Down to Thorny Devil Brewery in Lake Clifton for the West Oz Geocaching event. Picked up a few caches before and after the event. Thanks to all that placed these for our enjoyment. Cheers TEAM LANDCRUISER!
Today the geocaching plan for Taurus Six and I was to head to Dwellingup to do some maintenance on our own hidden six caches there, we had had word that potentially one was missing and others needed new logs . We did a circuit to get there collecting new and some older caches in the Murray Peel area along the way first. The areas around Clifton Lake, Heron Point , Birchwood , South Yunderup , Pinjarah were where we collected todays caches from. It was perfect weather pleasant yet quite cool. It was great that to many new caches have been placed in this area over the last few months all in good condition. It was also good to pick up a few quite old caches and convert them into yellow smilies on the map. Once we completed all our tasks in Dwellingup we were on our way back to Bunbury when we saw the message for new caches out in the Bunbury area at Eaton just up the road. We got back as quick as we could and we noted there were actually two not one First to Finds to be had . After spending quite a while at the first one we reluctantly gave up with no success . We then made our way to the second one and after a few minutes we had cache in hand and it was a FTF. All in all a great day out geocaching. This was our sixth cache find of the day along these back roads of the Murray , Peel area. We had not been down this way before . There were a lot of people with horse floats around however we managed to park up and look inconspicuous as we made our way to gz . After navigating long grass and a few fallen branches we were happy to have cache in hand. Thanks for the cache find LandCruisers .
Parked the car and ventured into the bush after climbing through the fence, overshot the spot to head towards the beach but backtracked and got there.... This one hadn't been found for awhile and so we were worried that it may be a tough find. The grass around all the trees was very long and at this time of year there is always a worry about wobbly-sticks so a tentative approach was taken. With some persistence (and bravery ) pazza did find it but yeah the container is pretty broken. The log book and insides are dry and fine though so signed and replaced. paz did put it back in the FOT so as not to be on the ground and in the wet....apologies for not having a container to replace this!Thank you TEAM LANDCRUISER for placing and maintaining Private Beach for us and others to find and enjoy!
I thought it would be a short way from the road, but there is a fence. So to the car park and through the bush it is. Almost all the way along the beach on the way back. Wasn't prepared for wet feet, so back into the bush. The inside of the container was dry, while the log bag was soaked, so clearly doesn't do it's job any more. Took the logs out the bag, so maybe they will dry out over summer too. TFTC
Wow! Was definitely a private beach here this evening and an amazing sunset to finish a big day of exploring and caching!
Unfortunately the cache was water logged- I removed the plush toy that wasn’t helping things. Was able to sign the log but it will need a replacement . Tftc! Fav point awarded!

Camping nearby at Herron Point, we thought we’d head to this one for a bit of extra adventure. We were joined by some kangaroos and a beautiful sunset. Took a couple of muggles for their first taste of a geocache. Squeals of delight when it was spotted. Signed and replaced as found. Contents wet but log was bagged and dry. Thanks for placing this here and adding to a great weekend camping
Thought we’d come out for a drive this afternoon and claim a find for our date/year calendar. Thank goodness for the spoiler pic as the GPSr was showing GZ in a different area. TFTH!
Big day back down the Forrest highway with the aim of picking up all the dots left on the map between Bunbury and the caravan park where we were staying ready for the WAGB Event this weekend.
Ended up missing out on the Capel area caches as we ran out of time, will get these in the next few days.
Yes a few days earlier however given the time commitment to the event we needed to arrive early to be able to find all the caches in the area.
Some lengthy walks today as we have cherry picked all the P+G’s on every other trip!
A great day out on the road and in the sun. TFTH TFTC

On the way to WAGB, so decided to go from cache to cache starting just before australind and heading to our accomodation in Busselton.
Some huge walks today, clearing the map as on previous visits we have cached out all of the park and grabs in the area.
A good day out with some thirty odd finds. Thanks to the local COs with their caches.

Was flying solo on this one with Driving Mrs D and the rest of the Adventures in Odyssey crew waiting not so patiently for me...
With the light fading and the animosity almost reaching from the carpark I almost gave up but as usual made the discovery and found a much easier trail out than in..
Now off crabbing with our church family...

Very wet day, but we succeeded in finding this cache. Cache is in good condition and is still dry. TFTH
Well we must of had rocks in our heads getting this cache. It was pouring rain and very wet underfoot. We ran from the car to make a quick find. Cache was surprisingly dry. Logged the find and ran all the way back. Great fun. Tftc.
What a wonderful location, I guess next time we are out this way there will be a lot of houses around. Thanks Team Landcruiser a magic location.
Out souvenir hunting today (got to catch them all ) with AUS Vrede and decided to grab a few others in the area that we have missed for various reasons. Managed to dodge the rain showers and discovered a number of areas we had not visited previously. A good afternoon out .
First time down in this area and we were pleasantly surprised by the amount of houses etc here. The area around the cache is fenced off as a nature reserve but has easy access into it. Found the cache relatively easily and grabbed the coin which has been there for a while. Dropped in one of our tagz.
Thanks for the cache TEAM LANDCRUISER [^] - we made the find and the cache was in good order and the log dry .
This was find # 7 of 10 and 0 today giving us a total cache count of 3224.

Out caching with WA K TEAM. What a hidden treasure of an area. Never been over that side of the esturary before. Thanks for taking us there.
Dropped by for some maintenance but it needs a little more than an onsite visit.
The area has changed a lot in the last 12 years, roads are all now bitumen, parking near GZ is no longer possible and the track in has been fenced off and blocked with rocks and fallen tree trunks. We had to hoof it from the new car park almost 200 meters. To make matters worse we had arrived at high tide and had to wade to the beach.
Ammo box removed and replaced with a sistema box all contents dry and some new toys added.
Dropped off a Geocoin as well.

Originally found under family caching name clan-wallace, now re logging under own name.
Nice secluded spot. The geodog loved the different smells, which were basically roo & rabbit poo, each to their own, he was happy. TFTC
Tftc. The spoiler photo was a godsend, didn't want to be poking around the shrub too much at this time of the year for fear of snakes
Time to have a day out doing a caching run on a cool, sunny winter’s day, exploring the areas between Southwest Highway down to Yarloop and the Peel Inlet! A great secluded area with boat ramp, will have to return another day for more exploring. Took the hard way in doing some heavy duty bush bashing. Cache container is starting to get very weathered.
Was on my way to bunbury with kristybelle to pick up a few caches so we stopped to grab this one. There was a couple of roos on the road where i wanted to park the car so i waited for the to move on. It took a few minutes of searching to find the cache but its always good to find an ammo can. The can is becoming quite rusty but everything was still dry TFTC TEAM LANDCRUISER
Out with oohyeh to pick up some more caches down this way.... had a couple of kangaroos in the middle of the road near where we had to park but they soon moved as we got closer hahahaha short walk to gz took a minute or two to find as there was a couple of good hidy holes.... best keep moving as were running late to meet dimor hahahaha TFTC
Short walk through grass on water's edge - bit scary in the summer? Can't drive close now as track blocked off but not a long walk. Cache showing signs of water damage from flooding.
All 4 of us searched for a while, then bingo! There it was. Nice tin in a now spot
My first geocache! Been living in the area for 6 years never knew it was here! Couldn't believe my eyes!!
Muggle partner wasn't feeling well "man flu" so wasn't keen to take me caching so I had to do it solo
And since he didn't come I decided on a trip a bit further from home, well why not when it's not my car or fuel
I've always wanted to call in and grab this cache and check out the area as never been here before
A quick find of cache, thankfully

Heading home from doing some nearby maintenance I stopped in to grab this one. A nice easy walk to GZ and a quick find. Great to see an ammo can . There was some ominous sounds o a swarm of bees nearby but I did not see any thank goodness. A nice quiet spot with no one else around. TFTC TEAM LANDCRUISER
My first time over this side of the estuary. Nice beach......thanks for bringing me here.
Supposed to stop at this cache on our way down to Myalup but somehow it slipped my mind. Thankfully we remembered on our way home so zigzagged back to Forrest Highway to access this one.
After finding Herron Point we ducked up to this spot. What an interesting spot. Certainly a spot we would never have visited without geocaching.
Enjoyed a quick drive around before we left.

Found on an extended caching trip today with Chwiliwr. Log book was still a bit damp inside the bag but the cache itself was dry if a bit rusted. Thanks for the cache TEAM LANDCRUISER
Quite hard to find as we didn't want to go ferretting around in potential snake country. We saw the spot, but thought that it was way too obvious and looked elsewhere. Then Geobrother looked at the obvious spot and found it. Signed the log and sprinted back to the car where Geodad and Geocar were getting worried about our whereabouts- been gone for 10 minutes in unfamiliar bush.
Well done Geobrother!!
Well done Geobrother!!
Actually found this a few years ago I come across it accidentally didn't know what it was. It had some stuff in notebook pencil and a couple of other things. I didn't think much of it at the time thought it might have been washed ashore, until I recently came across this web site. My first find and probably going to be the most easiest.
Our last cache for the day, with lots of spiders. Thought we had the place to ourselves until muggle and wayward horse appeared from the south. The horse was out a ways from shore, whilst he was trying to coax her to come back. But she had other ideas!! I hope they managed to get her back before the light faded altogether. Cache needs a cleanout, very rusty inside and has been wet. Was disappointed that wot had beaten us to the TB. Thanks for the hide though.
Found with wot, who had already found it years ago.
This area is very eerie. Kind of like an old ghost town, without all the ghostly properties. Never knew it was here!

Fun walk with kids to find this one. Nice secluded spot. Cache moist and rusting, items inside rust stained. TNLN TFTC
Have been wanting to do this one for a couple of years, now with the new hwy going past it should see more visitors, nice to see someone has put the new logbook in and glad it hasn't been archived because it is in a beaut little spot, TFTC TNLN
Wasn't too keen to venture into this area on a warm arvo butit was the last cache of a caching/campingweekend so we went for it. Didn't come across anything nasty however the cache container is a bit of a mess. To hopefully overcome the problem we elevated the container and covered it with paperbark. It probably needs replacing, but as it appears the owner hasn't logged on for two years it probably requires a good samaritan cacher to either replace container or bring a heavy duty plastic bag to line the rusty ammo container.
Great spot! Quiet little beach. Thanks to a recent cacher for replacing the log book with a shiny new one.
Thanks for the cache!
Thanks for the cache!
The inside of the ammo box is damp and rusty and really just a mess.
The log is also damp but intact and in a good snap lock bag.
Needs a good clean out and fresh coat of paint.
Has pretty much no swaps left either. We left a few small toys in the snap lock bag with the log.

Beautifull spot. And close to the new highway.

Took nothing, left a couple of little swaps for the kids to find.

I've lived in Mandurah for years and never knew this little cove, Nice. Tin is still a little bit damp as is book, popped it inside a new sealed plastic bag. Took nothing, Left butterfly. Thanks for the hide
Our last day in Mandurah, so we decided to seek out this one.
Good fun getting to it now with the new highway, but we got there eventually.
Not too hard to find, but as the others say, it has been seriously soaked.
We had planned to drop off the donkey TB, but it is too wet.
Recent evidence of camping muggles who had really left their mark.
Their campfire was still smouldering, and there was litter everywhere.
Such a shame to spoil such a peaceful spot.

Took a drive down the new Forrest Hwy today and decided to do a bit of caching on the way. Found the cache without any trouble but there was about 25mm of water inside and most of the contents were spoilt, we dried as best we could, removed almost all the contents and placed in nearest rubbish bin, logbook was only dampish and we were able to sign it. The new Highway has certainly opened up access to this side of the estuary

Nice spot, found the cache without any problem. We had nothing with us to do any maintenance to the cache - sorry. thanks TEAM LANDCRUISER
There was a boat anchored very close by as we found this one. The contents was very wet and I did not have a spare log book on me.
Thanks for the cache

Came here by boat from the south. Waded in and had a blow out in left thong - dang! (That's thong as in feet!) Luckily not too much bare foot walking but found cache open and full of water, contents scattered. Log book sodden and unuseable - replaced but contents still very wet.

Should have left the coin there, Silent 1!! I'd found this one ages ago, but wot hadn't so I let wot lead the way and I just followed. The tide was in this time, so no easy walk along the sandy bank! Still a GREAT spot for a cache.

Nice area, initially ended up on the Southern side of the reserve and had to take advantage of the sand tracks leading North. Alot of people camping down by the boat ramp for the long weekend. Took me a while to find, the clue is kind of like saying at the base of a pine tree - in a pine forest!TNLNSL Thanks for the hunt.

Took a wrong turn which had me back tracking but I got there. The elderly muggles in the area looked like they were staying the night.
I did not see any TBs or the geocoin but there was someone who had signed the log before me and with their scribble I could not understand the name.

Was high tide so Bel bushbashed. I went into the water. Once the feet numbed I didn't feel the cold. There looked like there was some water going through GZ. Also some tree branches had fallen making it hard to locate the cache.
Found OK. Cache full of quality gear. We took a Toy Story CD and Bunjil Keyring. Left a Bike puncture repair kit and Disney bag tag.
Was a good end to the day. Decided to give caching away for the day after this one as with all the blood loss from Mosquitos we thought it best not to loose anymore as we needed some wits about us on the drive home.

This was a REAL challenge for one team member who suffers greatly from seasickness!!!!
When offered the opportunity to reach the cache via my brother-in-laws boat we though how great and packed the picnic. I think everyone with a boat must have decided to take to the boat ramp that morning - thats not bad except when you've been out and the wind has come up really, REALLY strong and keeping your eyes on the horizon is not working for you!!!!
Anyway, both Team : Pathfinder and Seekers Inc succeeded in finding both the cache and the NOT the cache containers. Extra points should be given for being able to make lunch on the boat on the way back whilst sailling into all those waves!!!!
The things we do for a cache!!!
