No luck for me on this one. Found all the clues that seemed to match, but no cache. Then the kids have just got out of school, so I better get out of the bushes!

It was getting dark already but we still found it! We were thrilled to find a TB and took it with us to bring it a step further on its journey.

Found last day of caching holiday in Nelson. Intresting place. Left TB car and lizard took a car.
Found cache OK on our walk into town but had to be very careful of a muggle hoovering up the leaves! He proved quite a challenge when it came to replacing the cache. However, the youngest member of team Ballan managed to return the cache OK.

5th and last of our "Mother's day geocaching outing". Always wanted to come and visit this location but had never got around to it (drive past it several times each day)! Really interesting to read history on noticeboard. Took Jimminy Cricket toy and added glow-in-the-dark sword.

Took a late afternoon walk from our daughters home to this one. Took Junior Knight and his 5 year old sister (our grand children) and their mother with us. This was a good challenge as it took us a while to track down. Found by the 5 year old. We reckon it was because her eyes were closer to the ground than for the rest of us.

Thanks for the hunt. I drive past this point at least 10 times every time I am in Nelson so it is nice to have a reason to stop and have a look.

At 8.30am on a weekday morning, this is NOT the place to be discreet. Teen muggle central station, with all the high school students taking the short route through the park to school. Took a while before we could access the cache, avoiding dog walkers also.
Grabbed UGA & Nippy TB to take to a quieter spot
Out - Ninja, In Jiminy Cricket.
An interesting place, where the park seems to have grown up around the gravesites. Some very venerable names here.

An interesting combination as urban public park and old cementry. However, the park use is dominating and thus a great number of muggles strolling around on this Sunday afternoon even in the cache location area. Not to spoil the fun for our followers we gave up.
Albatross1901 and Florian from Germany

11.20am. Nice park displaying great autumn colours - they should get better yet over the next couple of weeks. Took the advice and walked around the streets to the east after locating this cache and enjoyed the splender. Reasonably easy find.

We have been nearby this park many times (on foot and in a car) but have never had a good walk around. I am very glad to have been brought here through geocaching.

Young muggles in the area, seemed to think that they knew what we were up too!

Lovely pleasant place to walk with graves sprinkled between the mature trees. Great location for a cache. TNLNSL. Thanks
Took some time to find it. A muggle walked by with her dog asking whether we were looking for the mugs she found in the bushes
Thanks
Thanks
9.30pm. Was hard to find using cellphone as a light source, but conveniently there were no muggles around. A nice place to head for an evening walk; interesting history.

This was my last found cache on this great Nelson geocaching day. I found it really quickly with just coordinates (I had no description printout of this one). Nice area. TNLN.
Tough find due to the GPS being out by about 10 metres, but the clue certainly helped. No swaps.
Easy find, thanks.

Found this cache without too much trouble, apart from a friendly dog that gave me one heck of a fright when I was replacing the cache. Took travel bug "Pumping Iron Kiwi"

This one was hard to find among the shrubbery (which incidentally can cut you), but I persevered and got methodical, and there it was. Got muggled as I thrashed my way back out to the pathways, but they didn't see me at the actual cache. No swaps, cheers, Grandalf.
the date logged is just a guess...lol. i did this cache a few weeks ago and forgot to log it! this is the 2nd attempt at this cache! but found it this time! took nothing and left instant kiwi. the reason we had problems with this one is because all the trees are weird!!
A little more sensibly dressed with fewer people around, found it - but took longer than usual! Must be hidden in my blind spot . Nice one! TNLN
Visited cache on 1/6/05 and all was well. Blowing leaves had truly buried the cache, so took care of that problem. Altered the clue somewhat to compensate for varying GPS reception in the trees. Enjoy
Had motorbike gear on, carrying helmet and luggage, and muggles everywhere! After 2 minutes of poking around, decided it was a better idea to arrive looking less conspicuous at a less busy time of day and look then. I will be back
metallicacher and i could not find this one! looked for about 20 mins but got dark so we gave up on that one for the night, will definately get back to this one. hopefully it wont take us 5 hunts like sobad!
Missed it the first time I checked there, but a bit more poking did the trick. Thanks.
12:12 - This one took a lot of looking, lots of muggles looking at graves.
Great hiding place, this needed an extensive search. I looked at the final place several times, before spotting it.
Bummer I missed the TB, as we are back to the UK in a couple of weeks. Thanks for cache!! TNLN...

Dropped off TB John Deere Racer. Lots of tourist visit this cache and should help to get Racer overseas.

our second attempt at this one. First time we spent an hour looking to no avail, second time took 5 minutes. We were pleased to find it. Good clues. Thanks
Coverage around site is not good, but found it without the hint.

Once I'd found the area it took about 10-15 minutes of rooting around to locate the cache. Very disappointed in SoBad's miserable effort P
Found this after 3 searches. Found it easily third time. Limb had been removed from tree, and think park workers had temp removed it day before and then returned it. We found it not covered and out in open. So have re-hidden it again in same location.
Not sure where you got the nameas it ain,t in trafalgar park thx 4 the find any way had just me as a spectator may be she will be taking up caching lol
FINALLY found it on my 5th attempt (..shame..)!! I am going to rename my self Mr Thickiest Thickset the Amoeba. I felt in the end that I knew one gentleman I found in my searches as a family friend... Next time I'll take Mrs SoBad (the 'blood hound').
Forget your GPS in here (you'll probably end up in a blackhole) - instead lift your nostrils to the air, sniff the wind, and get hunting. Good hunting....

15.45: This was our first cache on the South Island. There a lots of caches round Nelson. We decided to look for this one, because it was the closest to the supermarket where we stopped coming from Picton - going to Motueka. Don't try to find an accomodation there on the weekend... It took a while to find it and were asked by muggels(?) passing by, if we would have found it. But we think they didn't what we were looking for, because they didn't know the GPS-device. Wheelchair access without problems!

Certainly less regimented than most cemetaries; you never know who's grave you're walking on!
We used the clue, as it was raining and we didn't want to poke about wet underbrush too much, and so found it quickly. This is, indeed, a pleasant area of Nelson.

2nd cache for the day... the ominous clouds swirled menacingly as we embarked on this quest...
Well hidden and very good directions.
GPS coverage poor in the trees, had to resort to a good old fashioned compass to get bearings!
- carabiner and green stone rock
+ tweezers and blue sun key ring
Cheers,

We had a few probs with our GPS this day so finding the site proved a little bit of a mission and ended up exploring another spot further down road for ages but nothing made sense!
Everything fell into place when we finally got to the correct area - felt like true detectives!
-/+ nothing
Happy New Year!

Tree cover was a problem So I ended up using the hint which was much easier. Found it quickly. Interesting the way the graves are interspersed amongst the gardens. No exchange made. Cheers Gav [323]

We kept losing our GPS signal under the trees and eventually had to resort to the clue. Found the cache though. It is a very interesting wee park to visit, thanks very much. Took the lizard, left "Captain Underpants"
I had to use the clue to find this one as my gps was indicating a very open area closer to Trafalgar Street. I see that some cachers have written their logs in the wrong end of the logbook.

Great cache site although the trees confused the GPS! We spotted this site back in England and hoped to be the first to find it. However we didn't arrive back home in Nelson(not too far from the cache) until the evening of 14th November. We had been beaten by a day!
We took the 'Hand it to Bandit' travel bug and will place him on our travels north in a couple of weeks. Hopefully s/he will reach home in 2005. We left a pair of decision dice.
Thanks Lys and Ian

Well done USAKIWI .....
This was the second find of the day. We took some phots and had a nice stroll to the site. Its a great park eh! We dropped of the "Hand it to Bandit" Travel Bug that I rescued from the early winter snows near Banff and Canada. His master would like him to head back to home as quick as he can. Can someone help? Also - singing bass + kauri heart.
Nice one!

09:00 Bummer. I had so looked forward to be FTF but failed. Followed the clue but couldn't find the actual cache and eventually ran out of time.
