventually found the cache although it needs some attention - water had penetrated.

Made the trip from the nearby Mutton Bird Beach just for the cache. Seems like it could be a nice quiet place to camp, but the mozzies must be a nightmare. Thanks again Phil & Sigrid. TNLN.
Found easily at a spot opposite to where we had been camping. Fantastic 4 wheel driving in this area!!
Lots of fun with this cache...mostly in the drive to GZ. Got bogged on the way there and on the way back, thankfully a bit of digging and a push got us out without any damage!!! Easy find. TNLNSL
