The cache has disappeared again, this is a high risk area to fire since its the first place that gets back-burned when a bush fire is in the area (it backs onto houses).
This cache has served the area well, it has brought many people to this lovely stretch of the Oxley creek. With the redevelopment of the ReadyMix sand-mining operations into houses, I hope this area will remain unchanged.

All I got for this one was wet. I started on the wrong side and had to double back in from the opposite approach. I searched around for sometime without luck.
Given the fire at the location it is possible this one has been destroyed.

Don't know if this is still here as a bushfire has been through the area so there was really nothing to hide a regular cache, and we certainley didn't find any remains. Pirate took us in one way and the Galley wench took us out a different way, both where memorable again lots of laughs with these old sea dogs.
aaaagh!mmmm' not sure if its still there or not? poked all around on top side of bank, there has been a bush fire at gz so unless it was down the bank or covered with sand i think this booty ha been muggled, well ye' galley wench led us out a diffrent way!,logs across ye' creek and all of us slip sliding around in ye' mud!,thanks alex for ye' adventure and ye' laughs!
Now I HATE snakes. This one was being protected by a Brown Tree Snake about a metre long. Docile today in it's branch I thought at first that it may be a ploy of a rubber snake. Then it MOVED.
Every stick and twig seemed to move on the way back out. I certainly was glad to get back to the safety of the car.
Cheers from Posspet Boys.

Was nearby today at one of the Oxley's but with a gammy knee and two small kids bailed at 30m. Better luck next time.
Found 15:58 after a little bush bashing. Little tricky getting in as path overgrown; Nephew Willy loved it; but this old man got a bit sweaty. T: car L: Finger puppet SL TFTC
Certainly a fun cache to track down. After crossing the creek via the shopping trolley, car tyre and log bridge it was off into the jungle of vines and grass
"I should have bought that machette", I thought [:o]
The scenery got better as I 'strolled' along the creek. The anticipation built as I approached GZ
Even equipped with a poking stick it took about 15minutes to find the barely hidden cache
Finally the return 'stroll' out of there. Took a couple of wrong turns and almost got lost in the undergrowth.
The itching should subside after a week or two [B)]

Tried this some time ago and somehow really scrambled the coordinates. However, we found it this time. Across the creek, scratched by all the vines. Nearly gave up, then read Snipies comment about poking around with a stick. We must have walked over this 5 times. GOT IT. Funny how these things can hide with very little cover. TFTC TNLN
I was having an 'Oxley' afternoon and saw this one was close by the 'Holes' so came over for a look. Well hidden alright. I found a couple of likely spots but the cache was watching me and keeping very still. Eventuall, I tracked it down. TN/LN/SL
I am not from around here, but work into this area quite a lot. I have a pushbike at my depot I use for exercise so this is how I came to be here on a bike.
This was a very unusual cache; I rode my pushbike in from the main road into what looks like a dumping ground and followed the track into the bush. I did not want to leave my bike there for someone to pinch so I carried it with me. Boy was that a BIG mistake, across the creek with the bike in tow, up and down the high banks of the creek till I came to the cache area, I put the bike down and started probing around for the cache. After about 20 minutes I was about to give up thinking the cache was no where to be seen (and no where to be seen it was). I eventually located the cache about 4 metres from my bike, Very clever, if it hadn’t been for reading your note in the log (Lt Sniper) I may have given up . After selecting some goodies and replacing with some new treats I collected my bike and proceeded to do the reverse carrying my bike with me, the bike kept getting caught up in vines and I was getting scratched and bitten by bugs, up and down the bank I went and at one stage I thought I had torn the back wheel out of the bike. I eventually got back to the main road and got on my bike to discover that I HAD done some damage to the gears and chain [:(!], so I limped back to the “Flashing Pedals Bicycle sales and service†at Acacia Ridge only to be told by a very helpful bloke that I had bent the rear chain rail and damaged the chain and it was about $60.00 to repair. The bike is now having a sleep over at Flashing Pedals bike shop and will be ready to continue caching in a few days [|)]. From now on I might just lock my bike to a tree and walk in when caching in thick bush.
Took dinosaur and a fridge magnet photo.
Left a pink peg and a snake thing.

Difficult to access and took a while to find where the cache was located. Bruce did the hard work and came out with scratches and blood (which isnt that unusual anyway). Took TB and left Mr Jelly and book and also took tennis ball. Thanks Lt. Sniper
Thanks Lt,
After heading in for this one I came to a running creek. Oh no not this again. A creek between me and a cache, how usual. I had a little look around and found a log to cross on. After a little while of looking ,I stood on a stick which made an unusual noise. I got lucky this time. Thanks Lt Sniper for getting this one back in action. We look forward to doing the rest of yours soon.Out Jet cd in SonicTb.

I had a walk thru the area this afternoon and after about 15 minutes of random poking of the ground with a stick I heard a bang, the kind an ammo container makes, sure enough, tightly covered in grass was the cache in perfect condition.
Go get it folks, and make sure you cover it up again completely when found! Try not to trample the area too much either.
Clue: It’s under the shade of a dodgy looking berry tree.

I had a few hours spare before work so decided to give another one of Lt. Sniper's a go.
The initial parking spot was easy to find due to his helpful pics!
The creek where this cache is located appears to be somewhat overgrown since the recent rain.
Take care where you see the large dirt embankment to your left. It partially collapsed when I was passing that section and I ended up losing some bark on my shin.
After much searching I didn't end up finding cache.
Lt., is there any chance this cache might have been washed away due to previously-mentioned rain?
D.Team, if the guy with the ute had some old computer monitors and stuff then yes, he did end up dumping it.
I noticed it dumped there on my way out.

Another no find for today. Luckily had a spare pair of shoes in the car as my first pair got very wet due to recent rain. Unfortunately came up empty handed looking for the cache. Noticed a ute full of rubbish on returning to the car. He watched me for a few minutes and then took off. Saw him again parked on the side of the road but he went when he saw my car coming. Took his rego. etc and am very seriously thinking about reporting him for dumping although he didn't actually do it while I was there.
First of seven finds in company with The Garner Family and Lt. Sniper. Another typical, challenging cache from the officer marksman. As usual, having the cache owner in tow didn't excuse us from the full experience! We gingerly crossed the creek and made our way to GZ. My GPSr apparently pointed me directly to the hiding place, but there was no cache there. Even the good lieutenant couldn't find it! TGF laid hands on it at 1825, a couple of metres from where it was supposed to be. We put it back where it belonged. We disturbed a brown snake on the track on the way out. I made no exchange. Thanks to Lt. Sniper for the cache.
Bit dodgy getting over the creek in parts, but we managed it.
We (dak's emu mob, lt sniper and myself) got to GZ and lt sniper stood back to let us search for it. After we couldn't find it he gave us a hint. After we still couldn't find it we offered for him to look for it... but then he couldn't find it!
Turns out that it had moved a little since he hid it, so after we did find it we replaced it in the original location. Found at 18:25 (first of the night and just getting on dark). TNLN.

Was in the area on a beautiful Sunday morning so we fired up the GPS and tracked it down - didn't have the instructions from the website so we didn't park in the designated place. Made the walk to the cache a bit on the wild side.
Hey - looks like we were the first to find this one after a period of inaction !
We happened to notice this one was very close to one in the Oxley Creek series when we plugged in the coords so we took the opportunity to grab while in the neighbourhood.
We were pretty lucky to find it so quickly as our youngest stepped on it - she was very proud of herself too !!!
Out - Purple Snake
In - Purple Tennis Ball

After 2 visits I still havnt been able to plant this cache since the area I want to hide it in has been burnt out (kids + matches = no place to hide cache).
I will go scouting for a new area again but I dont know when that will be

Visited the LIP#2 site this arvo to remove the cache and replant it close by where LIP#1 was. Unfortunately the area I wanted to hide it at floods every time it rains and the cache was a little low on goodies, so it will be restocked and released soon.

Okay...what's going on here. I found this one today after being close to it last night. This is the one closer to railway line. I looked for the other one (near the creek) but soon realised it was the one that is now missing. I'll claim this as a find as I definitely found an ammo box and I definitely signed a logbook. I'll let you figure out which one it is, Lieutenant!
I'm pretty sure this is the one near the creek. Just checked the co-ords on Mapsource. [?][?]
Technically you found the cache. That box (next to the train line, the old LIP#2) you found is going to be moved this weekend to near the creek (LIP#1 spot that is now just plain LIP). I haven’t been able to move it since I have been busy with uni exams.

Well that clears things up..
I started at the creek and searched for about 15 minutes. As I didn't have the description pages with me (only the co-ords in the GPSr), I then thought I'd cruise up the road and check the other one. No doubt it will all be much simpler after this weekend.
Thanks guys.

This cache (LIP#1) will be renamed to 'Lost In Paradise' and the LIP#2 cache will replace this box as it was taken/stolen.
The point of the 2 caches was just to see how many people I could drag out to this area of Brisbane and the results have been fairly good, the caches weren’t intended to be challenging or hard at all. There will be a few more caches placed out this way soon (general Southside area) by Crew 153 and myself soon.

Got to GZ and searched for about 20 minutes before giving up. I was convinced that if I stuck my hand in any more holes I was going to get bitten by a snake.
our gps put this back across the creek and so we searched through the bush w/ no luck.
Decided to go for a Sunday afternoon drive and find some caches. After a pleasent stroll we chanced upon this cache. Swapped a egg timer for a blue glow stick. Fed Jumping Jonny and he followed us out.
Steve & Deb at 13:10

Found my first cache at 3:15pm
Nice walk and the clue is a definite help.
Took a whistle and left a Star Wars figurine.

This one was a little more challenging in the dark. Will have to come back and see the area in daylight, I think it would be very scenic. Took a little hunting to find this one, but eventually the team (Dive Dive Dive) did it by moonlight and torch light. Nice challenge. We left some glowsticks and took the geocaching lanyard.
After doing a first find on "Lost in Paradise #2" we ( The Team DiveDiveDive consisting of Deco and Brett & Tracy and the Charterises) just had to continue on do do another first find on this one. Did not take the TB as we are not planning on seeing a kangaroo for a while. Good walk in the dark and good hide.
Team Dive Dive Dive strikes again. Another after dark jaunt tonight to find a couple of newies, although this was interesting done by torchlight. Great spot. The clue was good help.thanks for 2 good hunts Lt Sniper. Took nothing left nothing as was on way home from work.
thanks
