3rd South Australian cache found! Lilshroom and Mama Lil Shroom trekked along with me. Beautiful spot, lots to see. We had a walk about the area and found a graveyard, old house, old dunny and an old water tank/thingy
After spending the morning in kayaking to MacCabe Corner, we headed back toward our caravan park in Paringa in convoy with Wollaston and HansandLinda. Detouring this way to grab just a few other caches wasn't *too* much out of our way The climb up the hill to this one was a bit challenging in the 40 heat after our 9km kayak but we made it eventually. Thanks for find #5757TNLN
After a week of caching around Adelaide incorporating The Great Leap Forward event, HansandLinda, MeandDe and I are working our way towards Canberra. At Paringa for a couple of days of rest and maintenance. We grabbed this one today. Another great day for caching. TFTC Rabbitto
TFTC Rabbitto your cache Old Customs House that we found today. We are camped in Paringa for a few days with Wollaston and MeandDe. A plan was hatched to attempt The virtual and the multi at MacCabe Corner. After kayaking upon and back we loaded the cars and slowly made our way back to Paringa. Not without finding a few caches along the way .Find Count: 19069
After checking out the old Customs House and chatting with the owner, we took the Wetlands Walk and then went up the hill to find your cache. We were surprised to see the little cemetery up here. A good spot as its way above any flood level we guess. But first the cache. followed our GPS and there it was. Not hard to find. All is good here with this cache. Thank you for placing this cache and showing us this place.
Thanks you for providing us with a beautiful view. Sorry I didn't sign the book came with out a pen.
Good stretch of the legs to get up to this one. Great views and a historic cemetery close by. Thanks Rabbitto for this cache
While travelling through the area we picked up a few caches along the way and this was one of them.
Caches and contents were very good.
Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache for our enjoyment.

Forgot to log this from last weekends trip away.
We attempted Victoria’s North but were beaten back by the terrain and the mozzies.
Best achieved by boat. A note for next time.
This hike up the hill had me panting. Great view from there. Took a photo of the permanent inhabitants there and swatted the monster mozzies on the way back down. Ha. Yup, I’m getting soft.

Another cache find on our 2022 South Australian Adventure.
We have joined forces with FelixII so we are off to see what we can find today. We had a fantastic day wandering over the borders finding caches in three states. Thanks to all the COs for taking us on our geo-guided tour.

Caching the border fence road with iluvtrekking buddies from WA. Glad there had been and is no sign of rain out here today.
Replaced the broken container here with a new napisan type bottle. Man the mosquitoes were friendly and HUGE. Also saw a sign warning of encaphelitis.

Staying in Renmark for a short holiday, using caching as a guide as to where we travel. 41 caches were found along and around the state border. This cache is one that was found today.
A quick find on our way past. Didn’t have a spare container with me so unable to replace. Lid is cracked through and in need of repair. Cheers.
Find #4250 on 18 Jul 2022.

As per previous finds, the lid has perished and log book eaten out. Found enough of the log book to sign.

On a journey through the border of nsw, south Australia and Victoria. As I heard of geocaching by tiktok. Looks so much fun so I thought I mighty as well have a go. I have now got the idea in my head of what a geocache looks like and the devious spots.

While cruising a stretch of the Murray between Mildura and Renmark with other members of the Royal Geographical Society of SA, I had a small window in which to look for a few caches. Unfortunately the broken lid has allowed termites to make a home in the container using quite a bit of the log for food. There was still enough to sign, but this cache really needs attention now. The view across the river was definitely worth the small climb! Sorry for the late log. TFTC
TFTF. Container lid is broken. It has been raining but note book log was only damp and still able to be written in
This did seem to be on private land with an old family cemetery nearby. Lovely view though. Tftc
Out for a short but busy holiday with sir_spectre. Today it was going to be hot but not as hot as yesterday so today we did a few walks and braved getting out of the car to make finds.

I camped down by the river last night and after breakfast and breaking camp I took a walk up here and was delighted with what I found.
One of the things I love about geocaching is the little extras you get to see that you wouldn't otherwise know about.
A favourite point for the location.
Thanks Rabbitto

Day 43 of my solo camping trip that had taken me from Adelaide, through Victoria and around Tasmania, then up to Queanbeyan and the ACT for the Clear Waters Mega event, then back to SA via southern NSW. One more day and I should be home.
The weather has held out beautifully and today I made my way from near Mildura up to the northernmost point of Victoria, then down the Border Track.
Its been a great day, visiting some lovely places, with quite a few cache finds and a couple of nice walks.
I wandered up the hill to find this one before walking to the Victoria North cache from the Customs House.
Thanks Rabbitto for the cache.

Out enjoying a weekend caching with the geofamily. Cache was a quick find. The grave yard was an interesting place to check out while out that way. TFTC
Great views from the top! Well worth the visit! Cache is still in good condition. TFTC
Found this cache today while grabbing a few smilies in the area with some family. We enjoyed a short walk up to the GZ and managed a quick find. After signing the log and returning the container we headed up to the old cemetery to have a closer look before heading back to the car. Thanks Rabbitto for the hide and for highlighting the old Customs house.
In Renmark for a family holiday for the week and having the opportunity to grab a few finds with Snap Happy and Happy pant. Up early and today we decided to grab some of the caches up near the South Australia and North Victorian borders, which might require a bit of a walk or 4WD to grab. We discovered some good hides and had no DNF's. As always, there was plenty of laughs and fun had, along the way.
Wandered up the hill this one. It was a quick find at GZ. Then we enjoyed the views and also checked out the nearby small grave sites. Visited a few travel bugs to this great little location.
I am currently writing detailed logs because of a challenge provided by Project-GC. "The Author" Badge challenges geocachers to average one hundred words or more in each log. As of the start of 2018 my average was only 47 words per log, which seems a long way from the 100 target. Given that I have found so many GC caches, I have to write many logs with well over 100 words for a long period of time to get my average to the target. Apologies to anyone who finds the logs tedious but it is the only way that I can strive to attain this challenge. After over 7000 plus caches (which includes all cache finds up and including yesterday), the average log length is just over 50 words. I am now entertaining the possibility that I might be able to achieve my task before the end of next year. It's surprising how much is has increase since doing this.
Thanks Rabbitto for placing the cache for us to find and doing the maintenance to keep it in play.

What a gem of a spot. After finding the cache we explored the cemetery - easily missed if you don't go for the walk.
Found during an epic trip to 3 of SA state's corners - Haddon, Cameron and MacCabe. There was dust, eagles, a flat, video and lots of photography, mud and mostly more dust. An event in Innamincka broke up the dust and quenched the thirst.
Thanks to Rabbitto and **clear skies** from TeamAstro. [^] Cache the planet! [:o)]

Day 2 of my trip from Adelaide to Tasmania.
I am currently on a 5 day road (caching) trip from Adelaide to Melbourne exploring the outer most towns, On my trip I am going through Renmark, Mildura, St Arnaud, Ballarat then to Melbourne. Along the way to explore more I am caching.
Today was about collecting just what I drove by and trying to clear out some of the areas of the beaten track..
Sorry for generic log.

Explored the small cemetery of 3, whom I found out later today that their decendants still own and run some of the big farms around here.

We always try to prioritise cache finds for hides that predate our joining the geocaching hobby. Especially caches that are still maintained!
After finding the nearby GCA cache, i set off to claim this hide as well. Needless to say, I had the hill to myself, unlike the riverbank campsites below. After signing the log and returning the cache, I continued on to visit the Stoeckels. Almost alone, and probably very lonely. The river made trade easy, but life would have still been hard.
Thanks Rabbitto.

Hi there Rabbitto.
We found your cache **"Old Customs House"** at 12:25:00 PM today. (This makes our find count 16126).
Our trek today took us around Paringa and Renmark via the "next closest" route as determined by our GPS. On our trek we found a variety of container types. We ended up finding 13 caches with 1 DNF's.
Thanks for placing this cache here, without geocaching as our guide we would never have found so many interesting places on our travels.
**Coordinate Accuracy:** We found the cache around 2m from where the GPS said we should be looking.
**Cache Condition:** The cache is UV damaged and brittle. It really needs some owner TLC.
**Took:** Nothing.
**Left:** A Smiley Badge.
Thanks for the hunt today,
Regards
Ian & Penny.

Adelaide trip September 2015. I spend five days driving to Adelaide taking some more remote routes across the river land area and exploring new places along the way. Day 3. More outback travel along the Murray from Lock 8 to Moorook finishing the mail route and visiting Berri and Loxton. A great view from up by the cache.

Thanks to the Burton's for the kind replacement on our container on this cache. Apologies for Harry the Huntsman. I will have a word to him next time I see him.
What a great location for camping and learning some more of South Australia's history. We camped here for 3 days and did the corners run in the little boat.
Cache container was cracked and falling apart and the contents pretty trashed. Salvaged what I could and replaced the container. As I was returning salvaged contents to the new container, a big huntsmen ran over my hand...needless to say it frightened the bejeebies out of me.
Cheers and thanks for the cache

On a bit of a geotour during what remains of my holidays, MuggleWife is back at work so I'm off to Mildura and Renmark via Bendigo and Swan Hill then back to Melbourne through Pinnaroo, Bordertown and Horsham.
Day 2 of my journey of my journey was almost a false start. I camped overnight in Kings Billabong Wildlive Reserve just out of Mildura and was up bright and early, feed, cleaned and packed up by 7:30 am to hit the road and the ignition went click, click, click. Having walked 2 km to meet the RACV and then into town for a new battery, I'm finally on the road at 10 am.
Nice spot for an icy pole and it went down real well after a couple of k walk to the south to investigate the area. Cache was a quick find right where it shoulda been. Interesting little graveyard also.
Thanks for placing this cache Rabbitto
