Answers sent to the earth cache owner for review. Approval received. Three caches in one location. Bonus. This place rocks.Freddo and e.gregory1 were heading up the middle of Australia following Stuart's well trodden route. We were travelling in air conditoned comfort and style. No stale food. No camels to carry water. We were leaving the cold winte for the northern season.Today was the day to find this cache. Today is the twentieth and fifth day of Julius Caesar's Month in the wonderful year of twenty twenty four. We found your cache container and added some inky stuff to the paper sheet or note pad you have supplied for a log book or scroll. The cache container and log book or scroll were in good condition. It was a cool cloudy and raining. No wind today. With the log signed and the cache replaced it was time to leave. Onwards to the next cache. Woot, that is not to far.I will apologize right now, because everything from here on is here solely for the purpose of padding the word count and winning that one hundred word diamond badge again. Somebody moved the goal posts. So many caches to find. So many caches to log. We find them, sign them and replace them. This particular geocache was found using one of the following GPS enabled devices, Garmin GPSr, Montana 680t, Oregon 650 or Dakota 20 and an Apple iPhone 11 using the marvelous Cachly app. Waypoints and paperless geocaching were downloaded via GSAK 9. Log prepared, checked and submitted using GSAK publish logs macro.Warning, this hobby can be addictive. It can lead to exercise, meeting new people and finding interesting places you might not have known existed otherwise. Beware: you may have fun. Apologies for the generic part of the cache log. We do apologise for the generic logs. Thanks to all the cache owner for placing this cache here for our enjoyment. Thanks for the cache. Merci la cache. Danke fr den Cache. Gracias por el cach. Fabulous area. Have been before but this time staying overnight. Got the nod of approval from the CO to log this one. Thanks.
Visiting the Devil's Marbles today from Threeways where we're stuck waiting for our car to be fixed. Only a week left to get home to SE Qld after our gap year road trip of the last 5+ months doing the "big lap". Lucky to get a hire car to come down here for the day. Amazed to get FTF on a new virtual here as well!! Figured out the final coords & found lots of wildlife at gz. Started looking for a container then reread the description & figured it out. Sent answered to CO & got the OKto log. Even though I'm several months behind logging the rest of the trip's caches I logged this one since I was doing the virtual straight away anyway. We did all the walks & couldn't get enough of the balls, so many shapes & sizes.Tftc shonkylogic
I did this cache all backwards but thoroughly enjoyed my walks around Devil's Marbles. I camped here the previous night - amazing stars, strong wind.Tftc!
OCW PelDroedGwin Towing the caravan, we pulled into the day use area and settled the geopets in the van (so good that theyre welcome in the carpark) before heading off to explore this stunning area. Such a fabulous area to explore and I liked this style of multi, very appropriate for a sensitive area. Answers sent to CO and permission to log granted. Tftc
Last time we were here I didnt read the cache description well enough to realise I would walk past GZ.Well, today I walked past GZ armed with the question and found the answers easily. A thumbs up from the CO and another find completed along the Stuart Highway. We are supporting our mate who is running to Darwin (@curlyrunsnz). shonkylogic, I found Satans Balls today. Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache.
Went for a walk to gather the info in the dark after setting up camp.
Went for another walk in the daylight around this lovely location.

On our trip from Alice to Darwin we stopped here and there. So we did at Karlu Karlu‘s. We liked these marbles very much!
We walked around, took a lot of pictures and found two very interesting creatures.
Answers were sent and so we log now.
Thanks shoncyologic for the mystery-multi.

Darwin to Adelaide Road Trip
Day Five: Threeways to Alice Springs
Weather: sensational!
Shonky said yes!
A lot riding on this cache as I need a multi in the Northern Territory for a challenge. I’d messed up the one at the cemetery in Alice Springs on a previous visit, and I needed help to get to the end of the one on Stokes Hill Wharf in Darwin, so here’s a chance to win the challenge honourably, plus it’s the first time I’ve visited this rather spectacular spot.
Well it was all going smoothly until I got to the final coordinates and couldn’t find a cache. Yes, it does help to read the cache description all the way to the end, and don’t rush in half cocked.
A great solution to the problem of distance and culturally sensitive sites - nice work Shonky Logic.

Travelling with richlink from Perth to Darwin along the west coast and returning to Perth through the centre and the Nullarbor. Awsome location and an interesting multi. Thanks shonkylogic for permission to log.
Travelling with iluvtrekking up the WA coast to NT and down through the Centre to SA and back home across the Nullabor. After overnighting at Banka Banka Station we are travelling through Tennant Creek to Devils Marbles. What an awesome formation. Enjoyed our stroll through the rocks, gathering the info to get to gz. Answers sent to the CO. Thanks shonkylogic
This was an important cache as it's very old and it took a while for me to re-read the listing to twig that this was even more rare and I needed to message the CO to log a find.
What a wonderful place to bring me, thank you.
This trip was sort of in place of a trip to a Mega that got cancelled due to accommodation problems, I was quite happy when Goose said do you fancy to caching break in the Northern Territory as this would be the last State or Territory for me in Australia.
Our plan was to fly into Darwin on the Friday night have a couple days in the area then start heading South stopping overnight whenever we needed to, our next goal was the drive to the geographic centre of Australia at Lambert Centre and then head back to Alice to fly home ten days later.
We both had a great trip finding some important old caches, large ones and the odd clever one too, we found Ammo Cans all over the place which was nice as i think we have found most of the ones at home in Tassie.
Thanks for the cache.

Our Northern Territory journey began in Darwin around 3am after a very delayed flight. We drove as far north as Fresh Water Camp (northeast of Darwin), followed by a loop to Liberated Cox (out to the west) and Litchfield National Park returning to Darwin. We then headed south with overnight stops at Katherine, Daly Waters and Devils Marbles before reaching our southernmost accommodation at Erldunda. From here we did a day trip to Lamberts Gravitational Centre on onward past Finke. Our last couple of days were in Alice Springs with a side trip via Hermannsburg and Glen Helen, all up covering just under 3800km. My thanks to all the COs with hides throughout the territory for helping make our trip so enjoyable.

Together with my favorite geocacher Milonguera we traveled to Australia We went to Melbourne via Singapore and from there we explore the south, the center and the east coast.
We walked around Melbourne and had a nice meet & greet event. Than we visited Philip Island with the pinguins and the Great Ocean Road. We fed and petted kangaroos visited the koalas and continued north via Coober Pedy to Alice Springs. We hiked around the impressive Uluru and through the beautiful Kata Tjuta and breathtaking Kings Canyon. The gorges of the Macdonell-Ranges are nice to. Than we traveled north.
Weiter gings Richtung Norden.

Thanks for showing the location and for hiding the cache. You should come to Berlin in Germany to find a lot of interesting geocaches, visit lost places in the surrounding Brandenburg and meet nice people at many events.
I wish you a lot of fun and great adventures while searching for the next geocache!**
Ich bedanke mich bei shonkylogic für den Cache, das Zeigen dieses Ortes, das Legen und Pflegen der Dose und den Spaß beim Finden! Thanks for the cache!

We are staying inTennant Creek for a couple of days, and today we took a day trip down to Karlu Karlu.
This has been on our bucket list for a long time.
This year we have the opportunity to explore north and west of Queensland and up into the Northern Territory and further north to Darwin.
We are loving the adventure, and this destination has been on our bucket list for many years.
The location was absolutely outstanding and quite awe-inspiring.
We enjoyed all the walks in the area and afterwards set about sorting our way through this cache.
It was only as we made our way through the required numbers and information that we realised this one is now a multi/ virtual.
we have sent our answers to the CO.
Thanks shonkylogic for the placement of this one, and also for maintaining such an old cache.

Catching up on some late logs, now that I have time, while travelling.
We are on the road travelling up through central Australian and down the coast of WA. I hope to grab a few caches along the way.
Loved stopping off here and exploring the area. It didn't take too long to find what was needed to do this different hide. Logging with permission.
Thanks shonkylogic for placing this cache in and interesting area and doing the maintenance, so we can enjoy finding it.

It took awhile to realize this was actually a virtual multi. A fantastic afternoon I had at the Devil's Marbles.
TFTC. Stopped here on our way from Barklys Homestead to Alice Springs. Beautiful scenery. Lovely stop-over.
After a great trip around half the country, up the west coast to Darwin via Kunnunura, Katherine, a amazing two weeks in Darwin, out to Jabiru and Litchfield. Down the middle to Alice Springs then on to Millicent for the Geoventure2020 (in 2021).
We then hit the road to cross the WA border before it closed due to a few cases in SA.
Now we are home with a few of the major repairs finished, it is nice to have an opportunity to catch up on logging some finds that need more information as part of the logging requirements.
Will send the answers through now we have a bit of time up our sleeves
A huge thank you to all the COs along our travels.

My husband and i are on a 8000km plus geo kms road trip from Brisbane to Uluru and we are on our way to Mt Isa and this cache was on my to do list and wow what an amazing place this is. We were in awe of all the rocks and how they were formed is beyond me. We gathered the information needed and when we got to GZ i forgot that it was not a cache i was looking for for just a few seconds and then we saw what we needed oh wow. i am giving this a FP when i get one to give as i recommend to stop here and enjoy it like we did . Visited Satans Balls during a trip from Adelaide to the northern tip of Australia and back. Traveling up solo along the Strzelecki Track to Innamincka, then through central Queensland to Quilpie, Blackall, Barcaldine, Hughendon and Ravenshoe to Cairns. In Cairns I met up with e.gregory1 and a non-cacher friend and spent three weeks on Cape York Peninsula before making our way back to Cairns and Mareeba. From there I headed on my own back home via Normanton and Karumba, Cloncurry, Mount Isa, Tennant Creek and back down the Stuart Highway through Alice Springs to Adelaide. All in all I spent six weeks on the road, visited many out of the way locations, enjoying the scenery and finding caches along the way. Thanks for the cache shonkylogic!
I worked out the coordinates knowing that we would be heading to the Devils Marbles the next day. At GZ I gathered the information and have sent my answers to the CO. These rocks are amazing.
Catching up on some missed logs from our central Aus/Kimberly trip. Gladded LL checked!

Found today on my Darwin camper van relocation adventure. Finally I’ve made it to a place that’s been on my bucket list forever.
I’d gone for a walk to see the sights, then sat down in the shade to see where I needed to be for the modified WP2. I was very close I found the answers only to realise when I’d run the numbers, that I’d passed GZ already.
Thanks for the cache at a bucket list spot.
Now to watch the camp hosts attempt to Marshall the nomads.

I always love finding old caches. And this kind of virtual multi was new to me. Was great fun solving it and learning something about the region. Answers sent to the CO. Thanks.
I first noticed this cache on our whirlwind tour south, and so zoomed right past, yet took note for our return.
Several days later, we beelined here from a free camp in the west macs, taking the greater part of the day, we crept in sometime after sunset.
So at the break of dawn, i made a meander around these stunning formations.
I love the idea of a multi-virtual in such a place, easily deserving of another favourite point, and my 2500 geocache milestone too!
Thank you so much for creating this unique cache oh-so-many years ago!

I love the idea of a multi-virtual in such a place, easily deserving of another favourite point, and my 2500 geocache milestone too!
Thank you so much for creating this unique cache oh-so-many years ago!
Day 24 of my solo camping trip north from Adelaide.
I travelled up the Strzelecki Track to Innamincka, then through central and western Queensland, eventually ending up at Mount Isa. I then crossed into the Northern Territory to Tennant Creek via the Barkly Highway where I found a spot to roll out the swag last night.
This morning I completed a few caches around Tennant Creek before starting to make my way south down the Stuart Highway towards Alice Springs, doing the caches along the way. But as seems to be my way with these trips, I got a bit distracted. I noticed two earthcaches that looked to be in interesting locations off the Binns Track well east of the Stuart Highway and north of the Plenty Highway, and thought I’d head there for tonight instead.
The Devil’s Marbles was along my route as I headed south. It is one of those places that was etched in my mind after I saw photos of it as a child. While it wasn’t on my ‘bucket list’, it was a place I wondered if I’d ever get to. Now I have.
Oddly, it wasn’t at all as I expected, and actually a much smaller/more compact area than I had anticipated. Nevertheless, it is quite spectacular and so easily accessed.
I did the calculations, visited the waypoints and collected the final information to send off, which was later confirmed by the CO.
I then ended up stopping here for a bit of morning tea after completing this multi and the nearby earthcache.
Thanks shonkylogic for the cache - Satan sure does have big balls!

Found on our trip from Tennant Creek to Alice Springs.
What a nice place to make a rest.
We were very surprised to see, which creatures can survive in the desert.
Thank shonkylogic, for your quick response.

We enjoyed our stay on the campground, it was a windy day and a wonderful view from the walkway around. In the early morning we watched the sun coming up, what a light around us! Afterwards we took a walk in search for answering the questions. Lovely place, thanks for letting us enjoy. TFTC!!

Today our tour - which began in Perth, WA , and led us thru Western, Northern and Southern Australia back to Perth, was simply driving from Tennant Creek to Alice Springs.
On the way we came to some interesting locations. Here we searched, found and logged this Multi-Cache.
Weather was good in the morning and it should even get better during the day.
Thanks to 'shonkylogic' for showing us this location, for the fun we had with 'Satans Balls' and for the smiley. The search here and today didn't take too much time, fortunately.
Answers are in the Way.
Greetings from Germany and we hope to see you soon in the forest, prairie, desert or outback .

With thanks to the CO, we have a smiley here. Traveling from Adelaide to Darwin, caching along the journey. TFTC
We traveled through Northern Territory for four weeks. We started the journey in Alice Springs and drove to Uluru, Kata Tjuta and then to Kings Canyon, Rebank Gorge, Glen Helen Gorge, Ormiston Gorge, back to Alice Springs, to Devils Marbles and then further on to the north. On the way we found some caches. This was one of them.
This is my first Multi in Australia!

Hi there shonkylogic. While on holiday in Northern Territory we workied out where GZ was and then looked for 'the animals'. An email has been sent to the CO with the required answers to the questions. TN (but photos), LN (but tracks). This is clearly a special place for the aboriginal people of the area - a FavPt for this cache. Thanks to shonkylogic for this cache - our find 7308.
Tenkae's Outback Adventure Day 7 - heading south then out to the red centre. We camped here over night and saw a spectacular sunrise before grabbing the answers for this cache. No trouble with the instructions so not sure what the previous dnf was complaining about. Great cache.
A fabulous place for amazing photos at any time of the day. We were lucky enough to get a great camping spot. It was way more popular then we were expecting... make of that what you will!! Emailing answers to CO. Thanks for the cache.
Had no problems working out where the required information was for this neat little 'virtual' multi. Great place to visit, with no confusing directions, danger or ridiculousness involved. TFTC shonkylogic.
How bloody stupid the first coordinates are a sign which is no longer there at z very dangerous place to stop so the coords should be changed absolutely ridiculous.
Heading north after losing my muggle friends as they have to head back home and back to work, I still have a few more weeks
I have been here before and it great to re visit this place.
A nice walk around to find out the required info
So logging with permission
A fav goes out to you for bringing me back here.
Thanks shonkylogic TFTVMC

Found this one as we stayed nearby for the night, logged with the permission of the cache owner.
Thanks for the cache shonkylogic.

Detour around Australia - family of 6 travelling in a camper trailer for 6 months!!
We have actually been to the Red Centre previously (before kids) and didn't plan to detour past again, but last time we took the Plenty Hwy and missed the Devils Marbles - so we detoured here at least before heading north towards Darwin. It was completely worth the detour - it was amazing and we camped for a couple of nights here. The kids made good friends with other campers and the rocks made for a wonderful backyard playground for the 2 days! we really loved exploring and i loved setting up the camera for some fun and some amazing photos here!
Thanks for the cache - a little walk we hadn't yet done!

Late log but found whilst on a road trip with my family, the finding of tis cache consisted of me jumping out the car and solving the puzzle whilst my family waited impatiently to go. TFTC
Apologies for the generic log, we have a few months on the road ahead of us so data and time are precious, better we log now than try and remember in three months time and fluff it up! We will try to add a little custom sentence or two here for those special caches. So what are we upto? TeamThommo are off on their annual 'Big Trip' this year it's a 'Great Northern Adventure'.
This year we have a couple of months to travel; we started at our home in South Gippsland and moving North through Vic & North West through South Australia and then up into the N T, stopping at lots of little curious spots along the way with our first major stop Coober Pedy. We then plan to spend time at Uluru, Alice Springs, Lake Argyle, Broome and beyond.
Geo mum is the main cacher in the family and needs to pick and choose which caches are done otherwise the rest of the team will get 'sick of caching'. We particularly like Earth Caches and letterboxes.
Thank you for supplying us with a cache to do along the way.

Sorry....you'll need to wait for answer until I get to a town with service in a few days - I can no longer wait for the email page to load up.....way too slow
We left Alice Springs this morning with no fixed plans of were we intended staying tonight just trying to find caches along the way until it was time to make camp.
We have visited this spot many times on our travels, the first time the main road went through where the diversion is now straight through the middle of the Devils Marbles and this are has never ceased to amaze us.
We collected the required information and headed to gz where we found the two creatures and emailed the answer to the CO and of course took the mandatory photos.
Many thanks shonkylogic for permission to log, we think that this is a great way to place a cache to showcase an area without having to leave a container where they shouldn't be left.

Can't believe that we are finally here. Have seen it on TV and in magazines and have always wanted to visit. We had fun collecting the clues and loved exploring the whole area at sunset, night-time and sunrise. TFTC
yep, found it. will do the log i had intended and add photos later when the computer decides to stop being an @$$!!!!
How sad to discover that the only 2 caches that did not download properly between Alice Springs and Tennant Creek are this multi and the nearby Earth cache! I shall return!
We spent Easter at the Red Centre Experience Event in Alice Springs then hit the road north toward Tennant Creek before turning east on our geocaching adventure to Cape York.
As we neared GZ I worked my way through the clues to find the first waypoint. Upon arrival we found the required information and while eating lunch I added the cords to my GPS. Now it was time to take a stroll in the 40C heat, so glad we came from the Pilbara and are used to this kind of weather.
I now have the desired answer and will forward it to Shonkylogic
thanks

Our last visit here was seven years ago but it's just as special the second time around. Loved the idea of this different type of multi which made sure we not only got another good look at the Marbles but learnt about the clever way nature adapts to these tough conditions. TFTC shonkylogic.
Stayed the night here. what a wonderful place this is on sunset and sunrise. Permission to log granted by CO. A great little multito boot! TFTC.
On the way North after the Alice Springs Red Centre Event, we made Devil's marbles our first camp stop. Set up Jonathan Swift the camper, then went for a walk, which took us to one point, then another, where we found the information needed.
Answers sent and approved.
Thank you very much for this fun multi, shonkylogic, and the chance to learn more about the unique formations. A fave from me!

Now travelling north towards Darwin after the Red Centre Experience.
Sad to leave but excited of what else we can see in NT.
The days are warm again, so the ugg boots are packed and we are again hanging out for the aircon.
Lots of great historic points to see before we reach Adelaide River for ANZAC day.
Message sent to the CO with our answer for here.

Having a ball at the Mega. So many people we haven't met and lots of friends to catch up with. We've found many great caches in the area and this was one of them.
Had smoko at the marbles and completed this cache while there.
Thanks for the cache shonkylogic.
