Walked past last night and watched the evening news and today tonight - what a great idea to have such an open TV studio!
This morning I decided it was time to be on Sunrise. Got there just after 8, and watched Mel and Kochie inside for a short while, as well as the Qantas choir and the Lamington girls set up for their upcoming performances outside. Then the Lamington Man appeared - first fully dressed, he was then asked to undress and go Superman-undies only...then they sprayed him with chocolate sauce, and he rolled in coconut flakes - today is National Lamington Day!!!
Waved my umbrella for the camera, geoparents saw me and so did a work colleague from Toowoomba who happened to watch the morning news. I was on TV a few more times, behind the Lamington Man....
Loved this idea for a cache!!! TFTC

Well I may not have had my GPS or a sign with me, but I DID get interviewed by Mell and Koshie, so I think I can claim this one (Yes I will now be retiring from caching and focussing mainly on my new TV Career!!!!!).

Wednesday 1st August marks the 100th Anniversary of the Scouting Movement. As part of the celebrations several hundred Scouts will be appearing on the Sunrise programme. This worldwide event is called Scouting Sunrise as the sun rises on the second century of Scouting.
I will be there with my Scouts in tow (I am a Scout Leader)... So keep and eye out in nine days time!

I have successfully managed to get myself on air during an outside broadcast at the Sunrise GZ. The photo attached shows me "in shot" on the monitor ( standing behind the presenter, sorry about the flash ). I have also included a photo of me standing at the GZ to verify it was me and a general shot of the OB.
0830hrs. We were watching the show on TV and decided it wasn't far from where we were staying. GPS had us in the opposite direction and by the time we got there we couldn't get to close. An interesting idea having a studio on the street like that. Thanks for taking us there.
That was not that easy to find as my GPS first send me to a wrong place good 150 m away, but somehow I managed to find. but beeing a bit late by doing this detour I was a bit in a hurry to get back to the Hotel to my training course. But at least enough time to take some photos! TFTC TNLNTP
Very intresting. I was amazed how much makeup the males wear! I couldnt get snapped on air, but took a photo anyway. No digital cam, but when i get the developed photos ill scan it up.

I went for an early morning walk before starting work here today. It looks like the co-ords are at the old location, as they were a fair bit out today. Took lots of photos of the gang from outside and then they came out to the crowd. Kochie is away & Mel was talking to some kids. I managed to chat with Nat & get a photo with her, as well as a bonus autographed photo too. Thanks GeoMonkeys,
Roostaman.

A Black Friday called for a 'team effort' with Team Lemmings and Oh No More Lemmings joining forces for the assult on 'Breaky Central'.
It was great to have the chance to catch up with the people we normally wake up to on the telly[|)]. The crew were all great and took the time to chat and pose for photos.
Took Leapin' Lizard TB and hope to continue his/her Aussie Outback Adventure...[^]

Didn’t we have a lovely time the day we went to Sunrise!
We followed GeoMonkeys’ hints and did our best to get on the tele.
We got to “Breaky Central†early, around 6:10am, but we’re too late to get audience tickets because of a big turnout to see the Veronicas live.
We introduced ourselves to Grant Denier, told him all about geocaching and arranged to get in behind him with our signs when they crossed live to the plaza for the weather at 7:06.[^]
Lemming Christina is holding the Oh No More Lemmings sign, Lemming Emma is holding the Team Lemmings sign and Lemming Rachael is holding the Mackay sign.
Next we moved to the windows behind the set where the Veronicas were to preform. When the girls sang their first song at 7:53, if you look carefully you can see our signs in the window as the cameras pan around.
We spent the next hour lining up for the Veronicas to autograph copies of their CD. However they were only going to sign CD brought at the Channel 7 Shop. The girlie lemmings got their CDs and autographs and all were happy.
After the show finished the on-air crew came out to Castlereagh St and signed pictures, posed for photos and general chatted with the crowd.
A good time was had by all.
Great idea GeoMonkeys!!!
Left TB Leaping Lizard
Took lots of photos

I know I'm being pedantic, but unless you want finding the se7en studios to be part of the challenge those coords are way off. They put you down at the corner of King & Castlereagh.
Anyone watching the end of the show would have seen us in the studio talking to Nat and Monique. We were all let in off the street as there was so few people. Will post a photo off the TV when we get back to melboure as michelles dad taped it for us, we also have some shots with the team holding the gps and a signed photo wich will all be posted we we get home.
Did this one one the spare of the moment as part of a 4 cache raid... Only 2 hours before a flight ending a short business trip to Sydney.
I didn't have anyone who could have recorded it for me but I can assure you that I was on shot at 7am during the leadup to and post news holding up my Navman GPS up in the air and really upsetting the two girls next to me cos I was on shot and they weren't :-p
There were no outdoor segments due to rain until well after I had already gotten back to my hotel room and was packing my bags in a rush for the airport... So not possible to get photo with the team but I did take this shot with my phone's crappy camera Immediately after I was in shot.
I missed out on Kochie's Sausage Slab - Looked yuck!
TFTC
PS I really had to run after that and made my flight back to Brisbane

Ah, one of those caches that you know you just have to do at some point!!!
Having known about this one for the past few trips to Sydney for Corporate Luncheons at the Westin (which I prepare the multimedia for), I've tried to work out how to be bothered getting up early and into the city when I didn't need to be there until lunch. Twist of fate had it sorted...
7am phone call to Luncheon coordinator to sort out final multimedia approval. Problems arise, so I offer to head in to the Westin to sort it out.
8am arrive at Westin, consider potential chance to do cache after seeing lights on Martin place.
8:02am Ring Samantha in Melbourne and have her hit record.
8:05am Duck up to hotel room, have multimedia approved
8:20am Finish at hotel, boot GPS, head to outside broadcast spot
8:30am Have production corralling weather background people
8:36am CACHE FOUND and head is in the background of the weather.
8:38am scarper back to Westin, jump in car, head to next job for the day, before heading back for lunch at the Westin later in the morning.
After processing the GPX file, I've realised this is my 180th log! Now to hit 200 during June - not bad for 6 months.

Well I tried to sneak in the background during the weather, but couldn't nudge my way in - many people here.
However, I did manage to get up to Grant, have a chat and get my photo taken with him. Woo Hoo. Thanks GeoMonkeys for allowing the fall-back option. If only I can get on now.

I'm arriving in Sydney tomorrow. Let's give it a go. Probably be there sometime around 8-9 am.
Just as a follow up... guess who owes a carton of booze at work..... we were discussing my day out yesterday and I mentioned this cache... some of the guys saw me..
I am waiting on Dave Rat (Ratboy) to email me the required pics... but this was the first find for the day. We got a lucky break as they were doing an outdoor broadcast, managed to buttonhole Koshie for some pics. Then we snuck around the side for the candid moments. Luckily Mrs Rat can work a VCR, as the Teenage Geckette in charge of the VCR at Swamp Manor did't get the Lord and Master on tape.
Pics soon Pesky(Grumpy) Monkey.. I promise.. otherwise you can have your wicked way with Ratboy
A good start to the day

Ahhh yes, Swampy has said it all, except for the part where he forgot to mention that he was at the other end of Martin Place with no idea where they filmed 30sec prior to Kochie coming outside.
Managed a few pics including some from the video. Thanks Pesky

Being a Friday today they were doing a fair bit outside and had some songs performed by this girl, I think she was from Australian Idol or something. The shot off the TV is pretty poor so you'll just have to believe that it's me, but there is a better one outside with one of the presenters. Sorry I'm not better looking.
Great idea.
I've actually stopped off and watched a couple of minutes of this show a few times before, on my way to work. The trick is to get your timing right, as they only have background shots of the crowd at certain times of the morning.

What a great idea for a cache! We jumped in front of the camera to claim the video virgin! Good one, Monkeys!
