As I was up here today checking on Freo Folic, I took another look at the options for this cache. Given its location and the general state of the park at the eastern end (pretty shocking) I have decided to archive this cache. The nicer part of the park can still be enjoyed as Freo Folic is here and I am sure it will be back up soon.

23-Jul-06
Called by today to check on things, given two DNF. Whilst the area where the cache was hidden has not been subject to any gardening activities, the cache has gone. I will think about the best options for this cache and make a decision in a week or so.

18-Jul-06
Searched for over an hour, all scratched up from looking in prickle bushes. Couldn't find it. GZ wasn't at the peak so went searching there too but still no luck. Thought we would have another crack at Freo Frolic but the grounds people were spraying herbicide right near the site. Might try this one again if we can get some feedback from Aushiker about if it is still there. Colin & Emily. Nice view West!

29-Oct-05
First GZ had me going around and around the wrong bush. An ammo box cannot be that hard to find. Suddenly gz moved and there it was. With views too. Lovely early in the morning.

12-Oct-05
It would have been quicker if I walked the opposite way around GZ.

Whew found it at last. Got ourselves into a bit of trouble while looking for this one. Didn't take the cache details with us and ended up on the golf course, where we were very very aburptly greeted by the golf course leasee. He lost the plot with us completely every after we explained what we where up to, that we were sorry and were trying to leave. Even wanted to call the police. Never mind not all muggles are friendly like us geocachers.
Make for an exciting cache and hunt for the inlaws that we took with us for the first time to share our hobby, not sure if they will be in a hurry to venture out with us again after that little incident.
Thanks guys for the hunt.

Took ball and insulation tape
Left pkt of coloured chalk and toy game.

[:d] We wanted to grab the Travel Bug to take with us to the North West of Western Australia. Searched at night time to avoid anyone seeing us.

Our feet got a bit wet in the long grass but the discomfort was certainly worth it! What a great cache! Full of lots of goodies.

We took: Fridge Magnet, Bike Bell, Blue Dog and of course the Travel Bug!

Left: Foam Plane, Plastic Binnoculars and a Toy Pony.

Dropped in to drop off "Tim The Turtle" TB who wants to keep heading south.

It was raining but cache was in good condition, dry and well stocked with goodies.

Managed to dodge the golf balls as we were on a mission to grab 'Go Kitty go' TB. Being a BIG "Hello Kitty' fan I was very excited to get my hands on this TB and will find some where interesting for her to continue her travels. A pleasant walk to this cache and plenty of booty to choose from.

The Bear_Left Touring Co transferred me safely to this location (one of many) as I went about my WA cache marauding madness!

Another interesting bit of land, there seem to be quite a few nice general purpose parks around.

01-May-05
We passed a few wasps and hornets, but not many and not stroppy ones.
After signing the log and flinching at the "Hello Kitty", we went to the tee and enjoyed the view. Then took the more direct route down the hill to the car.

27-Apr-05
Called by to dropp off Go Kitty Go! Travel Bug. Cache is in good condition and no sign of wasps.

24-Apr-05
Found by Team GeoCoopers.
Stopped to do the nearby Freo Frolic placed by another SA geoacacher. Saw that this one was only a few hundered metres away so grabbed this one as well. No wasps either. (#663)
Thanks AusHiker

2nd complete one of the day, quite a nice walk.

20-Apr-05
No wasps in area were seen.
Nice area to walk around.

14-Apr-05
No wasps out at all - maybe because it's only 8am? No nasty greensmen either. I was relieved to find the cache was more like 50cm rather than 50 mm Wink.
+ Northing TB

Thanks Aushiker - M@

Great cache...BAD spot. When searching for this cache, i was attacked by a swarm of about 30 wasps, who had formed a nest not 2 metres from this cache. Also, i found another nest about 5 metres away. TAKE GREAT CAUTION HERE. I am lucky because i am not allergic and was only stung three times, however allergic people (children in particular) may not be so lucky. I will be suggesting that this cahce be moved to a safer area.
T:valve caps, coaster and bell
L: coaster, golf balls, sticker, electronic book light

We met a very stressed out golf club steward who got very annoyed at the thought of anyone crossing on to HIS property, he was threatening to sue us, if we went inside HIS fences... needless to say we walked on until he was out of sight and then went to grab the cache. TNLNSL.
Thanks for this one, it was more challenging than we expected !

Sorry to say but we were unable to find this one. We thought that it was going to be easy with all the previous tracks around. Not to be, maybe we are blind. Time will tell if it is still there. Thanks for the search and the nice view from up on the hill

Nicely stashed and a good find! T:N L:N. BTW the bottle opener was a good idea and will have to come back with something worthy to replace it with Smile

We followed the paths as suggested but we did wonder about stray balls from the golf course. Theres lots of work going on nearby it will be nice to see the final results. We took a photo so we can compare it in future years. The Fennel near the cache site was pleasant smelling and we managed to go home with the odour of it all over our hands. We took the keyring and added 3 Tazos. Today was a glorious Perth spring day so we had been to "Left Bank" pub for a bit of lunch. Fantastic food but no beers on tap, its all bottles only. We recommend the Seafood Tasteing plate just perfect for a large snack for two people. Yummmmm.

If you come here from Freo Frolic, you don't have to climb the fence, there's a path a few meters up that branches off and backtracks to the cache. You just have to walk a few meters more. T: Stress ball L: Pen, hair accessories, and a few other things. It's a big ammo box! Thanx for a great cache.

Found at ~8:30PM on a damp night. The grass was so wet that my feet got wet inside my shoes! Easy find with wot and Gogetter. Thanks for the hunt! Before finding this cache we got Freo Frolic, but before going after this one we drove around the entire reserve and then parked in the exact same spot we parked at to find this cache...

Found this one after following Oz's footprints through the long wet grass Wink
Great first cache Aushike and it looks like this park is going to get some major improvements over the next few months with the amphitheatre under construction and new site works everywhere, should be something special when completed.

I was nearly going out to find this cache last night, however due to other commitments. I put my money on Oznaturist and TLC to FTF. Alas, no prize for me. Wink This morning I followed the well trodden through the wet long grass. Big Grin Congrats to Aushiker for his first cache being placed. TN L: Aussie Rock Classic CD and key ring.
