Found yesterday. A very interesting location, enjoyed the hike, and the Aboriginal art work. Rescued the trackable, and will continue it on its journey. tftc

I’m in the process of driving from Brisbane to Sydney, visiting relatives along the way. I have three caches in the area so I thought I should visit them all just to see how things are going.
Though this one was replaced a few months ago, I replaced it with a larger, more sturdy container. And dropped in a few coins and the travel bug.
Thanks to all who have helped keep this one going. When I get to better cell service later today I will be tweaking the puzzle to make this an actual multi cache.

We are having a couple of days on a farmstay, we decided a visit to Yarrowyck with geono was a good way to fill in the morning.
We completed this as a traditional came with geono who had done this cache previously & said that it was ina stump when they found it.
When we arrived at GZ the stump was no longer there, we came with a replacement cache as the last couple were DNFs. A message has been sent to the owner & only the hint is changed to behind a tree.
BEWARE of the STINGING NETTLES
Thankyou OzGuff for placing this cache.

Spoke to parks and wildlife officers
There are only two signs and the walk is no longer a circuit
We located the first sign and last sign
The officer believes the other signs have been removed
When the walk was changed from a circuit to a single walking track

A nice cool and wet morning for a bit of exercise and trail run around the trail with a cache thrown in as a rest stop.
A beautiful and interesting area to visit even in the rain.
The lid of the cache container is very brittle and is broken. Covered as best I could but will need replacing.

I might have lead Michelle on a bit of a wild goose chase for waypoint 3 (after finding the others) we then read the description and realised our error...
That path needs a lot of TLC.

We attempted the multi (Did not attempt waypoint 2, waypoint 3s Information board was not there). If done as a traditional then the walk is easy. TFTC
Found on a lovely early spring day when out for a walk at the rock art site. The cache box is in good order despite no visitors in the last 6 months. Thanks.
I rolled into the carpark and would you believe it !!
A skoolbus was parked there too !!
This could be a mini-muggly affair !!
At least a bus full of skool chids should be easy to hear approaching !!
I never did see or hear them !!
The cache was found nice and easy like, after a pleasant stroll.
Then I continued on to have a sticky beak at the rock art.
Great spot and a good stroll to boot
Returning the way I came in, I arrived back at the carpark to find the skoolbus driver fast asleep.
What a relaxing, or maybe tiring job

#1432 - M found the big one. Went onto the cave paintings after leaving the treadlies at the carpark. Big 20mm downpour last night but the TarpTent at our wild camp made it through with just one minor leakage. Fairly easy find and walk then brekkie back at the bicycles.
Monday afternoon found cache nice & tidy, everything OK! (may be fellow geocachers -should take note of older LOGS eg Xtreme110 13/4/2011,Jasmar 20/7/2008,Oz Guff 20/6/2005,..(I didn't untill I got home.)ANYWAY good fun, thanks Oz Guff !!!!
Followed the main track to the paintings ,passed Sign 1,checked out sign 6(answer tick) continued (older)track to sign 5(answer tick) to sign4 (answer tick) to NO sign 3 and to same at sign 2 (NO SIGNS AT ALL). Back to number 1 ( answer correct). But ran out of day light...so returned Monday 1/9/14.
This was my second attempt today, and, pleased to say successful. It's amazing what you can do with correct coordinates. Muggle mate N and I enjoyed the whole experience, and a curious rock wallaby watched our progress. Cache in very good order, TNLN SL. Thank you so much for the hide.
Made this much harder than needed. First time I went there I got my GPS on wrong coordinates and almost ended climbing Mt Yarrowyk realised my mistake and then went back to find it the next day. Some maintenance performed with items packed in snap log bags
Today was another Cache for the New Year (one each day) Mount Yarrowyck was the last Cache in this region for me to track down. I set out with all of the information, just as well the final Cache coordinates were included. As for the six information Plaques along the walk to the Rock Art, which is the purpose of most peoples visit to the area. The were two only, the first one that had an answer that matched with the coord. question, and one other at the end of the walk, which I did not apply the final question to.
The others were all missing, and there was no evidence of any work having been done on the walkway for many months.
After visiting the Cache at Dangar Falls yesterday, and noting the excellent condition of the walking trails, it is very clear to see that the National Parks authority pay little attention to the important Mount Yarrowyck location. (I will be writing them a please explain letter) My intention was to read each of the Plaques, collect the information and match it with the coordinates provided. Fortunately it was pre set in my GPS, so I reverted to that which took me to the Cache. The Cache container was in excellent condition. There had been one other visit entered in the Log book in the last twelve months, which has not been logged on line. The last Logged visit was on the 3rd. of December 2012 thirteen months ago.
I wrote a short note in the log book, and took one item, that being the Indian Chief, and replaced 4 items
one being plastic Shark to be company for the smaller one in the Cache, a necklace and two other items.
Mount Yarrowyck is very dear to my heart, as my boyhood home "Riverview" South West of the parking area (and mid way to the Yarrowyck Crossing Cache) was my Family home. And I have such fond memories of this location. The Primary School that I attended stood 6 to 7 hundred meters West of the car park next to the house that now stands on the double Tennis courts, that was the Yarrowyck Tennis
club, where social matches were played every Saturday among the residents of the Yarrowyck district.
Thank you very much for the Cache OzGuff. It is indeed an honour to have one in my Boyhood district.

Nice hike into the cache. Always fun letting the scouts track them down. SL TNLN
good hide.. path overgrown... some signs further back on the track that there may be some work being done on the place but not sure... Great weekend with friends just down the road
Found with squires squire, lonelyra, nici160, leashie, bright_spark88, danfrom and others on saturday arvo walk
Found at 9:12 AM GAFF1. On a very windy morning we headed off on a short hike and in practically no time we were searching in an area that looked as though it had been flooded, so we were not very hopeful of finding a cache! We did collect dozens of "farmers friends" though and then a thought struck us - what if it is over there in that logical spot just a few metres away Yep - after all of our negative thoughts there it was. Loved the area and it was a great way to start a day's cacheing.
Thanks OzGuff
Feedback:
There were only 2 information boards and only one of them answered a question.

Went looking for this one with DENASA. We had planned to do this as a multicahce, but after finding the first sign and setting off to the next one we discovered that we were going in the wrong direction. I can remember there being a loop when I came here years ago, but it looks like the part of the loop with the signs is no longer being used and has become overgrown. We ended up just using the final coordinates. Cache was in good condition. Thanks OzGruff.
This really is a nice place...and worth walking the extra distance to the aboriginal cave paintings. Farmers friends, sticky beaks, cobblers pegs...whatever you call them...leave you looking like an echindna (porcupine for OS visitors!). Collected Geocoin Budddy and dropped a very nice NSW Rural Fire Service paper weight! 14:15 hrs
I was staying with the olds in Uralla, so decided to duck out this way to find a couple of a caches. I’ve been up to the paintings a few times before, but never been on the hill to find a cache. I followed the track until the GPS said I was close, and then I followed the arrow – right through a patch of stinging nettles. Whoops. But it wasn’t too long and the cache was at hand. I signed the log and dropped in a travel bug, and then continued up the track to see the paintings. A great spot for a cache – thanks OzGuff!
It was a great day so KateRX and i decided to head out to this cache. And as we hadn't been there since young children living in the area we decided now was a good chance to go back. We found the cache quite quickly then headed on to the aboriginal paintings.

The day warmed up nicely for our walk along Mt Yarrowyck. Found the cache easily, and continued on to look at the aboriginal art further along the track. We then finished the morning with morning tea at the picnic tables. Took NSW geocoin, left bakugan. TFTC.
Looked for this cache yesterday but didn't have the precise co-ords,could say we were stumped. So with the right ones,90th birthday cake and thermos went back today and found it. Lovely place, didn't matter it took 2 goes.
Found late arvo, nice walk.
All signs still missing and track etc a work in progress.
Plenty of "Farmers friend" around..
Took sapphire and Keyring, left necklace and headphones.

Found by geograndkid on way to art site. Co-ords slightly out but close enough.
NP Ranger advised that the loop track is now permanently closed due to it crossing some private property but told us where it was - we followed it part way but found it very overgrown and indistinct so cut across country to return along the outbound track.
NPWS workers were installing new 'long drop' and picnic tables/fire places at carpark.

Found with JugglinDan and K on a nice walk... hay JD, what are these funny flying things coming out from under this big flat rock I've just crossed?... what do you mean "Run for it!"??! [wasp warning]
It was a hot day for a walk but an interesting spot. We walked to the art site and back on the main track as we didn't realise at first where the loop track joined at the gate and fence. Dropped the booby Bird coin here, should be some interesting fauna for him to meet
Still weedy - but thanks to the warning and careful walking the prickly weeds weren't too bad. Lovely spot.

If weed known weed be picking burrs off our fleecy for 15 minutes after finding the cache weed have worn something different.
Perhaps the infestation has occurred in the last 18 months since it was found, but it was a little disappointing as a location given all the less weedy areas nearby.
Thanks for bringing me to this area. The paintings were great.
TNLN TFTC
BTW The log book is a little bit damp.

Time to break the drive heading between Narrabri after a work job and my parents' place near Coffs Harbour (took the dirt shortcuts rather than the long way around the TomTom wanted). As I hadn't printed out the sheet used the cheat method given (not sure all the signs are in place anyway) and spotted the likely hiding spot from the track for an easy find, even though a warm day for a stroll.
TNLNSL. Then on eastwards where after Armidale I was driving inside the clouds with visibility down to 50m at times!
Thanks OzGuff

Nice walk & good spot for a cache. Multi cache still not usable as some of the signs still missing.
We had an Armidale Bushwalking Club hike over the top of Mt Yarrowyck today... lovely views from near the top. I went off before everyone else turned up and found the cache! The track for the multi-cache is currently blocked off by the NPWS so it really can only be done as a traditional until they get the path fixed.
Being in a ruch to get back to Tamworth we did this one the easy way. Nice little walk to GZ.
Came in via the closed route using the waypoints which provided a far more interesting walk. Seems that National Parks are in no rush to reinstate the track. Good example of mistletoe slowly killing the kurrajong tree at the old Waypoint 3. TFTC
A good walk to the rock art, but pity about the alternative track with its clues.
Loved this walk into see the Aboriginal artwork, its very different type of walk that we are used to. The artwork is interesting to see also.
Found the cache but the Gladware container has had its day. The cache is dry at present because there hasn't been a lot of rain in recent times here but we have placed the whole container in a zip lock bag to help protect it against the elements. TNLN SL TFTC.

Found the cache easily by using the final coordinates.
The cache lid was cracked with a big hole so the log book was quite soggy. Everything else was ok.

A pleasant walk in still sunny air, crisp too. Found cache, then visited the art.
Used the final location provided and found the cache and aboriginal art easily. Enjoyed both and the walk. Took magnifier and left piggy. Caravan friendly. Thanks OzGuff.
Per cache owner’s bitter post to GCQ61R “If anyone wants to log any of my 376 hidden caches without signing any of the logs and without leaving the privacy of their own homes, feel free.†I’m caching in the warmth tonight. TFTClicks
Although the track is still being modified... followed the waypoint co-ordinates for a nice afternoon walk through this quiet part of the world.
A few murray-grey cows kept my friend and I company for part of the hike.
Found the cache... good location and intact.
Nothing taken but left a travel bug..., Naviguessor.

As with the previous finder, we found that the track section containing 4 of the 6 waypoints has been closed, as they track is being moved. Also, 2 of the 6 waypoints had been removed. As you can see from the photos, you can see where someone used the bark, but we had no idea how many things they used it for!
We decided to push on to waypoint 6 and see the paintings. Given that we were only missing 2 clues, we decided to use the hints to find the cache anyway.

Track section which contains five of the six clues was closed for repair. Luckily we had been here a few weeks before (without a GPS) and recorded the clues.
Found cache easily. had my little kids with me and they eagerly swapped some little toys including a miniBarbie and a Looney Tunes DVD for a $2 coin, a pen and an eraser.
The $2 didnt make it home, as we 'swapped' it for two bags of mixed lollies at the local corner shop.

Found it with 2Boots the other night - I think caching at night has all the benefits - NO muggles, No heat, NO chance of snakes, NO visibility - hang on, that's a bad thing...
The stars were amazing.

Visited cache and picked up TB 'Beep Beep'. He's been there too long and needs a lift to somewhere else.
Found it without too much trouble. It was my first. I am rather new to this as I only received a Garmin Geko 201 at Christmas time and had never heard of Geocaching until I started poking around the internet. I seem to be only the second visitor to this cache.
