..fabulous view- thank you to the people who replaced the cache- we are visitors from the west so we were pleased to find it!!
Today we spent the day out in the state forest with chippyroo! The weather was fine for such a day under the canopy of the trees.
This was our 4th stop for the day, once at GZ the was nowhere to be found, so after a 15min search, the cache was not located. The log where the cache was has been, by the looks of it used as fire wood. hope the CO does not mind but we had a spare container which chippyroo used as a new replacement cache. It would be a shame to come up here and have a DNF.
Thanks BodySteppingFreak

We decided to tackle a few caches in the Watagens with TeamSenz in the Geolux. There were a few muggles enjoying the view whilst bbqing their lunch (why do snags and onion smell so good in the ourdoors???) we enjoyed the view, look a few pics and then headed towards GZ for the cache. We searched for quite a while using the clue but couldn't find the cache in any log....the area looks like it has been almost picked clean of firewood and the cache may have fallen victim to muggles and fire. We decided to replace the cache as the owner hasn't been online for quite a while. We raided the Geolux and came up with a small black case and rehid it where the GPS indicated GZ is. TFTC

Was up here a couple of weeks ago but unable to locate the cache... looks like a fire has gone through it's old hiding spot some time in the last 6 months or so since last found and that it might have gone up in smoke! No signs of it at all
What a view! and what a find. Think we'll come back one day and stay the night and have a campfire if not total fire ban. TFTC
what an amazing spot, found this 2.5 weeks ago and only just figured out how to use this ipad app
Found with Henkeem on a beautiful sunny afternoon.Lovely spot. Even had a hangglider to keep us amused.
Absolutely love this lookout!!
Have camped here before and just being back there brought back all the good memories from that camp.
Had great fun driving around the Watagans to fill in time for Easter Saturday.
Great cache thanks, Will give a Favourite Point.

Found this one just as the sun was setting. Lovely spot for a late afternoon tea before heading home for the night. Thanks!
Found this cache a while back with the Ferriters. It's not often you get to walk out of your tent and see a view like this. Great camping spot. TFTC
New years day 2012. Geo cashing the area. No camera for a selfie. Love this spot in the hunter. Tftc.
Found at the start of a hike through the Watagans. A nice spot to stop for a break and enjoy the view. TFTH.
Found this one with Macca1 and the 1st Valentine and 1st Warners Bay Venturer Scouts. Our hike started at Macleans Lookout and finishes at Wet Wet Wetlands GCZMMX (Paxton)
Reperio at 1330. With the weekend off, and a beautiful sunny day, I thought it time to head out to this spot and revisit this wonderful view. Arrived to find a couple of muggles enjoying the view, and once they were gone, I wandered over to locate the cache. This is one of the best views going around.

Found en masse with the HAVOC CREW. Mrs. Morgan and gd_ were swarming all over GZ. Mrs Morgan spotted it from afar and gd_ pulled it out into the open, after awhile....very funny. Left calling card. TFTC SL
Had a moment to look at the views before the HAVOC CREW belted off to the next one. One of the best caches in the area.

Found at 2.25pm GAFF5 in the company of the Watagan Event crowd. After lunch back at camp, we picked up some more attendees and headed off for the afternoon caching activities. Normally this would be a fantastic scene, but with the heat and the humidity haze it was not at its best today. Still an impressive view.

Another group find with the Havoc crew while away for the weekend on the Havoc Watagans Weekend. What a fantastic spot. Mr Burners said " Cheese", but alas no one wanted to take his photo.... TFTC

An excellent spot for a cache due to the breathtaking scenery. Found in the company of the HAVOC campers. TFTC
This was basically our last cache on our list of 5 for the day we wanted to find and the geokids were looking forward to this one because my geodaughter was dying to take a picture with the disposable camera. anyway we had no idea where we were and where this lookout was when we set out from "Whataview" to find it. so simply with no map we just punched in the co-ordinates in the dash of the 4WD drive it gives us a compass and a distance and we just drive the way the arrow says and keep picking roads/tracks that head where we want to go... we were having a ball.. anyway after being lost (in a fun way) and back tracking and 4WDing we found the main road to this one and wasnt long before the cache was in hand... but alass... the camera is gone. so we signed the log, the geokids left and retreived a few swaps.. and we were off to hang gliders launch that we couldent find earlyer that day. Thanks for the adventure. Team JEZES

We took the arvo tour of the Watagans today, casing out some good future camp sites and bushwalks.
We drove past the freeze frame and disturbed some young muggles with child enjoying a romantic BBQ.
a bit of a wander had us on the GZ and introducing a friend to the geocaching.
TFTC. certainly great views up here.

Straight forward find while enjoying a lovely camping trip in the Watagans with fantastic friends, Bikiganoo & Spikemikey. Good to see a cache that has been around for a while even if it isn't still as per the theme.

Fantastic spot for a cache! Have wanted to get back to those lookouts for years. We eluded the camping muggles nearby for a quick easy find! Used the hint though as the GPS was struggling again with the heavy cloud and trees. No camera TNLN
What a place!! Great BBQs and easy access with 2WD. Took the travel bug. The camera wasn't there. I wonder if someone got the pictures developed - can you put the pictures here?.
Didnt find this one today-could have been a multitude of things-was pouring rain, very cloudy and the place was full of leeches...may try this one at a later date when we are close by again!
This was a nice drive from Turpentine campground with several other cachers during the Watagans 4x4 event. It was quite windy & a lot colder than it looked once we got out of the car, however it was a beautifully clear day and the views from up here are super.
Thanks,

This was our last cache in the Watagans mountains today and it certainly offered the best views. The carpark was fun of cars but no-one was around.
With so many eyes looking it wasnt long before the cache was in hand. thanks

What a view, TFTC, thanks for leading me here. I will definately return sometime for a picnic.
Unfortunately it was dark when I got to GZ, but the lights across the valley were great.

Found at 12:35.
I was a bit concerned about the signs warning of log trucks on that narrow road, but soon forgot them as I got further into the forest. As it turned out, I didn't see any.
A fantastic view at the end - would love to live in that valley.
I am photo 22 (numbers seem to go backwards ?). I may have also taken an accidental picture of a tree trunk (oops)
Thanks for taking me to a great location, BodySteppingFreak

What a drive. The views were worth it despite my passenger's concerns of the road. My GPS was mucking up, so it took a while to get to the cache itself. Photo 23 on the camera is me, just so you can keep track. I took the violin, and left the dice. Thanks for a enjoyable out of the way cache.

An easy find as the cache was clearly visible from the correct angle. Great views across the valley. I never realised how suddenly the mountain forest gives way to grazing plains.
We took a drive through the mountains then ended up in the Hunter Valley. Stopped here and at a few other lookouts on the way. Thanks.
Yup Dernel beats me to logging this find as usual. A surprisingly dry day in the watagans. What a collection of ugly faces you are going to have on your camera. Well... Dernel's anyway!
Found this one early in the day when looking for a spot to camp.
took Pic with Muddy Diver, and Muggle Rhett.
Thanks for the cache.

We hiked from Heaton Lookout, enjoying the challenge of the tough terrain on the way to McLeans and Hunter Lookouts. Spectacular views along the trek and a great spot for lunch where we found the cache easily, with the clues from the photos.
I took a photo of mother hen and absconded with Jarrah the travel bug koala.
Thanks for the cache at this great spot with its wonderful views.

Was no-one camping up here today, and besides the GPSr operator leading us a bit further than required, we found this fairly easily. Left a Koala TB but I hadn't noted the code so it won't show up as being in there! Whoops. Took a selfie as *thought* disposable camera was still full - actually Sarah informs me she took one of me with it anyway and it wound on, so maybe I did get me in there! Took nil. Thanks for the cache and bringing me back up here for the views I hadn't seen in some time.

Was to be 11th find of the day but muggles actually camping at the lookout required a pulling of the pin when we arrived around 9pm, will have to grab this one later.
Found at 12.05pm after a lenghthy drive. Did a round trip from Cessnock and picked up a few other caches along the way. Very pleasant spot. Couldn't get the camera to work though, it may be full. TNLN.
Third of 14 finds for the Team FAST Cache - Hunter Valley Night Caching run with geo-wal and zebrafive. Found at 10:30pm.
An interesting location to be visiting at that time of night. Great views from the lookout. Couldn't resist doing the search-light thing with our torches - the locals probably thought a night-club was opening up!

went for a drive in the country thinking we might be able to find one cache - but in the end the first one was fun to find so we tried a second, this one, among amazing grass trees ... great idea to have a camera ... we might get addicted!
