The owner hasn't logged in for about 18 months and appears uninterested in maintaining this cache. I think it's time to archive it.

It appears there is nothing there anymore.

Have to agree that this one has definitely gone. Fossickers and vandals have turned all rock piles over. Kanowna will always be a fascinating place to visit, to marvel at what was here in times gone by. Thanks for reviving the memories.

Sad to say but I beleive this one could have been muggled.Twisted
I found the rocks that were used to cover the cache but no cache.

Unless it has been moved this one has disappeared.

Dont know if some one else wants to have a go at this one just incase I missed something but I gave it a good search.
Sad

Found this cache very easily on a warm sunny day. Quite interesting to have a drive around the old townsite (although there is nothing left) and read the signs of what was once a thriving townsite. Took Robots left Fire Truck

This was an easy one, We took a euro and left a toy boat and accessories, and a plumbing pen. Nice area around here, this is definately a ghost townSurprised

Our rest day today after a few dayz in the bush it was time to shower and hit the pubs in Kal ... OH we also manged to slip in one cache whilst heading out to check out the two up ring.
Nice little area we didn't realise the history of the place to we parked on the house (well what's not left of it anyway)

Thanx for the hunt Paddy Trackers

I didn't have the regular GeoMobile, but the Silvia didn't handle it too bad, just a couple of scrapes...

After seeing the pleasant views from the cache site, I stopped in at the Kanowna Belle mine public viewing platform. Unfortunately most of the action at Kanowna is underground or hidden, so other than seeing a big hole in the ground it isn't that interesting. The KCGM Super Pit shows a lot more action from their platform.

Thanx guys

Doing some work at the Kanowna Belle plant so this cache was a convinient stop on the way back to town. The view was nice but the flies were a bit of a bugger. Cheers.

Visited the old cemetery before the cache site. At the cachesite we were a little bit disappointed that there were no more ruins left. Thanks for the 360 view.

1801hrs - Found this one after work. The ute had a flat battery so we decided it could do with a good run! Found the cache in good condition. Took Comic Book and Glo Hairpin, left 15-in-1 multi-tool and keyring. Thanks Paddy Trackers. Big Grin

Finally found this one now thatit has returned. Had to share the find with the start of those pesky little flies.
The cache was found nice and dry after the recent rainy days
Thanks Paddy Trackers

We found it without any problems. Its still likely to be found by muggles but we did cover it up and try to make it look like part of the surrounding bushland when we put it back so lets all cross our fingers.
The day we were there was cold (10c) and windy.
We put the log book in a Zip-lock bag just incase it rained and left a Koala and slinky. We took the Grolsh radio. Nice beer so maybe the sound will be nice too.
Thanks for the history lesson.

We sat in the vehicle waiting until the several muggles left the top of hill before we continued searching the cache. Spent for several minutes to find it and believed it has been removed by the muggles. It would be recommended that Paddy Tracker to check it before replacing with a new one and coordinates. Thanks for bringing us to revisit the very interesting historical place.

Found where the cache would have been. Found some of the red tape which would have been placed around the tin however we think the cache has been stolen. It might be a good idea for the Paddy Trackers to check out whether or not the cache has been removed. We were rewarded though with some spectacular lightening strikes around the area at the time.

Our third Kal cache for the day and another easy find. Unfortunately time didn’t let us explore the trail fully but what we saw was very interesting.
Took gold book Mark as a souvenir of our caches here and left a stationary set
Thanks Paddy Trackers for a very informative cache

The Flintstones,

Great cache locality. A lot of history here and well worth coming to. Took the harmonica to play a merry tune in our travels. Left a raincoat in case it starts raining.

Cheers.
