Logs
A nice early one that somehow I missed on my last New Plymouth trip almost 8 years ago. Parked above and found the stairs down, then a fairly quick find. Thanks smoking gun for the cache.
Doing a bit of a whirlwind trip around the North Island - Lower Hutt-Palmerston North-Hawera - to see friends and family. Have my eye on a few caches to fill in my "months hidden" grid, this being one.A quick find at GZ. Thanks for the cache.
Day 16: Around TaranakiTodays journey took us around the Taranaki Region, where we headed as far south as Cape Egmont before heading up to Pukeiti, and back to New Plymouth for two more parks: Tpare and Pukekura Parks. After that, we searched for the best views of the Maunga from Te Wera Wera Bridge and walked the Coastal Walkway back to the Port. Another truly productive day, and thanks for all the caches around the Taranaki Region. (End of the cut and paste bit)Heres the specific log for this cache: A quick find here - I like how random troughs like this get preserved in the urban landscape here in NZ. A quick sit down and feel revealed the cache hide and the log was duly signed. This is an old one! TFTC!

On a walkabout and arrived at GZ just as a car parked. People got out and crossed the road and headed into a house (Jehovah Witness). Sat and signed the cache as my friend read the plaque. Thank you for the placement.
With ABCDF4, eyespyben, and Gap (of Fap and Gap)... A planned expedition into the Taranaki region. All logs were signed with our individual handles, or Team HRP (Huntly, Rotorua, Papamoa) depending on who accessed the logbook first...King's Birthday Monday: We have historic horse troughs in Rotorua. Actually, some kids rode their horses into the CBD last year (2022). If this becomes a trend then troughs could be useful once more. Mind you, with the increase in petrol and road user charges, reverting back to horses might be a necessity in the near future A quick find while horsing around. Thanks smoking gun. TFTC.
Kings Birthday weekend we are off down Taranaki with Squirrel Nutcase and Fap ( Fap & Gap)and EyespyBenSome of will be signed HRP Team or IndividualThe weather is great {cold}Nice wee hide Thanks placement

Good to see local history still in use. Failed to see any nags of any note but that could just be a day time issue. Thanks to smoking gun for a reason to stop here.
Another day in the land of the long white cloud. TeamARF, JACSTeam and I headed south to Wellington. Lots of rainy caching but still some awesome caches and spectacular locations. Thanks to all COs!! Loved this one with original trough and horse tethers!
Day 5: We ( TeamARF, Gcoven and myself) have travelled over from Brisbane, Australia to have a visit since we were not able to make it to the Mega. We have spent some considerable time solving puzzles and making plans in preparation.
Today the plan is to work on collecting things of our list. We have a gigantic list of old, interesting, highly favourited, challenges and a few Geo-arts to try and collect over the next 10 days. There is a good chance we got lazy with our logging and do some joint variation of our initials - TGJ, GJT or JGT.
Please excuse the generic log, just have extremely little data to try and survive on it for the 10 days. However, you can be assured that if we have found your cache it was special to us for some reason or in a special location - so thank you for contributing to our holiday.
I will edit logs when back in Brisbane to add more details to those that need more details and of course I will be adding favourite points as I go along.

School holidays so time for a tiki tour to visit friends in Taranaki. Stayed in New Plymouth today and enjoyed a stroll around Pukekura park. What an amazing asset for this town. Quick detour for this old cache. All fine. Thanks for the smiley.
Took awhile and nerly gave up but once o stopped looking I found it. Over all a great cash
Out finding some caches while in New Plymouth for a ten pin blowing tournament. Thanks smoking gun for the cache.
Thought I was losing my mind trying to find this! after rummaging through the overgrown grass I decided to have a sit and relax, 10 mins later I started looking and found it super quick! Such a good spot and an important lesson learned; keep calm and you’ll eventually find it
